Depsite @Justin_Barrett’s help last time, I still cannot figure out simple regex patterns. This time, I’m combining in a roll-up year and value and am trying to extract the value based on a date. IF( AND(Date, Values), REGEX_EXTRACT( Values, "(?:" & DATETIME_FORMAT(Date,"YYYY") & " )([^,])")) For example Values: 2023 530,2022 480, Date: 2022 Result: 480 Preferably each string would be Year:Value,Year:Value… but I was afraid the double dot may me some reserved character and dropped it.

Hello! I was wondering is there a way to do what this screenshot shows with a formula? I want to use the output of that formula to update an automation to change a single select field to show when the project is due. We can’t use the color feature anymore because we are trying to switch over to interfaces and unless I completely missed it, there isn’t a way to have the color feature on a record review interface. Any help would be great!

Hello, For my plant tracker I’ve been using a formula to give me an estimated date of transplanting. This has been working fine. Now I want to add a check-box, so that when I plant something in-ground and i check this, the Estimated date of transplanting box will return an N/A vallue. I got all of this to work but I have a problem with how to date is formatted. As you can see the last column has a different date format. This is the code: IF({In-ground} = 1, “N/A”, IF({Germination Date}, DATEADD({Germination Date},{Estimated days to Transplanting}+0,‘days’),IF({Estimated germination date}, DATEADD({Estimated germination date},{Estimated days to Transplanting}+0,‘days’)))) I tried to add a BLANK() after the DATEADD so I can change it in the formatting tab but it doesn’t work. I think I have to add a DATETIME_FORMAT but i’m not sure where to add it in this formula. Thanks for your help!

I have a base that has a table for tags, a table with a list of clients, and a table with images in the images table I have images, a lookup field for the tags from the tags table, and then a lookup field for client client A’s red tagged images are image 1 and image 4 client B’s red tagged images are images 2 and 3 in the client tag sets base, I specify which tags belong to each client (tags can overlap) client A: red, green client B: yellow, orange, red both client A and B have images tagged ‘red’ in the tags table, it shows each of the tags, the images containing each tag and the client tag sets I’m having trouble figuring out how to create a grid view within the tags table that will show the images tagged ‘red’ but only if their client is client A. and then another grid view that shows images tagged ‘red’ but only if their client is client B.

I’m working on managing a fleet of vehicles and im trying to automate things that happen when my “Fuel Log” table is updated. Currently new records are entered via a form by my drivers, I would then like to have the Mileage and Engine Hours that were entered into the new record from that form update on a separate table that i store general information for each of my vehicles on. Currently the tables are “Fuel Log” and “Assets” “Fuel Log” houses a list of entries updated daily by drivers when recording their post trip information, it is ever expanding and I GROUP it by date. “Assets” houses a static list of the vehicles we use, and is only there to contain general information about each vehicle, VIN, Mileage, make, model etc. There are never any new records in this table, only updates to specific records in this table. I am building an archive of the activities of my amateur theatre company. The main table is productions - for each production I have a number of fields that relate to people - Author(s)/Director(s)/Cast/Crew. These are linked to tables so that I can see all directors and what they have directed, all authors and what they have written etc. Now, in this group, someone might write one production, direct a different one, act in another and be backstage crew in another. I would love to be able to have a People table where it shows that Joe Bloggs as an actor in XXX, crew in YYY - so you get an overview of everything Joe has done across all productions. Training Master List This table is the Master List of attendees for all classes throughout the year. Includes fields like Client Name, ClientID, Training Completed Date, and Linked Record to Qualified Clients Table 2. I’ve been using airtable for a couple of years on my own and have developed some cool and useful interfaces that I use. It turns out a bunch of others would love to have access to the dashboards I’ve built. I understand I can’t share the interfaces without making those viewers paid collaborators, which is ridiculous for some managers who want to view a page once per month. So what are my options? Hi there, Sorry to bother you with this question, but since this morning the synchronization between Airtable and Google Calendar does not work anymore. Although I created new records, they no longer appear in the google calendar where I integrated the airtable calendar via its url. Does anyone else encounter this problem? Strange thing too, I work with thunderbird for my different email accounts and in the calendar tool it no longer recognizes the url of my airtable calendar. Thanks for your help.

Hey all, I am trying to update the Owner (type: User) of a record, when a status field is updated. However, I keep getting the error: Field “Owner” cannot accept the provided value: Could not find matching collaborator for string The automation is supposed to copy the value of the owner from a lookup field which basically holds the owner from a linked table. Please help.

Hi - I’m brand new to Airtable and am building a capacity tracker/task tracker for my team. In my capacity tracker table, individual team members are assigned an “at capacity” or “available” marker based on a formula that is triggered by the number of tasks they are linked to in the task tracker table. When a task is marked complete in my task tracker table, I want it to disappear from the column/rows it is linked to in the capacity table, so a team member’s capacity level is always accurate. I hope that makes sense. Is it possible to do this with an automation? I’ve been perusing the forums but can’t find anything that is super clear. Thanks!

I’m certain this is a lack of understanding of JS or synchronous/asynchronous operations on my part, but: if I want to call Airtable.base.create through the Node.js module and actually get the created records (or error) returned to be used elsewhere, how would I do that? Hey Community ! I’ve been searching here and there, and i don’t see the way to update multiple fields at the same time, in the same updateRecordAsync. Is it even possible ? Because doing one field update at a time is very slow. Any help or workaround appreciated :cowboy_hat_face:

Hello all, I have a question regarding the changes to the attachment url’s. I have images stored on Airtable that I fetch using the API and display them on my site. I am not using the any permanent link. Whenever a user accesses the site, it requests the data and gets the image url and displays it. Will the changes affect this use case? For example, I know that cloudfare may cache the temporary url and then feed it to the public, but does that mean that some users will get a blank image instead of the new url? Thanks in advance

Hi… I am using Airtable as my backend for an app I am building in Appgyver. I am trying to experiment with Airtable’s query parameters and I just can’t seem to get some things to work. Currently, I am just trying to retrieve a list of records, but only certain fields for those records. The API Documentation for Airtable seems straightforward but I keep getting the same error: I received a response from a helpful Appgyver user who pointed out that “The HTTP 422 Unprocessable Entity Code indicates that the server has understood the type of query content and that the request syntax is correct but that the server has not been able to carry out the requested instructions. You have to formulate your request differently to access your data.” However, he stopped short of explaining exactly what this means. Any takers here able to help? Thank you!

I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out how I can make this work. I have an Items table. I have a Locations table. I have a Location Records table that joins the two. An Item has many Location Records, and belongs to a Location through its most recent Location Record, and it has a history of all its past Locations through the sequence of all its Location Records. In the Items table, I can Rollup Location Records–>{Date}–>MAX(values) to pull the {Date} out of the most recent Location Record. But how can I pull the {Location} out of the most recent Location Record, so that I can display an Item’s {Current Location}? I can Rollup Location Records–>{Location}–>ARRAYJOIN(values). I was hoping the {Location} value from the most recently added Location Record would be the first in the array – then I could use: LEFT( {Location Rollup}, SEARCH( ",", {Location Rollup} ) -1 ) to parse out the first value from the array.
