Hello! I have the below table that list Rooms with the associated Furniture and Accessories that belong in them. I would like to be able to filter on a field in a separate table for Client ID. The thing is because I’m keeping track of Rooms over time for each client, multiple Client ID names display when I link the below table to the other table for Client ID. I tried to filter on 1 particular client’s name for Client ID, I could also see the other clients that have used the same type of furniture pieces. I only want to see information for 1 person. I hope this makes sense. Is there a way to make this happen?

HI, I want to be able to select multiple records in a base and update a field in all selected records. I’m thinking this will probably need a script where I can enter a value and then push a button to update all selected records with that value. Has anyone done this or have an idea to get me started please? Thanks

Hello, I have been invited as an editor of another user's database. I pay for the team plan, and the other user does as well. However, the creator of the database is being charged for having me as an editor. Is this correct? If I already pay for the team plan, why does he have to pay for giving me permission to be an editor in his database?

I can't believe a very simple feature in excel/google sheets is missing here in formulas when it comes to subtracting two numbers and if it's negative - show the number in one color, and if it's positive - show the number in another color so I have a pretty simple setupField 1:  Cal+/-Formula is: 2300 - Cal   results will be a number Less than 0, 0 or greater Formula is:  If({Cal+/-} < 0, ??, ??)What do I use in the ?? to show less than 0 in red  or 0, greater than 0 in green  

Can I hide a table view from the editors? I only want the creator to be able to view that table. Is it possible?How can i do it?Thank you!

Hola AirtableforceoneFirstly, if anyone wants to know how to extract helpscout images from threads and then send them to dropbox and then over to Airtable .  will share that here. Thats 8 hours of my life gone but it's easy now Iknow.BUT - one last question. Right at the very end. How do I fix this?I have Make/Integromat adding an image to an airtable row by providing a URL (Ps, I made a public one of course, used drop box yadayada).But when I upload the image, it deletes all the images in that row rather than just adding another. Cant find any switches of settings for it. Any ideas? Seriously, Make is so far more detailed than Zapier but this last piece is a killer.

 I have a database with 3 tables - clients, line items, Invoices.I would like to have a form where a client can add line items and then at the end of each month an invoice for each client would be created (if possible automatically add a record to the invoice table) including a rollup of only the items that were added that month and for that client.I haven't found a way of doing this so any suggestions would be much appreciated! 

Hello, I am trying to take one column with a day/hour field (Start Date) and use a Single-Select (Time zone) to create an updated day/hour column. Currently, I use New York time on all the other dates but I need to be able to see a different version of the time in cases when I am collaborating with people internationally. Time zones would be ‘Africa/Laos’,‘Africa/Maputo’,‘Africa/Nairobi’ etc. Any help would be much appreciated! Edit: I have looked at this sample base and get what it’s trying to do, but I don’t know how to alter it for my purpose.

I am trying to set a simple automation but for some reason It does not work and I cannot make anything out of what the error is giving by Airtable: Updating the record failed.For more context, I have a formula field that is concatenate from multiple text fields and I want to have a multi-select field that is pasted from the aforemention formula field. The purpose of this is to have tags type as well as remove the duplicated tags.Let me know if you have any suggestion. Thanks!

Wonder if anyone has something that works for this... I'm creating discrete events in a base, and I want to automate the process of turning the data points into a .ics file and attaching it to the record in an attachment field. It's a bit like this walkthrough  but instead of using Make to attach the .ics into an email, I want to return the file to the Airtable record's attachment field. Then anyone who has access to the record can download and save the calendar entry to their own calendar. Per that walkthrough I was trying to get Make.com to do this but I keep running into Bundle Validation Errors, and I'm wondering if there's a way for Airtable to handle this inside the base via scripting.

I am trying to create an email report where I use the automation flow below: At a certain time > Find Records > Outlook: Send Email I’m using the “Find Records” action to search for where a checkbox is flagged, then using those records to input a grid or a list into the email. The issue is that I can’t reorder the fields or sort the list/grid it creates. Is there either, another way to do this WITHOUT A THIRD PARTY APP, or is there something I’m missing that allows you to sort records/reorder fields?

I’ve created a base for managing a complex calendar at my institution. I’ve created simple table and calendar views for collaborators, but I also have a table view that is strictly for exporting csv files so I can upload the events to our website since there are strict rules for formatting, etc. All of the events have to have categories, some of which have up to three. I’ve created a multiple select field (“Category”) so people can select the appropriate categories. But when I export to csv, there can only be one category per column. I would rather keep a single “Category” multiple select so I don’t have three separate fields that people have to figure out. Is there a way to write a formula for this? So the logic would be this: I would create three fields (Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3). Category 1 would find the first option in the Multiple Select field “Category.” Category 2 would find the second option in “Category” Category 3 would find the third option in “Category”

Hello,I have a problem performing calculations on numbers from rollup's columns. When I do additions and subtractions, I don't get any errors. However, when I try to do multiplications and divisions, I get an error. I tried adding value() to convert the text to a number (despite the original values being numbers). Although this no longer generates an error, the calculation doesn't work. I was trying to check if the divisor is greater than zero, but despite the tests, it doesn't work.I need some help 🙏Thank you,Angelo

I have a list of 100-200 sign-up's on a shared view (that's embedded in my website, so it "should" update), and I want to have a public user "Approve" or "Deny" each sign-up by clicking a field button (see screenshot) that would update one Select Field in the respective row. This process happens only once a year.A simple search on the AT community shows that editable shared views are incredibly popular but not possible. There have even been some creative workarounds (like this from GAP Consulting), but it's too much to ask for someone to open 100-200 forms to update one value for each row. I have a new repair business. I have two tables related to this question:One contains People, some of whom own items that they want repaired. The table includes contact info and the repairs they have submitted; the latter is a linked record field.The other contains Repairs, linking back to the item owners, providing all the details of the repair need, and indicating the current status in the repair process.I want to include a field in People showing Active Repairs, which are those that match certain statuses representing "incomplete." Hi all,I am wondering if there is a way to either create a new table or export a .csv file that would list out all of a record's linked records in columns. I have an inventory base that tracks outgoing and incoming equipment to and from specific sites. Essentially, I want to be able to export all of the linked record data so that each linked record has its own cell in a respective column. I've included screenshots below to better illustrate my specific case. Is there an automation or script that can perform these actions? I've tried to export just a single record by filtering the view, but all the linked records remain grouped in their respective cells rather than each receiving their own cell/row like I would prefer.

I am trying to build a shared database for ~30 research sites. There is a set of shared variables that all sites will track but sites also want the ability to track additional site-specific data points. Each site should get to see and edit ONLY their own records (i.e. they should not be able to see or edit any the individual records of any other sites). Each site should have access to an interface dashboard that shares summary data for the shared variables across all sites. I've tried a few different approaches, but haven't found the solution yet. I tried creating different views within the same table for each site, but I don't think that will work because I can't seem to restrict access to a view to only one site.I tried creating different tables within the same base for each site, but I don't think that will work because then I can't create a dashboard that aggregates across all sites.I think syncing may be an option, but we have the Team plan which restricts a base to 10 s

We leverage a concatenate field to be able to indicate when milestones fall during certain weeks. We are wondering if there is a way to revise the formula so that we can have the grouping be in order chronologically by year. I’ve read a couple threads on this but didn’t see an answer. When I open a Linked Record, the fields it shows do not directly correspond with any of my actual views from that table. I want to rearrange the fields for the Linked Records, but don’t know how to adjust if they don’t seem to be coming from one view. They are not coming from the first view in that table. My Interface goals are stalled because I can not figure out how to create my desired bar graph. I created a bar graph example in R to show that I would like to have the number of hours on the Y and the dates on the X. They do not necessarily have to be color coded but they should be separated by the location. In my own attempts to create this bar graph I have only been able to create a count of the number of hours logged. For example, 2 hours has been logged twice for two different dates. This does not provide any substantial information on time and the number of hours spent traveling per location. If anyone is willing to help me figure out how to create this bar graph, please reach out! I would really appreciate it.

We perform record review for the assets we have in our base, around 300 days after the last review date was entered for the asset. These assets are in the LMS Content table, which has linked records back to the Assets table.Rather than have the reviewer go to the the Assets table to update those linked records, I’d like to automate it so some of the linked records get updated with the same new date value.In the Assets table, there are linked records back to the LMS Content table, here I want to update some of those records based on a condition.Here’s a bit more about the desired workflow:I want to update linked records when a value in the Last Review Date field of the LMS Content table changes. For each linked record, from the Assets table where its Asset Type value = “Video”, update its Asset LR Date to the same value just updated in the Last Review Date field of the LMS Content table.Then, for each linked record from the LMS Content table, where the value in the LMS Content fiel

I'm working in a new client interface, and they have a button with the action 'Update record'. This is linked to a dropdown. (This is a list of purchase orders.)But there aren't any other settings for this. What does this action do? How is the record "updated"?
