Hi all I’ve had Airtable for only a few days and I’m desperately trying to replicate what I’ve got in Excel, however I’m a bit stuck and hoping for some help please. It’s essentially a points lookup. Requirements Users must answer 4 yes/no questions (represented by 4 columns/fields) Each answer of Yes will add the number of points shown in table below, with the total points across the 4 fields attributed to a priority Users should only see the below 5 columns - any other fields created and used to calculate/lookup to determine the priority should not be visible to the user The priority should not be able to be edited by the user - this defeats the whole purpose In the above example, user has answered Yes to B so 10 points has been assigned in total and this results in a medium priority being assigned. Hello! I would like to create groups based on a “contains” value in a text field. Since this is not an available option, I think I am going to need to use a formula to create a field that I can group by. Objective: Create a conditional formula that will select a drop-down based on conditions. Sample Data: What I would like to happen: If Campaign Name contains “PF_MU30_Weekly” Change Email Type to “Weekly” If Campaign Name contains “PF_MU30_ReEngagement” change Email Type to “ReEngagement” If Campaign Name contains “PF_MU30_Engagement” change Email Type to “Engagement” From here then I can group by the Email Type field. Any tips on how to set up a database to do QA (Quality Assurance)? The main issue is that every project has different requirements and questions, so using one table seems like a no go. What is constant The only constants in the whole database are three: Customer, by this I mean that a Customer is the owner of one or several projects, Platform (example “Desktop”, or “Mobile”), and Type of questions* *(But, content of questions changes from project to project) What changes from project to project Everything else requires a unique ID Testers’ IDs (they are anonymous) Questions Number of questions Content of questions Its attachments, if any Type of attachments, if any Should I create a different table for each new project? Hi, I am fairly new to Airtable and couldn’t find a solution to this here! I have a formula that does a division calulation using the output from a formula field and a linked field value. Here is my setup, I am getting #ERROR! in my calculation field. Here is my formula I have tried various combinations of using the VALUE() function but I can’t get it to work. Thanks in advance. John

I’m creating an invite-only job application form. When sending it to applicants, is there a way to prevent someone from sharing the form, i.e, restricted access so that only people with the provided email can open the link?

I’m trying to create an IF statement that would return a different result even if something matches the original criteria. I have Client ABC that doesn’t fit into the regular payment schedule, so I want the value “123” to be put as their payment and the have the rest of the clients calculated based on the formula. The problem is that Client ABC has values in each of the computed fields, so the value of those fields is being returned instead of 123. I’ve tried a variety of things without any luck. I’m looking for a solution for adding e-signature approvals for invoice attachments to a record. Basically I’m trying to track invoice approvals, but need to be able to add an e-signature when someone approves the invoice for payment. Any ideas?

I have a table whose user entered fields are susceptible to errors arising from invalid conditions between two or more fields. For example: Start and end dates are optional but if both start and end date are filled out the end date must be AFTER the start date. If the value of the Type field is ‘Underwriting’ then the Underwriter field must be non blank. Depending on the value of a certain status field, the total count of linked record in another field should be just 1, or 0. I want the user to be alerted to a lot of error conditions as they enter data or view records, but I don’t want a whole bunch of formula fields alerting the user and cluttering up the users’ views or interfaces. To keep things simple for the user I created just one formula field to concatenate together all possible error checks. Each term in the concatenation returns a descriptive message if the error check logic detects a problem, or a zero-length string if the error check logic doesn’t find a problem. An extr

When referencing a 2nd table, I’m receiving a “Received invalid inputs” error. I have Table A in the initial steps of the automation, and then set up a conditional action for Table B to be updated based on the results from Table A. When I select Table B in the conditional action, it still references Table A. Is it not possible to reference two tables separate in an automation?

I am creating a base that will track my staff’s required training classes. The classes vary in their renewal times, some only have to be taken once, some are required to be taken yearly, every 3 or 5 years. I created the following tables: Staff - contains Name and other pertinent info. Classes - lists all the required classes and their expiration times in number of years: 1, 3, 5. I created a table for training records and linked the staff and class names to this table, along with training date (date the staff took the class) and if it is the newest record (as there will be multiples.): This is what I would like to happen and I don’t know where to start: I would like to set up an automation that sends out an email when a staff is within 90 , 60, and 30 days of the class expiring. This would entail taking the Training Date from the Training table and the expiration time from the classes table using a formula to add the years to the training date and return the expired date. Hi guys, I’m having a slight issue with a synced table. It has added 6 blank records that don’t exist on the source table and that weren’t there after the destination table was created/before the sync. There’s definitely nothing to delete (first thought was pesky blank records that have been created accidentally in the source table), and I have run the sync multiple times in case there was anything that needed refreshing (even though there were never any blank records in the source table). And I can’t delete them on the destination table. I also don’t want to risk breaking the sync, as these have a lot of linked records within the destination base that I can’t risk losing. Any thoughts?

I’m pulling in a Webflow form into Airtable using the web hook automation. There is a checkbox on the form to select that you would like to receive marketing emails. I’m have some trouble getting the checkbox status to feed into Airtable properly. I have the checkbox configured to be Dynamic and I have selected the data field that came in but every time I run it I get an error. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you J

Hello, In my base, the records are records of different meetings. These meetings are recurring. When I set the Google calendar automation, Airtable sends an email for each meeting. I do not want to send too many emails. For example there are 10 meetings Is there any way to create Google event for these 10 meetings without sending 10 google event mails?

Hi all, I would like to retrieve data from an API and update fields to a table. I have had trouble finding a basic example of this. I have been able to update one of my tables from a python module which really simplifies things but if I could remove the python from the process and simply do it in a script that would be great. I know there are a million variations on this question already but I’ve read all the solutions and spent several days trying to resolve it and am still stuck. Perhaps my issue is unique, perhaps I’m just slow. I have 3 tables in my base. Trip Test, Members and Trip sign ups. Members is a list of members Trip Test is a list of trips Trip sign ups is a sign up form where a member selects which member they are in a form (from a look up of the Members list) Which ends up looking like this in grid view I am trying to create a view in Trip Test that pulls in and shows which member has signed up for each trip (preferably so that member can also be clicked on to show additional info like their photo). All I’ve ended up with though is another selection field to choose those members rather than pulling those that have already signed up.
