Hi Everyone, First time posting a question here :slightly_smiling_face: I have a grid with different jobs, and I’d like to create a form for people to apply to the jobs posted. I’d like to enable people who submit the form to choose a job title and company from a dropdown. I’d also like the enable them to upload their CV and cover letter, but without it affecting the fields in the grid (I don’t want the grid to include the files). Once submitted I’d like an automated email to be sent to the employers with all the details of the applicant (I’ll have the relevant email for each company in the grid, so I’ll have to pull this data in the automation). Pour la mise en forme, lorsqu’on sélectionne un champ pour modifier sa taille par exemple, c’est la valeur de la précédente sélection qui reste affichée. Je ne sais pas si je suis très clair, pas facile à expliquer : je sélectionne un champ qui est en “taille 13” pour le modifier en “taille 16” lors de la sélection du champ suivant pour effectuer la même opération, le champ s’affiche en “taille 16” alors qu’il est toujours en “taille 13” et c’est vraiment pénible… déjà que Page Designer n’est pas très ergonomic ça le rend carrément ingérable. Hi there! I’ve set up the following formula in an effort to show either the data that is entered into the ‘Invoice Contact Overwrite’ field, or if that is blank, then to show whatever is in the ‘Company’ field. IF({Invoice Contact Overwrite}!=BLANK(),{Invoice Contact Overwrite},Company) This formula has been applied to a field called ‘Invoice Contact’, that’s where I want the result to show. In this case, the formula is only showing data that has been entered into the ‘Invoice Contact Overwrite’ field and for anything that doesn’t have any data, it is showing as blank, rather than adding the Company name. Am I missing something? We use a variation of this formula to create a ‘Final Fee’ by showing whatever is in our ‘OS Fee’ field, but if our ‘Fee Overwrite’ field has data entered, then the ‘Final Fee’ is updated to whatever is reflected in the ‘Fee Overwrite’ field. Hello, I’m new at scripting and have, I think, a basic question if someone can please help me. I want automate the creation of pre-filled fields with the script app. I’ve been able to run that successfully for basic ‘text strings’. But now I’m trying to add data to a field that is formatted with ‘duration format’ and I haven’t been able to make it work. The code I wrote was: //Ask for session duration var SessionDuration = await input.textAsync (‘Type the duration of this sessions’); //Create field and fill with duration let CrearRegistro = await ActivityTable.createRecordsAsync([ { fields:{ “DurationField”: Number(SessionDuration), }, } ]); And when I input data such as 30 or 60… the field always shows 0:01. I want to change a date field to a create date in a base that already has records in the base. When I do that, all the dates in that field get converted to today’s date. Is there a workaround to have today’s date added to a field when a new record is created without modifying the existing dates in the field?

I need to create and save my own custom base template for strictly personal use (i.e., not for sharing.) I need to create dozens of bases with the same exact schema (field structure). I can only find information on sharing bases, not on saving a custom base as a template for your own personal, repeat use.

I have a list of tasks in my table and a date range for each task. The date ranges are entered into two different columns, Start Date and End Date. Each of those are formatted as dates. I’d like another column to list all the months that are included in that ranges of dates. So for example, if Start Date is Jan 1, 2020 and End Date is April 30, 2020, I’d like the Months column to list Jan 20, Feb 20, March 20, April 20. Is there a formula for this?

Happy weekend all! So I have built myself two awesome automations: Creates 10 tasks for each record added Email me the list of ‘tasks’ for each new record added So when I ran the 1st automation it ran flawlessly! It was #2 that boogered me all up! It sent 10 emails for each new record… each with all 10 tasks listed beautifully! PROBLEM/OPPORTUNITY: The issue I am running into is that the 1st automation is running from where the new record lives. I found that if I add the ‘send email’ option with the same trigger, it emails an empty list (I’m guessing because it is sending the email before the list is populated). I’m sure this is an easy one, but Its been a loooong week already. As always, thanks for your time! DG

Hey y’all – I am working on a local school board campaign and looking to map both the precinct locations in our district as well as our yard sign locations to make sure we’re balancing visibility across the district. I’ve got a Precinct table with address, # of registered voters, # of voters in our universe, etc. as well as a Signs table with address, location type, sign size, etc. I’ve already created an Map app block to display sign locations which is working great, but I’d love to pull in the precinct locations onto the same map block so that we can visualize around those locations. Is this possible? Suggestions on how to do it? My clunky workaround is that I’ve just been adding the precincts in as sign locations and making them a different location type and color coding the markers, but I’d love to have a cleaner experience that maintains the precinct name from the precinct table. I might be overthinking, but would love suggestions!

Hello, I am trying to work with three levels of categories that each have their own totals. This is the way they should work. The top category has a sum of all the sub- and sub-sub categories, the secondary level sums itself and the tertiary categories. I realize that this is simple in Excel but it seems as though it might work with some linked fields. I have a budget entry table where you can select the three types of categories for each record, as applicable, And then I have tried various scenarios to get something similar to this table that has an overall total for the first category. Are there better ways to try and do this? Thank you for any help you can give!

I’m trying to workout a formula to identify a text field that starts with “The”, or “A”, and move the “The” or “A” to the end of the text string with a comma. So if the field said The Blue Book, I want it to say Blue Book, The Or at the very least I want to delete “The” or “A” from the start of the text string, but not from Elsewhere in the string. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

For some time now I use the attachment field to store images, and I had “show attachments in reversed order.” option toggled on. Now, I want to toggle off “show attachments in reversed order.”, but keep photos in same order. How can I accomplish that without doing it manually, since I have a loot of files and reccords? Hi all! I’m new to Airtable and trying to figure out how to pull multiple variables out of a single long text field. I’m pulling the Description from an event in Google Calendar and syncing it into a Description field in Airtable. This field will have some things defined in a predictable pattern, such as the Zoom URL, name of the presenter, etc. - each corresponding to a field that exists in Airtable. What is the best way to set this up to be parsed through in Airtable? Is there a tutorial out there that could point me in the right direction? Feel free to suggest something else if I’m going about this the wrong way. Thank you!

Hi there, I am creating a participation tracker that I can use for an upcoming project. The concept: There are 10 different groups, and each group can have 3-10 members. One “leadership” group contains at least one member from each of the other groups, so theoretically each member can belong to up to 2 groups. I have used a many-to-many relationship to link members to groups. Here is what I have: A table that lists all members with their group(s)(& other pertinent info) A table that lists all groups with their members (& other pertinent info) A table that lists all meetings with the members that attended and their group(s) as a lookup field A table that lists all emails and phone calls with the member they’re with and their group(s) as a lookup field What I need: identify how many times a group has participated in some way (meeting, email, or phone call) identify which groups did not attend each meeting identify how many meetings a group has attended A group “attends” a mee

So, a co-worker is leaving our company and she’s set up some Airtable workspaces for her duties. I’ll be helping to train her replacement and am considering moving my collection of Google sheets over to Airtable at the same time. There are some stumbling blocks I’m trying to work through that I don’t have answers for yet and I’m hoping some of you can point me in the right direction. Mostly the issues are coming from importing existing Google Sheets where I track television programs and all the data associated with them. Issues so far are as follows: In GS I have a column containing program titles. On the program titles I have a note that shows up when I hover over the cell. With 1500+ rows I don’t want to have to recreate all these notes. Is there a way to bring them in? I will be doing a lot of my work in AT in the Grid View. Hello! I am trying to set up a timesheet in Airtable and I want a formula or automation to assign a new pay period every two weeks. I don’t care if it is just a number (pay period= 1,2,3,4…etc.) or a single select field or something else! I just need to indicate a change in the default entry every two weeks. My first thought was to set up an automation and set the trigger as a scheduled time (every two weeks). But, I keep hitting a roadblock when trying to set up the action. I do not want to FIND, UPDATE, or even CREATE records… I just want the default field entry for new records to change every two weeks. In my mind, the sentence would be “Every two weeks, add 1 to the pay period number.” Any thoughts on how to get this done?? Thanks to anyone in advance!

I have a field called: Branch Name I need to extract text from it using a formula field. I’m just not sure how. Examples of data in the field: #2828 - Clarksville Branch - Clarksville, TN #4109 - Aiken Branch - Aiken, SC What I need to extract: Clarksville Branch Aiken Branch I tried this formula, but it doesn’t work (returns #ERROR!) and I don’t know enough about REGEX to troubleshoot: REGEX_MATCH({Branch Name}, '/(?<=-).*(?=-)/g')

I have one table that is a Roster of team members with various fields of data pertaining to each record. This table is imported for certain fields and other fields are manually imputed. The data on each record set has the potential to change at any given point. Changes are done manually. The second table is Synced data from an external source that contains some of the same data that is on the first table. I would like to setup a Validate field (checkbox) on the Roster table, this field will be checked if multiple data points (4 or 5 fields) matches exactly from the 2 different tables. Is there a way to compare this data across 2 different tables and if all matches correctly check the validation box? Additionally, if data changes in the Roster and now is different uncheck the box? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’d like to use Airtable to help me speed up the processes of responding to multiple RFP’s. Often a same or similar question is asked on multiple RFP’s. Rather than make a database I’d like to use Airtable to categorize and log the questions and answers that I often re-write from scratch each time. I would like to do a quick search in Airtable and and pull already answered questions or document content and pull it into a blank RFP template to partially automate the response process, and quickly access the questions Airtable database. Is this possible? Has anyone done it? Any know templates to start from? Hi I’m creating a tournament ranking system. I have a table for each tournament played and within each table, I list all the players and their individual scores and then their ranking position and ranking points for that tournament. On a separate “rankings” table, I list all the players and lookup their score, ranking points from each of the tournament table. I can then add the total ranking points across all tournaments and sort them by male/female/adult/senior categories. However, the end of season rankings after 8 tournaments will be based on a player’s best 5 results/points scores out of the eight events. Therefore, I need to take the 5 largest (not necessarily unique) points from the 8 fields. I’ve looked at various formulas to try and find the answer (similar to LARGE function in Excel), but I’m stumped. Does anyone know how to do this? Is the answer to structure my tables differently? I feel database design is always my downfall :frowning: Thanks in advance.

Hello again all, I believe there is another topic titled “Using Automations to Check a Box When Record Matches Conditions”. (I posted there but got no answer) That thread seemed to have strayed a little off track. Because while “Update Record” IS a condition that ‘could’ be used, it’s only one option. And the steps seem to be different for each “Action Type” selected. So, if someone could walk me through another one, like “When a Record is Created”, I would greatly appreciate it! So, WITH A SCREENSHOT (please), can someone please explain how to use an automation to check a box? I’m putting true, false, one’s and zero’s everywhere and nothing is working! I have built an automation that fires off an email to a key stake holder with information found in different fields. One of these fields contains a link. When the automation fires, the email is sent along with a slack notification. The slack notifaction contains the same information the email should, BUT the link in the email is altered by the automation and the link in the slack message seemingly works. The automation is grabbing the same URL from the same field. I am not sure why the URL is changes in the email but not the slack message. To add additional information, the email is removing the under-scores from the URL and the Slack message is not. Can anyone help?

Hello, So we have a “Survey Results” table that… wait for it… collects our “Survey Results”. It basically runs off an automation. The 'initial trigger is a checkmark in another table. When you tick the checkbox, the “Survey Results” table starts a new row by adding two items - a four-digit RO# and the subs email. Jotform then takes that information, and adds it to a form and sends it out. It then returns the results back to the “Survey Results” table… BUT IN A NEW ROW! This doesn’t seem that hard to figure out, but it sure has stumped me! Please advise, thanks DG
