Hello, i am setting up a Google Apps Script to update some records from our student information system. I was able to set up an array of records in the required format for patching the data in Airtable, i also got it to work, however whenever there are more than 10 records i get an error, so i am trying to figure out the best way to process them 10 at a time using plain JS or Google App Script. I was thinking of implementing a for loop to send a patch request for every record, but that did not seem like the smart way to do it. I wondering what was the best way to break it down 10 at a time Thanks Anto

Any ideas how to write an IF code for hotel VAT? I have 50 hotel nights showing in column {Nights} multiplied by the {nightly rate} @ £200/night = £10,000 VAT is calculated @ 20% on top of the first 28 nights and then @ 5% from the 29th night onwards. I would love a formula that can calculate this.

I need to create an IF statement that works with the following logic: If the value of column X is less than the value of column Y, it needs to return the value of column X. If the value of column X is greater than the value of column Y, the IF statement needs to subtract the value of column Y by the value of column X. Can someone please help?

Hello there, I’m trying to use automation for a particular case, with no luck so far, so I’m looking for some help here finally. I have several choices for a field, let’s say CompanyA, CompanyB, CompanyC. Now I’ve got another field, providing an URL, which is different for each A,B,C company (so 3 different URLs in this example). Now if I work on a particular record / line of my base, I’d like the URL cell to be automatically changed with a defined value depending on the company I choose in the Companies field. If I choose Company A, then the URL cell will automatically get the URL - A value, and so on. Any idea on how to achieve this, please ? Thanks in advance, Regards.

Hi there helpful community, I am currently facing the following issue: I have a list of requests from customers that I map to retailers in their area. I successfully calculate the distance between each customer and each retailer using the Google Maps Distance API. Now, I would like to automatically calculate the order of those distances, e.g. 1 = closest; 2 = 2nd closest, etc. I simulated this in the screenshot below. Instead of me assigning those numbers (1-3 in this example), I would like to calculate this automatically for all requests. Do you have any solutions in mind? In Excel this could be achieved by the rank formula I believe…

Greetings, I’ve created a simple base to calculate my stock (vapes) that i’ve ordered. However i am running into an issue. I have created three tabs (Current Stock, Sales (orders) and Orders from my Supplier). My issue is when i register a sale because when i put the items in product column (multiple records) the price at the “price column” shows only as 1$. If i only put one product then that is fine because the product is linked and the price shows okay but once i put multiple products on a single sale the price always remains the same. Hopefully i was clear enough and i can provide more context, info or pics if needed. Thank you,

I have a column named Day name which is a single select field containing names of day - Monday, Tuesday, etc. How can I create another column which gives the weekday number of this? I know I need to use Weekday() function, but how can I set it up such that it converts the string to work with Weekday() function? Thanks.

Hi fellow community members, In the Tool I am building to follow-up auctions, i created 2 tables: Table 1: “list of lots in auction” Table 2: “Price obs table” in which i made a link with Table 1 My target is, in table 1, to retrieve info from fields “Max Bid Price”, “Max Bid Calculation” and “No bid” fields from table 2 linked with the concerned record. Is it possible to do this? I’d like have an Airtable form with an attachment field, requiring someone to submit a CSV file (with info already filled out). The contents are then imported into an existing table with the contents mapped out accordingly? I’d have them fill out the contents with a form, but sometimes entries could be as much as 20+ … I checked MiniExtensions but didn’t find anything that would work for this use case. Help is appreciated.

Hi, I’m looking to solve something that is probably very basic. I have a master table that I’d like to bring in add’l data (size) into from Table 2 using the first column as the key. In this example, here is size data from table 2 that will be going over to the Master Table. In the Master Table, I’d like multi select fields with the data from Table 2. Hey everyone, quick question: I use a table to organize my various types of tasks and I have the records groups by the single select the shows what task type they belong to. It gets annoying getting to the bottom of the list of tasks for a specific task type and the group going away and having to re-add a record and update the single select to open that group again instead of hitting the plus at the bottom of the group to add a new record to the group. Is there any sort of like automation that can detect that a group is out of records and to add in a new one to just keep the group open? If not is there any sort of solution that you guys happen to know for this besides the kanban view? Thank you for any help!

Hi Anyone have any clever tips for removing special characters from text to make them filename firendly? For example < > { } ) ( etc. I could do it with a massive nested substitute formula but that seems clunky so hoping there is a cleverer way of doing it.

For a table with organizations I have a partner field that links back to the primary column itself. Suppose an organization has 10 partners and I put them in the Partner field, then all those organizations will get that one organization in their linked partner field. But I would like for them to get all the organizations in their partner field, ideally minus themselves. Thoughts on how to do that?

I would like to create a scoring system for climbing competitions using airbase. I’m having a lot of issues with this in general. And I’m sure that I’m not doing it efficiently. Essentially, I want to create a scoring system that can be inputted by multiple judges using one source of competitior names. But the judges won’t be able to put all of the scores of one competitor in at once. One judge will put one score in. And the next judge will put another score in. So I need the ability to update their records. Let’s say there will be 4 climbs. I would like one judge at each of the 4 climbs. The judge will choose the climbers name from a dropdown box and enter the scores (ie, top, zone, attempts to top, attempts to zone) on an airtable form. The judge on the next climb will also have the same form but will score for the next climb. 1.I created 1 table (named Summary) with all of the climbers and columns for the scores of each of the climbs. 2.I created another table (named Update

Not sure if this was covered before. I’m trying to use the datetime_diff function in a formula as a trigger to send out an email 5 minutes before the meeting starts. The problem is that this function is very sluggish to update. In other words it might be 10 or 15 minutes past the moment it should trigger before it refreshes and shows the correct difference in time. But by the time it updates it’s too late to send the email out. Is this a bug? Or is there a workaround? Thanks!

I know this is simple but I’m struggling for some reason. {Average Weight}/2000 * {Base Rate} + {Surcharge Calc} It adds the ‘Surcharge Calc’ which is a percentage just as a number. Hi folks, Formulas aren’t my strong suit, but I’m hoping there’s a way I can do this. Essentially, I’m helping my school manage teacher assignments, so I’m building a simple database to help me organize and visualize this data. I have two tables: 1 for Courses and 1 for Teachers. I have them linked together such that if in the Courses Table I type in a teacher’s name, then that course will show up on the Teacher’s tab (and vice versa). In the Course tab each course has a numerical value assigned to it based on the number of times per week they meet. What I would like is a column that tabulates the total number of periods assigned to a teacher that is calculated based on the courses assigned to that teacher. Does anyone have any formulas that can do it? I was hoping a lookup field would be a sneaky shortcut, but no luck. I’m using IF Statement with return numbers for two conditions: If it’s a car, one value, if it’s a motorcycle, another value. Everything is ok about that, however, when trying to multiply the presented result, it shows #ERROR!, how to solve it?
