Perhaps this is an introduction/need for pivot tables. I have a form collecting multiple submissions per brewery. I'm trying to create a menu that could draw from a table that shows the summary of those 4 submissions per brewery.If I create pivot table, which I'm not experienced with, it seems to count each column as an extension, so I would need to upgrade to accomplish this. (Which I don't want to do, if I'm not certain it's going to work.)I'm relatively familiar with Airtable, but not in advanced manipulation. I have it setup with breweries as the primary records, because they're using a form to submit multiple beers per entry. However, now I want the beers to be the identifying record, while still maintaining their brewery info (contact, distributor, etc.).Any help will be appreciated and you will be supporting craft beer in the process!Thanks in advance.Cheers.

Hello there community,I have an issue I'm not finding an answer to in this wonderfully useful forum. Perhaps I'm just not searching correctly.I'm using a system of entering Purchase Orders where we have an internal SKU and a supplier SKU. These are one to many. There can be many supplier SKUs for a singular internal SKU. I'm in construction, so for example, the internal SKU is a 16ft 2x4: DL-SPR-#2-2x4-16. An example of a supplier SKU is 20416S.When I'm receiving invoices, I'm entering the supplier SKU which allows my system to link to an existing internal SKU so that Airtable knows everything about that product (width, thickness, length, weight, etc, grade). However the other way around - if I want to generate a purchase order with the supplier's SKU on there (so they know exactly what I'm asking for, no confusion...) I'm having a hard time conceiving how I can look up the supplier SKU when the user might not necessarily know what that SKU is. So, the user might want to, for example,

I've done a few things in Airtable, but have lots to learn still. I'm creating a database with the contacts across all my organization. We would like to keep track of individuals who work in several organizations, so we have one field for ORG 1 and another for ORG 2. Hi, I’m trying to set up a form for our baseball league to collect scores from games so we can then do additional data manipulation to calculate win/loss records, calculate total runs for and against etc. The first single select field that I’ve created is to capture the team’s age group. Based on that choice I then want to have a drop down that only shows the teams that are in that particular age group. We’re tracking information on 100+ teams, and I’d like to do this in a single form so we can give our volunteers a one place to go to do their entry regardless of the age of the team. I’m trying to figure out how to populate the second single select to remove the possibility of our volunteers entering a name manually and spelling it differently than we’re expecting or calling the team something different than how we have them in our records. (Think Cards instead of Cardinals)? As an example we could have: 9YO: Cardinals, Rockies, Giants, Mets, Dodgers 10YO: Cubs, White Sox, Giants, Mets

Hi everyone. I’m looking to create a IF statement where if date B exists, then it will calculate the working days between from date A to date B. However if date B does not exists then it will calculate how many days it’s been from date a based on the real time current date. The if statements that I have been trying to create does not work with multiple formulas embedded.

Hi there -I have a base that we use to coordinate our deliveries and our pickups for our drivers. I have a view that is built for our dispatch team to "route" our delivery schedule for the next day that is filtered by all deliveries and pickups that need to made tomorrow.I have a separate view that is for our drivers to show all deliveries and pickups that need to be made Today, so that when they clock-in in the morning, they can see their route and begin going through their schedule. I need the Delivery view to adopt the routing order that was made in the routing view day-prior.How do I make that happen?

I have an Automation set up to append items to an existing Rich Text Field, in the format of a checkbox list. The append Automation works well, except it always leaves a line break above the appended item, making a blank line in my list. The Rich Text Field looks like this (after the append Automation is run): Existing Item Existing Item Newly-appended item Does anyone know why this is happening, or how to avoid it? Thank you!

Hello guys, is there a way to archive this scenario with Airtable. Let’s say I have a field with multiple ids/skus (kind of an array) and a table with ids/sku and name column. I need to somehow lookup the name of multiple ids in a field and display them like the picture above.

Hi I have a question - Im a neewbie so excuse my ignorance. My primary field consists of 300 sporting fixtures throughout the year which take place at 26 different venues, so the venue is repeated throughout the year meaning the ‘value’ in the primary field is not unique.(one venue could have 20 fixtures) How do I deal with this as I’m worried this will cause a problem down the line.(from my research it states primary cells should be unique) I could merge the date and venue fields to the primary field creating a unique record for each cell? However, I suspect there is a better structure? I have attached a screenshot to illustrate my query. thanks

Hi Everyone First post, relatively new to Airtable but getting in deep! I’m hoping you all can help and that Airtable is the right solution! I work for a company that makes artworks for artists and I’m hoping that Airtable can help organise what we do as it can get quite complex. What I’m looking for help on is the scheduling of multiple detailed projects. There are all these lovely views - Gantt, Timeline, Calendar - but it seems like you can only view one table in such a view. But what if you need to coordinate multiple projects together? Is that possible in Airtable? If it helps, the basic workflow is: set out a project timeline ie. durations > apply that to a timeframe ie. dates > look at those dates related to other project timeframes > move things around to avoid overloading, schedule more help for busy periods, etc. Hoping there’s a solution… Thanks Jon

Hi there! I was wondering if there is any way to create new records in a table that is synced? I use Airtable to keep track of projects that are happening in our theatre. Here’s how our workflow is built : our main base is called Operation (and it is the only one), in which we gather all the informations about our shows. Then different collaborators add new activities that are related to their department. One thing that is important to mention is that everyone is working in the same base and it is a mess, not to say a nightmare. When someone makes a mistake, it takes me some time to find what is going wrong to fix it. And so many views have been created that it is difficult to establish an effective work routine. Hi all, New to formulas in Airtable and need a bit of help. My Formula is designed to complete an equation from two different columns, and if the result returns as an error in a cell, then to replace it with a message. The formula can be seen here. IF( ISERROR({TSINGLES} / ({LM}-{TSINGLES})),“No Sales”,{TSINGLES} / ({LM}-{TSINGLES})) Ultimately, as the column now contains numbers and also text, I can’t implement formatting in the dropdown at the top of the column. Could I add something to my formula to ensure that the result from the calculation are returned without any decimals? Here is a screenshot of what we’re working with - not brilliant.

I have three tables, States, Cities, Streets. A street is linked to only one city, and a city is linked to only one state. Of course, a state has multiple cities, and a city has multiple streets. How do I get a view/interface to show every unique combination from the three tables, one per row? For example: Texas - Houston - Main Street Texas - Houston - State Street Texas - Dallas - 1st Ave

Hi, I’m trying to get a component’s name and insert it as a class name. A google search tells me I should use this.constructor.name, but that doesn’t seem to work here. I have a table organized by educator name. I’m trying to create a column that pulls the FIRST occurrence of coaching from a separate base, so we can see on what day each teacher had their first meeting with their instructional coach. The dates vary widely, so I’m not sure how to write this formula. Each coaching session has a unique ID: “[Coach Name] [Teacher Name] [Type of Meeting] [Date]”. I’m hoping that it’s possible to write a formula that can find all of the unique IDs for a particular teacher, and then show me just the oldest one (which would be the first in the school year). I’m a pretty new user of Airtable, so thanks for your patience with what may be a basic question :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi everyone, Hitting a bit of a wall with some formulas and wondering if anyone has a more elegant solution to this… I’m working on a new base that records start and end dates of some work that we do. I then have a datetimediff that calculates the number of days that the record was running (see mocked up example below). We compile reports annually, and I regularly need to show days of work that only fall within the previous calendar year. At the moment I calculate this by pulling off a CSV, adjusting the start and end dates to only cover the range and do a DATEDIF in Excel. Can anyone think of an automated/conditional way of only counting days that fall within a certain calendar year? As you can see above, reporting for 2021 would involve projects 2 and 3, and reporting for 2022 would involve projects 1 and 3. Any thoughts/ideas?

I am requesting your help because I would like to use a script, so that when a partner edits a Linked Field (here ‘Status’) in his Table View, it will directly compare its value to the Status of the client in my Lead Table (lookup field) to update it, based on the one the partner selected. I was using “edit shared view” before but it has been removed by Airtable, and I tried different options but seems the “only way”. I already have different synced tables within my main base, and I manage to organise everything between them, but he cannot work for this specific need of editable view. Because the “Status” that is to be chosen from the partner in its view is creating a duplicate in my ‘Status’ table, and thus do not update my CRM, which therefore do not stop/ launch my sequencing and is a big problem for me because it means I will/or will not send email to people who should receive/or not one. Meeting Status field (formula): • Done • ToDO • NA • Upcoming My fields are- • Meeting Start Date – • Program Date • Current Date Field If a person has a meeting start date of 11/1/2022 and the program date is 12/1/2022 then the field should output “NA” If a program is scheduled for a future date, then the output should be “upcoming”- If a person hasn’t completed the program, the output should be “ToDo” If a person completed the program, then the output should be “done” I appreciate any help.

Hi, I want to create a field that will change based on the results of a single select field. For example, my single select options are [1, 2, 3, 4]. In another field I want to report options [A, B, C, D]. I want to choose A if the next column is 1, B if the single select option is 2, C if the single select option is 3, etc. Thanks!

Here is the link to a Template Base Customer Order logs Factory Orders Status Tracker for the orders that are created to manufacture items to fulfill the customer’s order. The Functionality I’m trying to Implement is in the Factory Order Status Table. The factory creates a record in the table for each Item Style# for every Order and after a few days, they add a “Factory Ship Date” in a Date field. Now, I want to capture the Original Date/value that was entered in this “Factory Ship Date” field and copy it over to “Original Factory Ship Date” in case the Factory changes the date Ship date due to delays, so that I can track the Actual Ship date vs. the “Original Ship date” that was reported by the Factory.
