Hi everyone, I’m trying to build rollup fields using the enterprise api endpoint listed here. But I keep getting 422 errors, even when I try to create basic fields such as auto numbers. I am new to Airtable and having a hard time finding solutions in other threads, so thank you in advance for any help you can provide! I have two tables: one is “Courses” and one is “Workshop Planning.” I have an automation that creates a new record in Workshop Planning every time a record is added to Courses. I fill the Workshop Planning records with tasks to be completed for each course. The Workshop Planning table is grouped by Course name in order to keep all relevant tasks together. What I would like to do is show the percent of tasks completed in the Workshop Planning table, in the Courses table. So each Course record would have a “% Completed” column that would automatically calculate as tasks are marked Complete in the Workshop Planning record. Is there a way to do this? It would be very helpful for managing our team workflow. Thanks!

Hey, I have a table where I have a formula column that automatically generates an Airtable form link that prefills a few data such as name and email before sending it. What I noticed is after someone fills out the form and submits it, a new row is created rather than Updating/appending the row I used to create the formula, does anyone know how to resolve this?

I’m having an issue when I try and tag an individual with their Slack ID in an automation I’m making. When I test the Slack message, it’s sending back the Slack ID number rather than their Slack name. I’ve attached a few screenshots of what is happening in both the testing area and in Slack itself. It’s obviously getting the information, but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong that I can’t get it to list the person’s slack handle. Thanks for any help!

Hi, in my workplace we have 2 different bases. One of them is ‘duties’ and another one is ‘records’. We want to create record to the duties base if some conditions are met in records base. How can I achieve that I can not share pics because they are confidentials. Thank you

Hi, I’m trying to create an interface that shows only the status “To send” and not other status. As you can see in “Status 2( from Report)” there is also the status “Done”, I would like to filter the data. I tried to filter the interface in this way: But it didn’t solve my problem. This is my dataset: is someone know why “Done” is still there? and how can I solve this issue? Thank you very much!

I have three tables in one base. In each table, there is a Name field and a checkbox field named “Flag”. How do I create one “grid” (or interface or anything else) that lists only the record names from all three tables that have the Flag checkbox checked?

Perhaps I’m missing something, but for whatever reason I cannot get a list of bases available to me using the latest OAuth API integration. When creating a formula field with an IF statement where I want to check the value being returned before deciding to use that value or display something else I run into an issue where it seems terribly inefficient to have to basically have to call all the functions twice. IF({INSERT CONDITION HERE WITH A LOT OF FUNTIONS} > 0, {INSERT CONDITION HERE WITH A LOT OF FUNTIONS}, “NO”) Is there any way to avoid having to basically calculate a value for something twice when using it in an If statement? I’d hate to have to make a field just to hold calculated values that are only useful so that the IF statement doesn’t need to calculate the same thing twice. Our fields are already a bit bloated as it stands. Any creative solutions?

I am getting in inexplicable result from a RIGHT(SEARCH()) formula. My .csv import includes the field [Payroll Name} formatted as LastName, FirstName. I found a name reversal formula on this thread: RIGHT({Payroll Name}, SEARCH(‘,’, {Payroll Name})-2)&’ ‘&LEFT({Payroll Name}, SEARCH(’,', {Payroll Name})-1) The formula returns the last name correctly, but the first name returns a maddening variety of results. Some first names are correct, others include the comma and space from {Payroll Name}, some include the last letter of the last name, or remove the first, second, or third letter of the first name as shown below (The FirstName and LastName fields are the respective portions of the {Name} formula, shown for clarity). I have tried a variety of values for “-1” and “-2” (among other things), with unsatisfactory results. Of course I can correct the first name problem in Excel before importing, but I am super curious about how to fix it in Airtable. What is going on here? How d

Hi everyone! After checking several topics I still couldn’t find something to solv the problem I’m facing, so here I am. We have a table called Tasks and the following fields are important for this: Due Date (Date field) Completed (Checkbox) Completed within due date (formula) We added a Last modified time field to look to Completed field, so it returns the date that collaborator finished the task. To compare the date that Completed was checked with the due date, I tried the following: IF({Due Date} = {Last modified time},“1”, IF({Due Date} > {Last modified time},“1”, IF({Due Date} < {Last modified time},“0”))) The problem is even if Due Date and Last time modified has the same date, the formula field is returning 0 and my guess is beacause of the time. Due date was not created with time - because it doesn’t metter for us - but if we allow time, it shows “11/16/2022 00:00”. So Last time modified will always be after due date since we will always finish our task after 00:00. And

Hello, This topic has been discussed many times among all the Airtable experts but it has remained similar since it was started. Airtable provides many features in UI or using Interfaces but when you talk about making integration with other tools or using some programming language it still lacks features and also limits in accessing data via API. We can understand that Airtable want to control everything(every request) and they need to make sure that security is not broken by using API and developer options. But I think they give at least some built-in options so developers can use it. For example: If I’ve to access more than 10k records in my custom build CRM/Software, I’ve to make 100 requests with their specific rate limit to fetch that data. If I need to filter some data directly it’s still really slow. I can able to access the base schema or update any basic fields( Manage select field via API is super useful). There are lots of things.

Hi Everyone, I duplicated a base which I’ve done many times, but this time entries from the associated form did not start at 1. Is there anyway to edit the existing entry IDs if the form is still open/accepting submissions? Essentially I want to edit the current entry IDs so that they go from 1 and increase in numerical ,order, then have the future entries follow that order. Thank you.

Hi! I have two tables with data that’s pulled from another site through Zapier. Table 1 shows a list of registrants for an online class (User ID, Name, Email, Course Name fields), and Table 2 shows a list of users who completed a class (User ID, Name, Email, Course Name, Completion Status fields). I’m trying to set up an automation that would add link records in the two tables, so that I can see which people who registered for a course actually completed it (by adding a Lookup field in Table 1 that would pull in the “Completion Status” field from Table 2). Creating a manual link each time someone completes a course is possible but would take up a lot of time. The problem is that each person might register for and complete multiple courses and would have multiple records in each table. So an automation that links records just through the Name or User ID fields wouldn’t necessarily work. Is it possible to set up an automation that would link records only if the User ID and Course Names b

Hello everyone—when I filter a column in a base, Airtable adds a green background for all cells in the column. Is it possible to disable this coloring? (likewise for grouping and sorting, only with the colors purple and orange) I can appreciate what the designers were trying to accomplish (clues in the user that automatic processing will occur on that column), but the visual disruption it creates in my case is not worth the indication (I would argue it’s better to just color or otherwise format the header row only if that is the aim).

Hi Airtable Community, I’m having issues embedding a view into Notion. When I embed an airtable view into Notion like before (I have a whole website full of embeds that worked in the past and still do) it doesn’t work anymore and now just shows the link: I’ve seen a similar query posted 15 days ago but it just today got closed. This is a newbie question. I have a sequence of numbers in my inventory and these are not auto generated, so I am either working with Number or Formula here. I am trying to add zeros to a sequence so that all numbers have 6 digits. Currently, my numbers start at 0 and go up to 4 digits, I think I am looking for an If / Then LEN formula, but I can’t figure out the syntax to make it work. For example, I need 5 to read as 000005, and I need 1401 to read 001401. etc. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I have a table design query in 2 parts. Firstly, I’d like to know your opinions about creating a ‘people’ table in a base - is it best if it is one table or many? For example, I have people that are: ‘students’ taking classes, ‘payees’ that might pay for those students’ classes (some students pay for their own). ‘company contacts’ who normally don’t take classes or pay (but work for companies that do pay) If I create 3 separate tables, all these 3 groups of people will require similar fields in each of those tables and a payee could also be a student themselves… also a company contact might also be a student so I think that one table would probably be better with each person marked with a different (or multiple) ‘person type category’ (in the case of students who are also payees for example). Hello Right now Im on airtable pro trial plan and Im trying to use automation script but it tells me that its not available for my current billing plan. I was wondering whats the point of pro trial if I cant access its features? Then I tried to upgrade my plan to plus and Im only able to select yearly plan for billing and I cant choose monthly.
