Hi there :slightly_smiling_face: I’m trying to batch update a date field in a specific view. The new dates are coming from a formula field (I’ve assumed the output of the formula field in the scripting app is a date because it’s formatted as such in the table). It runs with no errors but the dates aren’t actually being updated in the table and I’m not sure why. If anyone can pick up from my code why it isn’t updating, I would really appreciate it.

So I have a multi-select field that has about 50 or so options. I want to take those options and surround them with quotation marks, separated by a comma. I tried using the SUBSTITUTE, but I couldn’t get it to work the way I wanted without duplicating the field a few times. I did something similar to below, but now I have three extra columns in my table…heh. SUBSTITUTE({Calculation},", ",",\\"") I am wanting to take this: and turn it into this: [“Pet Doll”,“Chubby”,“Child”,“Wings”,“Horns”,“Round Face”,“Pointed Ears”] Complete with brackets on each end. How would I go about doing this? I don’t know if scripting will work because I’m trying to import my airtable into another service and in order for those choices to be recognized as tags, they have to be formatted as you see above. So the field has to have that data in it. I have hundreds and hundreds of rows, so doing it by hand is not an option.

Hi, I was wondering: Do all scripting apps count against my app limit of my plan? For example in Pro Plan => 10 apps per base So when I have 10 scripting blocks inside one base I am already on the limit? If so, does the fact, that there are 2 paying users change this limit to 20? I want to send a message to a Slack channel based on the message in an airtable cell. And I want it to trigger when its the date in another column. I can’t seem to find an automation in Airtable or Zapier that triggers on a certain date, just at regular intervals (daily, weekly, etc) Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

I have a single select field, and a rollup field which contains a formula that references the single select field. Now I remove 1 option from the single select field. The formula of the rollup field is now broken because it references this deleted select option. Airtable did not stop me from removing that select option (although it warned me about the dangers of me deleting the option). Airtable does show that the rollup formula is now broken by adding a red indicator to the field. The problem I have is that the two fields where in different tables, so it took me quite some time before I noticed the problem. So here comes the question: is there a way to get a list of broken fields in a base? Either through the web UI or through the Airtable API? That way, I could query this once in a while to verify nothing is broken.

Hi Community, I’m having trouble creating a nested if statement, where the condition is to identify two options from the field “Financial End Year Date” (single select field), and return two different values (for ‘December 31’ data - return ‘8/15/2022’, and for ‘March 31’ data - return ‘11/15/2022’, and if neither, return ‘4/30/2022’. The nested if formula I created and tried is as below: IF({Financial End Year Date}=“December 31”,“8/15”&"/"&YEAR(NOW()),{Financial End Year Date}=“March 31”,“11/15”&"/"&YEAR(NOW()),“4/30”&"/"&YEAR(NOW())) When I run this formula, the field shows either “8/15/2022” or “true”, where the “true” should instead be “11/15/2022”. For the ‘neither’ options, it returns a blank cell. What’s more confusing is, after I save the formula and click the configuration again, the formula is automatically corrected to below: IF({Financial End Year Date}=“December 31”,“8/15”&"/"&YEAR(NOW()),{Financial End Year Date}=“March 31”) Could anyo

I have three separate filters set up on record view, however they don’t seem to be working correctly. In the attached, I’ve set the Estimators filter to display results for records that have no Estimator assigned. However, records with Estimators are still being displayed. I presume the Type filter (second filter) is taking precedence over the Estimators filter? All three filters are set as the default ‘Where’ action; it doesn’t give me the option to change this, only add additional conditions to each. Any help appreciated, TIA!

Hi there :slightly_smiling_face: I’m new to coding and Airtable and I need some assistance. My script is to update a record with user input. The issue I’m running into is in line 7. The script runs but I’m assuming it is this error that stops it from actually updating the cell. I understand the error but I’m just not sure how to remedy it. I’d also like to know how to output the new_date variable within the text output line above it.

In my base , I have contract end date column and status column which many values such as active, progress, inactive, done, started, not started yet. when status changed from only these active, progress, started to done contract date should fill-up automatically. Is this possible. If so, please help me.

Hi everyone ! Here is my problem: I have a table that consists of two columns → 1: Company // 2: Company logo. On another table, I upload company information like name, location, revenue, etc (about 1000 records for each upload). The thing I would like to do is tell Airtable to upload a logo to the 2nd table opposite the company name as I could have done in Excel with a Vlookup function. The problem is that on Airtable, before doing a Vlookup function, I have to link to another record, which takes a lot of time as I have to do it for each record… Can someone help me? :slightly_smiling_face:

hello, i am trying to do some basic count using formula (i think its basic). there are 5 columns (named “name”,“rozmer1_cm”,“rozmer2_cm”,rozmer3_cm" and “vaha_kg”) what i want to do is formula, which will get those results: if all “rozmerX” < 50 and vaha_kg * 1000 <250, than its “M1” have found it to make it this way: which is working fine. BUT than i need to do if all “rozmerX” < 50 and vaha_kg * 1000 >250 and <=500, than its “M2” there are many other conditions, but i cannot go over the condition “vaha_kg*1000 >250 and <=500” have read the basics of formula, but i cannot apply it to my case (i know, its stupid). I have an automation that I need to count all records that meet a certain criteria. The number of records that meet this criteria exceeds 100, so the find records tool isn’t useful. There is a scripting block in the automation and I would like to count them there, but I’m not seeing an easy way to do this. I only need the step to return the count of records that meet the criteria, not the actual records themselves. Has anybody done something similar? Ideally I could make a view with the criteria filtered and then have the scripting step return the number of records in the view, but I don’t see any documentation for a function to fetch record count within a view in the API docs. Also don’t see a way to use selectRecordsAsync with an offset to capture all records that meet a criteria instead of just the 100 allowed by the function as it currently exists. Any thoughts?

Hi, I’m designing a database to help manage my client base. I created a main table (let’s call it Table A), for the clients and other tables (table B, table C) for data that I measure over time. I need to make calculations (result = table B/Table C), but only with the last data entered in those tables (B and C). Is there a way to get only the last data entered for a given client?

Hi all! Not sure if anyone can answer my question here, but I’m a bit concerned about the updates to the Attachment URLs, and I wanted to make sure my team won’t be impacted. One of our use-cases for Airtable is to gather lists of users via an external submission through a form in Airtable. As I understand it, this change will only impact/expire the URL itself, and not the actual file, which will persist in our Airtable database. Can anyone confirm that it’s only the URL that will be expired? Thanks in advance!

I have events that are multiple hours long, and when I put a start and end date/time the calendar creates 2 events for one hour at the start and end of the event. For example, an event that goes from 7om - 9pm has a one hour long event from 7pm - 8pm and a one hour event from 9pm - 10pm. Is there a way to make the event a multiple hour block for the duration rather than 2, one hour events?

I have seen several posts with different solutions on how to sync the bases two ways, but none really to fit what I hope to do. So I have this one base where our leasing officers are tracking our lease-ups with one “Status” field used to track the Status of the process. One of the status is “W9 Review”. I created a special view where it is synced to another base where our Property Owner Data Manager will review the W9 and mark approval or denial. [I want it to be another base because our Data Manager has other unrelated tasks on their base that I want to keep separate from the other department] So I synced the base to the other table and added another field where they can mark approve or deny and also an attachment field where they can put in a form or document. I want these two additional fields to be then sync back to the other base upon approval, update the original base Status from “W9 Review” to “W9 Approved” based off of the trigger/automation/script set by the approval status o

Hey everyone! I had help with a formula not too long ago, and I’ve simply tweaked it to apply to other tables… but as of now, I’m not getting the results I need. Here’s the formula: IF( {Date}, IF( Date > TODAY(), IF( DATETIME_DIFF(Date, TODAY(), "days") <= 30, "30 days", "1 month", IF( DATETIME_DIFF({Date}, TODAY(), "days") <= 180, "180 days", "6 months" ) ), "Send 6 month status check email" ), "Send 30 day status check email" ) Every status is showing as “Send 6 month status check email” even if it’s within 30-days. Help? And can anyone offer resources for the clueless when it comes to building formulas (outside of the Airtable cheat sheet)? I would definitely appreciate the help.

Good Day I am setting up a customer base, Included in the fields is vehicle Information. The Car registration number, Make, Modle, Colour, 1st Contact, 1st Contact Phone, 1st Contact email, 2nd Contact, 2nd Contact Phone and 2nd contact email are all the fields that are for the registered person. The problem I am facing is that a person with more than one car has to register its registration number, make , Modle and colour. However the 1st and 2nd contact details remain the same. Is there a way of doing all of this in the fields without having to add the extra Information already entered

Hey! I was trying to group the weeks by the month, so like if I have a Date, I want to get the weeknum in which the date falls WITHIN that specific month only. Eg. - 1/6/22 - it should show as 1 - since it comes in 1st week of June. I read up and tried to use the following formula - MONTH(TODAY(WEEKNUM(NOW()))) However, its giving the output as 6(?!) I think its because its counting 26th May till 2nd June as a week. Is there any workaround to this please?

I have recently set up a form so that our customers can make booking based on available meeting times. Everything was working fine and suddenly the Time format on the form view has changed from DD/MM/YY hh:mm to yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss.sssZ I am unsure why the format has changed and how to amend it back to the original. Hello, Do you know how to link to records from two steps in one field in an automation? Right now it’s concatenating the records into one new record instead of linking to the two records separately. I’ve tried adding “,” and “;” or even just a space to no avail. Thank you for your help, Joachim
