I have the first column with a start date (Date Submitted). I am wanting to know how to code so that the next column will show how many days are passing since the start date (Date submitted). Then if the status (another column) comes back as closed it’ll then show closed.

I have been getting inconsistent results when inputting data in a linked record field. When I paste a comma separated list into the field, I randomly get one of the following results: Linking to each comma separated record Creation of a single new linked record with a long name of the entire list. I have performed the paste action several times in a row and gotten different results. Can anyone explain why? Has anyone else had this? Scenario 1 is the result I am expecting. Thank you!!

This may be the wrong category, but I need to join two tables for output of our data. Good Morning! I am having some difficulty with getting an automation to connect with Teams. My admin said he logged in and granted access, but when I try to log in, it doesn’t work. Do I have to be on his Airtable account? Or have him perform the Teams login on my account? Any similar experiences out there? Thank you!

Hi All, Struggling with a formula if anyone can help! I would like the fee to show in the field, if the date booked is a 2018 date. Then I’ll have another field pulling out all the 2019 fees etc. Then use a roll up to bring in the totals to another tab. When I do the formula below it pulls in all Fees no matter what the date is, and when I click back in to the formula it has removed the ,0 part. IF({Date Booked}>=(01/01/2018),{Date Booked}<=(31/12/2018),{Fee £},0) Any help much appreciated! Thanks Neil

We built an agile Gantt chart in AirTable. We’ve got tables with Sprints, Epics and Tasks. Is it possible to disallow the start of a sprint date that is before or after an epic? So the idea would be if an engineer schedules a Sprint to start after the Epic closes, they wouldn’t be allowed to.

Every time I open Airtable and go to my most-used table, the same Personal view always loads. I think it is the first grid I set up in the table and right now it’s my only Personal view. However, I would like to have a different view load as a default. Per the suggestins in a previous closed thread (Change Default View), I tried moving the desired view to the top of the list, and also to quit Airtable on the desired view and reopen, but it still goes to the Personal view. Is there a way to change this? I’d love to see an option in the view controls to set ia particulare view as the default for the table. Thanks Helen

Hi All, so this might be dead simple but its killing me. We are rolling out airtable to many people within the business, however some have access/are visably able to see the “Views sidebar”, and some it is a dropdown. i mean this: but some can only see this: so what my question is, how can i switch between the two. I have tried the SHIFT+ CONTROL+K, but this just opens the dropdown menu. surely there is a way to toggle between the two. thanks! Rob

My Company is a VOD service, We are creating a content programming grid and a calendar view for our episodes daily content: We want to address each episode to its specific date in an automated way to know the volume of the content in a daily bases. For example, I have Release Date, Pattern Release/Week “7”, and No of Episodes. there are some conditions excluding weekends, not applicable with all titles though. Hi everyone, I’m looking for a way to update records from multiple tabs into one single tab automatically. For background, I have a base with multiple tabs in accordance to my org’s departments. Every department has its own unique deadlines in accordance with a program/task. Is there a way to: Create a link, automation, or script to take all of the deadlines from the multiple tabs into one overview tab automatically? That is, every time a new deadline is created in the individual department tabs, it will automatically transfer that date into the overview tab. Create/update records from the individual department tabs and include them in the overview tab? I had a free consultation that ultimately expired so any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Is there a way, in a form, to collect the lat-long of the location where someone is (say, from their cell phone) when they upload a photo? Or at least is there a data field format for lat-long? I am a lifetime Excel user, so forgive me thinking like a spreadsheet and not a database, but…here is my problem: I manage an Oyster farm. I have a table that logs the oysters that are harvested. I have another table for the demand for the oysters. I want to net the two against each other and see whether I have enough. As my table of Harvested oysters is set up so each day the team either enters the number of oysters they harvested (a positive number) or the number of oysters they delivered (a negative number). Thus, choosing “sum” at the top/bottom of each column will show me exactly how many oysters I have (summing all the postive/negative numbers to date). And as my table of Demand for oysters shows the number of oysters requested by each client on each date, I can group those by day/week/month, and look again to the “sum” of the column to see how many oysters are needed. I’m trying to keep my team’s resources all in the same place, including some very simple fill-in-the-blank text boilerplates. The text contains and tags for styling already because one of the platforms it will end up in, for some reason, interprets strings of more than one line-break character as something it needs to preserve, so it automatically adds a   to “preserve my intent”. I’ve noticed that I can copy text into an airtable long-text field (with or without Markdown turned on) that’s formatted like this: Some random text More random text And some more but when I copy it back out to plain text it looks like the invisible \r\n at the end of the line has been turned into \r\n\r\n like this Some random text More random text And some more Is there a setting to fix this, or will I need to remove the extra line breaks from everything that comes out of an airtabl

Hi All, I am attempting to embed the scripting block into stacker, but am not having any luck. the block keeps showing up as greyed out. (Image below) Any idea on how to fix this? P.S. i’m not having this issue with any of Airtable’s built-in blocks. Not sure this is an Airtable limitation because they do give you the option to embed the scripting block. Thanks

Hello everyone. I have built a robust task management system in airtable. I run my own business and i wanted to track the time it takes me at various tasks so that when I am ready to hire out/hire intern etc I have an idea of what i’m spending the most time on. I have started using the time tracker block to accomplish this, but i’d love to be able to add BUTTON right next to the task in order to accomplish this. I don’t have scripting experience but I was curious if this was possible? The fact that I cant just be working down my task list and say “start time tracker” drives me crazy and I was hoping to just integrate. Thanks!
