Is there a way to password protect a base so that when it’s opened (even by me) it requests a password before showing any information? I’m attempting to make a base to store ALL passwords. Personal and Business. However I do not want anyone who may get access to my computer to be able to pull up the base without a password. Thanks

Is there an easy way of creating a column (field) in Airtable that includes consecutive dates (ie. each record shows the next date on from the record before)? The only way I find I can do this is to manually insert each date. Another way would be to select two of the dates and drag down or up through empty records (a la a spreadsheet). But unlike Apple Numbers you cannot create new records as you drag. Therefore you have to pre-create the empty records. The problem is that the empty records are not adjacent to the most recent date (and I want to add dates after the most recent date). The empty records always appear at the other end of the list of records. I assume I am missing something basic? Thanks

Hi - I’m trying to rollup a look up date field to find the earliest date but all I’m getting are values of ‘0’. Here’s how I’m set up: Table A: Contains a list of events per location. For example, Location A on 1/1/2022, Location A on 1/2/2022, and so on where each location + event date is a unique row. I also created a formula field (Formatted Event Date) for the event date: DATETIME_FORMAT({Event Date},‘M/D/YYYY’) Table B: Contains a list of locations and a lookup on Table A for Formatted Event Date. I tried creating a rollup on Table A for Formatted Event Date using MIN(Values) but it’s returning all ‘0’. Is there a better way to rollup dates so that it’s formatted correctly??

Hi there! I have a “Campaigns” table and a “Schedule” table within the same base. My “Schedule” records are all linked to a campaign in my “Campaigns” table, for example: I have a “Product Launch” campaign in my “Campaigns” table, and in my “Schedule” table I have a record for a Product Launch email, Product Launch social post and Product Launch display ad. Every record in my “Schedule” table has an attachment to go along with it (creative/artwork). I would like for the attachments I add to a record in “Schedule” table to automatically duplicate into the “Campaigns” table, under the appropriate (linked) campaign. Using the same example as above, I would like my Product Launch email, social post and display ad attachments to automatically populate in the attachments field for the Product Launch record in my “Campaigns” table. Would I set this up as an automation? I know the answer has got to be right in front of me, just having a total mental block :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks in ad

Hello, Airtablers. I have a question regarding using the ‘Data Fetcher’ app to pull in data via API to a table and then updating that data. Basically, when I run the call it brings back the information on ~157 products in the database. We use this data to then sync into Webflow to populate an ecommerce menu. The challenge we have is that the products we have change fairly frequently and we’d like for the product to not show up when it’s no longer available. In Airtable, how could we get records in Airtable to be removed when an updated API call runs and those specific records are no longer returned (because they aren’t available). Any seeds of ideas greatly appreciated.

I’ve used Airtable before, but never set up my own base before, so pretty new to this. I have two tables Students Daily Submissions Students is a fixed list of enrolled students that is linked to Daily Submissions Daily Submissions is fed by a form that collects a student (selected from a menu from Students), a link, and a description. When someone submits a form, it also collects Created Time in a field called timestamp. In Students, I want to create a field called Most Recent Share that will display the date of the most recent Daily Submission for each student. After reading Rollup field overview and topics including Formula to calculate the latest Date in an array and Roll up max date but show another field I tried creating a Rollup that collects ARRAYUNIQUE(values), which showed nothing, and MAX(ARRAYUNIQUE(values)), which showed a column of zeroes But I don’t know which of those is correct, or what the Formula (or is it Lookup?) in the Most Recent Share field should be, and h

Hi, I’ve set up a scheduled automation to send me an email reminder everyday for open tickets that I need to resolve. The thing is that I’d like to configure this automation to only be triggered if there are open tickets in the first place, i.e. if the count of open tickets > 0 or if one of the views in my table “Open tickets” has any records in it. I don’t want to keep receiving an email daily that says “You have 0 open tickets”. How can I set the Scheduled automation to only run based on a condition? Is this even possible? Hi! Having some issues with an automation. In summary: 2 tables: Customer ‘Orders’ table Customer ‘Leads’ table Automation: Step 1 (Trigger) : New record is added to Orders. Step 2 (Action): Find record in ‘Leads’ that has a matching email address (as the record in Step 1). Step 3 (Update): In ‘Leads’, update a field in the record found in Step 2. Outcome: When a matching email address is found, everything works as expected :slightly_smiling_face: However, when there is no match found: Step 2 reports ‘Step Successful’, but returns 0 records found (this is as I would expect) Step 3 throws a ‘Received invalid inputs’ error. I would expect Step 3 to not run at all, if Step 2 doesn’t find any matching records. So I guess the question is, is there conditional logic built into automations that does something like the following: If Step 2 finds record, go to step 3 If Step 2 doesn’t find record, stop. Any help appreciated!

Hey all, In the new automations dashboard, is it possible to add a conditional action - one that only runs if a condition is met. My use case is that I’m trying to create a 2-way sync with a Google calendar. If I create an event in Google Calendar, I want it to first search my base by event ID to see if it already exists. If it does not, then I want it to create a new record. If it does, then I want it to update any fields that have changed in Google. I may be going about this all wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks! Joel

I have a button In a task list and want to add a button to add a new row in that list under that project instead of clicking the “plus sign” underneath the row. Can someone help me with the script? I’m looking to add “available dates” (pre-defined) into a form for the user to select. Not sure how to go about setting this up. Once the form is submitted, I would like the selected date to fall off the available date list. Also, not sure on how to go about setting this up.

Hello, completely new to Airtable and fairly new on dealing with APIs. I was super excited that I was able to get an API connection to work and successfully pull the data I needed a few weeks ago. Today I went back because I forgot to include two fields in the original pull of the data. I amended my Body JSON query to include these two new fields and when I use the “Open Field Mapping” button in the Data Fetcher app everything actually looks fine (it’s pulling in the new fields). But, when I run the query, I receive the following warning with the yellow exclamation: Can’t update field: invalid field config. Failed schema validation: symbol is not included in the .(type=number).options schema Because I’m fairly new both APIs and Airtable, is someone able to give me a “laymans” explanation of what I can search for to troubleshoot this warning. Hello! I’m trying to edit a script that I already have. To do so, I need to be able to get values from a Link to Another Record. The linked record is on a different table. I’ve been using .getCellValue() for most cases, but it doesn’t seem to be helping me here. Right now, when I run the .getCellValue, it returns an Object, and when I run .getCellValue().values, it outputs “function”. How can I get a specific field off of the linked record?

Hey all! I am trying to set up an automation that will update multiple records using a script. From reading around the forum, I think I’m definitely almost there but need help crossing the finish line. Here’s the breakdown: I have two two tables: one has pieces written by authors, while the other has feedback notes for those pieces. They have a one-to-many relationship: via linked record, several notes can be associated with one story. Each time a new note comes in via submission form, it receives a number via automation. So the first note submitted for a piece has its note # set to “1”, the second to “2”, etc. This is a number field, not multiple select, single select, etc. I’d like to set up another automation that renumbers notes whenever one is flagged for content. So, say that record A has 8 notes linked to it. Note #6 has inappropriate content, so I don’t want it to count towards the tally. I have two of three parts set up. I have a base I am using for rehearsing a play. I have several tables including a character table, which I linked to the scene table, inputting which characters appear in each scene, finally linking a rehearsal table which has which scenes are being rehearsed on any given day. In the rehearsals table, I am trying to find any characters that will appear in any of the scenes rehearsed that day, without duplicates. I have tried a rollup command and a function command. I have played with ARRAYFLATTEN and ARRAYUNIQUE to no avail. Can anyone help?

We have a funding database that we update regularly for our charity members. On our website is an embedded gallery view that shows all the current opportunities, which incluldes links to the funders external websites - as shown here: Find funding | Community Southwark For our monitoring and record keeping I’d like to know how many users take action to visit those funders - is there any way of tracking this using airtable, or should I be looking at something like bit.ly for individual link tracking? Hi Everyone, I had previously accomplished this in Google Sheets, but since moving to Airtable, I’ve had a bit of trouble replicating it. We’re a dog training company, and want to count the number of packages that each trainer sells in a given month. My table has a column with a date field that contains when the package is sold, a column with the trainer’s name (a linked record to a trainer’s table), and a column if the package has been paid for. Previously in Google Sheets, I used a table that contained the date range for each month (ex. 1/1/22 to 1/31/22). The formula would see if the date the package was sold was between these dates, checked the trainer’s name matches, and if the payment contained the word “Paid”. Would love some help trying to get this working with Airtable :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you

I’m guessing this scenario has already been covered, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Feel free to point me to the relevant article if so. I’ve got 5 status fields, one for each of 5 teams. When a new project is added, the person adding needs to identify whether or not each team has any tasks to do in association with the project. If so, they pick “Yes”; if not, “No”. Then each team is responsible to update the status in the field from there. I want to create an AutoStatus column that put out the following: “In Progress”: if any of the team statuses is “In Progress” “On Hold”: if any of the team statuses is “On Hold” “Complete”: if all 5 statuses are either “Complete” or “No” (ignore "NA "- I’m taking that one out of the list) “Not Started”: if all 5 statuses are either “Yes” or “Reviewing” This level of complexity in formulas is beyond me at this point, but I’m confident that someone here will know how to do what I’m looking for! I currently have an IF statement formula nested into a longer SWITCH formula, and am looking for a way to modify it some. Currently it is IF({Total Order Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Total Order Sold Price}>= 15, {Sold Price} * .2)) I want to first check for data in the {Total Order Sold Price} field. If there is data, I want it to run this set of IF statements. If there is no data, I want it to run the same IF statements, with a slight modification: IF({Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Sold Price}>= 15, {Sold Price} * .2)) I’ve tried writing it a few different ways, the best I came up with is this: IF({Total Order Sold Price}, IF({Total Order Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Total Order Sold Price}>=15, {Sold Price} * .2))), IF({Total Order Sold Price}=BLANK(), IF({Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Sold Price}>=15,{Sold Price} * .2))) Nothing is working so far though.
