Hallo, i have a problem with the script. i would like a template with next actions for a project with record picker function. but the problem is with my script, i have two projects with the same name always after the script. one project is empty and one projects with the template actions. Problem is the projectid var. The script create always a new record. I am trying to create a field that will show a flag when one of two conditions are met around a Platform Due Date: Delivery Date is after the Platform Due Date Submitted Date is within 56 days (or 8 weeks) of Platform Due Date I also don’t want it to show anything if there’s no Platform Due Date (field is blank), as this field/column doesn’t apply for all records. I’m not getting any errors, but it’s also not showing the flag for a record that was submitted 3/29/22 but was due 3/7/22. In this case, the submitted date is after the due date, but there will be future cases where the submitted date is before the due date, but still less than 8 weeks or 56 days before. Hi all, I am looking to identify if a team is onboarded. We define onboarded if at least one of the designated people on the team participated in a session. Take the example below (columns hidden to simplify the example). The first column (physician team name) is the name of the team. The team consists of three people including John Doe, William Smith, and Sarah Johnson. We can see that Dr. Doe onboarded and he is considered a “live” user. His two colleagues are not, but because he is live that means the entire team is live. The ultimate goal is to group by Live vs Not Live and then Team Name like the screenshot below. This doesn’t work though because Neuroscience Team shows in the live section because Dr. Doe is live, but then also shows in the not live section because the other two did not participate in training. How do I create a formula so the Neuroscience team only shows as live? We cannot filter out the other two individuals from the grouping. Does anyone have any clever ideas

Hi all! I just started doing taxes as a small business and I figured I’d make an airtable chart to keep track of all the different tax rates in different counties. However, what I’m running into is this: When I go to formatting I get the response: Your result type is not a number or a date. Formatting options are currently only available if your result type is a number or a date. Here is my formula: IF( SEARCH("Online", {Location}), "0%", IF( SEARCH("Wake", {Location}), "2%", IF( SEARCH("Durham", {Location}), "2.25%" ) ) ) I’ve tried both with and without the % symbol. To be fair, the return in that column works fine but I can’t then make a later formula using those values because it doesn’t recognize them as numbers. Dear Experts, We have two Airtables for teachers and students. For each new student record added, we need to assign the student to a teacher based on the student info (language, age, …). We have linked both tables using name field but now want to make this automation of assigning students to teacher. Each teacher will have max capacity of students to be assigned. Hello, Any idea how I would transform monthly totals into a cumulative total over time? I can’t get this field to sort properly. It sorts up to a certain point then seems to give up. I tried deleting/re-creating the sort rule, even manually sorting from the customize menu. I contacted ‘Support’ with this, they did not even respond.

Hi Airtable community! Hoping for some assistance with an If statement. We have a workback schedule for deliverables based on an event date Workback:Materials Due: WORKDAY(Date,-45)) Occasionally, we will need to adjust the deliverable dates if the date of the event is determined later than the typical schedule allows for. I created a “Manual Deadline” date field. Manual: Materials Due: DATE I would like to create an If statement Formula field for Materials Due that will populate it with the Workback: Materials Due date UNLESS the Manual: Materials Due field has a date in it, in which case it will display the manual date. Can someone please assist? My brain has trouble with if statements :winking_face:

Hi, I’m fighting to find a solution to my problem, I’ve a table with a list of Volunteers (called “DATABASE”) and a “SERVICES” table where I put unique services and sign every Volunteer who partecipate to Service. Now I want to create another table that can automatically make a report of presences over a year, so I want to count how many time a Volunteer make a Service, in this simply case it would print: 123ABC - 1 456DEF - 2 789GHI - 2 Here an example: How can I do it? Hi, I am looking to find the initial letters of a UK post code before the first number. UK Post codes start with 1 or 2 letters and are always numbers and then letters. E.g. ‘WA1 1AB’ or ‘SK2 3LP’ or ‘L1 1AA’ or ‘M2 3NK’ I am looking for a formula to return the initial letters before the first number. So for the above examples, I would expect ‘WA’, ‘SK’, ‘L’ and ‘M’ Any ideas?

Is it better practice to pass only the values you need from the base into child components or is it okay (performance-wise) to pass down the whole record object? Hi everyone, For the freelancing part of my making-ends-meet endeavors, I have started tracking tasks. Usually, that’s no problem with Airtable. But once in a while, I’ll forget to enter a task when I start it, and, instead, enter it when I remember to do so. That means CREATED_TIME() in the primary field gives me that later time, and that’s not helpful. I tried to get around this by using this formula: IF({Manual Date & Time},{Manual Date & Time},CREATED_TIME()) But if I toggle on “Use the same time zone…,” the CREATED_TIME() goes wonky. And if I don’t toggle on “Use the same time zone…,” the {Manual Date & Time} goes wonky. How can I get the time zone to be consistent in this formula field whether it’s autogenerated or manually entered? If someone could help me figure this out, I would be really grateful!

I am using Automation to send messages from Airtable to Slack. However, for example, in Airtable, the value of “$10,000” in the Currency field is simply displayed as “10000” in the slack message (with no $ sign, no 1000 separator). What should I do?

I have the following code that runs fine if I put it in the main body of my App but not if I put it in a function. I’m baffled, hoping folks here can enlighten me as to why. When in the main body, it runs through all of the records in the Teams table. When in a function, only the 1st record is updated. The portion I’d like to have in a function is the code inside of the if (allUsers) block. Hello! One of my apps is crashing (showing the “Sorry, an error occurred”) screen intermittently and I don’t know why. What I know: It usually takes a minute or so of refreshing the app before it is able to load. The airtable record data the app references is changing a lot throughout the data so it might be related to that I have been unable to reproduce this error when I am ‘block run’ mode via the CLI. So far I have only seen it happened on the ‘release’ version of the app the browser console says Error: comment count out of sync a ton of times when I open it after the app crashes Does anyone have an idea what’s going on? I’m hoping to use JotForm to add some functionality for recruitment applications, and having some trouble with Airtable’s attachment field when mapping the fields using Integromat. Jotform is sending the attachment data as a URL, which I’m mapping to the attachment field in Integromat, as below: This successfully adds to Airtable: And creates a record with the attachment. However, it seems that the Airtable is then immediately deleting the attachment! I doesn’t do this when I manually enter the same attachment URL, only when it’s mapped from JotForm. Any ideas or prior experience would be appreciated!

My question is: How can I more quickly add data to tables and cut out some manual work? Here’s the specific context. I currently have a document with three tables Students (Database table, one record per student) Classes (Database table, one record per class) Enrollments (Junction table, handling the many-many relationships between students and classes) Currently, the junction table only has three columns (Name, Student, Class) But to add a New Enrollment, it feels very clunky and like there is a lot of manual work. You have to select both the student and the class each time. What If I need to add a lot of students to classes at once? Is there any easy way to do that? I am adding records for user profiles. Records are only going to be name and email address until the user logs in to update with additional information. I have one field set up as an attachment, and a user can upload an image to use as an avatar. I would like to set up a default image as a placeholder. I have a view in the user table as ‘attachment field is blank’ to filter out the new records without an avatar, and created a separate table with one record that contains the placeholder image in an attachment field. How do I set up the automation to pull the placeholder image over to the blank attachment field? I was thinking to trigger ‘when record enters a view’ but I can’t figure it out from there. I’ve built an app that allows users in my base to select a record in a certain table. I’m using GlobalConfig to store the ID of that record. However, when I first publish the app to my base I get an error because the GlobalConfig does not yet have an ID stored. So when do useRecordById, I get an error like this: “getRecordById expects a string” because there is no record ID stored in GlobalConfig, since a user has not yet selected one. When I tried putting useRecordById inside a conditional, I get an error because you can’t put hooks inside a conditional. What is the best way to get around this? Thanks!

It’s getting pretty insane with these new features being rolled out long enough to be excited about them then rolling them back. About to leave the platform and stop pushing it to clients over the BS Games. Really hope we get that great formula editor back some time soon. @Jordan_Scott1

Hi all, I have the last modified showing up as “Unknown” in a synced table and not sure what is causing this. Is this possibly the record coming from the other base not showing the creator, until someone updates possibly? Cheers

I’m experiencing a strange issue when I use a date in a formula (yes, I’m using timezones). If I include the time field in the date, then it displays correctly in the formula, but if I do not include time, then the formula displays the date minus 1. I do not want time because this is an invoice date. Halp.
