We use Airtable for Work in Progress at our golf cart repair shop. We have numbered cones that we physically put on customer carts in for repair. My goal is to limit the number of units that come in for service to 20 units. I want to create a field on the service table that corresponds to the numbered cones. So I would match a service ID to a cone number. Ideally, I would like to use a single select and once I assign “1”, I would like that option to be unavailable for the other records on that table. Right now single select will allow me to keep selecting “1” for all of the records on that table. I also tried setting up the cones a separate table and using a linked field. That didn’t work either. Open to any suggestions! Thank you in advance!

I am creating an ordering system to help distribute items between multiple stores. I would like to have the option to attach quantities to individual items in the same order. Here is my order form as it stands. You can add multiple items to the record no problem but the way to attach the quantities to the items is not sustainable. Ideally, I want to be able to attach those quantities to the items themselves. Is this possible? Thanks for any and all help.

Hi guys We have several columns including ‘multiple select’ options within and wish to combine all these columns into one. Is there a way to do this across the entire table, or do we need to manually duplicate the options and then manually go through each record to combine everything? Many thanks in advance Harvey

Lat/Long Combined - Example: 18.194608875237545, -63.08524490907154 Latitude - Example: 18.194608875237545 Longitude - Example: -63.08524490907154 The formula I’m using in the {Latitude} column is: IF( FIND(",", {Lat/Long Combined}), LEFT({Lat/Long Combined}, FIND(",", {Lat/Long Combined})-1 ), {Lat/Long Combined} ) The formula I’m using in the {Longitude} column is: LEFT( RIGHT({Lat/Long Combined}, LEN({Lat/Long Combined}) - LEN({Latitude}) - 2 ), FIND( ",", RIGHT({Lat/Long Combined}, LEN({Lat/Long Combined}) - LEN({Latitude}) - 2 ) & "," )-1 ) When there isn’t a value in the {Lat/Long Combined} column, the {Latitude} fields are blank, but the {Longitude} column is populating #ERROR! Hi All, I have multiple schools participating in multiple programs. Each program has its own form. So, we would send school A a form for program A and a different form for program B. In an attempt to make the forms as simple as possible, we are not asking the schools to select the program, rather I want to use automations to update the program name (linked) depending on which form is being submitted. For example, School A has been invited to participating in Program X. They complete the form, then the automation enters “Program X” in the linked program field. I just copied the text from the primary field of the Programs table. I set up an initial automation with the first program we have, and it worked perfectly. Then, I set up a new form for the next program, and I duplicated the automation, retested the trigger using the new form, and updated the program name for the new program. (Again, copied from the primary field.) In this case, the automation fails, indicating and when i review

I have a datetime field that includes data that’s precise to the second. I’d like to filter records based on an accounting window that’s somewhat unusual (like 2pm Thursday to Thursday), rather than just Thursday to Wednesday for instance. I saw there’s an old forum question on this, but it’s about 5 years old. Is there any update on this topic? Hi, I am super new to Airtable scripts and I am stuck with trying to fix this error. It looks like I need to add the topLevelAwait module somewhere, but not sure where. So far what I did was to install the Hello-World app in my localhost and then replaced the contents of index.js with the contents of the [YouTube Example Script](https://airtable.com/marketplace/scraGQUFvORtvmHC5/import-youtube-analytics) since it does similar things to what I need and I would like to learn from it. The issue is that when I do a block release I am getting: ModuleParseError: Module parse failed: The top-level-await experiment is not enabled (set experiments.topLevelAwait: true to enabled it) File was processed with these loaders: * ../../../../usr/local/lib/node_modules/@airtable/blocks-cli/node_modules/babel-loader/lib/index.js You may need an additional loader to handle the result of these loaders. I am hoping for some help on a problem I have. :slightly_smiling_face: I have a Projects table and the following fields: Status: a single select field that is either Confirmed, Completed, Prospective, or Declined/Did not pursue 3 Date fields for recording when the single select field changes to Confirmed, Completed, or Declined/Did not Pursue. Each with historical data I don’t want to lose. I would like the following to happen but don’t know if I can do it in a formula or automation: When the status field is updated to be “Confirmed” → Record the date in Date Confirmed When the status field is updated to be “Completed” → Record the date in Date of Completion When the status field is updated to be “Declined/Did not pursue” → Record the date in Date Declined Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Hey all! I have a simple bar chart I want to show the total count (Y axis) for a given formula field. My view grouping does this very well, but when represented as X-axis in my chart, the chart app adds a parenthesis value to the label unexpectedly, growing the number of X-axis values significantly. Attached is view of values (only 7 unique values for X) and how they’re being messed with in the chart. Chart settings added as well. Any advice is greatly appreciated in advance, thanks!

Hi, I am creating an automation that will have several conditional Actions, but I can’t seem to get past the first condition. My trigger is a view, and when I test my trigger I can see the specific field I want to use in my action condition, but when I test the condition I get an error. Here are the details: The field that I want to use in my condition is a formula field and contains text, e.g. “John Doe”, and I see this value “John Doe” when examining the result of testing my trigger. The name of this field is “Account Lead” I have no actions that run for all records While setting up my first conditional action, I set my condition as “If ‘Account Lead’ is John Doe” where I select the field ‘Account Lead’ from the trigger action, and type in “John Doe”. I have also tried using “contains” instead of “is” but I get the same failed result. When I test this condition, I selected “Use input from previous steps”, and click “Test Conditions”. I get the message in red “An error occ

I am not sure if this is possible in Airtable or if it would required Zapier or other integrations (which I am open to!), but here it goes. We are trying to find a way to automatically combine and send records on a monthly basis. These people submit responses for each project they are working on, so we want to combine all of those project responses together and send them one email that has the status of all of them. In the above screenshot, we would want to send records 1-5 to Alan, 6-7 to Alison, etc. Right now we do this by hand by selecting each record, right clicking on the checkbox and then selecting the Email option. We would like to find a way to automate this process. We do not want people to get individual emails, as sometimes there are a lot of individual items, so it is important that the records get combined and then sent. I looked into the SendGrid integration, but that would send individual emails. I feel like there would be a way to do this with Airtable automations or

Hi, I have two triggers = When a record is created When a record matches some condition I want same automation script to run whenever any one of the above points are triggered. Is there any way to do this? Ex: If “New record is created” OR “Record matches some condition” → Run the automation. PS= I don’t want to create two same automations for each trigger, I want this in single automation. Thank you

When the Start date field and End date field are the same, records DO NOT appear in the Timeline\Day timescale, but DO appear in views bigger than Timeline\Day. Setting the End at ‘Start + 1 minute’ makes it work- but yuk! Is this by design- to be completely invisible in ‘Day’?

I have a field that is called Re-Exam date. Each Re-exam date is the first of a month in a year. I want to count the total number records of the Current Re-Exam Date (the current month), Next Re-Exam Date (Next month), and the previous month Re-Exam Date. So let’s say a person had: 20 Re-Exams for the Re-Exam Date of 4/1/2022 14 Re-Exams for the Re-Exam Date of 5/1/2022 8 Re-Exams for the Re-Exam Date of 6/1/2022. I can total these in a formula to 42. And when the current month is 6/1/2022, the window shifts so I get the total of 5/1/2022, 6/1/2022, and 7/1/2022.

Hello! I have a table that has multiple single select fields with the options of “Complete”, “In Progress”, and “To Do.” I was wondering if there was a formula to count the number of fields with “Complete” as the selected option and turn that into a percent complete of all the tasks. Thank you!

I am trying to count the number of key phrases in a list (text field). I found help on Split Text to Columns on how to count words, but am wondering if I can adapt the formula in such a way that counts phrases instead? Here are some screenshots! In the first image I would like record 1 to have a word count of 2 rather than 4. The second image shows the current word count formula.

Hey all! Anyone have experience using conditional logic in the Airtable Forms view? I am using it currently to conditionally show a field based on the input of the type of product category the user filling out the form selects (to help skinny down the list of options for the user). It works brilliantly except one important piece: The user can select from 12 different categories. If the user doesn’t select the category in the field I just conditionally defined nothing shows up from that field for the other 11 categories (which I have as a linked field to another table so that it autopopulates all the options that a user can apply). Short of creating 11 other linked fields – is there a way to “duplicate” or copy the field I defined and just switch the condition to show the different options for one of the other 11 selected categories (i.e., the else conditions?) Hi there, I am looking for a way to create an automation that every time a new record has been created, finds records and then creates separate(!) new record for each match. I am trying to match requests with retailers and there are usually several retailers that match a certain request. Therefore I would like to create another table that has a separate row for each match. So far I only manage to get a table with multiple records in the retailers columns (even though the field properties do not allow multiple matches). Any ideas? Thank you! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello, I use an easy airtable script for the autonumber. The problem is that it works for one table but not for a second or third table. Do you have an idea ? Is there an error? I keep checking but fields and everything seems correct to me. Thank you for your answer Mélissa

Hello lovely community! I have a table [Assets] with new entries being created based on video assets in a dropbox via a make(integromat) integration. thats working nicely. each file ends with a version tag “_v2205181930” which is _v YY MM DD hh mm - which i can extract, read and convert to a date format that airtable understands. each file auto-links itself to an entry in a [Main] table using a 3 digit ID number. this also works nicely. if i have two entries in [Assets] 101_SomeRandomWords_v2205181930.mov 101_SomeRandomWords_v2205182000.mov both linked to entry “101” in [Main] i want for any entry in [Main] that has more than one linked asset, to compare the date tag in each, find which is the newest and for any older entires tick a checkbox column called “Old” I cannot for the life of me work out how to achieve this having tried mutiple formulas, lookups, rollups and even poked aorund at scripting [not my area of expertise] Thank you

Hello everyone! In my airtable base system we have several bases where we receive different work orders, we have used synced tables to merge all of the work orders inside of one bases creating our “root files.” I have created automations to take the information from the synced tables and add them to a regular table inside of our root files base. I then go into the synced tables, and link the record back to the record that was created via the automation. I was wondering how would I use the automation to automatically link the records removing my involvement altogether.
