Disappearing screen toggle

I got back from vacation and opened my airtable mac desktop app and it looks really different. I’m having an issue with the bottom of my screen. I have lost the left to right toggle bar so I cannot move between columns in a view. The bottom of the entire screen looks cut off. I have tried everything - deleting and reuploading the app, restarting my computer (x 2), zoom in, zoom out, full screen… nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to fix this issue as I am currently unable to work on the bases due to this? Also anyone know how I can get the older version back? Is that possible? When I go to a base, I see I know have “omni” as an AI helper and when I go to the my account it says my appearance is “beta”.  I really need help figuring this out. Thanks, Katie

Conditional Form Fields

How can I accomplish the following: In a form I want to dynamically alter the choices available in Field B when a certain option is chosen in Field A. E.G Field A could be a single select list of countries Field B could be a single select list of states (All states in all countries) When a specific country is selected in field A, a corresponding subset of options is available to select in field B.

Restricting Times Where Form Can Be Completed

Hi - I am new to Airtable and am looking to create a form that can only be completed by personnel during business hours ie: 9-5pm on Weekdays. Is there a way to automate these date parameters within Airtable? Thanks!

How to Reset 429 Error | Too Many Requests

I'm running a handful of automations with Zapier and am now getting a 429 error for too many requests.I've turn off EVERY automation related to AirTable. Nothing has run for 4 days. But I'm still getting 429 errors, despite AirTable docs saying to wait 30 seconds. Any way to reset this? Or anywhere in AirTable to see a log of API requests so I can figure out what might still be hitting as an API request?

Can't access my bases or help pages (An error has occurred, refresh the page, and 504 errors)

I can’t access my bases. When i try, I get “An error has occurred, Refresh the page” and when I click on the provided “contact us” link, a very general page opens without contact options. Now that page is not accessible and results in a 504 error. The “error has occurred” message is accompanied by an error code of  pgluwBBDyL62GtnawThere aren’t any other ways to check status of Airtable, and this is directly affecting my businesses day to day operations. What can I do?Thanks.

Default time in a date field

I’m using airtable as a project management tool amongst other things in my business. It’d be really great to have the time in a date field default to 5:00PM (EOD) for every date entered instead of the current default which is the current time. Is there a way to do this other than using a formula as I’d really like to use the new timeline feature which doesn’t seem to support formulas. Thanks for the help!

Delete all records from Airtable at once

I have a requirement to delete all records from my Airtable base. Currently the documentation says I can delete only upto 10 records from a single request. Is it possible to delete all records at a time (Instead of sending multiple URL’s with 10 records id’s each)?

HiCan I get some advice on a simple Swimlane Application or tool for a beginner, I have been using sheets of paper up to now, but need something to help with a workflow that is a little bit more complicated with more stake holders.I have created a list of tasks in a google sheet, assigned stake holders, and grouped tasks for an Aircraft Maintenance Inspection input to a Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO), Pre Maintenance Input tasks, Arrival tasks, During Maintenance Tasks, Departure Tasks and Post Maintenance Tasks, I now need something to sort them out into swim lanes.

Error 422 when using Weweb and Airtable

Hi,I have a simple airtable-database ad datasource for my Weweb-project.Everthing worked fine until a few days ago, I get a 422-error in Weweb "insufficient permissions" for only one of my records.The Weweb-community replies this error is generated by Airtable. How do I get TODAY() to return today’s date in my time zone?

As I typed this, it was 11/17 2:45 pm in my time zone (PST = GMT - 8). What I want is to get a field that return what today’s date is in my time zone. I have tried the following fields: TODAY ( ) – GMT contains the formula TODAY () with “Use the same time zone (GMT) for all collaborators” toggled on in the formatting tab TODAY ( ) – not GMT contains the formula TODAY () with “Use the same time zone (GMT) for all collaborators” toggled off in the formatting tab TODAY ( ) using SET_TIMEZONE contains the formula DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_TIMEZONE(TODAY(),‘America/Los_Angeles’),‘MM/DD/YYYY’) (with no option to set formatting available): What I get is the following (again, when it is 11/17 2:45 pm in my time zone (PST = GMT - 8)): TODAY ( ) – GMT: 11/17/2020 12:00am TODAY ( ) – not GMT: 11/16/2020 4:00pm TODAY ( ) using SET_TIMEZONE 11/16/2020 Note that when it was 12:00 am on 11/17 GMT time, it was indeed 4:00 pm 11/16 in my time zone (PST). Showing more information with link fields on a form

I’m not sure exactly what group to put this in but I am trying to build out a form that allows you to “pick a speaker” from a list to effectively vote for them. I was wondering if there was any way to show more information when trying to pick a record in a form, ideally the cover photo would be best but anything would make it easier. Changed primary field in source not changing in synced table

I changed the primary field in a source table. I also want that to be the primary field in an existing synced table, but the primary field doesn’t change.If I go to “Update sync configuration” and then “Edit synced fields”, then select “Specific fields in the source...” it does not give an option to change the primary field, like you can when first creating the sync.I’m syncing a view from the source table, so I could create an identical, duplicate view there and then change my sync to point to the new view, but I worry about how that will impact all the lookups I have configured. Will I need to redo them all, even though the fields will actually be the same? So I’m hoping there’s a way for the synced table to use the new primary field from the source.

Automatic Character Limit for Forms

Hiya! New user here, so forgive me if I’m being silly! I’d like to limit character input into forms to a certain length (let’s just say 32 characters for argument’s sake). The proposed form is for clients who want to submit product descriptions to an app (hence the need for character limits). Now I could go through and check each one individually, but it’d be great if I could just set a limit warning instead. I read this previous post: https://community.airtable.com/t/limit-characters-in-long-text-field/7353 but it still doesn’t solve the client-facing form issue. One thought I had was another app integration? I haven’t checked if this is possible yet, although I suspect I’ll fall into the same character limit problems. Has anyone got a suggestion or a neat way to make this happen? I’d be much obliged! If you don’t think it’s possible, please leave a comment saying so - it’d be great to know either way!

form fields with conditions

I'm creating a form and need to create some conditions to separate our large inventory into categories.  When I create the form view from the data table screen, and run a test the dropdown looks like the first snip below and appears to enter the data sheet with all of the correct information.  When I add a new field and link to record, choose the same table, set up the conditional formatting and run the test, the dropdown looks different (second snip) and all of the information goes into the data table except for the name.  As far as I can tell they are set up exactly the same way, the only difference is the Product ID field is automatically entered when I create the form view.   Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or how I can properly duplicate the product ID field?

Generating *Individual* PDF reports out of the Page Designer

So I have a table called Investors. Say there are 300 records here. And I have a table called Companies. Say there are 100 records here. And I have a tabled called Individual Investments. It’s the intersection of Investors and Companies. An investor can invest in any deal they choose and invest any amount. So I might have, say, 2,000 records here (but obviously I wouldn’t have more than 30,000 — which would be if every one of the 300 Investors invested in every one of the 100 companies). In the Individual Investments table I list the Investor, the Company in question, and the amount they invested. We’d like to send a report to each investor that lists all their investments and how much they invested. I once figured out how to put this together in the Page Design block and I’m sure I can muddle my way there again (or come here for help) but I also want to email out this report as a PDF. And not just one big report showing all 10 investors what all 10 invested in, but a customi

Limit Characters in Long Text Field

Hello! First time user of Airtable, so bear with me:grinning: I have a Long text field that I am trying to limit the number of characters entered into it. From reading the the posts, it looks like that is not possible, correct? In another members post they suggested using LEN and COUNT, but I’m not sure how to implement it. From what I’ve figured out so far is that I would need to create another field (a formula field) to count the number of characters (including spaces) from another field in the same record. So, let’s say my long text field was named Product Description. What would be the formula entered (in the new formula field) to do a count of characters? Also, would the character count show in the new field and change as I’m typing in the product description field? Or if there’s another way… Thanks! Sue

Batch printing via page designer

Hi there,I wonder whether there’s a way to bulk print selected records with a page designer template. Currently there’s only a way to print either current record or records of a specific view. The problem: When the view contains more than 30 records it ends up in a browser freeze. So I wonder what possibilities does the community see to solve that. Thanks for your help,Florian
