Hello, I use an easy airtable script for the autonumber. The problem is that it works for one table but not for a second or third table. Do you have an idea ? Is there an error? I keep checking but fields and everything seems correct to me. Thank you for your answer Mélissa

Hi, I am designing a form that needs to have multiple items listed by the person completing that form. Currently it is set as a long text box but was wondering if this could be set up as a text box with 10 rows 3 columns for example?

Hello lovely community! I have a table [Assets] with new entries being created based on video assets in a dropbox via a make(integromat) integration. thats working nicely. each file ends with a version tag “_v2205181930” which is _v YY MM DD hh mm - which i can extract, read and convert to a date format that airtable understands. each file auto-links itself to an entry in a [Main] table using a 3 digit ID number. this also works nicely. if i have two entries in [Assets] 101_SomeRandomWords_v2205181930.mov 101_SomeRandomWords_v2205182000.mov both linked to entry “101” in [Main] i want for any entry in [Main] that has more than one linked asset, to compare the date tag in each, find which is the newest and for any older entires tick a checkbox column called “Old” I cannot for the life of me work out how to achieve this having tried mutiple formulas, lookups, rollups and even poked aorund at scripting [not my area of expertise] Thank you

Hello everyone! In my airtable base system we have several bases where we receive different work orders, we have used synced tables to merge all of the work orders inside of one bases creating our “root files.” I have created automations to take the information from the synced tables and add them to a regular table inside of our root files base. I then go into the synced tables, and link the record back to the record that was created via the automation. I was wondering how would I use the automation to automatically link the records removing my involvement altogether.

Hi, I’m putting together a base together with a list of therapeutic modalities on my y axis; and a multiple select field called ‘Presenting Issue’ on my x axis where I’m inputting the different presenting issues each therapy targets (e.g. CBT targets Phobias; Depression etc). I’ve a list of about 50 different therapies and would like to be have a view where I can look at the presenting issue and then see which therapy is ‘matched’ to the issue. I assume the best way to do this would be with a Kanban view, however Kanban doesn’t seem to work with a multiple select field. Any suggestions of how I can a Kanban to work, or perhaps a different method to achieve a similar outcome? Thanks in advance!

Good afternoon everyone. I’m trying to create a field that calculates the appropriate pay given the work type. In my case, there are 3 different work types, (1. Booked gig, Not booked gig, and Custom Rate). In case 1 where it’s a booked gig, the base pay is $125. If a team member surpasses $125 in sales, then they’ll receive a 20% commission on any sales after. (example, $500 revenue is generated, $500-125=$375*.2=$75+125=$200) In case 2, there is no base pay, but team-member makes 40% commission on all sales made. (example, $500 revenue generated, $500*.4=$200). In case 3, a custom rate is set and field is populated by custom rate given. I’ve been using the following formula, but my issue is that it’s still calculating the commission even if the commission benchmark is not reached for case 1. I’d like to ask for your help —> I need to be able to share a single Airtable record (e.g. form response) with people who are not Airtable users or collaborators, and to have it password protected. Up to now, I’ve done the following to share this information: Receive an online form response, Turn it into a PDF manually, Encrypt the PDF manually, Email it to my team member manually, and Send a separate email manually with the password to open the encrypted PDF. This is cumbersome and it is not scalable. Instead of doing all that, I would like your help so that I can: Share an individual Airtable record via email using a link to that specific record, Do not give access to the entire base through the link, only to the specific record, Password protect the individual record so the link isn’t public to the whole world (if it needed to be, this could be a single password for all the applications… having a unique URL + this kind of password has enough secur

Hi All, Very new to Airtable and need assistance on an automation if you can help. I have a form that populates a checkbox field. I need to email this field to someone showing the condition as either “Yes” or “No” but the field only shows a “True” or “False”. Is there any way I can do this? I have tried using a formula field to determine the result and change the it this way but the email shows a blank space where I expect the result to be (when calling the formula field). Hello! I’m trying to set up an automation where a birthday email goes out on the client’s birthday. I found the solution on changing their DOB to current year (thank you community!) however, I don’t want the emails to go out before 9 AM on the day of their birthday. So far I’m adding in the “time” of 9 AM manually in the birthday field but I can’t seem to figure it out from there. Thanks in advance for your help! Troy

Hello! I’m new to Formulas on. Airtable and would love some assistance. I have tried to figure this out through reading the channel and articles and watching videos. I haven’t found the right resource to help me so I’m hoping one of you can. I already have my NPS calculation on the bottom. I want to use the NPS formula and break it down by quarter and year. I already have a quarter and fiscal year conversion. I have tried multiple formulas and nothing seems to be working to add that into my NPS formula. Thank you!

I’m not sure this is possible. I’m trying to multiply the amount of an item by a range with an attached percentage. For example, if the fuel price is $5.00 then the range is $5.00 - $5.25 and the percentage is 2%. Then multiply the Freight Amount by the corresponding percentage of 2%. So in this scenario, Freight Amount is $100, Fuel Price is $5 so I would add 2% to the freight price for a fuel surcharge. I have Freight Amount Column, Fuel Price Column, Start Price, End Price and Percentage Columns Any ideas or work arounds would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everybody! Inside my base we have 10-digit codes for each of our users for passwords and such. I was wondering if I could somehow use a formula field to only show a select few digits of that code. Similar to a phone number when they send you a confirmation text you can only see the last four. I have a fetch that calls an API and adds all of the records to my table (Title, Date, Unique ID). That is good. Hello! I have a submission table that lists dates of a submission and an associated “office” to each submission. There can be multiple submissions a day to the same or multiple offices. I want to use a rollup to gather the number of unique dates per office, so that I have a calculation of the total days of submissions associated with each office. Is this possible? Thank you!

Hi, I want to be able to upload documents in one table. These documents are usually invoices and should be uploaded to the correct supplier. When I upload a new document, I want to create a new record in a different table, for each attachment that is being uploaded. Currently, when I run it it creates a new record but the new record contains previous uploaded attachments too. How can I ensure that it is only the latest uploaded attachment that is being created as a new record? When I bulk upload, it also creates only one record. The issue is that the formula assumes zero when DeStaging Date is blank, when in fact, I want to see the result from the rest of the formula to popup on my Google Calendar. What should I add? Hiii So I am trying to track checks and employees. I have an “Employees” table and I have a separate “Checks” table. They are linked. I was able to do a rollup for each employee to get the total amount they received no problem. My issue is I want my rollup to only show me the checks they received in 2021. I see a lot of the forums talking about SWITCH and IF stuff. But what I want is different. I want the formula to look at my dates, see which ones contain the year 2021, and then spit out the check amount so I can then do a rollup on each individual year. This may be way too complicated and I would love a better answer. But ideally, I want to be able to look at how much each employee made by year in the employee table and not just in the checks table. But as each check is individually added, it would need to add up all the checks of that year from the checks table.

Is it possible to create a new view automatically with scripting?

I have created a base for my companies therapists. I want our front desk to be able to filter the data to match clients up with therapists. I’m stumped on how to add the age ranges, as they vary greatly. Some therapists see ages 3-10, others 18+, or 25-40, etc. What I’m wanting is to be able to enter the clients age, 32 for example, and be able to filter out therapists that don’t work with that age. plz help

Hi there, I’m building an app separately and I’m using Airtable as my database. In my base, I have “categories”, “brands”, “products” and “inventory” tables, where the 4 tables have proper linked fields configured as one-to-many (inventory → products → brands → categories). I need to have an API that shows records from all 4 tables based on the linked fields and using filters. After reading different help topics, it seems that the way to do this is by creating view, but I understood that creating a view with linked fields is limited to maximum 2 tables (linked and linked to tables). How can I create a view (or an API) that retrieves data from all 4 tables? Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks Fouad
