I have a table with dates of vacant shifts (let’s call it “Vacancies”). I have a second table to collect form responses for folks who sign up to fill vacant shifts (“Sign-ups”). T he dates in the Vacancies table are set to the Friendly date format. In the Sign-ups table, there is a linked field to the Vacancies, so when a user completes a form, they can see the vacant shifts and select shifts to cover for… Now here’s the problem: when a user selects the drop-down of available dates, they are in this horrid format and I don’t see anywhere I can change it… Does anyone know how I can get the form to display the friendly date format or a form user? It feels silly that I haven’t found how to change it and, if I can’t, then this form isn’t going to work out to fulfill the function I need it for :frowning:

For example table 1 has columns: Email, FB, LI. (which we can refer as Contact Channels) Applicant 1 has only Email and FB accounts Applicant 2 has Email, FB, and LI accounts In table 2 I wanted to create a contact channel dropdown list. Is it possible to have the list depending only on what’s inputted in table 1? For example, applicant one should only have 2 choices in the dropdown while applicant 2 should have 3. Or is there any way that it will automatically list down the channels instead of the dropdown list once the applicant added fields in Table 1 columns?

Hello, I’m creating a maintenance schedule but I’m having difficulties create a formula that shows me the “due status” based on how many days ago an item was serviced. Individual item have different frequency of service: Monthly, Quarterly, Annually, and so on. I have a single select field that dictate the frequency for each type or maintenance. I was able to create a formula to calculate cost using a base cost * how often we perform it, but I’m having trouble applying it to idea I’m trying to perform. What I’m trying to do is IF an item was serviced today, and its frequency is MONTHLY, It will be “On Time” for 30 days, by the 25th to 29th day it will “Be Due Soon”, On the 30th day it will be “Due today”, and on the 31st or passing the 31st day will be “Overdue”. This is what I kind of have but it’s probably wrong.

I have a single select field named “STATUS” and I want to configure a button that would copy a record with all the following attributes and then make that new duplicate record’s STATUS set to “Voucher Re-Issued”. Hi guys, I need help because have an issue because with a Gmail > Send email automation… On the technical part it works quite well! However since I’ve been using this Automation, my collaborators are telling me that my emails are received in spams! Internally, that’s not a problem because they added me to their ‘not spam list’ but it is a huge issue as I use them for recontacting my leads and clients… Do you know what I can do ? I have a multi-select field that has a large number of choices. I have decided it would be better to separate them into different categories (fields). Is there a way to do this? I have a master list of choices in a separate table (if that helps). These choices have a name and a description and a category. Is it possible to do something like this: Category 1 Field Look at the main select fields and find all choices. Look at the master choice list and find the choice name that matches the category. Place the choice that matches the field category into the field. I am on a free plan and have no access to paid tools. I signed into a collaborator’s account today and noticed that my personal views can be seen. This is not normal, right? See photo below. I checked my account to see if I could see the collaborator’s personal views on my account and I cannot. Hope this issue can be resolved quickly. I have an open-access data collection form that my members can fill in. Members are in different organisations with their own email domain. I want to be able to restrict views of the results by domain so that people can only see the responses from others in their organisation - which Airtable lets me do via the restrictions options built in to the view. So I created a View, gave it the name of the company in question and restricted the view by domain. However when somebody is invited to collaborate on the base they just see everything in the table/view and the view itself isn’t restricted by domain - I think the difference between being invited as a full base collaborator (with commenter permissions) and simply having a link to a view without being invited to to the base. I believe I need these members to be collaborators, as opposed to simply being sent a link. If they only had a link to a restricted view they wouldn’t (necessarily) have an Airtable account and the domain-restricted

Hello, I’m relatively new to Airtable, so I have a question if something I’m doing can be improved: I have a base where I am counting the number of checked boxes (so far so good) However, I will create a large number of bases where the task name varies and won’t be a simple Task1 etc. Is there a way to count the no. of checked boxes without referencing the Task1, but something along the lines of referencing the cells (like in excel) This way I can just duplicate the base and change the “task” name for each base as needed, without needing to change the formula all the time. But the formula would work regardless of what the task name is. Thanks!

I have set up and automation to email a client when their job is marked as done, and it is working. However, I just want to make it more intuitive if possible. Currently - When marked as done and there is an email in the ‘client email’ field there is an email generated, in the email I reference job title, notes etc (all pulled from data in the table) I would like - 2 emails set up, email ‘a’ gets sent if there is a url in the url field filled in the job. email ‘b’ gets sent if there is NOT a url in the url field in the job data. Hopefully I am explaining that correctly. So I know how to do the automation, I have one working well, I just want some more detail and not sure how to add the additional conditions, or if I need two automations set up and only the one matching the specific condition would be triggered.

Good morning, I’m discovering the automations, with sending an email when a record matches a defined condition - so far so good. But the little problem (or limit I should say) is that I have multiple tables with many entries, and I’d like to add some details to the email sent: at least the table / base name, and ideally some way to identify the concerned record, with for example the first or second column value. Yesterday was the first time in over two years I experienced a bug in Airtable. Data in 3 columns has inexplicably disappeared. The data is all intergers. The summations at the bottom of the columns is still correct I just cannot view the data anymore. Any thought on recovering my data, I think it must be still thereI just am unable to view it. all other columns about 20 of them appear to be working fine. thanks

Hello :slightly_smiling_face: I have created two tables, one with projects and one with tasks which link to the projects. In the projects table I have the tasks shown as well, but I’d like the tasks to show up as “Task1✅”, “Task2❌” - depending on completed or not, which will be determined in the task table. I know I can’t override a linked column, but I wanna know how I can adjust the formula in the tasks table, if I want the Task name to update according to the checkbox done/not done. I tried various formulas from a past thread (IF({Completed}, “ :heavy_check_mark: ”, “ :x: ”) & " " & {Name}) but they never seemed to work… Anyone got an idea? :slightly_smiling_face:

I am working on the intake of roster information for Wildfire Firefighters. We have availability beginning and end dates that we could see might need to be changed. I would like to allow an individual to make a change to just their information after they have submitted an intake form. Submitted info goes into a grid view that will be displayed on a pw protected site for high ranking logistics officers to access. One option is to have someone submit their changes via a change request form. The change would be sent to an admin and they would update that. But I’m looking for a way for someone to control their own info without the use of an admin in the middle. Thoughts?

Notice: I am on a free plan and do not have access to any paid tools by Airtable or another company. I am trying to export airtable data in a csv. The place I am importing to cannot recognize “drop down” menu options. I need to extract about 100 dropdown menu options* and format them thusly in a “text” field ["value1", "value2"] *When I mention options I am talking about all the options in the dropdown menu, not just the ones selected and displayed. I don’t know if this is possible, but if anyone knows a workaround that would be awesome. It would save me the hassle of having to type them all out with that formatting. :dizzy_face:

Automation is setup too append a row to a Google Sheet. All of the values (text, dates) will populate within the sheet row, except for the numerical score values when the automation is running. However, if I run test automation with the same record, the numeric value will populate into the column. The scoring numeric values in AirTable are single select based on automated triggers to specify to a certain score. I have tried changing the column data format on the google sheet with no success. I have tried to change the triggers as well as adjusting the value lookup but still will not work unless I run a manual test. Any ideas on what I maybe missing?

Hi there :slightly_smiling_face: I’m trying to batch update a date field in a specific view. The new dates are coming from a formula field (I’ve assumed the output of the formula field in the scripting app is a date because it’s formatted as such in the table). It runs with no errors but the dates aren’t actually being updated in the table and I’m not sure why. If anyone can pick up from my code why it isn’t updating, I would really appreciate it.

So I have a multi-select field that has about 50 or so options. I want to take those options and surround them with quotation marks, separated by a comma. I tried using the SUBSTITUTE, but I couldn’t get it to work the way I wanted without duplicating the field a few times. I did something similar to below, but now I have three extra columns in my table…heh. SUBSTITUTE({Calculation},", ",",\\"") I am wanting to take this: and turn it into this: [“Pet Doll”,“Chubby”,“Child”,“Wings”,“Horns”,“Round Face”,“Pointed Ears”] Complete with brackets on each end. How would I go about doing this? I don’t know if scripting will work because I’m trying to import my airtable into another service and in order for those choices to be recognized as tags, they have to be formatted as you see above. So the field has to have that data in it. I have hundreds and hundreds of rows, so doing it by hand is not an option.

Hi, I was wondering: Do all scripting apps count against my app limit of my plan? For example in Pro Plan => 10 apps per base So when I have 10 scripting blocks inside one base I am already on the limit? If so, does the fact, that there are 2 paying users change this limit to 20? I want to send a message to a Slack channel based on the message in an airtable cell. And I want it to trigger when its the date in another column. I can’t seem to find an automation in Airtable or Zapier that triggers on a certain date, just at regular intervals (daily, weekly, etc) Any help would be appreciated! Thank you
