Hello community, I’m using Zapier to send data from other apps to Airtable The zap starts with a CRM called Streak, it includes a variable “company helper” with value “Diamir” The Airtable action is writing “company helper” into the “company” field: The data in is correctly shown “Diamir”. But the data out becomes “recPLcGiYMFsYsWPT” Which equals FIT and not Diamir Can someone help illuminate me as to what may cause the difference between in and output? Thanks!

Hi guys, Need your help in scripting. I want to concatenate month and templateName to another table using scripts as individual records. My desired output is e.g. templateMonth; templateName 2022-01; HD-HD1460, TR144 | 1 x RM-HD 2022-01; HD-WHITE | 5 x RM-HD, 1 x RM-WHITE How do I achieve this using a button? Thanks.

For example you send a form to a client, they complete, save and send the form back with only half the information. They are then able to revisit that same form link at a later stage and see the fields that they can then complete at that later point in time? Thanks Brian

I’m trying to bulk upload records from an excel file. the columns match. but whenever i finalize the upload, airtable creates my new records AND it also creates a boatload of blank records. this is particularly irritating because i am doing an initial upload of many records into a table that has automations that create records in a different table whenever records are created in the current table. so now i have to delete the blank records from the one table, and go delete the blank records from the other table too. is there a way to set limits on what airtable imports from excel? i assumed it would stop importing when there wasn’t data in the cells. but this is not the case.

High-level explanation: I have a multi-stage project process that I am starting to build in Airtable that I am curious if am automation is possible, where a button can automatically create tasks from templates as you work through a project. Details: Currently my process has 2 main components, the Submission/Review process and the Launch process, with a task table for each process linked respectively. The tables are laid out like this: Submission/Review Captures new requests from a form and has data fields for review steps Fields related to this automation: Vendor; single line text (primary field) Stage; single choice Assigned to; collaborator Stage tasks created; multi-select with same options as Stage Submission/Review Tasks Houses the standard tasks for each

If I am over my extensions limit, do I need to delete them from my dashboard, or can I simply disable them? I have some that I use very infrequently, but I’d like to keep them around if possible, enable them when I need them, and then disable again.

I seem to have access to a new feature that let’s me build a filter based on an exact linked record object. But the way I get access to it seems to be a bug. If I try to build a filter by chosing a linked record field, I only have the options of [‘contains’, ‘does not contain’, ‘is empty’, ‘is not empty’]. However if I start my filter on a different field type, such as a formula or text field, I can chose the filter option ‘is’. Once I have selected ‘is’, if I then change my filtered field back to a linked record, I have a new option to filter my linked records with ‘is exactly’, and I am presented with a standard lookup list to choose from. Unless I have missed something, this is a huge new feature that I can put to good use. I have added some screenshots, let me know if others have the same thing.

Hello everyone, I am having an issue with a pretty simple if statement with !=blank(): If({Date}=blank(), “Blank”, “Not blank”) - this returns “Blank” if the field is blank and “Not blank” if there is something is entered - as it should If({Date}!=blank(), “Blank”, “Not blank”) - this returns “Blank” no matter if the field is empty or not Am I missing something? I am creating standard project tasks from a template and am stuck with writing a formula that creates a comma-separated text string from the names of linked records but also adds the project name to the front of each record name in order to make it a unique name. For example: my linked template records are Cat Dog Cow and the projects are Project 1, Project 2, etc. I want the resulting field to be Project 1 - Cat, Project 1 - Dog, Project 1 - Cow, and so forth. That way the “Cat” in project 1 is a unique record from the “Cat” in project 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all! I have a formula field that calculates a variety of numbers into an average and then translate them into star ratings, here: REPT("⭐", ROUND(AVERAGE(IF({Overall Review NUMBER not accepting 0 rating (from Reviews)}, {Overall Review NUMBER not accepting 0 rating (from Reviews)}, 0)), 0)) This works great, except when there is no star rating submitted, then the “number” is seen as NaN, and the formula spits out “#ERROR!” Can anyone help update this formula to say: if result=“#ERROR!” then leave field blank ? IF it really needs to be done in the number sequence calculation step, I’ll give you that info: My formula for creating the number sequence in “Overall Review NUMBER not accepting 0 rating (from Reviews)” from above is this: AVERAGE({Work/Life Balance}, {Pay & Benefits}, {Culture & Values}) I previously tried to turn NaN into 0, but then it factored in “0” into my average, which I don’t want because it brings the average down inappropriately. I have imported this list into a table but would now like to create a separate table for just my contact at the store so that i can put more information (email, cell, social media). Is there a way to do this?

Hi, struggling with a formula / best approach for calculating dates based on a condition. Fields in scope are as follows: Meeting Type = Single select option Date = Date Meeting to take place Request for information = calculated date based on meeting type selected. So if for meeting type I choose ‘x’ I want request for information to populate a date 8 days prior to the ‘date’ field (which is already populated with a date) If for meeting type I choose ‘y’ I want request for information to populate a date 11 days prior to the ‘date’ field within the request for information field. Previously the calculated dates were identical regardless of ‘meeting type’ and the ‘DATEADD’ formula worked fine. Now I need to make it conditional, I cannot seem to get an if statement formula working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Newbie here (with the obligatory “newbie here” intro lol): I have a problem I can’t seem to solve despite reading multiple version of what I think are similar problems with solutions that don’t seem to work. I will try and describe what I have and what I want: I am an artist looking to track collectors and paintings. I have successfully created 2 bases: 1. Base 1, Artwork: This base contains 3 tables. Each table is a category of art. Each table contains title, price, availability (sold or not) etc. 2. Base 2, Clients & Collectors: 1 table with list of clients and fields that include name, address etc. Successfully implemented: The bases are synced. In base 1 of Artwork is has a table that is a shared view from the client base. In each art work table I have linked a corresponding client. So if I go to Base 1 Artwork, go to the Landscape table, go to a painting that is sold, I can see who the collector is. If I open a collectors record I can see all the paintings they have purchased

Hello all, my Friday afternoon brain just can’t get my head around this. I have a large database set up for our members and need to add new functionality to it. I have duplicated the base to try and nut it out. I need a column that is for ‘past groups’, of which people could have been in several. I then need another column that relates to current or non current member based on these groups. So Member 1 was in group 1, group 2, group 3 Member 2 was in group 2, group 3, group 4 Member 3 was in group 4 if group 1 ended 2016, group 2 ended 2020, group 3 ends 2022 and group 4 ends 2023 So the current member should only be showing yes if the member is in either group 3 or 4 I am not even sure if that makes sense. I need to set up a view for current members but don’t want to manually change each, I need a way to automate it based on the group they are in. I have tried looking at classroom-type databases, but just can’t work out how to automate that current & past option based on a group d

I’m using a Timesheets table to record employee timesheets. I’m then using an Employees table to rollup the ‘Time Worked’ durations. I only want to see the ‘Time Worked’ for today. I have my rollup conditions set as follows: “only show linked records from the Timesheets table that meet certain conditions: Date is today” However, I’m in Sydney Australia which is +10 hours GMT. I don’t see any way of offsetting this time (as it’s only a filter within a rollup field). How can I make the rollup filter ‘today’ line-up with Sydney’s ‘today’?

Hello! I’m looking to create a “Daily Company Dollar Report” using interfaces. So far it’s been great showing projected and closed orders and revenue and popular servies… however, I just realized these will show “to date” records. We would like to look at this daily to see where we are for the month. Is there a way to filter the elements to show me records from x/1/2022 to x/31(28 or 30)/2022 to show THIS month’s status?? I see you can filter “in the past month” but if I’m on 6/15, that’ll show me data from 5/15-6/15 not 6/1-6/15. I don’t want to have to update the filter every month either… a “since beginning of the month” to “end of the month” would be GREAT, but I don’t see that filter or work around just yet. Thank you!

Hi everybody! Google Docs automation works for me, but lacks some flexibility. For example, I generate meeting notes digest and would like to add a Date when document was generated in a Title of the document. There is a token TIME which allows inserting complete time, but I have no idea how to format it or truncate unneeded time part. Any ideas how to workaround this? Regards, Andrey

Hi - I’m looking to do an if and statement with two dates. If between X and Y date, then label it as “A” else “B”. But I am having trouble with finding the date value equivalent in airtable. In Excel I would do: IF(AND(CELL1>=DATEVALUE(“04/01/2020”), CELL2<=DATEVALUE(“03/31/2021”)),“FY21”, " ") But I can’t find the equivilant of that in airtable. Hi everyone! I am trying to create a formula to figure out an individual’s age when they graduated from our program. I have their date of birth and the graduation year.

I’m trying to set up an automation that will send an email reminder at a later date to complete a task. I have set up one column with “Due Date” another as “Today” and a third as “Send”. I have set up the following formula that when “Due Date” = “Today” it should put an “X” in the “Send” column. My automation is set to send the email when the “Send” field is updated with an X in it. Here is the formula: IF({Due Date} = {Today},“X”) It did not work. I also tried: IF(IS_SAME({Due Date},TODAY()),“X”) That didn’t work either. Just to test it, I tried: IF(IS_SAME({Due Date},TODAY()),“X”,“Y”) and then all the columns filled with Y, even the one where the Due Date matched Today. ???

Ok this seems pretty simple, but I just can’t get my head around it. I am new to formulas, so get the basics, but want to move beyond. Fields are - Member, Age, Clearance, Expiry, Valid, Current Member, Needs attention. Basically, if the Valid field is ‘not valid’ and the current member is ‘yes’ then the needs attention should be ‘yes’ However, if the member is not yet 18 then clearance etc is not required. So far I have IF( Age<18,“Not Required”, IF(AND(Age>17, Clearance,Expiry), “Valid”, “Not Valid”)) But I would like it to only be valid if the Expiry is after ‘today’. I really don’t know if I am explaining it well. I have created an example table here to help explain.

Hi all, Hoping to get some ideas on the best way to structure my base to achieve the concept below. I work with property development projects, and use one row for each project (as in the first pic below). Some projects will have more than one dwelling built on it. Each dwelling on a site might have different characteristics (ie. number of bedrooms). Therefore also being able to separate each project into individual dwellings would also be helpful. I’ve set up this second pic manually to demonstrate the sort of thing I’m after, but I’m looking for a way of achieving this automatically. Is there a way to achieve this? I don’t mind if it’s all within one table, or kept in a second table. Any solutions are appreciated. Many thanks in advance! Regards, AC
