Hi, I could use some advice on the following use case. One base, four tables: Products Orders Order Line Items Out of Stock Products Orders are linked to its Order Line Items, and each Order Line Item record is linked to 1 Product record from the Products table. Additional lookup data of the Product record is gathered in both the Orders and the Order Line Items table. Now here is the main issue: Product records are automatically (via scripting) moved to the Out of Stock Products table once they hit a quantity of 0 (and let’s assume we manually adjust the quantity of these product records). Once a product record is moved though, the link between the Product record and Order Line Item record is removed, causing all the additional lookup and summed up data of my final Order data to be flawed. Somehow, I need to retain that product data in the order. I’m looking for any type of suggestion to deal with this use case to retain the product data in the orders. Could be going anywhere – from

Hello all, How do I add time to a Date field using the scripting block in automations? I know about DATEADD() in formula fields but I’m trying to iterate through a loop. I want to automatically create an indeterminate number of new records where each record’s Date field is the next day (19th, 20th, 21st, etc) in other words, n = n + 1day. Is there some way I can do this in my script’s for loop? Or some clever way to do it with formula fields? Thanks,

Hello, I’m looking for help with a formula/script/automation. I have 5 fields that are checkboxes noting a user’s role. Some users have none checked, some have some, or even all. Also, these fields may be updated at any time by the user, so need something that updates automatically (both adding or removing a role). I need another field that uses the title of the checkbox field (or text I provide), and puts them into one field. I’m struggling with adding commas, because they only need a comma if another role needs to show up behind the prior one.

Hi all! I’m working on an automation script which needs to get the current date so that it can be formatted for a URL. However, calling the .getMonth() function on a date object returns an incorrect month. I can of course correct for this by adding 1 to each month but would prefer not to. Hello, I have a table with about 1700 records. I’m pulling a couple of records and doing some math on all the rows, then updating the result in a new record. The bulk update code I’m using is waaaay faster than a single row update, but it’s still taking about 45-60 seconds. That’s too slow for me to run an automation, which has a 30s timeout. Hi, I can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong with my formula. I’m trying to convert a UNIX timestamp which is in a Single Line Text field, into a corresponding date field. My UNIX is in a field called _eventTimestamp and value is 1663598125000 stored in a Single Line Text field. My date field has the formula DATEADD('1/1/1970',_eventTimestamp,'seconds') and the formula results to 4/30/54687 2:16am I can’t seem to figure out why that is. I checked the UNIX timestamp online and it shows me the correct converted date It’s probably a blindspot but I can’t seem to figure out why I’m getting a weird value for the date in Airtable. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. I’m using airtable as a way to keep a product catalog for my company, both out of stock, and currently available products are listed, as to help customers compare products they like but may be out of stock, against our current inventory. Is there a way to script some code to identify specific markers (Flavors, similar categories, etc.) based on user selection/input, and for airtable to automatically recommend a similar product? I’m not well versed in coding, so any assistance would be appreciated!

Hey all! So I wanted to create an event, and CLEAR or DELETE the Google Calendar even when a checkbox/flag is clicked. This would be used when we cancel or reschedule but don’t want to delete the original entry. Currently I have three automations: These all work beautifully, but I wanted one more automation, unless the #2 could also update, but figured it’d be better to keep it separated as its own unique automation. Any ideas? I don’t see an option “Delete Google Calendar Event”. Thanks. Sean L

Hi I am trying to create an airtable with resources, rate, jobs no. quantity, amount and total. To do this I have created a master of inventory type with rate against each item. Eg: Small Carton $ 5, Large Carton $10 etc. Now I want to use that data for different jobs numbers. In each job i want to track the different types of resources used, quantity used, cost of each resources and total cost of resources used for each job. Eg: Job no. 50 - Small Carton $5 x Quantity 2 = $ 10 Large Carton $10 x Quantity 2 = $ 20 Total Cost = $30 Eg: Job no. 51 - Small Carton $5 x Quantity 1 = $ 5 Large Carton $10 x Quantity 2 = $ 20 Total Cost = $25 Eg: Job no. 52 - Small Carton $5 x Quantity 0 = $ 0 Large Carton $10 x Quantity 2 = $ 20 Total Cost = $20 Could you please help. i’m seeing some very strange behavior in one tab of my base. my colleague duplicated the tab from another tab that was called “9/15 NYS Budget” and then renamed it. in the new tab, whenever you right click, instead of the options saying things like “delete record” or “insert record above,” it says “delete budget” and “insert budget above.” i made a copy of the new table including duplicating records and the behavior goes away. it’s not really impacting our functionality, but it’s very strange and caused some concern for my colleague! any thoughts? anyone seen something like this before?

Hey all, Hoping a relatively simple question! When you add a linked record column, it gives you the option to add multiple lookup columns (associated with that record). Is there anyway you can add multiple lookup columns AFTER you’ve created the linked record?

Is it possible to select records in scripting with specific conditions? If I wanted to get all the records that have a field value of green, how would I write that query? I don’t want to just get all the records; I want specific records with more than 100 results.

Hi, I am trying to automate an update of the “Date of Last Interaction” field in multiple linked companies (records) in my ‘Companies’ table with information from the “Date of Interaction” field in my ‘Interactions’ table when an interaction (a record) is added into ‘Interactions’. I was able to successfully update "Date of Last Interaction with the day the record is created/edited following this forum post. However, I want to update this with information pulled from the “Date of Interaction” field in my ‘Interactions’ table instead. How to automatically obtain the daily exchange rate and add the corresponding record in the specified table.

example URL = Sign in - Airtable example API = keyMYCOOLKEY This is what I have and what I am working with. The system that I have set up connects to the above URL and gets HTML back… Don’t know if that is correct, but the end goal is to retrieve JSON data for data import. The issue is that when I use the URL, it displays the HTML page but says it needs a login. At no time does it require my API key. A PHP curl test reveals : "Found. Redirecting to /login?continue=%2FappiKlBfTyvFfarTu%2FtbliOpnbcxQauIudo%2Fviw7uPlqwOjhTydwt%3Fblocks%3Dhide&redirectSource=liveapp" When I use a bogus app/tbl/viw, then it returns an HTML that says the page cannot be found. To summarize, the URL seems to be working that I have although it needs a login in order to return a HTML with the correct JSON data. How can I approach this, so that the correct data is returned while also using the API key? What I have done I tried using https://api.airtable/app… with curl and passing Bearer and the API key. Hello. I am having some trouble with automations for email reminders. I am using the formula below to create the condition that will be used in the automation. When entering the start date and time, I can’t seem to enter this information quickly enough without either a) the date appearing as a partial of the real date (eg “9/1” instead of “9/16”) and thus triggering an email immediately, or b) the auto-populated time for the date (the current time) appearing and thus triggering an email. I can tell this is happening because the start time field appears in the email header as “9/1/2022” instead of “9/16/2022” for example. Is there any way to get the system to give you a few seconds to enter things before jumping the gun? Thanks!
