Hello I need some help with the Rollup, I have two tables: Points Tracker and Members In the Points Tracker table, there are 3 columns: Member Email, Event Name, Points. Whenever someone joins an event, we get their email and the name of the event that they joined and based on the event name they got different points. Same people can join multiple events and collect points from each event such as: first @gmail.com - Event1 - 15 Points second @gmail.com - Event1 - 15 Points first @gmail.com - Event 2 - 10 Points The Members table has two columns: Member Email and Points What I’m trying to do is to feed the Members table back with the sum of the Points a member got looking at the Points Tracker table: first@gmail.com - 25 Points I used Roll Up in the Members table but I need to manually select the related records anytime there is a new record in the Points Tracker table. For example, in order to deduct 25 points for the first member, I manually selected first@gmail.com - Event1 - 15 Poin

Hello! I am trying to make a formula based on an IF statement. IF one cell = something, then perform this formula. For example, IF( {Frequency}, ‘Annual’,({Cost/12})) I would like to have multiple “IF” statements & formulas. Is this possible?

I have several linking records that involve student teachers, what school they are working in, and what times they are teaching. What I want to do is compare one student’s availability with another student’s availability. I started with this: But I would like it to look something like : I thought about using a formula on my first table to create the information : ` IF(Student=“Student 1”, “Yes”, “No”) However, that returns “No” for everything. How do I set this up so that I can compare two or three students’ availability while eliminating all the extra information? For instance, if want to compare student 1 or student 3, I don’t want to see student 2’s information. (I am actually dealing with 12 students on 5 different days.)

Hi, One of the things I am trying to automate is sending an email with an attachment. This attachment is the latest file available in a dropbox folder, that would be uploaded as soon as its available. Here’s an overview of what I am trying to do: New file is available in dropbox folder > File is uploaded and added to attachment column in airtable base > Status of row changes to send > Custom email is sent to set email. This seems possible, but I am stuck at understand how to let airtable know that new file is available. How would you create this?

Please tell me if is possible to use a variable to define the field name inside updateRecordAsync method. await table.updateRecordAsync(record, {"Phone": value}) the method accepts variables for “record” and for field “value” but I want to use a variable for “Phone” (without quote marks) like the example below: let fieldName = "Phone"; await table.updateRecordAsync(record, {fieldName: value}); I want to let users set up fieldName using input.config Please help. :pray:

If you create a template in Airtable Universe and someone signs up and registers with Airtable for the first time because of your template, do you receive referral attribution for this new user sign up? I think this would be fair, and a great incentive for users to create ultra high quality templates and then publicly promote them on their social media, courses, marketing, email signatures, etc…

Just a small thing, but the change your password flow is a bit odd. If I see two boxes, I expect the first to be ‘current password’ (for validation) and the second to be ‘new password’. Either that, or they’re both ‘new password’ with the second as a confirmation. Airtable has it backwards! ‘New password’ then ‘current password’. This is odd, and caused me to go in circles. Of course I could just be an idiot but this could be a lot clearer.

Hi everyone! I’m new to learning how to use the deeper aspects of Airtable and how to use linked records. The problem I’m having … I have a multi-question survey, and am trying to calculate the percentage that people answered a question “yes”. However, some people skipped the question, so I need to remove these from the % calculation. My goal is to determine what percentage of responses were “yes” from those who actually responded. I tried by making a lookup table for each question that would only show answers yes/no (so no blank answers), and then the formula COUNTALL ({my lookup field name}) to first tell me how many responded, but I am not getting the correct answer. Does anyone have recommendations for how to solve this? Thank you I

What are the reasons you would create an additional (new) base for your company’s info rather than store it in another table? We have a lot of info to track but I’m struggling with when to know what belongs in the same base, and what calls for its own base. For example, we have 2 separate production divisions that handle the same kind of work, just on different types of accounts. Clients Jobs per Client Projects per Job that can utilize different internal teams Deliverables for each project Tasks that add up to the delivery/completion of a Deliverable Regarding the users… There is a leadership team above these divisions with the need to see data from both divisions rolled up into one place. This makes me think Division A and B’s work should all happen in the same base. For the most part, the team members within each division are not shared with the other division (although this could change in the future). I was wondering if there was a way to filter based on linked records. That is: for the current record, you only add the current number to the sum of running totals of linked records. Would anyone know how to do this?

I’m have some datetime fields that I’m trying to format down to isolate the time. However, I’m seeing that there are some glitches with how the time renders based on time zone. My source datetime field is formatted to PDT, but the output appears to be GMT. I don’t see a way to correct this because switching the datetime field to GMT for all collaborators produces bogus times that cannot be used for local dates. Is there an operator to add in the formula that corrects the glitch from the source datetime field, or is there a way to “lock-in” the time in the base so that GMT doesn’t muck things up?

I’m using a “record review” layout in interface designer to allow our team to review categories assigned to objects. I can’t seem to make the category field editable in the interface, even though I have no trouble with this for other fields. I’m wondering if you just can’t do that for lookup fields? Background: We have a table with all the items in our system. We also have a form that allows our wider team (who do not have airtable accounts) to assign categories to those items, then a lookup field in the main table to display those category assignments. We want the internal team to be able to use an interface to approve and, if needed, revise the category assignments. I am hoping that the interface can display all the items in the main table, whether they’ve been assigned categories or not, so I picked the record review layout and connected it to the main item table. Hi everyone, I’m working on a table where there are two checkbox fields (yes and no) for each record (employee). I would like to track the total number checked on each checkbox field from all the records. So the total amount of yes and no selected by the employees. There are 100 records (employees) in total. I’m building a credit card base where we store expiration dates. One formula will simply tell us that a card is set to expire (aka when status is “Expiring”) within the month. At this point I have an automation set to email client with expiring card message. Now I’m trying to set up a second automation triggered by a formula field to let me know what the card is now “Expired”. So far this formula works to tell me if the card is Expiring or Valid. IF({Expiration Date}<TODAY(),“Expiring”,“Valid”) However now I want to add an “Expired” status too. Yet when I do this entire formula it doesn’t work. IF({Expiration Date}<TODAY(),“Expiring”,“Valid”), (IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{Expiration Date},‘days’) > 30, ‘Expired’)) What am I doing incorrectly?

Continuing to work on a base for automated emails regarding expired credit cards. @Ben.Young already helped me with a formula field, but now as I take the next steps into automated emails I’ve hit a weird issue. As part of my automated message I want to include a link to our blank fillable Credit Card Authorization PDF. So I found the amazing script for converting attachments to urls, executed the script, filled my new form link field with URLs (formatted as long text), however when I attempt to enter this field as dynamic data in my automation it isn’t showing the URL.

Hi guys! New user here, feel like this should be a simple one but just can’t figure it out. I have a table for Athletes and a table for their AthleteRecords. On the AthleteRecords table each record has an ID, and lists the Athletes schools (HS and College). I have a field in the Athlete table that is set to the ID of the most recent AthleteRecord for that athlete, and I would like to pull the SchoolType field from the AthleteRecords table that matches that ID and set it to a field in the Athlete table. This way I can have a field in the athlete table that shows the athletes “Current School Level” based on their most recent school entry. Thank you for the help I cant figure this one out!

Hi Airtable Community, I have created new fields and an automation to allow me to automatically send out an email and Teams message 2 days prior to an observed holiday in our Company Calendar table. I have successfully figured out the date when the automation should fire, but now I’d like to take it a step further and ensure that it goes out at 9:00AM EST on the reminder date. Here are the relevant details: I have a formula field called “Remind Today?” that will either be set to “Yes” or “No”. Formula: IF(Category=“Observed Holiday”,IF({Reminder Date}=TODAY(),“Yes”,“No”),“”) ‘Reminder Date’ is a formula field. In the Formatting tab, I’ve selected “Date Format” = Local, Include Time, 12 Hr format, and use the same time zone (GMT) for all users. Automation triggers on conditions: Category = “Observed Holiday” and “Remind Today?” = “Yes”. Since the ‘Remind Date’ field shows a date with time = “12:00am”, I thought the automation would fire at midnight, but it actually fired at 8:52pm t

Hello community! I’m trying to implement a simple badge system within an volunteer program. Basically, when volunteers pass certain checkpoints I’d like to award them a badge e.g. ran workshop X >> badge 1 ten total workshops >> badge 2 The pivot table extension creates a visualization of what I want to do where… row = volunteer name and columns = count of each workshop But I want this to perform this calculation within the base itself (perhaps using arrays in a formula field?) with badges being awarded via once certain conditions are satisfied. If there’s anyone out there that thinks they might be able to help but don’t yet have enough information pls let me know and I would be happy to try and explain further. Thanks very much, Alex
