Hi, struggling with a formula / best approach for calculating dates based on a condition. Fields in scope are as follows: Meeting Type = Single select option Date = Date Meeting to take place Request for information = calculated date based on meeting type selected. So if for meeting type I choose ‘x’ I want request for information to populate a date 8 days prior to the ‘date’ field (which is already populated with a date) If for meeting type I choose ‘y’ I want request for information to populate a date 11 days prior to the ‘date’ field within the request for information field. Previously the calculated dates were identical regardless of ‘meeting type’ and the ‘DATEADD’ formula worked fine. Now I need to make it conditional, I cannot seem to get an if statement formula working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Newbie here (with the obligatory “newbie here” intro lol): I have a problem I can’t seem to solve despite reading multiple version of what I think are similar problems with solutions that don’t seem to work. I will try and describe what I have and what I want: I am an artist looking to track collectors and paintings. I have successfully created 2 bases: 1. Base 1, Artwork: This base contains 3 tables. Each table is a category of art. Each table contains title, price, availability (sold or not) etc. 2. Base 2, Clients & Collectors: 1 table with list of clients and fields that include name, address etc. Successfully implemented: The bases are synced. In base 1 of Artwork is has a table that is a shared view from the client base. In each art work table I have linked a corresponding client. So if I go to Base 1 Artwork, go to the Landscape table, go to a painting that is sold, I can see who the collector is. If I open a collectors record I can see all the paintings they have purchased

Currently in REST API - Airtable for my base, I see this in description for creating a record: Your request body should include an array of up to 10 record objects. Each of these objects should have one key whose value is an inner object containing your record's cell values, keyed by either field name or field id. Hello all, my Friday afternoon brain just can’t get my head around this. I have a large database set up for our members and need to add new functionality to it. I have duplicated the base to try and nut it out. I need a column that is for ‘past groups’, of which people could have been in several. I then need another column that relates to current or non current member based on these groups. So Member 1 was in group 1, group 2, group 3 Member 2 was in group 2, group 3, group 4 Member 3 was in group 4 if group 1 ended 2016, group 2 ended 2020, group 3 ends 2022 and group 4 ends 2023 So the current member should only be showing yes if the member is in either group 3 or 4 I am not even sure if that makes sense. I need to set up a view for current members but don’t want to manually change each, I need a way to automate it based on the group they are in. I have tried looking at classroom-type databases, but just can’t work out how to automate that current & past option based on a group d

I’m using a Timesheets table to record employee timesheets. I’m then using an Employees table to rollup the ‘Time Worked’ durations. I only want to see the ‘Time Worked’ for today. I have my rollup conditions set as follows: “only show linked records from the Timesheets table that meet certain conditions: Date is today” However, I’m in Sydney Australia which is +10 hours GMT. I don’t see any way of offsetting this time (as it’s only a filter within a rollup field). How can I make the rollup filter ‘today’ line-up with Sydney’s ‘today’?

Hello! I’m looking to create a “Daily Company Dollar Report” using interfaces. So far it’s been great showing projected and closed orders and revenue and popular servies… however, I just realized these will show “to date” records. We would like to look at this daily to see where we are for the month. Is there a way to filter the elements to show me records from x/1/2022 to x/31(28 or 30)/2022 to show THIS month’s status?? I see you can filter “in the past month” but if I’m on 6/15, that’ll show me data from 5/15-6/15 not 6/1-6/15. I don’t want to have to update the filter every month either… a “since beginning of the month” to “end of the month” would be GREAT, but I don’t see that filter or work around just yet. Thank you!

Hi everybody! Google Docs automation works for me, but lacks some flexibility. For example, I generate meeting notes digest and would like to add a Date when document was generated in a Title of the document. There is a token TIME which allows inserting complete time, but I have no idea how to format it or truncate unneeded time part. Any ideas how to workaround this? Regards, Andrey

Hi - I’m looking to do an if and statement with two dates. If between X and Y date, then label it as “A” else “B”. But I am having trouble with finding the date value equivalent in airtable. Hi everyone! I am trying to create a formula to figure out an individual’s age when they graduated from our program. I have their date of birth and the graduation year.

I’m trying to set up an automation that will send an email reminder at a later date to complete a task. I have set up one column with “Due Date” another as “Today” and a third as “Send”. I have set up the following formula that when “Due Date” = “Today” it should put an “X” in the “Send” column. My automation is set to send the email when the “Send” field is updated with an X in it. Here is the formula: IF({Due Date} = {Today},“X”) It did not work. I also tried: IF(IS_SAME({Due Date},TODAY()),“X”) That didn’t work either. Just to test it, I tried: IF(IS_SAME({Due Date},TODAY()),“X”,“Y”) and then all the columns filled with Y, even the one where the Due Date matched Today. ???

Ok this seems pretty simple, but I just can’t get my head around it. I am new to formulas, so get the basics, but want to move beyond. Fields are - Member, Age, Clearance, Expiry, Valid, Current Member, Needs attention. Basically, if the Valid field is ‘not valid’ and the current member is ‘yes’ then the needs attention should be ‘yes’ However, if the member is not yet 18 then clearance etc is not required. So far I have IF( Age<18,“Not Required”, IF(AND(Age>17, Clearance,Expiry), “Valid”, “Not Valid”)) But I would like it to only be valid if the Expiry is after ‘today’. I really don’t know if I am explaining it well. I have created an example table here to help explain.

Hi all, Hoping to get some ideas on the best way to structure my base to achieve the concept below. I work with property development projects, and use one row for each project (as in the first pic below). Some projects will have more than one dwelling built on it. Each dwelling on a site might have different characteristics (ie. number of bedrooms). Therefore also being able to separate each project into individual dwellings would also be helpful. I’ve set up this second pic manually to demonstrate the sort of thing I’m after, but I’m looking for a way of achieving this automatically. Is there a way to achieve this? I don’t mind if it’s all within one table, or kept in a second table. Any solutions are appreciated. Many thanks in advance! Regards, AC

Hi, I’ve just started using Airtable. Here’s a list of what I have done and trying to do Imported a CSV of my credit card transactions and added a new column called category. Want to automatically fill in the category column with “KFC” when the transaction description contains the word KFC. Made an automation. See picture for settings I used: Now I have turned the automation on but it will not auto fill for category field for all the existing transactions I already imported from my CSV file. It only works if I test run it and select a matching transaction from the list that comes up. How to fix?

(I know, confusing) The problem is when there is not a matching “Record ID”, rather then giving me a value of null or undefined or 0. I launches an ERROR and breaks my script. Hi all, I’m using Rollup to find the latest date in a custom CRM. The Max(values) approach always works fine, but in this instance I cannot select “date” as an option under the format menu in Rollup. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance! Cheers, M

I have an app that requires users to add a user token, which it validates against the Gumroad API. But I’m seeing this error. Airtable has a document that introduces the new security policy New: tighter security and network access option for marketplace apps, but it doesn’t actually say how to make sure your app supports the new policy. Is it as simple as setting the Content Security Policy header to include https://api.gumroad.com/v2/licenses/verify?

Inside Airtable (Pro Plan), I click on Help > Message Support. There is no form that pops up, but a blue square with an x pops up. I can click it and it disappears. In Chrome, I do not have pop ups blocked. Is there another way to message support? Thanks in advance.

I have a field that contains either a single date, or a list of dates separated by comma. 2022-08-21 2023-05-01, 2023-06-01 I want to create two formulas: One that extracts the first date and compare it to another One that extracts the second date and compare it to another To do so, I first need to extract the date, and that’s where I’m stuck at the moment. I tried IF( REGEX_MATCH(dates & '', '^(\\d{4}-)(\\d{2}-)(\\d{2})'), REGEX_EXTRACT(dates & '', '^(\\d{4}-)(\\d{2}-)(\\d{2})'), BLANK() ) But I don’t get the expected result: 2023-05-01, 2023-06-01 > returns 2023- (expected 2023-05-01) I used Regex101 which made me assume this would work fine, I also checked on the forum and tried many variations but I don’t get it.

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to split a single pdf into multiple pages using Airtable. For example, if I add a 20 page pdf to Airtable, is there a way to have 20 rows of single page documents in Airtable automatically without uploading them separately? I’ve been searching for a solution and it seems like a simple issue but I cannot get it resolved. I am desperately seeking some help! When I scan a UPC barcode, the 12 digits appear in my barcode field. I want my table to automatically populate in another field the product that is associated with that barcode. We use barcodes internally for inventory management so none of them are registered. So, essentially, I just want AirTable to know that X series of 12 digits is X product. I tried using automations as my solution but that doesn’t work because I can only have 50 automations in my Pro plan and I need this to work on thousands of products. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!

Hi! Hoping if anyone can give me a few pointers, I wanted to create a unique description to a record when linked with another record in another table. The field in the original table is allowed to link multiple records. So… In Table1 it is a link record to Table2. When the user links a record in Table1 to one of the fields in Table2, I want them to populate some description thats unique to the Table1/Table2 connection. Asking the support I have been told this is not possible, but potentially I could script this somehow, but not sure how to do this? Not looking for the specific script but if anyone can give me an idea as to how to do it, would be very helpful! Thanks

I have a table with dates of vacant shifts (let’s call it “Vacancies”). I have a second table to collect form responses for folks who sign up to fill vacant shifts (“Sign-ups”). T he dates in the Vacancies table are set to the Friendly date format. In the Sign-ups table, there is a linked field to the Vacancies, so when a user completes a form, they can see the vacant shifts and select shifts to cover for… Now here’s the problem: when a user selects the drop-down of available dates, they are in this horrid format and I don’t see anywhere I can change it… Does anyone know how I can get the form to display the friendly date format or a form user? It feels silly that I haven’t found how to change it and, if I can’t, then this form isn’t going to work out to fulfill the function I need it for :frowning:
