Hi Everyone, I duplicated a base which I’ve done many times, but this time entries from the associated form did not start at 1. Is there anyway to edit the existing entry IDs if the form is still open/accepting submissions? Essentially I want to edit the current entry IDs so that they go from 1 and increase in numerical ,order, then have the future entries follow that order. Thank you.

Hi! I have two tables with data that’s pulled from another site through Zapier. Table 1 shows a list of registrants for an online class (User ID, Name, Email, Course Name fields), and Table 2 shows a list of users who completed a class (User ID, Name, Email, Course Name, Completion Status fields). I’m trying to set up an automation that would add link records in the two tables, so that I can see which people who registered for a course actually completed it (by adding a Lookup field in Table 1 that would pull in the “Completion Status” field from Table 2). Creating a manual link each time someone completes a course is possible but would take up a lot of time. The problem is that each person might register for and complete multiple courses and would have multiple records in each table. So an automation that links records just through the Name or User ID fields wouldn’t necessarily work. Hello everyone—when I filter a column in a base, Airtable adds a green background for all cells in the column. Is it possible to disable this coloring? (likewise for grouping and sorting, only with the colors purple and orange) I can appreciate what the designers were trying to accomplish (clues in the user that automatic processing will occur on that column), but the visual disruption it creates in my case is not worth the indication (I would argue it’s better to just color or otherwise format the header row only if that is the aim).

Hi Airtable Community, I’m having issues embedding a view into Notion. When I embed an airtable view into Notion like before (I have a whole website full of embeds that worked in the past and still do) it doesn’t work anymore and now just shows the link: I’ve seen a similar query posted 15 days ago but it just today got closed. Has something changed in the Airtable settings maybe?Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is a newbie question. I have a sequence of numbers in my inventory and these are not auto generated, so I am either working with Number or Formula here. I am trying to add zeros to a sequence so that all numbers have 6 digits. Currently, my numbers start at 0 and go up to 4 digits, I think I am looking for an If / Then LEN formula, but I can’t figure out the syntax to make it work. For example, I need 5 to read as 000005, and I need 1401 to read 001401. etc. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I have a table design query in 2 parts. Firstly, I’d like to know your opinions about creating a ‘people’ table in a base - is it best if it is one table or many? For example, I have people that are: ‘students’ taking classes, ‘payees’ that might pay for those students’ classes (some students pay for their own). ‘company contacts’ who normally don’t take classes or pay (but work for companies that do pay) If I create 3 separate tables, all these 3 groups of people will require similar fields in each of those tables and a payee could also be a student themselves… also a company contact might also be a student so I think that one table would probably be better with each person marked with a different (or multiple) ‘person type category’ (in the case of students who are also payees for example). Hello Right now Im on airtable pro trial plan and Im trying to use automation script but it tells me that its not available for my current billing plan. I was wondering whats the point of pro trial if I cant access its features? Then I tried to upgrade my plan to plus and Im only able to select yearly plan for billing and I cant choose monthly. As you see the image Im upgraded to plus but still not able to use this script feature. Thanks for reading

Hi is it possible to tell airtable to look at two fields and look it up/match the fields on a different table and return the corresponding value? For example: Looking at the first image, L5 field (Media Engineering) and the size field (s) lookup the value for “s” in another table, second image, AND for Media Engineering and return the corresponding value? Hey guys, I’ve been really struggling with this for quite a long, hope you can give me a hand. I’m aware, that those questions have been asked already several times here, but still I couldn’t apply any of proposed solutions to my case. I have table A where I’m adding booking numbers. There are also several “special” booking numbers in table B. Whenever in table A there is a booking number, that already exists in table B, I want to have it tagged/highlighted in the next column (in table A). In the same table A, I’m adding a notification numbers. Whenever I add the notification number that already exists in the same table A, I want to have it highlighted in the next colum. Thanks a lot

Greetings! I’d created a formula: CONCATENATE({Month #},“-”,Month) so that grouping in my table(s) would do so since obviously April would be first in the order, etc. However, when I have it sorted in the chart, as you see, the order is, well, not what I’d expect. Any suggestions?

We have an Automation setup to send an email notification via gmail account. In the email body is an Attachment field. The email recipients could open the attachments perfectly fine for month. In the last 2-3 days (likely as a results of the Attachment URL change/expiration), these attachments thumbnails show in the email body of the email notification recipients, but there is an error when clicking on the thumbnail image to try to view the attached file. Here is what the recipients see… The email recipients, as in the example of the screen shot above, are not users of Airtable. We just send them email notifications. Any way to fix this? I have a “Tasks” table with a checkbox (Open OR Complete). I want to list (Rollup) all “Open tasks” in one field and “Complete tasks” in another field on a different table (Clients) What should the formula be?

I have a formula field that creates a URL from a form, with pre-filled data. We are sending this URL link via an automated email. When someone receives the link on a mobile device and tries to open it, they land on the Airtable site and are asked to sign up. It does not display the form in a browser.This is not an issue on a computer. How do we fix this?

Hi! I created a field that concatenates the last name and full name in a table. I am trying to write a function that takes the 2 letters first letter of the first name and 2 last letters of the last name. But it only returns the 2 first letters of the first name. Here is the formula CONCATENATE( UPPER( LEFT( {Full Name},2), RIGHT( {Full Name},2) )) How can we make it happen ? Thank you

Hello! I am building out a new base for my department which runs a variety of Programs throughout the year. Thus far I have set up some dummy data (i.e the “steps” you see in the screenshot) to successfully link my tasks to projects. There is a flow to how we approach the different programs we offer in terms of our when open applications, when we contract instructors for a workshop and so on and so forth. I have it set up so that every time I create a new project - based on the project I select, the are a number of tasks that will be automatically generated. I am now hoping to make it so that when a “Program Start Date” is entered, the “Task Due Date” will auto populate a deadline for each task based on a formula that aligns with our overall event timelines. Based on some previous community posts and through general research I see that the SWITCH formula might be the right way to go. I have this formula WORKDAY({Release Date},-{weeks out in #days}) it returns the date that I need but if there is a cell with Release Date empty, it returns #ERROR. I have tried this formula IF( AND( {Release Date}, {weeks out in #days} ), DATETIME_DIFF({weeks out in #days},{Release Date},‘date’), BLANK()) it removes the #ERROR on the cells that it should, but it puts #ERROR in all of the date fields, I lose the dates that I need. I have tried this formula WORKDAY({Release Date},-{weeks out in #days}, BLANK()) this one puts #ERROR in all cells. what I need: the first formula that returns dates, but if the {Release Date} cell is empty, I want to see a blank rather than #ERROR.

Surely this is an easy formula, but I just can’t get my brain to bend this way: I am using Airtable for my timesheet for my employees. I would like to improve upon my existing “Total Hours” formula by showing “Total Hours by task” , and each task is a single select item in another field. Hi there, I noticed that the HTML attachment preview seems to be unable to render Unicode characters. Characters like typographic apostrophes or em-dashes turn into garbage character sequences. (See attached screenshots.) Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround available?

Hi Community, I have a table with multiple records. Each record has the name of a colleague in the first column/field, an email in the second column, a link for that email in the third column, and the weekday in the fourth column. E.g., Record 1: Simon, simon.g@gmail.com, URL 1, Thursday Record 2: Jack, jack.f@gmail.com, URL 2, Thursday I need to send the links to the email addresses for each person. Since each link is specifically designed for that colleague, I would have to send individual emails to each colleague. Is there a way to automate the process? So that by every Friday, Airtable could automatically send URL 1 to Simon and URL 2 to Jack, and so on for every colleagues. Thanks!

Hello, I am new here. I am also new to formulas. Have managed to work out the formula to calculate the number of 12hr shifts between two date/time fields. ROUNDUP(((DATETIME_DIFF({DepartureDate},{ArrivalDate},‘minutes’) /60 ) /12), 0) My struggle is that shifts are from 06:00 to 18:00 day shift and 18:00 to 06:00 night shift. Therefore if a start time is any time between 06:00 and 18:00 I need it to 'snapback to the default start 06:00. And the same for if the start time is any time between 18:00 and 06:00, I need it to ‘snapback’ to the default start 18:00. Bearing in mind that these are date and time fields formatted YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm. Can anybody help with the correct formula? I hope my explanation makes sense!
