I am trying to create a formula that will change a column to say Active or Inactive based on the numbers of days before an item expires. For example: I have contracts that expire over the next four years. When one of the contracts gets within 6 months of expiring I need a column to change to Active or Inactive. All of the Actives will be within 6 months of expiring Inactives will be anything valid for more then 6 months. I tried to use this formula I found in the forums and changed my expiration date column to Purchase Date just so the columns would match and it keeps telling me that it is an invalid formula. IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Purchase Date}, ‘days’) < 365, ‘Inactive’, ‘Active’). Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, I have been trying for days and looked through previous posts but haven’t been able to find an answer. I created a linked table that shows how many engagements (essentially projects) per client account. NOTE: all of these records are completely made up and using as examples! Client accounts may have both active and inactive engagements, because there might be more than one engagement (project) assigned to an account. But my objective here is to show the account’s status as ‘Active’ if there is at least one active engagement. I got to this point, but how can I default to ‘Active’ if the field contains both active and inactive?

Hi there, Let’s say I have a formula field - Field A - that produces a decimal value (e.g., 0.5). I use the formatting option within the formula field to display this value as a percentage. However when I call that field in another formula - Field B - it is displaying using the original decimal value. Is there a way to format my the ouput in Field B, so that it displays as a percentage value? Currently Field B is outputting data like: 0.5 0.8333334 0.2 I want Field B to output: 50% 83% 20% If anyone could help that would be much appreciated!

I track consignment items in Airtable. This is my consignment pricing structure: Day 0-29: Initial List Price Day 30-45: Initial List Price minus 15% Day 45-90: Initial List Price minus 25% Day 91: Expired What formula will auto-discount the initial price by the above amounts based on the date when the item sells? Can the entire cycle of auto-discounts be calculated in one column? What formula can be used to mark an item “expired” on day 91? - could this formula also be included in the same column as the auto-discount column? :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

I’m working on a rather bulky script, and because I’m trying to keep it clean I try and create functions for repetitive tasks. But it seems that using functions inside the scripting block also results in a poor logging behaviour in the output screen. I have an airtable table with 5 fields. But when I embed, it doesn’t show the last field in the card view. Only after clicking on the card item does the entire details show on popup. Is there a way to show all the fields in card view ?

Hi, having issues combining two different IF statements for contracts: IF(Phase=“ :inbox_tray: Lead”,“ :bell: ”) IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{Last Contact},‘days’) >= 7, “ :bell: ”) They both work separately but want to be able to combine them so that IF a contract is in Lead phase AND the last contact date was 7or more days ago, then follow up ( :bell: ). Every time I use the (AND) function, following the example here, it doesn’t work. Is it because the Phase field is a function?

Hello everyone. Sorry if this isn’t in the proper category or if the question seems newbie. I’m kind of new to Airtable and was wondering if there’s a way to automatically populate a field across a whole table based on a condition within a field in that table and/or in another table entirely. To simplify, I have a table with the following columns: Website Name, URL, and Categories. What I want to achieve is create a 4th column based on values within the Categories field. For example, if Categories field has “Laptops”, the 4th column would automatically populate with a text like “Source1, Source2”, etc. Is there a way to do this across the whole table and at the same time be able to edit the “Source” text to add more websites? Photo for clarification: Is it possible to make it so that Sample Website 2 through 4 also have Source1, Source2 in their Sources column? Sorry if this is confusing. Thank you so much!

Hello beautiful community! I hope you are doing well. I’m looking to optimize timesheets on airtable. I have almost everything set up, but, I am missing a feature: “cumulative time” / overtime. In fact I would like to have in the time bank who is the sum of the overtimes per employee over all periods to know how many hours the employee or the company owes (time balance) I was thinking of adding the SUM/Overtime by period and have it appear in the employee’s profile (Banque d’heure) Do you have any idea of the formula / process to do this? After that, From this bank of hours, the employee could with a form say: I take x hours for recovery. it makes sense? Thank you for your help! Hi there, Lets say I have four fields: A B C D I would like to create a single formula field that could show which of the above fields are blank. So, for example: If only A is blank, the field should say “Field A is blank” If A and B are blank, the field should say “Field A and B are blank” And so on … I have been able to create a formula that tracks whether all the fields are blank, but I am struggling to find a way to use the formula field to display which specific fields are blank. If anyone has any advice, that would be much much appreciated!

Please could somebody help me troubleshoot this formula? I’m building a financial forecast and have a number of new business opportunities to build in. Not all opportunities have the same probability of converting into a sale however so I need to create a weighted value for each opportunity to give me a more realistic view of what my pipeline value is. The calculation needs to be Contract Value x Probability = Weighted Value, however I’m struggling to work out how I incorporate the multiple options into my formula. I have 6 probability options in total: 100% 75% 50% 30% 10% Lost (0%) If anyone could offer some advice, that would be much appreciated! Thank you.

Hello, I’m new to Airtable & I have a formula that an Airtable support doc says should work & I can get to work in Excel, but keeps returning an error in my Airtable base. What I want to accomplish is this: IF the Jan 22 Commission Field is not blank, Jan 22 Prof Calc should equal that. Otherwise, IF Jan 22 Actual is blank, Jan Prof Calc should equal zero. IF it’s not blank, Jan 22 Prof Calc should equal Jan 22 Remaining. Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to password protect a base so that when it’s opened (even by me) it requests a password before showing any information? I’m attempting to make a base to store ALL passwords. Personal and Business. However I do not want anyone who may get access to my computer to be able to pull up the base without a password. Thanks

Is there an easy way of creating a column (field) in Airtable that includes consecutive dates (ie. each record shows the next date on from the record before)? The only way I find I can do this is to manually insert each date. Another way would be to select two of the dates and drag down or up through empty records (a la a spreadsheet). But unlike Apple Numbers you cannot create new records as you drag. Therefore you have to pre-create the empty records. The problem is that the empty records are not adjacent to the most recent date (and I want to add dates after the most recent date). The empty records always appear at the other end of the list of records. I assume I am missing something basic? Thanks

Hi - I’m trying to rollup a look up date field to find the earliest date but all I’m getting are values of ‘0’. Here’s how I’m set up: Table A: Contains a list of events per location. For example, Location A on 1/1/2022, Location A on 1/2/2022, and so on where each location + event date is a unique row. I also created a formula field (Formatted Event Date) for the event date: DATETIME_FORMAT({Event Date},‘M/D/YYYY’) Table B: Contains a list of locations and a lookup on Table A for Formatted Event Date. I tried creating a rollup on Table A for Formatted Event Date using MIN(Values) but it’s returning all ‘0’. Is there a better way to rollup dates so that it’s formatted correctly??

Hi there! I have a “Campaigns” table and a “Schedule” table within the same base. My “Schedule” records are all linked to a campaign in my “Campaigns” table, for example: I have a “Product Launch” campaign in my “Campaigns” table, and in my “Schedule” table I have a record for a Product Launch email, Product Launch social post and Product Launch display ad. Every record in my “Schedule” table has an attachment to go along with it (creative/artwork). I would like for the attachments I add to a record in “Schedule” table to automatically duplicate into the “Campaigns” table, under the appropriate (linked) campaign. Using the same example as above, I would like my Product Launch email, social post and display ad attachments to automatically populate in the attachments field for the Product Launch record in my “Campaigns” table. Would I set this up as an automation? I know the answer has got to be right in front of me, just having a total mental block :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks in ad

Hello, Airtablers. I have a question regarding using the ‘Data Fetcher’ app to pull in data via API to a table and then updating that data. Basically, when I run the call it brings back the information on ~157 products in the database. We use this data to then sync into Webflow to populate an ecommerce menu. The challenge we have is that the products we have change fairly frequently and we’d like for the product to not show up when it’s no longer available. In Airtable, how could we get records in Airtable to be removed when an updated API call runs and those specific records are no longer returned (because they aren’t available). Any seeds of ideas greatly appreciated.
