Hi everyone,I am using Airtable to manage our Recruitment process, and I need some advice on how to handle user permissions and data privacy.I have two specific challenges I'm trying to solve: Field-Level Security: I have a "Salary" column in my base that is highly confidential. I want to ensure that certain team members cannot see this specific field. Historical Data Restriction: When a new staff member joins the team, I want them to only be able to view records created from their start date onwards. I need to find a way to hide all "historical" records that were created before they joined the base. What is the best way to achieve this?Many thanks.

I’m tentatively looking for a freelancer to help another department in my business get their Airtable database off the ground - Creative team to manage projects.This is a fairly simple, and short, job that I’d do myself but simply lack the time, and the department has no capacity themselves to be trained up to do the work themselves, so this is very much a capacity issue. Interest?

Hi, I used to be able to download CSV files, but without changing anything, I can’t do it anymore.When I select “Download CSV”, I don’t have the option to name the CSV and that made me choose the file where to save it.I tried with different browsers, private windows, different laptops, cleaning the cache and cookies. I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Hello community,In our company we use Airtable in the Business version. This includes about 100 technicians who also have access.Since I now also use Airtable privately for our club, I’ve been thinking a bit about accounts and costs. This led me to the following thought:If I, as the workspace owner, have a Business plan, do all others who only fill out forms and enter data only need a Teams plan?Am I understanding this correctly? Or do all accounts need to be on the same plan level in order to work within the same workspace?

Only 57 out of 98 columns are loaded through the query HERE in Power BI. Does anyone know how can this be fixed?

I have a form where respondents need to be able to select a topic and then see the draft definition of that topic. The problem is that the definitions are long and I cannot figure out how to make the form show the entire definition. I’ve included screen caps below.Is there a way to resize the field space that is offered in a form so that the longer text is visible?

My team recently inherited responsibly for the admin of an 850 seat Airtable enterprise license.We’re not an IT team; we’re just enthusiastic end users of Airtable, so we’re new to being admins.My question: is it possible to determine who gave out an editor license?When I go into the admin panel and hover over someone who was just upgraded, I get messages like:“[user name] was Editor on base [base name] on [date]” “[user name] was Creator on base [base name] on [date]” “[user name] made edits to workspace [workspace name] on [date]Is this telling me their last activity in Airtable?Is there a way to figure out who gave out the editor license they’re using?Thanks

I am using Airtable to track disciplinary data for a school. We have two tables, one to track Pink Slips, and a second to track historical Disciplinary Cases. The first table “Pink Slips”, is where new pink slips are entered, using a primary field of a sequential ID assigned by Airtable for each new pink slip. One of the fields in this table is “Student ID”. The second table, “Cases” contains a historical record of all disciplinary cases (some resulting from pink slips), akin to a court case, with all data related to the resulting actions, dates, etc… The primary field in this table is “CaseID”. All of the data in the “Cases” table is imported from a school database, and also contains a “StudentID” field. For reasons that i would rather not get into, the two tables cannot be merged into one. Why can't I edit the title of some fields in a form? I can edit some of the field titles and not others.

Hi all! I am wondering how one might create fully dynamic filtering of linked records in a single field in a conditional form in Softr.My boss had designed a database for a client with separate fields for different linked records for different user attributes. For example, we had a user attributes table that spanned age range, income, demographics, etc. To make each option in these categories show up only for specific fields, he disaggregated them into their own fields on a user, allowing an individual to use Softr and make selections exclusive to the attribute type. For example, salary ranges would only show up in the income field, racial information on demographics, etc.Now, we want to move all the attributes into one field and filter by the attribute type, so have all the options in one field and have it look into the linked record to filter by category. 30-40k (category: income level) next to Asian American (category: demographics) next to Works in service category

I’ve built a database of grants and funding opportunities, and a survey that asks users the questions to determine their eligibility for the various grants. I have a table that lists the grants and how the various questions have to be answered to determine eligibility. I’d like to create a table that populates which grants a survey respondent is eligible for when a survey response is submitted. How would I go about doing that? My first thought is that it would be a formula, ie if Survey Q1=X, Survey Q2= Y and Survey Q3 = Z, Awesome Grant = Eligible, Awesome Grant = Not Eligible. But Airtable doesn’t allow formulas across tables. Then I thought an automation, or a junction table, but neither of these seem to be the answer when I dig deeper. So, rather than struggle for another couple of days, help?

I’m trying to create a form with múltiple tables, I have a table “Responses” that contains fields directly linked to the form, and i have a table “Sectors”, representing the sector that corresponds to that specific response (I have multiple other tables, but it’s not particularly relevant for this question”)When I want to manually add a Sector to a Response, it shows all responses and fields linked to this Sector (image for reference). I would like to know if its posible to just have the name showing, just like if it was a multiple selection field.Disclaimer: I cant use third party options like fillout. Currently:What i want:  

When I use the search extension in Airtable, it works well for finding a record. However, when I click on a record, it shows me the fields, but I would like to be able to edit them. I have a view that is very well organized, and I was hoping to see the record displayed according to that field arrangement, but unfortunately, I haven't found a way to do this.My goal is to quickly search for a record and, upon clicking it, display the specific information I need. So far, I haven't been able to organize the displayed information in the way I want.

I’m looking for help with integrations: My nonprofit uses Airtable heavily to track lists of people and their contact information. We also use MailChimp to send out updates to our partners, newsletter subscribers, etc. using that contact information. My question is this: Is there a simple way to establish a “Two-Way Sync” between Airtable and MailChimp so that they will always contain the same data, regardless of changes made on either side? I need a true “sync” that will: Update MailChimp with any changes entered in Airtable (add, remove, edit), and Update Airtable with any changes entered in MailChimp (subscribe, remove, edit). I’d rather pay a small fee per month for an established app to do this than build it in Zapier/Make, but either way is fine if it works. TIA, M p.s. Team, subscribed to Airtable a month back. Created a workspace called “Rohit”, created two bases - “Sales Pipeline” and “Open item tracker”. Now Sales Pipeline base is completely gone. Can’t find anything. Was working on other things like importing data, building AI etc for a large excel database i have. But pls advise how can i retrieve my base “Sales Pipeline”

Was adding leads to a dbase and chugging along. Next thing I know, AirTable stops accepting any inputs. Checked my wifi, logged out and back in. Anyone have a similar issue? Any suggestions, tips or hints would be welcomed.

Recently I have noticed that the more compact menu that is displayed when a record is clicked in calendar view seems to have reduced functionality. Specifically, I can no longer edit fields from that menu and ‘multiple select’ fields seem to not allow for options being chosen from that menu anymore. However, when you click to expand that record view, everything works as its supposed to. The photo I have attached points out what I am referring to.   I have tried this with multiple records, newly created records, different fields, and I have already closed and reopened Airtable. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!

Is there a way to prevent people from making edits, or self-upgrading their account from a Viewer to an Editor? I am on Enterprise Scale and constantly have to check to make sure people arent self-upgrading to Editor and thus taking away seats, or using seats we do not have available.One solution I found was to make everyone only an editor, but then they cant configure or modify the base which means I, or my team, would have to configure their base for them which we cannot support. Has anyone here found a solution for this? Seems kind of silly that there isnt a setting within the Admin panel to prevent this from happening.

Many enterprise security policies require applications to timeout after a period of inactivity. Airtable currently doesn’t provide this functionaly; instead it offers a fixed web session length.Enabling this means Airtable users get logged out in the middle of their work (they could be presenting, in the middle of updating a formula, or deep in analysis). If you’re using the Airtable app and have multiple windows open, all of your Airtable windows close out when you log in again.Please update this feature to align to other SaaS products - thanks!

We have recently experienced some issues with read-only share links access.  It appears a user must have an account in Airtable to access a read-only share link.  Is this the case?
