I keep creating records on the wrong tables whenever I use the ios app. Is there a way to move a record to a diff table?

When using a form to gather input to a linked record field, is there any way to show the end user a field other than the primary field/column? Case use: I have a CHECK IN form that my workers can use to check in when they begin their job. The ‘Name’ field is linked record to my WORKERS Table, where Worker Name is the primary field/column. SO when they visit the form from their phone and fill out the ‘Name’ field on the form, they are essentially choosing their names off the list populated from the WORKERS table. That part is perfect. But the second field on the form asks for ‘location’ - I want that list populated with entries from the ‘location’ field/column in the JOBS table. But I cannot link to a specific column it seems, only the whole record, which means on mobile form, they only see the primary field/column info, which is job number. Is there a way to get it to show the ‘Location’ data instead? Besidies either… a) making ‘location’ the primary

I want to embed a view on my website. When I click on <> embed this view on your site, it just takes me to a webpage saying “Sorry, the page you were looking for was not found.” Is this feature broken? I used to be able to get to the page that shows the code to embed but it doesn’t work now. I have tried it on different bases as well. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey Everyone, I’m really new to using Airtable, most of my experience in productivity software has been with programs like Omnifocus where AppleScript was a possibility. What I’m looking to achieve (and I’m not sure if it is possible) is to find a way to generate emails to contacts using data from the record filling placeholders. For instance, this is how my Omnifocus task is setup now: “Congratulations on the purchase agreement for your property at <> Your agent <> <> and I are both super excited to get started on this process for you, feel free to reach out to me at any point for help or questions. Don’t worry, you’re not being passed off, in fact, I’m a licensed agent too, I just happen to work in the office more than I work in the field.” Is there a way to generate an action button for a record where you can email the associated contacts and have the fields from that record fill in the blanks? Hi I hope someone can help, I am new to Airtable and have a project for a customer and wondered the best way round creating the solution. My customer is wanting to create a list of blocks that when exported as a CSV will create a shopping list for the actual ordering of the material. For example, they could have a number of orders per week for different products and they then need to create a list of all the parts to purchase. My initial idea was to create drop-down lists of the options across all their products and then my customer as they get orders will select the part and the number required for each part, but there could be a number of sections to the list on each order line so could have multiple of the same items (let’s use different screw sizes as an example) My other thought was, as I am new I don’t know if this is possible, they create somewhere all the parts for each product and then when they get an order, they select the product agains

Wondering if anyone else has run into this issue. I have a Zebra DS4208 USB scanner. I intend to scan data one of my tables in my base. You can program the scanner to pass commands to the application you are scanning to. For example in Excel you can have it do a carriage return so when you scan into a cell it goes to the next cell and is ready for the next scan. I have used the scanner and can successfully scan data into a table in my base using my laptop. The problem I have is the command to create a new record is . In my research it appears that the Zebra Scanner will not pass the command. Just trying to avoid having to after every scan. Thanks, Brian

Hey folks! I’ve set up an export of records from Looker to Airtable. The view that I’m exporting may contain duplicates of previously exported rows, and I’d like to set up a view that contains only the latest exported entry per each key, where key is a single column. I’ve set up a CREATED_TIME() and RECORD_ID() columns and tried keeping the latest entry using links, but as far as I can see links need to be manually added which is completely unfeasible and kind of ruins the purpose of automation of the whole process. How can this be done? I’m open to having to write code, use existing blocks, or similar.

Greetings all, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction… We are using Airtable to plan our Instagram calendar and we love it. We’re missing one thing, an instagram feed preview block. Some way to show the 3 column Instagram feed within a device frame. We like to plan the visuals by date so this is essential. I thought I could try the Matrix, block, but it doesn’t seem to show attachments. Please help :slightly_smiling_face:

I am attempting to log my air table users into the Sanity.io using API token for authentication but I can’t find a setting to store the token safely in airtable. Do I need to build passport.js with third party authentication or am I missing something?

Hi! I would like to use the WORKDAY function to count the number of working days from an input date, but I would also like to include the input date as well. For example, if I count 6 working days from 19-Aug, the WORKDAY formula would count until 27-Aug. However, I want 19-Aug to be included in those 6-days – so by right, 6-working days from 19-Aug, including 19-Aug itself, should be 26-Aug. How do I include that in a formula? I’m building an attendance tracker that needs to track many many many individuals attendance to a moderate volume of events. This will be entered in by staff every day. I’m trying to find an easy way for those staff members to enter ~40 to 80 names, what they were at/not at and a reason they were present/not present. These names, events, and valid reasons are all pre existing and do not change. There will be a small staff of true collaborators that will be the ones actually looking at/organizing the data on other tables so if the input is messy that is fine, it just needs to be easy on the user side. I can’t think of a good way to do this, only various types of bad ways to do this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi! Currently to filter, the user must click at the top and do the usual process of picking an item from the dropdown. Instead of that, is there a way to make all filter fields visible? The end-user is wanting something similar to how you search on the lefthand side with Amazon. Thanks!

My ios app is completely unusable because every 5 seconds it pops up with an error message that just says “an error has occured” and closes what im doing. i use barcodes so i need to be able to scan them and i cant even get them scanned before this “error” occurs.

When using Sanity it’s really important all of our entires in our base have unique id’s not just on tables but in the base itself. Are the id’s for the entry unique to the table or the base?

Hello, I’ve created multiple automations to send emails when a record enters a view. I am testing this with my email to make sure that it works. When the record enters the view I can see that the automation has run and sent to the correct email, however, when I check my inbox there is nothing there. I’ve checked spam and all other mailboxes as well but there is no message. I’ve tried using different email addresses and keep having the same issue. This only happens to some of the automations, typically the second or third in a sequence of automated emails. What do I do??

Hi, I have a few tables on my base with records of inventory, each one with a price attached. I want to see how much I have in inventory total, so what I’ve been doing so far is using a summary block to easily see the totals from each table. Now I would like to combine the totals from several tables- does anyone have a suggestion on how to do that? I didn’t want to combine them all into one table because there’s very different data for each. Thanks very much! Alex

I’m trying to capture tags (all the tags) on a Webflow Page in the Showcase Section. Here is an example : https://webflow.com/website/clonecomp In this case, I would like to capture : cloneable / webflow / finsweet / nocode / meetups / community / competition / clonecomp I would like to be able to capture each tag. I can only select the first one (cloneable) for the moment using “.tag-holder .skill” with the “Text content by CSS selector”) and put it in my table if this is possible with the multi-select type. I don’t know if this is a good idea to use multi-select but I would like to give it a try in order to filter by tag after… Hope it makes sense to someone !

Hi all, this is my first time posting a question here. I’m using AT to communicate with my project managers of a construction company when their jobs are delivering and installing. I have two issues they are complaining about. They’ve save the shared link to their phone home screen and when they open it always takes them to the beginning of June when I first shared the link with them. How can I get it to go to today’s date or to this week? One project manager has made a request about the colors. Currently I have the delivery date one color and the install date another color. He wants the delivery date to be the color of the supplier (of 4 choices) I’m using and the Install date to be the color of the crew doing the work (of about 6 options). Is this possible within a single calendar view or would I have to give him two different calendar links - one for delivery and one for install? Thanks in advance!

Is it currently possible to limit the selection options based on the single select conditional field? Example: Single select is ABC or DEF, which makes the next multi-select field visible based on the ABC condition being met. Can I limit the multi-select options based on the ABC selection?
