I’m new to Airtable and have only used bases shared with me. I created my own base, and need to make it private. A colleague told me to move it to “My First Workspace”…however I don’t have that workspace as an option.

Hi all. I have the following issue: I want to integrate a table inside a Notion page. In my table there are links to Google Photos albums, but they don’t work (they do instead work if I copy and paste the same link in the browser). I don’t know if this is an Airtable, Notion or Google Photos issue though… Anyone experienced that before? Thanks.

My app is reading data from multiple tables, then displays them in context and interconnected. To be able to react to user changes I’m using the useRecords hook, so that updates propagate to the app. When searching why the app loads so slowly I realized that it starts over and over again, with each useRecords hook. Is there a way/pattern to avoid this, while still being able to read all the necessary table data? Hi, I am getting an Error back on the very basic SUBSTITUTE, which I have used numerous times in other tables of my base. SUBSTITUTE({Record Name}," “,”-") {Record Name} is a FORMULA FIELD that pulls the text from a LOOKUP FIELD (in the same table) that pulls the text from a FORMULA FIELD in another table. Any ideas? I have a Formula Field that creates a custom URL from my airtable. In the past, if a piece of data was missing in the airtable that was referenced in the Formula field … the data would just be empty. Now though, it’s throwing an error unless all of the data is populated. Does anyone have experience with this? Can you do something like =if(isnull, “noData”) in the formula?

I would like to keep a total score in a separate field based on certain values in 1 to 10 fields. So let’s say: Field 1: Yes Field 2: No Field 3: Yes Field 4: No Field 5: Yes Field 6: Yes Field 7: No Field 8: Yes Field 9: Yes Field 10: Yes Then a summarized 7 must be placed in the final number field. 7x yes = 7 and if I change field 3 to no after 2 weeks in the database, then field must become final grade 6 without having to do this manually. Is this possible and if yes how? I read about rollup/formula fields but how to do this on these 10 examples fields? It should be all present in 1 table and not different tables.

Hello everyone! I need to implement order creation in e-commerce. So, I have a “Products” table and an “Orders” table. The “Orders” table has a “Selected Products” field that is linked to the “Products” table. When a user selects a product, the link is implemented and all data from the “Products” is provided in the “Orders table”. There is such a case when the user must select the quantity for each product, and the total amount must be calculated accordingly. However, I have no idea how to bind each quantity for each product that is taken from “Products” table. Can you give any suggestions to solve this problem? The architecture looks like this: Table “Orders”: fields “Selected Products”: Product1, Product 2 [links]; “Total Amount”, “Quantities” (Here user needs to enter for Product1 and Product 2); “Price” (from “Products”) Table “Products”: fields “Name”, “Quantity”, “Price” Total amount = price[0] * quantities[0] + price[1] * quantities[1] (I need such formula)

Hi everyone ! I have a list of bars associated with internal funding codes. Then, on another tab, I have a list of projects and each one of them is associated with a particular internal funding code. On that tab, there is also a column name “List of bars”, where I’de like to have a list or a field including all the bars that were tagged with the specific internal funding code associated with the projet. Right now, I’ve tested automations used “Update record” and even “Create record”. The link works : If I input the internal funding code to a particular bar, it will show up in the list of bars on my second tab. However, instead of ADDIND this new bar to the list, it erases what is already there and only update the latest bar associated with my internal funding code. So, here I am, wondering if there’s is a way to do what I want to do with this. Thanks a lot for the help !

Hi there, I have accomplished a few formulas through my airtable base but I have trouble with this one: In a library, I want to return “not in stock” for items that are signed out and have not yet been returned. In writing this would be: If SignOutDate contains a value and ReturnDate contains no value, return “not in stock”, otherwise “available” IF( AND( {SignOutDate}<>””,{ReturnDate}=BLANK() ), ”notinstock”,”available” ) As I am new to the AND/IF business, I might have severe problems in here already? I know that I am probably approaching this formula wrong, or maybe it isn’t possible with the way MIN()/Dates/Fields work in Airtable - but I figured I would ask the community for a little help on this one. Context: Need to assign work order due dates based off content Air Date. More specifically, I am trying to take the earliest date found for each month then subtract 28 weeks (dateadd -28 weeks), and use that Min Date - 28 weeks as the Work Order Due Date for every record that has an air date with the month that calculated it. Hello. I have a base that I offer for sale as a template. The purchaser copies the base to their account upon purchase. Is there any way of natively finding out how many times one of my bases has been copied? If this is not natively possible, is there any way of accessing the meta data for this? I’d like to understand if the number of sales correlates to the number of times it’s been copied. Many thanks,

I have 2 tables… Companies CompanyID, CompanyName, ContractIDs Contracts ContractID, ContractTitle, EffectiveDate, ExpirationDate, CompanyID They’re linked together via the final field in each table where 1 Company can have multiple Contracts. I want to create a field in the Companies table to display the ContractTitle of the most recent contract but am struggling to find a solution using Rollups. Of course, I can add a field to Companies using a Rollup that takes the MAX(ExpirationDate) to at least give the latest contract expiry, but I can’t find a way to use that expiry to bring back the single ContractTitle field with that expiry per Company. Appreciate any thoughts at all on whether this is possible!

It seems I can’t use a variable in the method updateRecordAsync(record,{"field": value) In the head of my script, I ask which field needs to be updated. (ps: I use pseudo-code here to keep my question brief. Then I would like to use something like updateRecordAsync(record,{selectedField: someValue) or updateRecordAsync(record,{selectedField.name: someValue) However, the code above gives an error: j: Field ‘selectedField’ does not exist in table The code only works when I hardcode the field, which kinda defeats the purpose of scripting/automation… updateRecordAsync(record,{"status": someValue}) question: is there some way to use a variable selectedField in updateRecordAsync or do I need to keep the fieldname hardcoded?

I could not find in the API documentation a way to trigger Airtable’s UNDO actions. Is there a way to do this ? It would surely be of a great help for all users. Thanks!

Hey guys, I’m having some troubles with the blank formula. I build this simple task-manager. The idea is that i can choose a task-startdate and choose with the single select the duration. Then I have a formula which counts based on the single select the right end-date. When there is no date, I get an error, which I would like to remove. I teach a class where students have to share information in a daily form. They get credit for the number of days they submit a form, not for the total number of forms submitted. The form feeds a Daily Submissions table, which is linked to a Students table. Because I didn’t see something equivalent to Sheets/Excel COUNTUNIQUE in Airtable, I created a Pivot Table app in the Daily Submissions to calculate Days Shared. I’m trying to figure out whether I can pull the number of Days Shared from the Pivot Table app back into a field corresponding to that student in a table of students, so I can share a view of table that includes Days Shared. If that’s not possible, is there a way to count the unique days in a table without a pivot table? There is a Lookup field in the Students table that collects all the days, including duplicates, but I don’t know how to dedupe that. Or do I need to do create an interface that displays the Pivot Table app data? Thanks for your help!

Hello, community! I am using the free subscription for this table. In the form that I am creating from the table, I would like to add a section that will allow those filling out the form to be directed to an external link. (Ex: “Thank you for completing this form, if you would like to join our mailing list, please click (XX).” Our mailing list is held via another program.) I thought that the solution was to add a button and then have the button redirect to the external link. But that column does not show up in the form view (because I imagine it’s meant to support internal processes). Is there a way to do this? Thank you.

I’m helping a nonprofit setup their membership system in Airtable. We have a Master Membership table with about 400 member records. Occasionally we get a CSV of member records that have renewed their membership. What do I do to update the Master Membership table using the renewals table? I realize this is a big topic, but I’m just looking to understand how to merge an update table with a master table. Thanks in advance for any guidance!
