My client has a Squarespace website and we are looking for a solution to embed a searchable resource database on this public site. Visitors to the website would be able to filter by topic, keyword, etc. Will Airtable do this? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to set-up base for tracking some financial information. Can someone help me with how to do this (I might be missing something obvious or it may be can’t be done :D). I will try to simplify it so it’s clearer. I have two fields A & B and Status. Everything that I will explain happens in same record. I will use column B to write amount to be paid. When someone change status to Paid, I would like to input value from B into A, after which I would reset the status and “empty” field B. Then I would enter new value for B and when status is again changed to Paid, I need it to add new value of B to previous value of A (basically B=B+A). I need this process to repeat multiple times (every time someone enter new value for B and change status to Paid). I hope this is clear enough so you can understand. I’ve searched and found somewhat similar solutions, but none (that I’ve found) seem to hit the head of the nail for what I am seeking to accomplish. I have a Budget table with records representing each month. One of the fields is “Projected Income”. For each cell in that field, I am seeking to show the corresponding month’s Projected Income from another Table called “Projected Income”. In the Projected Income Table, I have configured it so I have records representing the month, and currency fields representing the client monthly payment. (I have also configured it so I have records representing the client & fields representing the month - I’ll remove the records/fields I don’t need.) So, I am looking to insert the totals of the projected client payments for each specific month into the Budget table’s record cell for that month in the “projected Income” field.

Hello All, I am using the autofill feature to create re-curring items. Currently, for a calender I’m trying to create recuring items that occur every Monday. Since airtable cannot handle recurring for one line item, i’m trying to build this using the autofill feature. But, there is a small hiccup. Scenario: I have a class on Monday night from 5pm-6pm. So, I create two records. RECORD 1: Start Date field - Oct. 7th 5pm End Date Field Oct. 7th 6pm. RECORD 2: Start Date field - Oct. 14th 5pm End Date Field Oct. 14th 6pm. Now, I select all four fields and use autofill to drag them down. It gets the dates right and will copy every Monday till the end of time. But, it also subtracts one hour from the times…so RECORD 3, RECORD 4, etc all go from 4pm to 5pm, instead of the proper time 5pm - 6pm…why does it subtract an hour, how do i prevent it changing the time? Hey guys, Looking for a automated way to ‘expire’ or move a record from one ‘active’ table to another ‘achieved’ table in the same base. The current column that I want to do the check on is a date column in the format (currently dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm). I basically want to move anything that has passed a certain date to a different table. Both tables have the same columns

I’m wondering if this is possible at present. My use example is thus: I’m currently organizing the civil parishes of Scotland by county, and therefore linking a table of hundreds of parishes to their home county in a separate table. Aberdeenshire has eighty-six different parishes and I’d like these to show up in both table view and form view alphabetically. I know I can reorder them by dragging each item around, but it would be far more efficient to have them automatically reorder by alphabetization. Is reordering a long list of linked items expressly a manual process? Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have!

Hi! I am trying to do the following: from a Webflow form, allow the user to select certain products. When finished, go and look for those products in my Airtable base and export a .pdf that contains their full-length descriptions. These descriptions exist in a .pdf format that have graphics, diagrams, etc. I am guessing the best way to go about this is through an HTML export but I’ve never done it before. Any ideas on how to approach it? I was thinking on using Zapier for the triggers. Thanks a lot!

Hi there, I would like to give a background to this question. I run my own recruitment agency/staffing business so I have a large number of resume/cv documents. When I am given a job vacancy to work on for a client (e.g. they are looking for C# Developer with SQL experience and power BI) I would use my current Recruitment ATS application to search within my database of CV’s and it would bring up matching candidates by searching for keywords WITHIN each document (Its vital that I can pick up keywords within the document and NOT just the title) for instance I might run a boolean search like this… c# AND sql AND (power-bi OR “power bi” OR powerbi) AND (developer OR programmer OR “software engineer”) and it would then show me all of the resumes that fit these criteria. So my question is are you aware of any app within Airtable that could provide this function for me please? Any response/suggestions are greatly appreciated! Many thanks and warmes

I have one tabled named “customers” and another name “properties”. One customer can be related to multiply properties. In another table called “Leads” I have a linked field named “customer” where I select the correct customer. I’d like to have another field called “address” where I’d be able to link to the “properties” table but it would ONLY show properties related to the Customer selected. Is that possible?

Basically, my use case is similar to authors and books they have written. the parent table would include information about the author, like name, age, etc. Each author will only have one row. The child table consists of books they have written and the book’s information, like copyright date, publishing house, etc. What I need is for the parent table to have in one cell( so not duplicating the authors) each of the book’s information, not just the name, the author has written and the parent table is updated whenever there is a new entry inside of the child table. if this was a database, it would be a regular Authors table with a JSON called books with each book’s information, not just the name, the author has written. I could technically do this using the airtable API but that would create too many calls as I would have to filter for each author

Hello, pretty often I use IPad to print documents from Page Designer. In order to do it I open my base in the browser/safari and go from there. After I hit ‘Present’ I make a screenshot (print doesn’t work giving me a blank page). Then I just print the screenshot. Works perfect. However the person with whom I shared my base (as Editor) don’t have ‘Present’ option. Only Print. Any ideas why it might be happening? We both have the same large Pro iPads, hers is the newest, mine is 2 years old. Thank you!

I’d like to combine three fields from three columns (Start date and time, Description, Duration). However I’m not aware of a way to format the "Start date and time’ so that it displays in a more user friendly format - I’m getting “2018-07-01T12:00:00.000Z “ I’d like to have “2018-07-01 T 1.00pm” for some reason it’s also saying 12pm not 1pm. This screenshot also shows the setup. The duration is also a problem displayed as seconds I think /60 /60 give 2.5 and I’d like it displayed as 2:30 or 2h 30m. I need to bring these into one column with a concatenate so that on another linked table I can rollup this information when I allocate multiple items/rows to a given invoice, so that I have all the ‘Start date and time’, Description and Durations rolled up for a

hi. im trying to change the view with filter by api as i said. (outside airtable) i read the api document. and tried to “filter by formula” by airtable encoder. BUT as i understand it only support “GET records” which is not i want (to ADD filter in the view) is there a way?

Hi, I’m an Airtable Newbie. At work we are setting up an inventory of our items/assets to be checked in and checked out of our warehouse. We have an Asset Management Base set up and populated. The individual inventory records are barcoded as well. What I’m looking to do in the same base, but under a different table, is run a check in/out list. Ideally we would be able to use the Airtable mobile app > open up the base > go to our check in/out table > scan items in or out > have the table automatically fill in the designated fields. At the moment, I don’t see anyway to do this, other than scanning the barcode and then manually linking to an existing record in the Asset Management table. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi folks I’m having an issue with the Charts app. I’m setting up a simple scatter chart with x and y axes drawing from formula fields in my base outputting a percentage and a decimal, respectively. After initially setting the axes, the plot works nicely, and when I rollover the data points on the chart it shows me the points measurements alongside the primary field data for that entry, identifying the point. My issue is, when I then go to group the points by a third field (using the “group by” toggle in the chart’s Y-axis settings), while the grouping displays on the chart correctly, when I rollover any particular point the primary field data that appears on the chart is for a completely different point. Though, when I click on the point, it does bring up the base entry for the correct field it is supposed to represent. Am I doing something wrong here? It seems like a bug to me, and it reduces the usefulness of the charts app quite a bit for me. Would app

Do you still have to manually go in and delete each record from every table in a template? That is an almost impossible task. Seems that every other SaaS that does something similar to airtable has a template data delete function… Was hoping Airtable caught up to the times as this is why we did not use them before

Hi. I am fairly new to airtable. I am trying to represent my marketing data on a chart, but I cannot get the chart to represent the way I want it too. I want it to show the $ amount on y axis, months on x axis and then a stack for types of marketing. How do I make this work. Thanks in advance

I have a table in my base that captures information about tasks and what person they are assigned to. The field with the person’s name is a linked filed to another table that captures information about them and their company like contact information. Since we have multiple people working for some of the companies, I would like to create a lookup field for my task sheet that shows which company they are associated with. However, since the table with that information is linked —> that way, it isn’t showing up as an option when I try to create a new lookup field. Any ideas on how to fix this? I tried to write an automation, but because these records have different IDs, I can’t figure out how to get it to write back to the correct project. I also tried to do another linked field that read <---- from the contact information sheet to the task sheet, but it just started to create new records when I put the information in.

I have a scheduling base for Volunteers helping at Non-Profits. I am wondering if it is possible accomplish these with a formula? I have attached a generic base to give you an idea of what i am looking for. I have entered the answers into the fields as an Example via text. #1. Volunteering with - If multiple volunteers are on the (same date, same location, same start time, same stop time), I would like column " :raising_hand_man: Volunteering with :raising_hand_man: " to show the names of each volunteer on the same detail. #2. Double Booked - If a volunteer is signed up for multiple details the same day I would like a column “ :eyes: Double Booked/Overlapping Shifts :eyes: ”, if they are double booked or have overlapping shifts. #3. Relieving/Relieved by - I would like two columns " :handshake

Hello, I am in search of an API to manage the shares of tables and bases. The idea is we would keep a permission list (potentially the list would actually live in airtable, but this shouldn’t be relevant to the ask) and be able to verify that the airtable permissions currently in force are those that are recorded in our separate source of truth. We are a nonprofit organization that uses Airtable heavily for our day to day but care deeply about information security as well. Part of the problem is mitigating the spread of share links, direct individual shares by members, and non-expiry of shares for members who are inactive in our system. It seems that there is no such API available. I could use webscraping to simulate what happens in the web UI, but obviously this is suboptimal. As Airtable’s adoption rises and our organization grows, I consider this a critical issue for our continued usage of the product.

Hi - just staring out with Airtable and wondering if anyone knows how to do the following. I have a table that is collecting a variety of meeting requests at my conference, and have 3 different forms which are collecting requests from different audiences. For each of those forms, there is a date selection of what day they want the meeting to take place. Is there a way to limit what dates they are allowed to choose? I don’t necessarily want to use a single-select field, because I want to be able to use my calendar view for the table to plot out what dates the requests are for (assuming I can’t do it if it’s not a date field). I also need the ability to limit the dates to a range of 4 days for some of the forms and only 2 days for another form. However I want it to be the same field to avoid having multiple columns of event dates. Is this possible in any way? Help appreciated!
