I have a base I am using for rehearsing a play. I have several tables including a character table, which I linked to the scene table, inputting which characters appear in each scene, finally linking a rehearsal table which has which scenes are being rehearsed on any given day. In the rehearsals table, I am trying to find any characters that will appear in any of the scenes rehearsed that day, without duplicates. I have tried a rollup command and a function command. I have played with ARRAYFLATTEN and ARRAYUNIQUE to no avail. Can anyone help?

We have a funding database that we update regularly for our charity members. On our website is an embedded gallery view that shows all the current opportunities, which incluldes links to the funders external websites - as shown here: Find funding | Community Southwark For our monitoring and record keeping I’d like to know how many users take action to visit those funders - is there any way of tracking this using airtable, or should I be looking at something like bit.ly for individual link tracking? Hi Everyone, I had previously accomplished this in Google Sheets, but since moving to Airtable, I’ve had a bit of trouble replicating it. We’re a dog training company, and want to count the number of packages that each trainer sells in a given month. My table has a column with a date field that contains when the package is sold, a column with the trainer’s name (a linked record to a trainer’s table), and a column if the package has been paid for. Previously in Google Sheets, I used a table that contained the date range for each month (ex. 1/1/22 to 1/31/22). The formula would see if the date the package was sold was between these dates, checked the trainer’s name matches, and if the payment contained the word “Paid”. Would love some help trying to get this working with Airtable :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you

I’m guessing this scenario has already been covered, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Feel free to point me to the relevant article if so. I’ve got 5 status fields, one for each of 5 teams. When a new project is added, the person adding needs to identify whether or not each team has any tasks to do in association with the project. If so, they pick “Yes”; if not, “No”. Then each team is responsible to update the status in the field from there. I want to create an AutoStatus column that put out the following: “In Progress”: if any of the team statuses is “In Progress” “On Hold”: if any of the team statuses is “On Hold” “Complete”: if all 5 statuses are either “Complete” or “No” (ignore "NA "- I’m taking that one out of the list) “Not Started”: if all 5 statuses are either “Yes” or “Reviewing” This level of complexity in formulas is beyond me at this point, but I’m confident that someone here will know how to do what I’m looking for! I currently have an IF statement formula nested into a longer SWITCH formula, and am looking for a way to modify it some. Currently it is IF({Total Order Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Total Order Sold Price}>= 15, {Sold Price} * .2)) I want to first check for data in the {Total Order Sold Price} field. If there is data, I want it to run this set of IF statements. If there is no data, I want it to run the same IF statements, with a slight modification: IF({Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Sold Price}>= 15, {Sold Price} * .2)) I’ve tried writing it a few different ways, the best I came up with is this: IF({Total Order Sold Price}, IF({Total Order Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Total Order Sold Price}>=15, {Sold Price} * .2))), IF({Total Order Sold Price}=BLANK(), IF({Sold Price} < 15, 2.95, IF({Sold Price}>=15,{Sold Price} * .2))) Nothing is working so far though. So im having an awful hard time trying to figure this out. I only need the price in “Monto Texto”, im trying very hard to get only the number but for some reason “Monto2 Cut” is not formatting into number. My other guess was that its the comma that makes it unable to treat it as a currency or number, so I created a third column where I deleted the comma and still no luck. Any help is appreciated. I just need to be a number to make some calculations.

I have a date field that imports like this: 2021-09-13 00:00 I need to extract the year and month and day from there … in different columns. Is there an automation for this?

Hi, I’m learning how to use the scripting block, not too successfully. I have tried to adapt the scripting block “select a record” and one from the thread about linked fields from @capt & @JonathanBowen but I can’t seem to get it to work. I am trying to copy the text output by a formula field (EQ3) into the text field Notes using a button. Any help or advice would be much appreciated! Hello everyone! I have an email address column. I want to create a formula column that will search each email domain for a specific text string; if that specific string exists, the formula column will print a pre-determined ID (also as a text/string). To illustrate: If an email address comes from abcd@paypal.com, input “PAYPAL” into the formula column. If an email address comes from zyxw@vrbo.com, input “VRBO.” I’ve tried combinations of Nested IF statements, SEARCH and FIND formulas, etc. but I’m stuck and would appreciate help. Hello Airtable Community! We have a situation where I am trying to create a “pass” of “fail” grade on wether or not an estimate was submitted by a certain date and time. Our table is structured as follows: There is a field called “24 Hour Deadline for Estimate” that is the deadline we are holding our estimator to as far as his deadline to submit to our customers. There are a few other fields that show the two different estimates and their correspond totals, as well as the roll up of the two types for a grand total. We also have two lookup fields that are filled out when we actually submit each type - “(MIT) Date Submitted (LU” and ““CON” Date Submitted (LU)” are these two fields. When our estimator submits one or the other on another table, he puts in the date. That is what these two fields are looking up. The ultimate goal of the formula that I am stuck on is to grade as “Pass” or “Fail” if we submit both of the estimates before the deadline. This field is named “Grade on 24 Hour Sub

Hello! I’m working with a client that currently uses an Airtable Form to collect data from applicants to a job posting. All fields are required in the form. We are receiving form submissions that have the email field or other fields completely empty. What is causing this? Does this happen when forms are refreshed or a tab is closed in a browser? I’m really not sure. I’m thinking it may be best for the client to use a third-party form, but I’m perplexed by this issue of empty required fields. Thanks for your help!

I have a field that is an entry field and that is part of a rather complicated page design, where I need to be able to trim away and spaces at the end of an entry as sometimes the user ads a whitespace I guess out of habit. Is this possible? I’ve been playing around with the TRIM() and SUBSTITUTE(), but I have a hard time finding a solution that’ll apply just to the end of the entry? Hello Friends! I’ve been getting very excited by the Gantt view! Especially the ability to push tasks and have all of the following tasks push with it. Hey everyone, here’s an advanced question: We have 4 AirTable bases, all of which have their own version of a table called “Sales”. I am currently centralizing the 4 different Sales tables by creating a 5th base which has the other 4 tables synced to it (via sharing the views with no filters). Let’s call this the Central Base. What we need to do now is to take specific columns for all 4 tables synced to the Central Base, and put them in a new table called “Central Sales”. Here’s an idea of how it would look like: So the “Client” column on all 4 other Sales tables would feed the “Client” column on the Central Sales table. This is what I don’t know how to do. Does the requirement make any sense? And if so, how would you do it? Thank you very much in advance

In our base, users can trigger an automation via a checkbox. When the box is checked, the automation creates a linked record in a different table and populates the fields with various text, form links, etc. The problem is if a user does the following we get duplicate linked records: checks the box…waits until the automation finishes unchecks the box rechecks the box, now for a second time How can we either prevent a duplicate linked record from being generated, can the automation check if a linked record exists before proceeding? Or is there a better trigger we can use that is one-directional, meaning it can only create the linked records once? I was able to do this with a button + scripting app, however they are not usable in Interfaces which is where we’re applying this functionality.

Hello there! I was just reaching out to see if there was a chance that someone, literally anyone can provide me with a BMI formula, please! I am trying to calculate BMI using height in inches and weight in pounds, and I’ve been searching for weeks for one that works, but it never accepts it. I’ve seen many articles and tips on conditional logic, but I don’t need it to tell me whether or not they’re overweight, I just need the actual BMI number. I’ve exhausted my personal and searchable resources, and since I’m also pretty new to this, when I DO find a formula that I think may work, I have trouble converting it from kg and meters or centimeters… I would be VERY grateful for a formula that I can copy and paste into the formula spot. Hello to the community, And happy 2022 for everyone who reads this topic :winking_face: Maybe I’m the only one to face this situation but I’ve created a pretty simple formula field which should provide a simple 1/0 boolean answer based on 3 conditions. One of those conditions is if one linked field to another table (Order_ID) is still blank/empty. IF(AND({Payment Status}!=“paid”,Order_ID=BLANK(),REGEX_MATCH(Email, “(\W|^)[\w.\-]{0,25}@[A-Za-z0-9.-]+\.[A-Za-z]{2,}(\W|$)”)=1),1,0) Guess what ? It doesn’t work. I’ve also tested the NOT(Order_ID) based on what I’ve read and it doesn’t work either BUT it works on a separate formula cell (see below the second line) : Other 2 conditions work perfectly. Hi! I’ve just started using Airtable, and I had a question about using an automation to change something. Right now, I would like for my completion date field to change to the current date/time once the state field is changed to “done”, but the only trigger that is there in the automation menu would trigger regardless of what the state has changed to. Would there be a way to do this with automations or would I have to find an alternate way to execute this?

Individuals in my organization have shared some bases with me which show up in the Bases Shared With Me workspace, but I would like to move them to different Workspaces that correspond with the topic of the shared bases. I do not see how to move a Based from Shared With Me to other workspaces.

Since a few days, all my items in calendar view are viewed as a one hour item. Even if they were noted for a longer duration before. Usually I could extend the duration by drag the item at the bottom. This is now impossible. There is an end date and time set, but even with an end time longer as an hour noted, the item stays as one hour. In the expand view I can see the end time and it’s longer than one hour. This is most annoying since some items have a duration of a whole day, and I need to see that so I know that I can’t plan anything else that day.

Hey Community! I am working on multiple DBs for integrating clients into a shared DB universe. I am working on a menu ordering system for a ghost kitchen. Is there a way to update the form UI to include the relevant information from the record. Right now for an external user it only shows the formula ID(menu category, size, price) It excludes the descriptor and other relevant info we may attempt to include (photos from a gallery view) Any advice? This Status field has the following options: Awaiting Information (Outreach 1) Awaiting Information (Outreach 2) Awaiting Information (Outreach 3) On Hold Each of these options has its own date field connected to an automation that date-stamps when the option is selected in Status. Outreach 1 Date Outreach 2 Date Outreach 3 Date On Hold Date I need 1 formula that returns a date with the following considered: If Status = Awaiting Information (Outreach 1), add “2” business days to Outreach 1 Date. If Status = Awaiting Information (Outreach 2), add “2” business days to Outreach 2 Date. If Status = Awaiting Information (Outreach 3), add “3” business days to Outreach 3 Date. Hi all! I’m trying to create a %Complete column in a project table that includes several single-select fields used to track 1. whether or not a particular team has tasks associated with the project, and 2. what that team’s progress is on those tasks if so. I’m thinking what I need to do is create a formula column for each one of these, assigning a number to the values selected, a column that totals these up, and a column that calculates the % complete by dividing the total complete by the total that needs to be complete. Maybe use the SWITCH formula to assign numeric values? I just don’t know how to set up conditional formulas that complex at this point. Can anyone help me? Thanks very much!
