Hey everyone Having a bit of problems with this script. I have a tasklist and at the end of the record I have a delete button. When I press the button I want it to delete just that record. But when I use this script it seams to delete just any of the records in the list except the record I want to delete. Why are all my DATETIME_DIFF formulas coming up as a negative number? My formula is: DATETIME_DIFF({Birthday}, TODAY(), ‘years’) and I am getting for example -29 instead of 29.

I want to do daily updates from each person on my team. I’ve created a table that has each of their names in a drop-down. The primary field is the date. I have a daily meeting where i’d like those records to be waiting for me to type the daily update in the “Notes” field. Then the next day, have those lines waiting for me again to fill in with that day’s inormation. They all go into one big log, and then I have a view that is just “Today”, filtered by today’s date. I made another table with the Names in a list so I could just cut and paste them each day, but that’s tedious. Is there a way to either replicate these records for every weekday in the future (or future month, etc.)? Or a way to have those 10 blank records (for 10 employees) waiting for me to fill in each day?

I want to update certain values (columns) of a record automatically in another table if it meets the condition. How can I do so? I have added a checkbox in Table 1. If the check box in Table 1 is checked, then update the values in Table 2.

I have table where I’m tracking attendance versus enrollment of a training workshop. I’m using a name field that also has a lookup field displaying whether someone goes by a formal name or an alias. I have another field that has an array of all attendees of the workshop an individual has enrolled in. I’ve had some success finding the enrollee’s name in the array of attendance to determine whether the enrollee is among those in the array. However, I’m running into an issue where, in some cases the enrollee, though listed as using an alias, may in fact have attended the workshop under their formal name. So, I need to use a formula that can search for and find either the alias or the formal name in the array, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Here’s what I have in the case of an enrollee who uses an alias who also attends the workshop using that alias: FIND( (IF({Alias (from Name)},{Alias (from Name)},Name)), {Workshop Session 000 Attendance}) I have tried including AND, but nothing is

Hello, I would like to create a new static date when a checkbox is clicked. It should be [day the checkbox is clicked] + [X Days]. I’m actually using IF({Follow-up 1 sent?} = 1, (DATEADD(TODAY(),2,"days")),BLANK()) However the Today() function keeps updating the date to … today. I’d like the newly created date to be static and not be incremented every day by the TODAY() function. Thanks

I want to avoid replicate the same base filter 10X times on the same view I could not find a combination for that. Why is it limited ?

Hello - I am trying to utilize a formula to view a date that is formatted like this Tue Aug 23, 2022 3pm - 3:30pm as 08/23/2022. (I do not need the time range in the final view) I was trying to do a formula like this: DATETIME_FORMAT(DATETIME_PARSE({Formula},“DDD MMM DD, YYYY”), “MMM-DD-YYYY”) but I am just getting an error in return Am I wildly off? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am super new to formulas.

I am creating a table where our team enters LinkedIn social media analytics. I have only dabbled with formulas, so I went to my friend for help, and he gave me a good formula, but I think it needs tweaking. Here is my dilemma: First, I want the “Click-Through Rate” to display “Not Available” for future posts. For current posts (as well as past posts); I would like to display a number, even if it’s zero. If you notice in my screenshot, there were certain past posts with data entered, but it doesn’t display anything in the Click-Through Rate cells. :woman_shrugging:t5: Second, I would like to display the Click-Through Rate as a decimal that moves the decimal point. For example, instead of displaying 0.0198, I would like for it to display, 1.98% Here is the formula: IF({clicks} > 0, ROUND({Clicks}/{Impressions},2), if({Impressions} >0, ROUND({Clicks}/{Impressions},2), “Not Available”)) I appreciate any and all help.

I have a table with employees I have a table with courses I have a table with course attendance I have a table with training days I have a table with skills Courses have linked Skills Course Attendance has linked Courses & linked Employees (who attended) I can use Lookup to show Skills next to Course Attendance Training Days have linked Skills & linked Employees (who attended, lets call this LE1) I can list Linked Skills next to Employee using a Lookup for Training and a Lookup for Course Attendance. I’ve got this working up to this point using “Link to another record” type fields. Training Days and Courses expire after a period of time (no longer competent). I want the Employee to show only linked Skills from Courses and Training that haven’t expired. I can do this using “Link to another record” type fields with “Limit record selection to a view” and limiting the view to records that haven’t expired. PROBLEM: using “Limit record selection to a view” on “Link to another record”

Banging my head on the table here - I cannot seem to figure how to link tables that I have imported from another database, having converted them to Excel. I have something basically like this: Table1 Table1_Key | Table1_Field1 | Table1_Field2... Table_2 Table2_Key | Table1_Key | Table2_Field1 | Table2_Field2... Data imports fine, but when I create the link, it just doesn’t work. I’m sure I’m overthinking something here, I just cannot seem to figure what it is. Matt

I’d like to insert an image in my base guide. I think I’m using the proper Markdown syntax, but it’s simply not working. I get the impression from this page that this should be possible. It says You can also use Markdown within the base guide to add headers, links, emojis and images. It works here in the Community. Here’s the exact Markdown I’m using, followed by the result here. Can I get the same result in the Base Guide? 

Hi everyone, So I am working on an automation that can help me do progress tracking, and I want the automation to help me find records that are based on the day of the week, and change the progress by +1. The current solution I have is: Scheduled Trigger Once a week Mondays Find Records with Mondays. Conditional Actions: if Progress is exactly 1 Update to 2 if Progress is exactly 2 Update to 3 And I would multiply this by 7 for the 7 days of the week But I realize, it does not update the entire batch but only one entry? Any potential solutions?

I have a table where I need to mark when flights take off between 22:00 - 07:00. I would like an If statement where it marks the record with an X when this is true. I have date fields for the departure time but I just cant quite find how to have a general standing marker based on times rather that a specific time AND date.

Maybe I’m just not looking in the right places but I cannot figure this out. I have a rollup field which is outputting ARRAYUNIQUE(values) so I end up with “Product1, Product2, Product3” I now want to have three other formula fields which are: “Has Product 1” “Has Product 2” “Has Product 3” that will equal “True”, “False” if the the product is found in the rollup string. How can I go about this?

I need help figuring out an issue I’m having when filtering a view using a lookup field. I have a project tab and a task tab set up. For the tasks, I have task owners set up. The tasks work in a chronological order. The first task needs to be completed before task 2 can start, and so on. For the projects, I have a formula set up that automatically updates the project status when someone completes their task using a checkbox. I want to have a view for each person in the task tab – where they can see all tasks they have to do, but I want them to ONLY be able to see the tasks where they are up to complete the task (aka the task(s) before them are all completed and the status of the project aligns with their task). I have it set up where it currently filters for the task owner, the project status (through a lookup field from the project tab), and if the task has been marked complete through the checkbox. However, for some reason it is not filtering correctly and is showing all of the task

I have a table with 500 students. 400 of them I have the photo ID. For all of them, I have the email address to contact the parents. I have a form designed with mini extension allowing a parent to log in with the student ID and the last name, in order to upload the student’s photo ID. I would like to generate to all parents of a student with no photo a personalized email allowing them to upload the photo ID. What will be the way to do it?

I have a Learning Course table that tracks courses with either a single session or dual sessions via checkbox fields. I have links to fields in this table that identify whether an enrollee has completed the relevant sessions(s). From there I have a checkbox field that indicates whether, based on the attendance, whether an enroll has effectively completed the course. I tested a formula field that runs the checkbox field for the dual session completion, but I’m struggling to create a formula that accounts for the single session field. I initially thought it was an IF(OR(AND())) type of configuration but nothing seems to work. This seems simple but I am not sure how to accomplish this. I have my educators complete a form that requires them to enter their course start dates in ISO. This format is important for some concatenate fields and dropdown menus in other tables and forms, and thus I cannot change the format when the forms are completed. Currently, I am asking my instructors to enter the date twice: Once as ISO and once as friendly. In order to avoid entry mistakes and disgruntlement amongst the ranks, I would love to be able to do this with a formula. In short, I would my like instructors to enter the date as ISO and then in a second field the friendly date format populates magically. This: 2021-06-11 becomes June 6, 2021 in a second field. Hi, I am trying to prefill a form using the following formula: CONCATENATE({Applications URL}, ‘?prefill_Which+role+are+you+applying+for?=’, {Name of opportunity}) The ‘Name of opportunity’ field contains more than one word, but the formula is only pulling the first word. Here is an example of one form’s URL: Airtable Apply to our roles today! - Airtable Fill out the "Apply to our roles today!" form quickly and securely on Airtable. When the ‘Name of Opportunity’ is actually ‘Logistics, Freight and Warehousing - DSV’. How do I ensure that the form populates with all the words? Thanks!

Hi Airtable Community, We are using the “enable rich text formatting” on a “long text” field, using bullet points to indicate points of attention or statuses. Is there any way to use this rich text and do the following: Filter out first / last 3 bullet points by using a formula? Filter out items under a bullet point matching a certain category, eg. text in bold - by using a formula? Screen shot attached where I’m looking if I can filter out basis eg. “Week 13” or filter on bold. Many thanks!

Hello all, I’m working through the parent-child relationships of a self-linked table. I need to build a hierarchy or path which traverses a multi-level hierarchy using a “child” relationship. Some other solutions in these forums are focused on a “parent” relationship column, such as the excellent solution by @Justin_Barrett here: https://community.airtable.com/t/parent-child-tree-hierarchy/44094 Using the above solution as an example, I would like to build the following hierarchy: I’m open to other feedback on how construct this, even if it isn’t a scripting solution. I’ve just used the above example as a starting point. I’m also aware of the parent vs child tradeoffs of self-linking tables. I’ve gone through multiple iterations of this project already, trying both approaches. Thanks for the help!

Hi, I would like to ask what is wrong with this script below. What I’m trying to achieve is search a particular word on a given string and make sure that the word is not misspelled by not having any additional letter or numbers at the beginning or end of the word (Special characters are allowed. Case sensitive search). What happens with this script is, it fails to search for the given word even if nothing is added before or after the word. I have tried my RegEx on online testing tools and it actually works fine. If you guys know any alternative for my scenario please do let me know!
