In a table of orders, each order is related to a client. Is there a way to look/roll-up data from other orders of the same client on the same date?

For a table with organizations I have a field {funded by} which lists all the organizations the organization is funded by. These organizations come in three types listed in {organization type}: government agencies, businesses or nonprofits. Now on the basis of the field ‘funded by’ and the fact that each of the linked records in that field have a feature that specifies whether they are government agencies, businesses or nonprofits, I want to use formulas to create three separate fields, ‘funded by government agencies’, ‘funded by businesses’ and ‘funded by nonprofits’. So I’d like to use a kind of formula like “for each item in {funded by}, if its value in {organization type} is ‘business’ then add to this field {funded by these businesses}.” How can I best do this? Am I missing something obvious?

I recently asked for help in this community and someone shared two example bases with me to try and help answer my question. I am now trying to delete them but I have no option to do so. How do I get rid of these bases?

Hi there, I want to return a value of “Morning news” when the time from a live date falls between 5AM and 9AM. This needs to be irrespective of date, so I made a field that parses the time from the live date field. Currently I’ve got: IF(AND(VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({ADMIN - Time},‘Hmmss’)) <90100, VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({ADMIN - Time},‘Hmmss’)) >45900), “Morning news”, “Other”) But that’s returning an error. I tried it without the Value parameters too.

I’m trying to figure out this formula, which I based on a different formula that I got to work successfully, but am hitting a wall. Basically, I want the formula to reference 4 date fields (Edit Start, Format Start, Production Date/Time, and Ship Date). If there are values in any of those fields, I want it to return, as a string, the date, and either "Edit Start: ", "Format Start: ", "Production Start: ", and/or "Ship Date: " ahead of each date, as applicable. So, a full string with all dates filled in should look like: Edit Start: XX/XX/XX; Format Start: XX/XX/XX; Production Start: XX/XX/XX; Ship Date: XX/XX/XX However, one or more of these date fields may be empty at any given time, so I want the text string to adjust accordingly and not show the lead-in if the corresponding date field is empty. Hey all :wave: , I don’t find a solution for my stock tracking system. I have a database with all the products: Then I have a database with my orders to the suppliers linked to my product table. Each order has multiple products. Until this step is perfect. :ok_hand:t2: But I need to add quantity to each product :confused: 2 Items of X 3 Items of Y 1 Item of Z Do you know how I can add that? If I insert a general #number field is a quantity for the order and not for each product item. Thanks.

Hello, I am trying to create a prefilled form that automatically populates the current renewal date for a piece of software. I am running into an issue where the date that shows up in the form is exactly one day behind from what it should be and I can’t figure out why. As you can see in the above screenshots, the link generates with the date “2023-01-14” but shows up in the form as 2023-01-13. Any clues as to why this is occurring will be much appreciated! Hello, Airtable community. I would like to know how I can automatically add the records in Table A to a single record in Table B. I already connected the tables and what I want is that every time a new record is added in Table A, the records are automatically added to the connected field in Table B. I tried Automations, but I couldn’t figure out the process. I appreciate any guidance in advance.

How to remove the calendar-view’s button tooltip?

Hi all, I’m trying to email multiple people in a record with a button field. I’ve almost got it but when I can manage to get both email addresses to show up, they are joined together and the second email address is a bit off using a % instead of the @ (although I think if I could separate them it would resolve). This is what I’m using: “mailto:”& ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(ARRAYJOIN({Seller 1 email})& ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(ARRAYJOIN({Seller 2 Email}))) & “?subject=” & Property I’m trying to paste an image but I can’t see in this email draft… How do I get the addresses to be separated? I’ve tried all I know how to do, quotes, commas, semi colons…I’m at a loss. The other piece is the cc portion which I’ve only seen gmail examples and they aren’t working in a generic email. For example, if I have a User table, and inside this User table, I want to store an array of objects for every user about the videos the user has watched. Hi- We’re trying to get Airtable to sort a list of records by the most recent linked record. Basically, we want Airtable to ‘understand’ dates in a linked record. Here’s the basic flow: One table we have is the ‘Sponsor’ (advertiser) who has purchased a ‘Sponsorship’ (advertisement) The ‘Sponsor’ is linked to every individual ‘Sponsorship’ that it has bought Each individual Sponsorship is its own record, with a Date field as the primary field in the linked Table What we want is for Airtable to know what date a Sponsor’s most recent Sponsorship ran (or, what is the latest date of a Sponsorship linked to a particular Sponsor) With this, we’d be able to allow our users to sort by Sponsors who’ve run an ad recently (say, in the last 30 days) The problem is that even though each Sponsor has all its Sponsorships linked to it, I don’t see any way to get Airtable to use the linked Sponsorship records to sort Sponsors. Hi Airtable Community, With sample scripts that I found here, I was able to create a script to duplicate a record, and I’ve set up the script to run on a button. [So, thank you for all those how-to scripting posts!!] However, I was hoping to be able to limit access to the button, so that only the right people could click and run the script. But, on the button field the option to set “Edit field permissions” is grayed out. I know I can hide the button from certain views, but my users do know how to copy a locked view and hide/show whatever fields they want in their personal or collaborative view. Is there another way to prohibit who can click a button, since field-level permissions are not an option? Thanks for any help provided.

Hi, I’m currently developing a WhatsApp chatbot using Node.js. I’m implementing a functionality where the bot stores the specific responses from the users in airtable columns. But when I was going through the community I found out that it’s not yet possible to create columns programmatically. So for time being, I wrote a program that updates the field say Responses The problem I’m facing is when I call the update function it overwrites the existing record. Is there a way I can append the new value to the existing record without overwriting the old value?

Hello community, I’m using Zapier to send data from other apps to Airtable The zap starts with a CRM called Streak, it includes a variable “company helper” with value “Diamir” The Airtable action is writing “company helper” into the “company” field: The data in is correctly shown “Diamir”. But the data out becomes “recPLcGiYMFsYsWPT” Which equals FIT and not Diamir Can someone help illuminate me as to what may cause the difference between in and output? Thanks!

For example you send a form to a client, they complete, save and send the form back with only half the information. They are then able to revisit that same form link at a later stage and see the fields that they can then complete at that later point in time? Thanks Brian

I’m trying to bulk upload records from an excel file. the columns match. but whenever i finalize the upload, airtable creates my new records AND it also creates a boatload of blank records. this is particularly irritating because i am doing an initial upload of many records into a table that has automations that create records in a different table whenever records are created in the current table. so now i have to delete the blank records from the one table, and go delete the blank records from the other table too. is there a way to set limits on what airtable imports from excel? i assumed it would stop importing when there wasn’t data in the cells. but this is not the case.

High-level explanation: I have a multi-stage project process that I am starting to build in Airtable that I am curious if am automation is possible, where a button can automatically create tasks from templates as you work through a project. Details: Currently my process has 2 main components, the Submission/Review process and the Launch process, with a task table for each process linked respectively. If I am over my extensions limit, do I need to delete them from my dashboard, or can I simply disable them? I have some that I use very infrequently, but I’d like to keep them around if possible, enable them when I need them, and then disable again.

I seem to have access to a new feature that let’s me build a filter based on an exact linked record object. But the way I get access to it seems to be a bug. If I try to build a filter by chosing a linked record field, I only have the options of [‘contains’, ‘does not contain’, ‘is empty’, ‘is not empty’]. However if I start my filter on a different field type, such as a formula or text field, I can chose the filter option ‘is’. Once I have selected ‘is’, if I then change my filtered field back to a linked record, I have a new option to filter my linked records with ‘is exactly’, and I am presented with a standard lookup list to choose from. Unless I have missed something, this is a huge new feature that I can put to good use. I have added some screenshots, let me know if others have the same thing.

Hello everyone, I am having an issue with a pretty simple if statement with !=blank(): If({Date}=blank(), “Blank”, “Not blank”) - this returns “Blank” if the field is blank and “Not blank” if there is something is entered - as it should If({Date}!=blank(), “Blank”, “Not blank”) - this returns “Blank” no matter if the field is empty or not Am I missing something? I am creating standard project tasks from a template and am stuck with writing a formula that creates a comma-separated text string from the names of linked records but also adds the project name to the front of each record name in order to make it a unique name. For example: my linked template records are Cat Dog Cow and the projects are Project 1, Project 2, etc. I want the resulting field to be Project 1 - Cat, Project 1 - Dog, Project 1 - Cow, and so forth. That way the “Cat” in project 1 is a unique record from the “Cat” in project 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a formula field that calculates a variety of numbers into an average and then translate them into star ratings, here: REPT("⭐", ROUND(AVERAGE(IF({Overall Review NUMBER not accepting 0 rating (from Reviews)}, {Overall Review NUMBER not accepting 0 rating (from Reviews)}, 0)), 0)) This works great, except when there is no star rating submitted, then the “number” is seen as NaN, and the formula spits out “#ERROR!” Can anyone help update this formula to say: if result=“#ERROR!” then leave field blank ? IF it really needs to be done in the number sequence calculation step, I’ll give you that info: My formula for creating the number sequence in “Overall Review NUMBER not accepting 0 rating (from Reviews)” from above is this: AVERAGE({Work/Life Balance}, {Pay & Benefits}, {Culture & Values}) I previously tried to turn NaN into 0, but then it factored in “0” into my average, which I don’t want because it brings the average down inappropriately.
