I’m trying to add a column into my financial forecast that shows whether Column A + Column B = Column C. If the value in Column C doesn’t match I’d like it to show me that it’s incorrect. The formula I have so far is below but I can’t get around the error. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? I’m really struggling on working out how to create a formula for the above. For context, I have an AirBNB type operation whereby there is a check in + check out date for guests who stay which can sometimes be as long as a few weeks. I’m trying to figure out the best way to work out if a specific day falls between 2 dates so I can group data based on events & also calculate occupancy in a given month or event based on a property (e.g. if there’s a major event in a city on the 10th of February & there’s a checkin on 8th February & checkout on the 11th February, how to have that filter in as an “event booking”). Alternatively, with the same logic, if I want to separate “weekend bookings” from “midweek booking”, I’m happy to have a separate table where I manually input every weekend/event. Would greatly appreciate any ideas anyone might have on how to solve it

I have a scripting app that will post to a Discord channel hooked up to a button field. Works fine if I use it in my logged in Airtable environment, even in a Gallery view. However, when I share that same Gallery view outside of my logged in environment, the scripting app button shows as disabled. I didn’t have this problem when it was a URL button instead. I can’t find any documentation on this or anyone else having this issue. Thanks for any ideas or insights!

I have a form for a Contacts table that collects specific data. I have another table for Leads that I need to pull this data into. I already have it linked and that works fine. The problem lies when the form is submitted. I would like a way to auto-match this data. For example, the Contacts Table contains an “email address” field. The Leads table is set up to pull the Contact info from the new record into different sort options. As it stands right now, I have to go in and manually link the contact info. I thought that by adding an email address field into the Leads table I could somehow auto-match it. Any ideas? Thank you.

I would like to achieve the following: Multiply all the quantities inside Part List Output (2x, 8x, etc) by the Quantity value. So in the first row in the example provided I want to multiply all of the integers in the comma-separated strings by 6. I’ve mocked up a demo output in Calculated Part List. One complication to note - the strings can also contain integers that I do not want to target for calculations, eg. 1x Shelf 812mm. I can easily manipulate the Part List Output if necessary. For example, wrap in special characters: _2_ Large T Side with Holes, _2_ Large A Side, _1_ Large Base, _8_ Spring Clips Perhaps @ScottWorld has managed this?

Hello community - I’m a week on form ‘Hello World’ as far as scripting (and coding in general) is concerned so apologies if this is basic - one of my issues is knowing correct terms and without them it’s hard to search for answers. I’m creating a script app that adds a record to a table called ‘Characters’. Hi, I am trying to build a formula to properly calculate the cost for an order whose input is a multi-select field of products. The Products Table (includes lookup to the Line Items Table). The Orders Table (includes lookup to a Companies Table (not pictured)) The Line Items Table (includes lookup to the Products Table) I don’t know how to create the field for Total Cost in the Line Items Table to be able to calculate total cost dependent upon which products are linked. On the front end a user would select which products they wish to include in their order. Any pointers or reference to existing community content would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I have a Jotform survey flowing into my base per each response. In the survey, I have multiple “Check all the apply questions” that subsequently flow into multiple-select fields in Airtable. I am trying to connect a data visualization program to Airtable to visualize these responses, but the connect combines the row into a single string (i.e. “Option 1, Option 3”), which makes it difficult to visualize. Is there a way to have a field that puts a 1 if a selection is made, or a zero if not. I am trying to avoid making separate tables with available options, since my base already has a lot of tables (this is a big project). What I initially have: What I’m trying to achieve:

But I’m missing a subtly - the let instruction within my function results in this error - yet the same instruction (commented out in the screenshot) seems to work just fine - what am I not grasping?

Hi there, I have a rollup field - Field A - which displays items in an array using a comma separator. I retrieve the items using ARRAYUNIQUE(values). When I try and call this field in another field - Field B, this formula keeps the comma separator: {Field A} Produces: 1, 2, 3 When I try and add text to the formula, the commas are lost and the values aren’t separated but bunch into one long block of text: {Field A) & " Text" Produces: 123 Text Would anyone be able to help? How can I add the commas/separators back in between these values?

Hi!. I have built an automation that sends an onboarding email (in Outlook) to new customers who have signed up for my free 30-day trial. I would like to attach our Quick Start Guide (a .pdf) to each email. I would not like to have to attach the .pdf to each record individually. I have found some pages in the help guides that talk about this but they might as well have been written in Greek.(https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051028394-Send-an-email-Action ) I’m very experienced building workflows in Airtable, but can’t code worth a darn. I am trying to create a formula that will change a column to say Active or Inactive based on the numbers of days before an item expires. For example: I have contracts that expire over the next four years. When one of the contracts gets within 6 months of expiring I need a column to change to Active or Inactive. All of the Actives will be within 6 months of expiring Inactives will be anything valid for more then 6 months. I tried to use this formula I found in the forums and changed my expiration date column to Purchase Date just so the columns would match and it keeps telling me that it is an invalid formula. IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Purchase Date}, ‘days’) < 365, ‘Inactive’, ‘Active’). Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, I have been trying for days and looked through previous posts but haven’t been able to find an answer. I created a linked table that shows how many engagements (essentially projects) per client account. NOTE: all of these records are completely made up and using as examples! Client accounts may have both active and inactive engagements, because there might be more than one engagement (project) assigned to an account. But my objective here is to show the account’s status as ‘Active’ if there is at least one active engagement. I got to this point, but how can I default to ‘Active’ if the field contains both active and inactive?

Hi there, Let’s say I have a formula field - Field A - that produces a decimal value (e.g., 0.5). I use the formatting option within the formula field to display this value as a percentage. However when I call that field in another formula - Field B - it is displaying using the original decimal value. Is there a way to format my the ouput in Field B, so that it displays as a percentage value? Currently Field B is outputting data like: 0.5 0.8333334 0.2 I want Field B to output: 50% 83% 20% If anyone could help that would be much appreciated!

I track consignment items in Airtable. This is my consignment pricing structure: Day 0-29: Initial List Price Day 30-45: Initial List Price minus 15% Day 45-90: Initial List Price minus 25% Day 91: Expired What formula will auto-discount the initial price by the above amounts based on the date when the item sells? Can the entire cycle of auto-discounts be calculated in one column? What formula can be used to mark an item “expired” on day 91? - could this formula also be included in the same column as the auto-discount column? :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

I’m working on a rather bulky script, and because I’m trying to keep it clean I try and create functions for repetitive tasks. But it seems that using functions inside the scripting block also results in a poor logging behaviour in the output screen. I have an airtable table with 5 fields. But when I embed, it doesn’t show the last field in the card view. Only after clicking on the card item does the entire details show on popup. Is there a way to show all the fields in card view ?

Hi, having issues combining two different IF statements for contracts: IF(Phase=“ :inbox_tray: Lead”,“ :bell: ”) IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{Last Contact},‘days’) >= 7, “ :bell: ”) They both work separately but want to be able to combine them so that IF a contract is in Lead phase AND the last contact date was 7or more days ago, then follow up ( :bell: ). Every time I use the (AND) function, following the example here, it doesn’t work. Is it because the Phase field is a function?

Hello everyone. Sorry if this isn’t in the proper category or if the question seems newbie. I’m kind of new to Airtable and was wondering if there’s a way to automatically populate a field across a whole table based on a condition within a field in that table and/or in another table entirely. To simplify, I have a table with the following columns: Website Name, URL, and Categories. What I want to achieve is create a 4th column based on values within the Categories field. For example, if Categories field has “Laptops”, the 4th column would automatically populate with a text like “Source1, Source2”, etc. Is there a way to do this across the whole table and at the same time be able to edit the “Source” text to add more websites? Hello beautiful community! I hope you are doing well. I’m looking to optimize timesheets on airtable. I have almost everything set up, but, I am missing a feature: “cumulative time” / overtime. In fact I would like to have in the time bank who is the sum of the overtimes per employee over all periods to know how many hours the employee or the company owes (time balance) I was thinking of adding the SUM/Overtime by period and have it appear in the employee’s profile (Banque d’heure) Do you have any idea of the formula / process to do this? After that, From this bank of hours, the employee could with a form say: I take x hours for recovery. it makes sense? Thank you for your help!
