Hello Community, I need help with one task that should help us save lots of time. We have two tables with attachment field in both tables. One table is called Appointments where we upload an invoice in the attachment field called "Invoice" and another table is called "Contacts" where we store all invoices in the field "All Invoices" for a certain contact. What we are trying to do: When an invoice added to attachment field in "Appointments", we want a copy of this invoice to automatically go to a dedicated attachment field in "Contacts". When I try Gemini AI help, the answer was like this: Airtable doesn't currently offer a built-in way to automatically copy attachments between fields when one is updated. However, you can achieve this using a combination of scripting and automations. Here's a general approach:1. Hi all, I was wondering if you could help me create a formula that would output an alphanumeric ID based on variables in other cells in the row. I'd like to create an ID that include:First, if Cell A = xYx then add "Z" to start. If Cell A = YxY then add "ZD" to start.Then, take first letter from name and surname, and then add these. So John Smith becomes JSThen, add first 4 digits from date field (DOB). So, 14/11/1980 becomes 1411So, as an example, ZDJS1411.Thanks so much community!

Hi Airtable Community,I have a base with different automations with the same trigger. I would like to set an order by with these automations are triggered.For example, I would like Automation one to be triggered first. After automation 1, the automation 2 should start immediately.the easiest would be, to just add another “Find records” and another Repeating Group in this automation. Unfortunately, its not possible to add anything behind a repeating group.I Want specific phases and tasks for projects to be generated. Both needs to be linked to the project and the tasks should be linked to the phases. To do so, I need the phases to be created first (trigger=new project meets condition). After that, I need the tasks to be created and linked to the phases. When both automations start at the same time, some of the tasks are not properly linked because the phase was not created yet. I'm trying to set up an automation in Airtable and could use some help. Here's what I'm aiming to achieve:Scenario: I have two tables in my Airtable base:Table A (Products): This table contains product records.Table B (Orders): This table contains order records, each of which is linked to a product from Table A.Goal: Whenever a new record is created in Table A (Products), I want to automatically update a linked record in the same Table with the same product name (Products).Issue: I'm unsure how to set up the action to update the linked record in Table A with the same product name  (Products).Could someone guide me through the steps to set up this automation in Airtable? I'm really hoping this can be accomplished without needing to create yet another formula field, so I'll give details below and see where I get. 🙂I have fields for start and end dates and then a formula that calculates the duration between them, including when the end date is blank and then it just keeps counting from the start. I want to have a chart show this data on an interface, but I don't want every single value showing uniquely on the chart if possible.Instead, I'd like to have it group them into buckets for things like 0-30 Days, 31-90 days, 90+ days, but I can't see any way to do that intelligently within the interface. My fear is that I'm going to need a formula field that gathers this at the table level and then point the pie chart to that field instead of the duration field.Anyone have a suggestion for the best way to accomplish this kind of reporting? Can't seem to find this on the community board, but if it has already been answered - I'd appreciate a link. I have Projects and Subprojects. The latter being the child. So there are a few Subprojects for every Project. On the other hand, I have Project managers. I want to have a "Tasks" table with all the tasks assigned to Project managers. My issue is that I want tasks to be EITHER created related to the Subproject, OR related to the main Project. The same exact relationship issue I encounter is when I have "Payments". A payment can be to a subcontractor - and therefor related to a Subproject. OR a payment can be to a Sales agent who brought the Project - and then it would be to the project. If I create two tables for these (i.e. "Project Tasks" and "Subproject Tasks" or "Project Payments" and "Subproject Payments") then it really just duplicates a lot and it also makes it impossible to create a normal interface to see all tasks assigned to me

Earlier today, I deleted some value options from one of my single-select fields (Team Type) in one of my tables - I did not do anything else like delete the field, change its type, or change any field permissions. Now in the Interface builder, a Grid element linked to that table is grayed out with the error message "Field "Team Type" was changed and can no longer be selected". I have hidden and unhidden Team Type from the grid Fields list, and gone into Edit it and then Saved it without making further changes, but nothing I've tried is working. I made this change a while ago, so it is impossible to go back and literally undo the actual option deletion action I did, and the change is necessary for our data so I don't want to return the data to its previous state anyway. Does anyone know what is happening here and how I can restore my grid? Thank you for anything you can offer!

Probably a simple solution, but I can not figure it out. I am using the following script to try to get a list of all of the records in a specific table.let table = base.getTable("Codes");let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync();console.log (query) When I run this, I get the following error O: No field with ID fldwfud1d0wv3rdVD in table 'Codes' at main on line 2When I run this same coding using one of the other tables, it works as expected. Any ideas on how to fix this? It is getting in the way of the larger script I am trying to write.

Hi,I have seen a few posted questions that are similar to my scenario, but I need more specific assistance. I am trying to update my Appointments grid view records when someone cancels their appointment that they've scheduled through Calendly. I have tried to create the right formulas for record look up in Zapier and Airtable Automations, but they keep coming up empty. In Zapier, it looks like it might be a multi-step search which is only available on paid plans and I really don't want to have to pay for another subscription to do what might be possible in Airtable alone. Please help! Longtime Airtable user, but limited experience with Interfaces.My regular workflow has three browser windows open at once:Window 1: Shows the fields of one record from Table AWindow 2: Shows a filtered view of the records in Table BWindow 3: Shows a filtered view of the records in Table CIs there a way to create a single interface to show these things?

I would really like the ability to group related tabs within a base - it would make our database so much tidier and easier to navigate. Thus far I can see no such function. Does it exist, and if not, how can I suggest such a function to them? 

I think this is a fairly straightforward process, but I am unable to figure out how to do this. I have 2 excel sheets imported. One is Product Master List, one is Inbound Shipment. The Product Master List contains Code, Product Name, UOM, while Inbound Shipment contains Delivery Number, Code, and shipping date. I just need to add a lookup field in the Inbound Shipment, to look into the Product Master List for the Product Name. Just want to make sure I'm not crazy, because it sure seems like extra work for what could be available . 

Is there a way to switch back to the old home screen dashboard UI? Maybe it's just me but I found it far better organized and a superior UX overall

The single select dropdown works great, but in the embed view, the single select dropdown doesnt exist. As in, there is no dropdown feature. Any ideas?   

How do I convert a duration into seconds?I would like a formula for the "Seconds" column that automatically calculates this. Understand this is probably so basic, but would appreciate any help. Thank you!

 Hi!     I sucessfully imported tickets from JIRA to AirTable. They are synced and working fine, but...     My JIRA registers have 342 columns in it and olny 85 columns are imported.     I don't need all 342 columns in my AirTable dashboard, but I'd like to select some fields I want or, at least, select some of them.     Is there a way to import all fields or to select the ones I want?Sync overview articles (airtable.com)  Thank you

Hi!     I use a JIRA Cloud and successfully synced it to AirTable, it is working fine (#1), but...     In JIRA I have 342 columns and only 85 columns was imported to Airtable using the “All fields in the source” option (#2).     Using the “Specific fields in the source” option, I have only 77 fields to select (#3).     It is not necessary to have all 342 columns in Airtable, but I need some of the missing ones.     I'd like to select some of these missing fields or, at last, to have all 342 columns to manage in AirTable     Is there a way to import all fields or to select (from the all available in JIRA) the ones I want?FURTHER:Getting started with Airtable sync | Airtable SupportAirtable Sync Integration Jira Cloud | Airtable Support            I read these two posts and did not found any restriction in the quantity of the columns.&

I am building an interface to enter newly received seed inventory.The seed of the same variety of the same or different vendors can be received multiple times. So the variety field of the inventory form is a linked record to a sheet "variety". The person entering inventory must match the seed and the vendor in the linked record, but the form interface only shows the primary column "variety" not the vendor and there appears to be no option to show more fields  of linked records like in other interface options.Additionally, if it is a new seed, or from a new vendor, I would like users to be able to enter a new variety via another form, when entering inventory records. But it doesn't appear that on the inventory form, I cannot add another form in it for a new variety.My solution for now will be to use a list view and have users click into records. But its not as clean

I have several automations with the trigger of "new row created in Google sheets". The action is for the data from Sheets to create a new record in AT. "Test automation" works fine. But then the automation works SOMETIMES! It wasn't running at all. Then all of a sudden, it will pull in a record. Yesterday it pulled in every record I created. Now it's doing almost nothing. I have tried it with Google Form submission as a trigger also - same problem.I really can't pay for another service to do this. I had this working last year, now can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Thank you for your help!

Hi,I have a to-do list table that I want to share a view of it with a collaborator so that she can add her own tasks and create a new, bigger table for a project that both of us are working on.This is how I do it:First, I created a new base where I added her as a collaborator. In this base, I created a synced table from my own to-do list table. To merge with her tasks, I created a project table in the same base and created an automation (when a record is created in the synced table, create a record with all the fields in the project table). This works well.Secondly, I want it to update records in the project table whenever the to-do list table is updated. However, it seems that I’m not able to find Record IDs for the automation to update records. I know how to create a field containing record IDs in the synced table and make them appear in the project table, but not the other way around.I created an invite link here so you can see what I’ve done.

Hi,I am using AT for the CRM purposes. I've got a list of proposals we're working on within my Proposals Table: https://airtable.com/appGL773TiIYzLwZD/shrzetl6rN5gnxAYzNow, what I'd love to calculate is: based on the stage selected (and % probability assigned to it) and proposal value, I'd like to calculate probability value.So if stage = "Proposal + SOW submitted (50%)" then, it's 50% of the value.Do I need to create another table for the probability? Have my stages outlined, then % and create a formula within my 'proposals' to calculate it?Thank you!

If I use this formula:IF({Whole-Body Conditions}!=BLANK(), {Whole-Body Conditions}, "") & IF({Body: Left Foot}!=BLANK(),CONCATENATE(", ", {Body: Left Foot}), "")I get this result when {Body: Left Foot} is NOT empty, WHICH IS WHAT I WANT: But when {Body: Left Foot} is EMPTY, I get this result that has an extra COMMA:When I take out the comma in the second IF statement, then there's no commas at all whether or not {Body: Left Foot} is empty.So... what's up with that? Shouldn't it ONLY put the comma IF there's content in {Body: Left Foot}? 

I'm new-ish to AirTable formulas (though experienced with spreadsheet formulas) and I have a unique situation where I would like to calculate a calendar date based on a combination of units that include Frequency (eg, monthly or weekly), Day of Week (Mon, Tue, etc.), and Week# of Month.For example:  X event occurs every three months on the third Weds of that month. These schedules are variable by record (it's a client service schedule), so some clients are serviced once per week while others are serviced once every other month, etc. The goal is to show at least the next service date after today (and if possible, all future service dates throughout the year) on a calendar view. But I cannot just add a number of days or weeks to calculate the next date because the schedule needs to place service events on the particular week/day/month combo.I do not have a starting formula yet because I'm not sure what logic is needed to pull together the variables. I’ve done some research but haven’t been able to come up with an answer. Using softr.io, stacker or any other alternative… can you have an ‘embeded’ table where the data can be changed. Basically, I want the full functionality of the airtable ‘table’ / ‘view’ to be in a client portal, a long with other items such as invoices etc./ Thanks in advance,
