I’m building a credit card base where we store expiration dates. One formula will simply tell us that a card is set to expire (aka when status is “Expiring”) within the month. At this point I have an automation set to email client with expiring card message. Now I’m trying to set up a second automation triggered by a formula field to let me know what the card is now “Expired”. So far this formula works to tell me if the card is Expiring or Valid. IF({Expiration Date}<TODAY(),“Expiring”,“Valid”) However now I want to add an “Expired” status too. Yet when I do this entire formula it doesn’t work. IF({Expiration Date}<TODAY(),“Expiring”,“Valid”), (IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{Expiration Date},‘days’) > 30, ‘Expired’)) What am I doing incorrectly?

Continuing to work on a base for automated emails regarding expired credit cards. @Ben.Young already helped me with a formula field, but now as I take the next steps into automated emails I’ve hit a weird issue. As part of my automated message I want to include a link to our blank fillable Credit Card Authorization PDF. So I found the amazing script for converting attachments to urls, executed the script, filled my new form link field with URLs (formatted as long text), however when I attempt to enter this field as dynamic data in my automation it isn’t showing the URL.

Hi guys! New user here, feel like this should be a simple one but just can’t figure it out. I have a table for Athletes and a table for their AthleteRecords. On the AthleteRecords table each record has an ID, and lists the Athletes schools (HS and College). I have a field in the Athlete table that is set to the ID of the most recent AthleteRecord for that athlete, and I would like to pull the SchoolType field from the AthleteRecords table that matches that ID and set it to a field in the Athlete table. This way I can have a field in the athlete table that shows the athletes “Current School Level” based on their most recent school entry. Thank you for the help I cant figure this one out!

On my view, it shows the form on the left hand side, and I can see that Jenn created it. On Jenn’s view, it’s not showing the form. Help! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Airtable Community, I have created new fields and an automation to allow me to automatically send out an email and Teams message 2 days prior to an observed holiday in our Company Calendar table. I have successfully figured out the date when the automation should fire, but now I’d like to take it a step further and ensure that it goes out at 9:00AM EST on the reminder date. Here are the relevant details: I have a formula field called “Remind Today?” that will either be set to “Yes” or “No”. Formula: IF(Category=“Observed Holiday”,IF({Reminder Date}=TODAY(),“Yes”,“No”),“”) ‘Reminder Date’ is a formula field. In the Formatting tab, I’ve selected “Date Format” = Local, Include Time, 12 Hr format, and use the same time zone (GMT) for all users. Automation triggers on conditions: Category = “Observed Holiday” and “Remind Today?” = “Yes”. Since the ‘Remind Date’ field shows a date with time = “12:00am”, I thought the automation would fire at midnight, but it actually fired at 8:52pm t

Hello community! I’m trying to implement a simple badge system within an volunteer program. Basically, when volunteers pass certain checkpoints I’d like to award them a badge e.g. ran workshop X >> badge 1 ten total workshops >> badge 2 The pivot table extension creates a visualization of what I want to do where… row = volunteer name and columns = count of each workshop But I want this to perform this calculation within the base itself (perhaps using arrays in a formula field?) with badges being awarded via once certain conditions are satisfied. If there’s anyone out there that thinks they might be able to help but don’t yet have enough information pls let me know and I would be happy to try and explain further. Thanks very much, Alex

As you can see a formula that generates a date. Also as you can see, no filtering options by date for this formula field. Have tried a RAW and unformatted date in the formula which achieves the same result.

Hi, I have a database of professionals for whom I want to create a formula to search for the appropriate therapist using MAKE There are categories where I want to search all searchable categories, and there are categories where I want to search one or another category. for example- I am interested in looking for a therapist “for children” in the area or “Tel Aviv” or Jerusalem. AND( SEARCH(“children”,{categorys}) OR( SEARCH(“Tel Aviv”,{categorys}) SEARCH(“Jerusalem”,{categorys}) ) ) But apparently the formula is incorrect. Would appreciate help

Hello! I am using the covert url to attachments extension and I’d like to run it every time I do an upload via csv, but only have it go through the newly uploaded records. Right now it does give the option to skip fields that already have attachments in them which is nice, but I have about 30,000 records and a decent amount of them don’t have urls to convert in the first place so it takes a while. Is there a way to only run a script based off a view or conditions? I’m not familiar with JavaScript, but I feel like there should be a way. I’ve attached a screenshot of the extension script, any help is appreciated - thank you!

I’m trying to create automatic due dates for video production timelines. We have different production timelines for different videos - ads and standard videos with a 5 week turnaround time, short form videos with a 1 week turnaround time, and instant videos with a 2 day turnaround time. I want to be able to select a final due date for the video and for the production due dates to calculate automatically based on the type of video. I’ve sort of figured it out - my problem is that the formatting is very difficult to read, and I can’t change the formatting. Here’s what I have: I’d like the due dates to look like a regular date without the time, but it won’t let me choose the formatting when I add the IF statements. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Airtablers, I’d like to turn a normal link into a Rich Text Editor link automatically. See screenshot - “Link” is just text, “Zoom link” is a Rich Text link with the Zoom link as the click through. I’d love to automate turning the Link into a Zoom link whenever a new Link is added. Would this be possible?

Hello, I’m trying to develop a custom extension, but I’m facing an issue. I’ve defined a button associated with action “Open Custom Extension” that points to my custom extension. However in both case, I’m unable to retrieve the recordId of the line of the clicked button: When extension panel is closed When extension panel is opened I’m trying to retrieve the “selectedRecordIds” but upon a button click, it remains empty… Is it possible to retrieve this? Is it possible for the custom extension, that the source event is a click on a button? Thanks, Raphael

Hi team again, I need a quick hand, block with this atm In a table I have the following to fields File - Attachment : It could be an image, gif, video or audio Type - Multiple Select: Details de type of the image based on manually set options (image, gif, video or audio) Any ideas on how to set the Type based on File extension? If you’re wondering, the Type field will be used in a user facing filter to search by file types.

I’ve scanned the forum and I do not see a way to share JUST the view to a specific user in the same way a base or workspace is shared. Am I missing it?

I know how to test for the presence or absence of a value in another field, e.g. IF( MiddleName != BLANK().... But it does not seem to work with a field that should return a number result, when the parameter being fed to the formula is empty. Here’s what I think is the standard Airtable formula for an Age calculation: DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),DOB,'years') Works great so long as there is a date in the DOB field. If DOB is empty, on the other hand, this formula returns “NaN” (“Not a Number”). That’s ugly. So I tried IF(DOB!=BLANK(),DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),DOB,'years'),BLANK()) But get the same result. Apparently BLANK() isn’t a number value. This wouldn’t be a problem in FileMaker, but if it were, I could coerce the (empty) result to a (non) value of type Number. In FileMaker these are both valid expressions: GetAsDate("") GetAsNumber("") But Airtable doesn’t have a way to do this does it? Something like COERCE(BLANK(),Number) Is there another way to get rid of the “NaN” result in my Age fiel

I’m not sure if this is an irrational question or not, but is there a way to set up some kind of button (one) that will issue a command to run an entire base/all it’s rows ‘at the same time’? The reason I am asking this is in relation to connecting to automation software like n8n, zapier etc and reducing the number of api calls (they’re not an issue now but could be in the future). In my usage case, I have a table that sends and receives sms via n8n and Twilio. I only want to send messages in bulk on a manual basis. At the moment, I have a Checkbox Table that when checked sends the message to the user, and if I need to send to a 1000+ people I would copy and paste down the whole Checkbox select. The issue in my mind with this is that - particularly as the row count increases with more people in the future - there will become milliseconds delays between the first select and the last select, thereby firing off automations (which activate on select) at different times. Within the last hour all of the automations just stopped processing through and now have a “In Progress” for the run history. I checked the automations as there was no field values changed and the trigger never changed. Additionally, I ran a few test automations and they went through and updated the fields correctly. However, when a form is submitted the automations doesn’t process and gets stuck at “In Progress”. I can’t find anything to show it is broken on my end. Is there an announcements portion or something that maybe AirTable can state if this is more then a local issue and effecting others?

I am tracking companies, investors, and founders. It just so happens that some founders are also investors. For example: Company X - Founder A - Investor M, Investor N (also Founder C), Investor O Company Y - Founder B - Investor Q (also Founder A), Investor R, Investor C Company Z - Founder C - Investor E, Investor F, Investor G (also Founder B) I want to setup a view where people can see both (a) the Company that the Founder founded (straightforward lookup/linked record), (b) the Companies that the Founder has invested in (if any). How do I achieve this?

I just connected a base to slack and I’d like to automatically message a specific employee when a customer’s credit card expires. I have a field with expiration date, another field with a formula “IF({Expiration Date}<TODAY(),“Expired”,“Valid”)”. Is there a way I can trigger a slack message when this field is “Expired”? Would I use “updates to watched record” to configure slack message? If so, how do I make my formula field a “watched record”?

Hi forum! Can anyone from the community let me know if their Airtable integration was reviewed after submitting it? We’re getting radio silence recently – just want to understand the timelines so we can plan our developer resources for this quarter. Our timeline so far: April 17: Submitted an app May 9: emailed marketplace-submissions@airtable.com asking for an update May 12: got an email from Albrey asking for changes to the integration May 16: made the changes, resubmitted, emailed to confirm changes were made June 6: emailed asking if there was an update June 16: emailed asking if there was an update June 27: emailed asking if there was an update Airtable Blocks SDK talks about a 2 week turnaround time, but it’s now been almost two months since we last heard from Airtable. Once an integration is approved, is there a similarly long turnaround time for any changes to the integration? I’d hate to be telling a customer that it’ll take 2+ months to respond to bug reports. :frowning:

Hello, I am trying to build a simple automation using Make.com (Integromat) when a form is submitted to Webflow I need to create, search and update a record. This is the workflow: I have 2 forms on my webflow website: Form 1 gets email address and IP address → Create a new record Form 2 gets a few checkboxes and IP address → Search for records that matches the IP address and update the record with the checkboxes I tried different formulas but the issue I am having is that when Form 2 is submitted all the records on my table are updated. Hi mates, I’m using a field button to open a gmail mailto URL. Everything is working well (I’m adding fields, subject, email and body) except the fact that gmail doesn’t add my signature by default as always. Is anyone facing the same problem? Thanks in advance,
