Hi there!I have been trying to get an automation to look at a view in Airtable and list up all the records with their hyperlink in a Slack message every Wednesday.The outcome would be something like:´Here's a few entries you can pick from:SW-0001 (hyperlink to record)SW-0002 (hyperlink to record)SW-003 (hyperlink to record)I have tried running a code but the list won't show (added images what I got for reference).Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?

Is it possible to subsequently edit an existing data record using a form, for example to change a status. without making the change directly in the table?

I would like to insert a link in my automated email to an interface page that I've just created and published. But it doesn't show up in the "Use data form..." popup - see screenshot?

Being new to airtable and not wanting to pollute the forums with silly questions I can look up myself, I've been trying to go to the online help to solve my own questions.  Unless I'm missing it, most of what they provide is an organized set of articles which is to be frank, frustratingly useless to this old school gray haired developer.  I was hoping to find a simple itemized list of terms with reference/example type information, almost like a dictionary. Every other programming language has this kind of thing, and you can easily find terms that sound like what you want with a quick description (reference style) and a few examples.  Does this kind of thing exist, or is it just the article format?  I know I can pay for teams and do the AI thing, or go ask chatgpt, but I'd rather just do it old school and research it quickly.Thanks.

i'm trying to make a formula to pull out the last name from a field that sometimes has full names in it & sometimes does not. i found this formula in a very helpful Airtable blog:TRIM(MID(SUBSTITUTE(Employer," ",REPT(" ",LEN(Employer))), (3-1)*LEN(Employer)+1, LEN(Employer)))this worked for me when i was parsing a field that always had "Title First Last" as the number of words. however, my new field sometimes has a middle initial. i changed the formula to (4-1) to account for the middle initial, but it doesn't work for names without a middle initial.i'm guessing there's a way to tell the formula to look for the word that is the right-most word separated by a space, but honestly i don't even fully understand this formula, so i'm not sure how to modify it.Here's an example of data in the original field & the output:i'm using an IF() function to determine if the field has names and titles in it or not, do i need to do a nested if based on whether a middle initial exists?also, i kn

I have a table of 100 members of our makerspace. There's a ROLE field that is multiselect that has Lead, Board Member, Officer, etc.  9 of the members of the "Member" table have "Board Member" and I have a subsequent view called "Board Members" that filters to show all board members (and that have an active status).I want to have an automation on another table (Applications) that would send a gmail to each of the 9 members in the "Board Members" view/grid. Does anyone have an example of this?  FWIW, I want to include a url of a fillout form including the RECORD_ID() of the application record as well as a parameter of the email address to pre-fill the board members identifying information so when they approve/comment on the form we can identify the source board member.Thanks in advanceJeffPS: I know that on the free plan there are limits on sendmail to non-airtable emails, but that gmail might work instead.

Can someone give me some advice on how to update the yellow columns as shown in the example below?I have a fillout form that the approvers can update the approval status of the applicant. On saving and the record gets updated, I'd like the counts updated.  Would I do this on an automation of a record update of the member approval table?  

I'm working on a tracking system for a coral restoration project. To report coral bleaching to my Bleaching Report table, a user selects a date and all structures where bleaching was observed (linked to my Structures table) like so:Bleaching Report table:I would like to add a new record for each structure along with the corresponding date to a different table, like so:Structure Bleaching table:I tried setting up an automation which triggers when a new record is created in Bleaching Report to create a new record in Structure Bleaching for every linked item in the Structures field, but it seems only 1 record is being created even when there are multiple structures linked in the field. Hi. I've got a base in AirTable which I need to be able others to update through a form in fillout. I only want specific fields to be updated by the form. In the case as shown in the screenshot I only want people to change the status and no other fields. When I chose to limit who can edit fields such as name, email etc to nobody but leave the status field as editable by anyone the form doesn't update that field. I only manage to update the status field when all other fields are editable but then it will obviously create an issue that will allow people to edit the base. The idea is that people would report status updates by the form and they would need to see certain fields of the form.  Could anyone point me to some resources on how to accomplish that? Thank you.

Let me explain:I’ve set up a base for project management where each project has different tasks based on the program type (and there are multiple programs). Ideally, I want to create a form with a predefined task list, allowing Project Managers to fill in details such as start date, assignee, end date, status, etc., without having to manually enter each task name.Is this possible with Airtable’s Teams plan? Can anyone recommend a license-free icon library compatible with Airtable Formulas and Interface Text fields? I see them used in templates, but would love to have access to a complete library.

Hi,I use a formula field to build a URL to prepopulate a Fillout form, and I send the link via an automation -> Gmail send. The formula looks like this:"https://user.fillout.com/t/random?email="{email&"&name="&name&"&id="&RECORD_ID() When sent out in a mail this becomes a clickable URL. I would however like to have as a "friendly name" clickable link instead. This I know can be done with the [Click here!](https://domain.com) syntax, but I can't figure out how to work that into the formula. Anyone know how to do this? Rgds, Björn

Hello,I'm trying to create a "Sign Up Page" using an Airtable Form, however, it's not working like I want it to :).I have 1 Table which is the Available Time Slots, and 1 Table which is the SignUps & associated SignUp Form.The problem is that I want my Linked Record (Available Time Slots) to show up in a Grid Format on the Form (either Old Forms or Interface Forms), however, the only option I seem to have is a "+" sign that says "Add Record" that gives a Drop Down menu. Is there anyway I can customize this to display in a better format for folks signing up for a time slot?For example, a list with radio buttons? A grid with a column that has a "Sign Up" button?I'm exploring the possibility of building a SignUp app in Airtable, and using automations, record #s, and pre-filled forms to allow people to self-service their needs like cancelling a session.Ideas are welcome!TIA,ML  

I have multiple tables that deal with budgeting, and in each one I've got a similar setup. I track the total budgeted and then how much we've spent manually, then a formula determines the difference and another formula looks at that difference and determines the status of the budget. It works great 95% of the time and looks like the below.Total BudgetedTotal SpentDifferenceStatus$100,000$100,000$0Matches Budget$500,000$650,000-$150,000Over Budget$300,000$200,000$100,000Under BudgetThe problem I'm seeing is that every once in a while I will get a record where the Difference correctly shows $0, but instead of Matches Budget the formula will return Under Budget or Over Budget. I don't know what could be causing this since there's no rounding taking effect; it's all precise numbers and formatted as currency.The formula I use to determine the Difference result is {Total Budgeted}-{Total Spent} and in the screenshot below you can see three different records, all with zero amounts for the dif

I need to calculate the number of days a ticket was open, but excluding weekends.However, Airtable wont let me change my work days to be Sunday-Thursday.What formula can I use as a workaround, to count all days of the week minus every Friday and Saturday of the year?

Hoping someone can help, I saw in Airtable's 'What's New' update in July that if a formula returns "a boolean (true/false), a new formatting option lets you output the result as a checkbox instead of a number". This would be really useful for me, but I have tried multiple ways to do this and have not sound it possible. I know Airtable's checkboxes mostly use 1 for checked and 0 for unchecked, so have tried outputting formula as a 1 or 0 for true / false, but no luck (tried "1" / "0", "true" / "false" etc too). Here's the screenshots from the 'What's New' page, if anyone has had any luck with this, help would be really appreciated. Thanks Matti

Hi Airtable Community.Now, I use "When a record is updated" trigger in my automation and I want to use only the data of updated field for sending notification to my team member.Concretely, my table has 3 fields which are "Assignee_1", "Assignee_2" and "Assignee_3", and when someone update one of these 3 fields, I want to send the notification to only the member written in the updated field.However, I don't know how do I get only updated field data.If you have any good solution, please let me know.

I was hoping to put a youtube video in attachment but the URL says it can not be found. Tried a few different videos with different style URLs with the same not found error. Is there a easy way to add video or will I just have to add URL to the video? Which is fine, I just wanted to know if I could embed it without link or downloading, so I thought I would ask.
