Hi everybody, we are a small French NGO supporting family carers. We use Airtable since last year. We need to develop simple online training courses for carers : do you know with which LMS (Learning Management System) Airtable can interconnect ? Is there any you would recommend ? We need something quite simple - to push video contents & have simple quizz and interactions - and cheap (or free) ! Thank you for your reply! Helene

I’m not very sure this is achievable or not. Basically I want to automatically order all records sequentially all the time even i Reorder them. I have auto-number field. when I insert new record anywhere or move existing record I want to maintain the sequence, but that was not happening in Airtable. Am I missing any formulae or anything else?

Hi all! So I’m trying to make things a little easier for our Training Team and automating their Class Agenda creation process. Currently I have 3 tables in the base: Classes, Agendas, and Class Agenda Templates. Using automations, I am able to select a template in the Classes table (through a linked record field) that generates all agenda items for the given class in the Agenda table. Each agenda item created is also linked to the specific class through the linked record field. I’ve gotten as far as you can see in the screenshot of the Agenda table below. I’m trying to figure out a solution that will allow me to use the Start Time (given) of the first Agenda Item along with the Duration field to generate the start and end time for each topic throughout the day. I’m aware that I will most likely need to create and use formula fields as well. Any help is appreciated!

Hi there! I’m trying to develop a base to manage my company’s work and break out tasks effectively. We create artistic assets for clients, where each asset involves multiple stages of production (each stage roughly corresponding to a discrete task). I’ve created in my base an “Assets” table and a linked “Tasks” table - for ease of use, I was in search of an automated way to batch create multiple records linking “Tasks” to specific assets. I found the “Create child linked records script,” which is a great solution for this. However, this script only creates empty records (excepted for the linked field) - after records are batch created, I need to go in and manually enter the stage of production for each new task record from a single-select field. I’m wondering if there’s a way to further automate this function by “templating” the script so that it creates a record for each production stage? This would be especially helpful, as we create multiple different asset types that involve differ

Hi there, I have a base with the following tables Issue Log (All incoming issues raised) Issue type (All issues and how many times the can occur before an action is taken) Users (All the users linked to a specific issue) I am trying to do the following. a) User fills out the form logging a specific type of issue for a specific user. b) I am looking at the number of times the specific type of issue can be logged before an action needs to be taken. Where I am having trouble is the following I want to know for that user how many times the specific issue has been linked to them to determine wether to take an action. Ideally I’d like to do thing using something like a COUNTIFS based on the user and the number of times the specific issue being logged has occurred for that user. The two fields I want to conduct the rollup for Rather than having the total issues related for a specific shopper I want the number of times that specific issue has occurred for a shopper. I tried to use csv import but apparently it doesn’t support importing to long text fields. I have 1100 records I need to populate a long text field for and I would prefer to not attempt a copy and paste here with such a wide margin for error. Has anybody scripted this? I have the data to import in both xlsx and csv format, ready to go, just need to find a way to get it there intelligently and don’t see anything on the market right now.

Hi Folks, I have a Zapier Zap that is working beautifully to create invoices in Craftmypdf and then email them, but I have noticed a problem. The Airtable view I get the data from has a rollup field that is a sum of charges in another table, a currency filed that contains any money due from previous months and a formula filed that adds those 2. In Zapier I use the dictionary function to assign the value in the field Due to a key, also named due but the value is no longer 51.90 but 51.900000000000006 Is Airtable passing this or is Zapier corrupting it? What can i do about it?

Hi, For each record, I have a start date (Date de parution) and an end date (Date 6 mois). They unique to every record. I want to count how many we have sold of every record within those date (Sales are in the Ventes 2021 tab, which is already link to my working tab). I cannot filter by a Date field, it seems. Hi everyone, I’m a new user on airtable and I would like to create a table which contains a number field type, but when I run the script, I got this notification : We have a table A containing the list of clients we work with and each client has their own table. So when we add a new record in this table A, we are supposed to create a new table for this new client, that’s why we need this script. I have a base with a “multiple select” field type — and I would like to update some of the fields based on data from a CSV import. I’ve looked into three angles… As I understand it, CSV imports can’t update a field, just override it. But my fields have existing data that I want to add to, not override. It’s also not possible to merge fields (if I were to import the data into a new column, I couldn’t combine with the existing data). Because I only want to update certain records, I can’t do a batch update (which would apply to all fields). Am I misunderstanding any of these pathways — or is there something else I don’t know about yet? Thank you!

Hello everyone, I am trying to use workday_diff function to calculate whether my team is able to process orders within specified TAT or not. and hence needs to calculate workdays. We have a column that tracks date created ({Date Created})for any order and another column that tracks last modified time to track how much time we took to finish the order ({Date Completed}). Hence the formula is : WORKDAY_DIFF({Date Created},{Date Completed}) But the output counts weekends too and the output is same as using DATETIME_DIFF. Please help me figure it out.

My organization (10-ish folks) is having problems buying into the value of more diligently managing contacts in Airtable. Airtable has been made the primary technology in the org, along with the Google ecosystem. However, it’s highly likely that a good % of the org is not updating info in a timely manner nor adding new contacts. I’m interested in discussing any good hacks that might allow the team to more easily initiate contact data updates in the flow of the vast majority of tools they use (gmail, gdocs & zoom). I had one idea to set up an automation involving Make and Airtable, where a team member can bcc an internal gmail address when communicating with a person (contact) they want to add/update info for. Make could parse the info from the email header fields and add a record in an Airtable base. Hi! I’m working on an airtable script where I’m trying to re-link records that were previously linked in another base. Context: I shared two tables from an OLD base to a NEW base. These tables had records that were linked(in the old base). After sharing them to the NEW base, the links got lost. I’m now trying to re-link these records. I have two tables, “Companies” and “People”. The “Companies” table has fields with the company name and employees. The “People” table has fields with people’s names and their affiliated company. Greetings Airtable Community! I have a base with 6 tables that is shared with two collaborators. The most frequently used “master” table—named Events—is at the far left of the upper tab structure. Each time I open the base, this “master” table is selected. However, when my collaborators open the base, another less important table is selected. Is there a way to force the base open to a specific table? Thank you!

Feel like I’m missing something obvious…Trying to link records and for some reason my linked field is showing unnamed record…

Hello, I am trying to create an automation that would take a new record in my Table 2, and find the respective record in Table 1 and link the two together. For example: In table 2, I have a new record, John Smith, that has been added. In table 1, I should have a record, John Smith, with a different set of data. I want to make sure that in Table 2, John Smith is a linked field from Table 1, to connect the Table 1 data to Table 2 data without manually having to do this each time. I was referencing this article, but the struggle I’m hitting is that the “find record” action is never the same. It is all variable to what the Table 2 record ID is and then it should find the equivalent in Table 1. Do i need to use a script to find record that matches the table 1 record in table 2? I’ve never used scripts before within automations, so help would be appreciated! Any ideas?

Hi! I am totally stuck here, so maybe I can ask you guys where I went wrong. I have the following situation as in this demo base: Airtable Demo220708 - Airtable Explore the "Demo220708" base on Airtable. In the first table I have different investments as rows with their total values for different periods as columns: Everything is great and I can see the total sum of all investments in the bottom row. Now my question - how do I get the total of each column into the period summary? I.e. The problem is that I cannot use rollup - because that is linked to a specific column, hence I get the same sum for all periods. Thanks in advance… :pray:

i have two tables that are linked. People and Service. Many different People Records can be linked to one Service Record. Additionally, one People Record can be linked to more than one Service Record. Service Records include date fields- Start & End. i would like to display a list of all of the People Records who are linked to any Service Records that fall within a specific date range. i want the list to show each People Record individually, with some key information from both their People Record and the associated Service Record. (e.g. from People Record- name, cell phone, emergency contact; from Service Record- country, start date, end date). i tried creating a junction table, but when i used the fancy junction table script i realized that was a big mistake. i also tried building an automation that triggers when a Service Record enters a view (filtered for the date range i’m aiming at), it creates a record in a different table and lists the people. Hi there, I am struggling with a trigger, that should add all possible IDs from another table’s row to a specific record. When activated, the ‘visibility_all’ trigger should fill in all possible regions via an automation: Screenshot 1: The automation method I use is “When a record matches conditions”, see here: Screenshot 2: Everything works perfectly as long as I add the IDs manually from the other table, see here: screenshot 3: screenshot 4: My question: Is there a way I can solve this not only more elegantly but maybe completely dynamic via either the correct way to use this automation or via script?
