Hey guys, do you know a way to use a monospaced font on Tables (Grid Views)? It makes things clear since the whole text will align.

I’m trying to work this one out but I don’t have sufficient coding experience to really crack it. I’m looking to generate an image into a dedicated field, based on a record’s {firstname} {lastname} fields. Examples of code to do this are here: javascript - How do I set profile image as first letters of first and last name? - Stack Overflow Can these easily be turned into a script? If it isn’t possible to create an image file, generating unique embed codes per record might be just as useful.

Hi there, I have a question for our PTO system. I like to calculate the workdays between the PTO startdate and enddate minus the holidays + non working days (for partime employees). I want to do this in a linked field because of large number of dates. But I constantly get an error when implementing. I’ve made a table for all days in the coming year I’ve made a lookup field referencing to this table. Then a field with a formula field WORKDAY_DIFF({startPTO}, {endPTO}, {Days in year}) I’ve also tried this advice from Justin_Barret in this topic. But unfortunately it keeps showing an error. I’m trying get all of the records form an api call into an object so I can use the data in other calculations. I can’t, however, get the function to return what I want. I’ve tried lots of combinations of async/await and .then(), but I can’t get it to work. “aTotalRecords” gets filled up with the data, but I can’t get the function to return it. I’m trying to copy/paste data from a Google Sheet into airtable (import as a csv may work but for my use case I’d rather just quickly copy/paste, rather than going through the download/upload process). My problem: When I set the field as percentage or number type, the pasted values change from negative to positive. What I’ve tried: I’ve ensured that the “allow negative numbers” is toggled on (and have even tried it toggled off) but no luck. When I set the field as single line text, the number formats correctly but then I can’t use it as a “number” in subsequent formulas since it’s formatted as text. Anyone have a similar problem or able to help?

Hi. Is there a very simple example of how to consume multiple pages when calling GET on the airtable API? I’ve asked the community in my recent post whether or not it is possible to “score” records based on the value in a multi-select field, and I also needed my formula to calculate the total for all values when the multi-select has 2 or more values. Hello Airtable Community! I was wondering if anyone knows the solution to my little problem - some of the records in my table will have almost identical information about the partnership programs we’re working with. Is there a way to sync specific records within the same table, so that, when in one of the synced records a change is made, it is automatically shown in all other synced records? Ideally I would like to specify in which columns these records should be synced, since there will always be one unique column per each record that identifies one record from another. Every bit helps!

Hello, I’m struggling with setting correctly a Date field. Basically I have a field with Date type which I set to Date.now() when something happens. If anything else happens I want to blank out the field and leave it emtpy. If I try… myDate = null; I get an error reading “Type ‘null’ is not assignable to type ‘number’”, and it seems the only way I can get rid of the error is by using… myDate = 0; Now, when I run the script and my “else” is executed I can’t seem to assign 0 to the field, and I’m getting an error reading “j: Can’t set cell values: invalid cell value for field ‘myDate’. Cell value has invalid format: .0 must be a string, .1 must be a string, .2 must be an object” So, the question: how can I manually assign null/empty to a Date field so that no value is displayed? Hey all! The community’s been fantastic so far, all of my queries are answered with great solutions! My question here is very simple, is there a way to freeze columns, like in excel/sheets? My table has 40+ columns and the main record is numeric count (I needed it for the lookup), so when you’re halfway through the table you can’t see which record you’re looking at, the numeric count doesn’t tell me anything, would like to have 2-3 columns frozen at any time. I’m trying to “score” some of the records in my table, one of the columns represents a localization information about each record, e.g.: US UK DE Global CA FR ES MX BR AU IT Each localization adds up points to the final score: US - 0.9 UK - 0.9 DE - 0.7 Global - 1 CA - 0.8 FR - 0.7 ES - 0.6 MX - 0.6 BR - 0.6 AU - 0.6 IT - 0.6 The column which represents locales is actually a multi-select column, as my “records” can be present in multiple locations. My formula can already read the value in the Locale cell and add up the corresponding value to the final score, but how can I program it to see, that there are several values, and calculate them all together? Current formula: IF(Locale=“US”,0.9,(IF(Locale=“UK”,0.9,(IF(Locale=“DE”,0.7,…etc. Thank you!

I would like the formula to be able to identify the client by field {Rodzaj usługi}. If the client would be (in the {Rodzaj usługi}) “Fotografia ślubna” then I would like {Status} to show “ :heavy_check_mark: ” only if the {Odbitki}, {Album}, {Galeria internetowa}, {Selekcja zdjęć}, {Zwiastun}, {Obróbka zdjęć} fields will be filled with the word “Oddane”. Otherwise, the {Status} field should show “ :x: ”. When the client would be (in the {Rodzaj usługi}) “Film ślubny” then I would like {Status} to show “ :heavy_check_mark: ” only if the {Film wrzucony na dysk}, {Teledysk ślubny}, fields will be filled with the word “Oddane”. Hello! I have a Jotform survey automatically going into Airtable. Some of the questions have “Check all that apply” with an “Other” response that prompts a free form answer. These free form responses are being added as multi-select option in Airtable (rightfully so). I’m trying to do an Airtable Interface on the survey responses but, obviously, those free form responses are being considered. In a column, I want the options and replacing the free form response with “Other”. Then in a separate column track the free form response (just so that data isn’t lost). Any ideas? This is essentially what I’m trying to do: The “Name” and “Q1 Answers” field is the only thing imported with survey responses.

Hello, I am horrible at formulas and it’s really becoming a frustration as I continue to learn Airtable. I am wanting to create a status in the formula field to then automate an email trigger. The formula needs to update to either 60-days or 30-days based on the contract end date. I already have fields for the start date and end date so the formula can work with either. Seems simple enough but I am a struggle bus. What formula do I need to enter? If we are 60-days out from the contract ending, update the status to 60-days, and if we a 30-days from the contract ending, update the status to 30-days. Start with IF(AND(, correct? IF(AND({Contract End Date} …blank stare…, “60-days”), repeat blank stare, “30-days”) Help :weary:

Hello Community! I need to calculate the score of a record based on that record’s numeric value. My records’ numeric values can be anywhere between 1 and 100, and I need to set a score between 1 and 10 to each value based on how high that value is, like so: 1-3 => 1 3-5 => 2 5-10 => 3 10-20 =>4… you get the idea My problem is with setting up a formula - whet I try to set it like this: IF(Value>1,1,(IF(Value>3,2,… etc. the result only reads the first parameter (value>1 => returns 1) and it doesn’t compute when the value of the record is more than 3, it still returns me 1. How can that be fixed?

So I’m not sure how to ask it differently, but if I were to try, here it goes. NEW to Airtable (so TY for being patient & detailed) So I have a base with three tables in it, Customers, Vehicles & Sales. I’m trying to collect all of the sales for each customer. All of the tables are linked, and I have been able to bring each of the sales into one cell (example: $0.00, $170.00, $125.00). But now I need to total those numbers! Hey, I am trying to build a holiday let portal. The front end will be on Softr. I have had help on their forum but I’m still not getting where I’m going wrong? What I’m trying to do is when a person selects a country from a single select option, the next dropdown will show counties/regions in the selected country. I have tried two tables and linked fields but no joy? As you can see, I have a property page with a single select country and a separate table with counties. Then I get stuck. I have watched videos, read the documentation and I’m starting to think A) I’m stupid or B) I’m setting it up wrong … Any advice - Please!

Hi, I am trying to adapt/modify scripts that i have found within these forums in order to update a linked field with a recordID defined as an input variable. I am very limited in knowledge with scripting, through trial and error i have been able to modify and update a single line text field and a single select. I have also managed to clear the cell through a previous failed attempt. Can anyone help me understand where im going wrong? Hi all, Trying to make an interface with a “maximum possible spend” for each project launch day. Projects launch twice a week and run from 2 days to 15 days. I need to find a way to ask the question “Is this project still running next Tuesday” and “is the project still running next Friday”. Does anyone know where to start? I’ve tried a few things, I’ve tried lots of nested if statements, but I’m truly stumped. EDIT: A better way of formatting the question is “Will this product still be available for purchase next Tuesday/Friday” as two separate columns with a true/false value.

Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with a conditional automation. Everything appears to be triggering and working correctly when things happen slowly. However, I made a script that is meant to set the conditions for another trigger. It seems like this is happening too quickly, and the automation is only triggering once instead of a few times. The script affects the K1 Override? field. My organization has to run a random lottery for our kindergarten class, and that is what the script is doing. Whoever is selected, it writes in “Selected”, otherwise “Not Selected”.The Status field has a formula that notices this and updates accordingly. The automation is triggered by the Status field.
