I’m trying to establish a schedule of events for a multi-day event and it would be optimal to have the primary field with a concatenate formula read: CONCATENATE({Description (from Performer)}, " by ",{Performer}, " from ", {Start Time}, " to ", {End Time}) However, for Start and End times, I would love if ONLY the time (sans date) would show, because currently I have this mess showing: Classical String Duet by XYZ Strings Band from 2022-04-14T02:00:00.000Z to 2022-04-14T03:30:00.000Z TIA, Community!

Hi all, I’m trying to create a field that will use the data in the field shown to categorize each record into “private only,” “public only,” and “both private and public.” It seems like there should be a way to do this, but I’m stumped! If it’s helpful, the field shown is a double lookup. It is in a “programs” table, each program is linked to funders in the “funders” table, and each funder is designated private or public. I want to see which programs receive exclusively private support, exclusively public support, or both types of support. Thanks!

I’m trying to create an order form that calculates price (FORMULA column) by multiplying the SQ. FT. size of an item by the SQ. FT. PRICE of the material. The SQ. FT. column is a simple calculation done based on sizes input into the order form. The SQ. FT. PRICE column is a linked field value pulled in from a different table (based on the material part number). I keep getting #ERROR! on the calculation. The Error appears to be stemming from using a linked field value. Look at the second image below…when I change the formula to use a different value from the same table it calculates without an issue. Is this an odd occurrence or are you not able to use linked fields in formulas?

Hello! I have a formula with nested IF statements that works except that what I realize I actually need is to not have the logic stop when it finds 1 of the IF statements true, and actually continue on to validate the remaining IF statements. Hey Airtable Community, I am trying to create a roll up formula combination that is taking a list of values some of those are blank and only outputs a bulleted list of the filled in values. For Example: Right now I have tried: IF(COUNTA(values) >= 1, "• “) & ARRAYJOIN(values,”\n• ") This still outputs if there are empty values in the roll up. I have tried to also use the arraycompact() but then I have no way to use Substitute() to split up the values into a bulleted list. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi everyone, I have a table with created date column and some data, as soon as new record is created I have created a automation script the extracts the newly created record by sorting this column in descending order and getting the getting the first record by using query.records[0](which is the last record created, because it is in descending order). My question is, is there any way other than this to extract the latest record created? I also have a column that is auto increment id, I was thinking of extracting the highest value from this column as the latest record, but could not find how to find max value of column by writing in automation script. I have a base to keep track of tasks that need to be repeated every so often. I’ve been able to achieve this with the following formula, checking the modulus between today and the start date to see if it matches up with the repeat interval: IF(MOD(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{Start Date},'days'),{Repeat Interval (days)})=0,"Today is the day!","Not yet...") When the formula resolves to “Today is the day!”, an automation is triggered that creates an instance of the task on the to do list. The limitation to this is I have to put my repeat interval in days. How would I go about building a formula that does the same thing, but could handle different interval inputs, like every 2 weeks or every 18 months? I think I would need a number field and an interval field (e.g. 3 and "weeks"), then maybe a switch statement to handle the different cases? If anyone has any examples or could point me towards a tutorial, I would be most grateful.

Hello, I’m trying to create an automation that sends Slack messages to people when they are tagged for a task, but only if someone else is tagging them (I don’t want them to be notified every time they assign a task to themselves). How do I tell Airtable to send a Slack message to this person only if someone else tagged them? Field in question is a Linked Record field (“Lead”) that is connected to a table with names. This field is used by us to assign tasks to ourselves and other people. I’ve tried the following so far: Creating a Last Modified By field and setting up an automation that is triggered when a record matches conditions (Last Modified By isn’t [Name] and Lead is [same name]). I tested this with a coworker but it didn’t work. Creating a view for the person and adjusting the trigger for the automation to only run if a record enters their view. Hello, I’m having an issue with all of the automations I have running with Jira Cloud integration. The automations have all been functioning properly for the last couple of months, then today at a certain time they all of a sudden started throwing failures for unknown errors. Below is a recording of a couple of the automation’s setups and the errors and run history. One important note is that it IS creating the tickets (even though it says fail) but then it stops the proceeding steps and fails the automation. Recording of automations Important notes: no one made any changes to any automation that could have caused this (I am the only person who can do this and I wasn’t on the Airtable). I did a snapshot of the last time the one automation worked, and it still threw a fail. I have tried to reconnect the Jira Cloud with the automation, hasn’t changed anything… You’ll also see that the new marketing intake automation worked on the same day but then stopped working later that day. I have a field that needs translating into a form that can be used by a second program, but there are some 50-60 options that need translating and the IF statement got huge. Essentially it goes: IF Cell A = “Manager”, “X”, IF Cell A = “Worker”, “Y” … It only needs to be done once, so would it be possible to use a script? Hi Airtable team and community :)! First I want to thank the team for the awesome tool that is the Interface. I love using it (except for a few frustrations, namely the lack of a “duplicate” button or of the possibility to display fields instead of records as the x-axis in graphs). But my main concern today is the ability to share an interface. I just finished a Quarterly Reporting interface with KPIs of an incubator, and we want to share that with the executives of the school we depend on. For now, I understand there is no way to export the interface as a PDF or to share it with a link as a webpage instead of these busy important people having to create an Airtable account. I was wondering first if tricks exist to solve my problem overnight, and second if these features were planned? Many thanks in advance, and once again, congratulation for this amazing feature. I’m suspecting its to do with the number of ))) at the end as I have no clue why in the first condition it ended with ) and the second ended with ))) so have tried all number of them but they don’t work. Hello! I have an automation setup that when run “successfully” only populates some of the fields specified in the the action. Screenshot included below and highlighted where the errors are occurring. I also after a successful run initially eventually got an error message (seen in a screenshot below that “Could not find matching rows for string”. Was hoping could get some seeds of support on these two issues. I am trying to update multiple records at once using an automation with a script. I received a lot of help by using the script referenced here: Update Multiple Records with Automation. Basically, I am trying to mark records in one table (called “Summer Registrations”) as “paid” AND link those records to the the trigger payment record. The trigger payments can be linked to more than one record, which is why I know I need to use a script. Marking all the found records as “paid” is working fine, but the problem I’m having is pulling in the Record IDs from the trigger step. In the screenshot, I want to put the Airtable record ID from the step1 trigger into the field marked “Receipt”.

I have a question regarding the upcoming change to Attachments within bases on Airtable (the annoucement email that just came out a few days ago). I am especially concerned about the expiring URLs and am not sure if this will impact my business. Right now, I use Airtable to create a weekly availability for flowers. I share a link to each week’s table via email and customers have a 7 day window to place orders. My weekly availability includes photos in the Attachment column. These photos are either uploaded directly from my computer or uploaded as screenshots. The change that is coming in November, does this mean after a few hours my customers won’t be able to view the photos in my shared Grid View of my weekly availability? If this means my customers will lose access to my photos a few hours after I send them my weekly email, then how do I go about “fixing” this before it becomes a problem?

I have a base my team uses for resource planning and time tracking. I assign tasks and hours in the Gantt view, tasks sometimes span days and weeks (there is a start date, end date, and duration field). My employees then add their actual hours to the existing records as a time sheet. The problem I’m running into is that when assigning multi day tasks only one assignment record is created for the first day of the task, and all assigned hours are put on that task. I need an automation that will create a new record for every unique date between the start and end date of a task, duplicating all other attribute information and assigning the appropriate daily hours according to a formula. Is this possible within Airtable or do I need to use a different service? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice!

How do I write the equivalent of Excel’s PMT formula in AirTable field that produces the equivalent result in Excel? In Excel it’s =PMT(rate,nper,pv). In Excel I adapted it as =PMT(rate/12,nper12,pv)-1** which also produced the monthly payment as a positive value. I found this in the community: ({Monthly Interest Rate}*{Loan Amount})/(1-POWER((1+{Monthly Interest Rate}),-{Number of Monthly Payments})) I adapted it to this: ({Monthly Interest Rate/12*{Loan Amount}})/(1-POWER((1+{Monthly Interest Rate}/12),-{Number of Monthly Payments))/10 It was close but not exact and the small difference becomes a much larger difference in another calculation. Is there a way to do this?
