Hi all! Looking for some help with a script to use in an automation! Background Info: My company offers training classes to our clients and we have a base that houses two tables: 1. Training Master List This table is the Master List of attendees for all classes throughout the year. Includes fields like Client Name, ClientID, Training Completed Date, and Linked Record to Qualified Clients Table 2. Qualified Clients This table includes clients that are qualified to be featured on our list of preferred partners. Similar to the first table mentioned, this table includes fields like Client Name, Client ID, and Contact info. I’m looking to have an automation that runs a script every morning at 10AM. The script needs to loop through the ClientID field in each table looking for matches. If a record from the Training Master List Table has a ClientID that matches a ClientID from the Qualified Clients Table, I would like to link the Qualified Client Record in the Training Master List Table. Is there any share view option in which I can share a view in a table to a selected group of people? I want a grouped and filtered view which can be only accessed by the managers and the other views can be accessed by all the people in the workspace.

I’ve been using airtable for a couple of years on my own and have developed some cool and useful interfaces that I use. It turns out a bunch of others would love to have access to the dashboards I’ve built. I understand I can’t share the interfaces without making those viewers paid collaborators, which is ridiculous for some managers who want to view a page once per month. So what are my options? Screenshots? Stacker?

Hi there, Sorry to bother you with this question, but since this morning the synchronization between Airtable and Google Calendar does not work anymore. Although I created new records, they no longer appear in the google calendar where I integrated the airtable calendar via its url. Does anyone else encounter this problem? Strange thing too, I work with thunderbird for my different email accounts and in the calendar tool it no longer recognizes the url of my airtable calendar. Thanks for your help.

Hey all, I am trying to update the Owner (type: User) of a record, when a status field is updated. However, I keep getting the error: Field “Owner” cannot accept the provided value: Could not find matching collaborator for string The automation is supposed to copy the value of the owner from a lookup field which basically holds the owner from a linked table. Please help.

Hi - I’m brand new to Airtable and am building a capacity tracker/task tracker for my team. In my capacity tracker table, individual team members are assigned an “at capacity” or “available” marker based on a formula that is triggered by the number of tasks they are linked to in the task tracker table. When a task is marked complete in my task tracker table, I want it to disappear from the column/rows it is linked to in the capacity table, so a team member’s capacity level is always accurate. I hope that makes sense. Is it possible to do this with an automation? I’ve been perusing the forums but can’t find anything that is super clear. Thanks!

I’m certain this is a lack of understanding of JS or synchronous/asynchronous operations on my part, but: if I want to call Airtable.base.create through the Node.js module and actually get the created records (or error) returned to be used elsewhere, how would I do that? Hey Community ! I’ve been searching here and there, and i don’t see the way to update multiple fields at the same time, in the same updateRecordAsync. Is it even possible ? Because doing one field update at a time is very slow. Any help or workaround appreciated :cowboy_hat_face:

Hello all, I have a question regarding the changes to the attachment url’s. I have images stored on Airtable that I fetch using the API and display them on my site. I am not using the any permanent link. Whenever a user accesses the site, it requests the data and gets the image url and displays it. Will the changes affect this use case? For example, I know that cloudfare may cache the temporary url and then feed it to the public, but does that mean that some users will get a blank image instead of the new url? Thanks in advance

I don’t see the option to select the field to update in a Record Picker Interface. In a different base I am able to set this correctly. What could be the issue?

Hi… I am using Airtable as my backend for an app I am building in Appgyver. I am trying to experiment with Airtable’s query parameters and I just can’t seem to get some things to work. Currently, I am just trying to retrieve a list of records, but only certain fields for those records. The API Documentation for Airtable seems straightforward but I keep getting the same error: I received a response from a helpful Appgyver user who pointed out that “The HTTP 422 Unprocessable Entity Code indicates that the server has understood the type of query content and that the request syntax is correct but that the server has not been able to carry out the requested instructions. You have to formulate your request differently to access your data.” However, he stopped short of explaining exactly what this means. Any takers here able to help? Thank you!

I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out how I can make this work. I have an Items table. I have a Locations table. I have a Location Records table that joins the two. An Item has many Location Records, and belongs to a Location through its most recent Location Record, and it has a history of all its past Locations through the sequence of all its Location Records. In the Items table, I can Rollup Location Records–>{Date}–>MAX(values) to pull the {Date} out of the most recent Location Record. But how can I pull the {Location} out of the most recent Location Record, so that I can display an Item’s {Current Location}? I can Rollup Location Records–>{Location}–>ARRAYJOIN(values). I was hoping the {Location} value from the most recently added Location Record would be the first in the array – then I could use: LEFT( {Location Rollup}, SEARCH( ",", {Location Rollup} ) -1 ) to parse out the first value from the array. I am trying to figure out a way to trigger an action when a specific status record is updated. For example, when a person is moved to a "Pre-Qualified’ status, then trigger an action to send an email. Is this possible? I don’t need just a status record update, but a specific status record update. Thanks!

If all users have a record in the base, is there a way to prefill the user field on a form with the user who is signed in when they access the form URL? Not having luck creating a prefill formula that accomplishes this.

Here’s some preliminary information to help you understand what I’m trying to achieve… I have 3 tables within one base: Inventory (primary field: Product_ID) Packs (primary field:Pack_ID) Sales Orders (primary field: OrderNo) The “Packs” table holds packs that are made of one or more products from the Inventory table. The Inventory table holds the individual products used to make packs. I’d like to count the total quantity per item in the inventory table that has been sold, in other words the qty “out” from the inventory. Sales orders are registered in its table and each sale is done by pack.

We host events that volunteers help to run. We have forms to let volunteers 1) create events and 2) choose events to help with on specific, future date-times (i.e. the only event times are Weds and Thurs 7-8pm). Form 1) needs an event date picker with pre-selected datetimes (i.e. Weds and Thurs 7-8pm for the next three months). Form 2) needs to only show events created with 1) that are in the future i.e. we don’t show past events. So we currently have one table (A) with a column of dates (manually created, though automatically would be great - different problem). Then a linked record field in the main events table (B) allows people to select one of the dates from that column. The problem is that, in Form), I’m not sure how to filter events with a future date because the linked record field that links dates from the dates table doesn’t treat linked items as dates. Im extracting a telephone number from a column in Airtable, but when there is no phone number or the word message I get the famous #ERROR. How can I get Airtable to just show it as blank? Hello community, I already searched through the forum and found a helpful formula - with a minor problem based on that formula that I am trying to fix. Our datetime_format is D-M-YYYY. Background: We have a field called {start date} for when a new client relationship starts. Let’s say one client started on 1st September 2022 (past date) and another client will start on 1st November 2022 (future date). We have a report automation that we want to send out every year. The first report will be sent out one year after the client was onboarded, that process starting now. That means we do not want to send out multiple reports for a client that started on 1st July 2010, instead they will receive their first report on 1st July 2023. In our understanding we need a date formula adding one year to the {start date} and also consider the current year. Hi Airtable Community, I have a base that receives and manipulates data coming in using a webhook. Data comes in as a single record (so each webhook brings in a single record of data) and that single record needs to be processed completely before the next record can be considered. In other words, the automation needs to run to completion on one record before the automation starts again for the next record. The automation consists of 1 create record action followed by 5 script actions, and is initiated by the receival of a webhook. The automation runs as expected when tested, however I have started to notice missing data assignments that should have been completed by one or two of the script actions. I suspect this may be because a number of webhooks are received within quick succession, which leads to automations kicking off before the previous one has been completed? Does this sounds plausible? And if so, are there any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Cheers, Ryan.
