I'm working on a tracking system for a coral restoration project. To report coral bleaching to my Bleaching Report table, a user selects a date and all structures where bleaching was observed (linked to my Structures table) like so:Bleaching Report table:I would like to add a new record for each structure along with the corresponding date to a different table, like so:Structure Bleaching table:I tried setting up an automation which triggers when a new record is created in Bleaching Report to create a new record in Structure Bleaching for every linked item in the Structures field, but it seems only 1 record is being created even when there are multiple structures linked in the field. Here is my automation setup:The "ID" is selected from the Current item. In the test data for "Repeat for each in Structures", the Input List is returning all the correct structures so I can't figure out why it doesn't iterate over all of them. Hi. I've got a base in AirTable which I need to be able others to update through a form in fillout. I only want specific fields to be updated by the form. In the case as shown in the screenshot I only want people to change the status and no other fields. When I chose to limit who can edit fields such as name, email etc to nobody but leave the status field as editable by anyone the form doesn't update that field. I only manage to update the status field when all other fields are editable but then it will obviously create an issue that will allow people to edit the base. The idea is that people would report status updates by the form and they would need to see certain fields of the form.  Could anyone point me to some resources on how to accomplish that? Thank you.

Hi everyone,I’m looking for some guidance on creating conditional forms in Airtable. Let me explain:I’ve set up a base for project management where each project has different tasks based on the program type (and there are multiple programs). Ideally, I want to create a form with a predefined task list, allowing Project Managers to fill in details such as start date, assignee, end date, status, etc., without having to manually enter each task name.Is this possible with Airtable’s Teams plan? Can anyone recommend a license-free icon library compatible with Airtable Formulas and Interface Text fields? I see them used in templates, but would love to have access to a complete library.

Hi,I use a formula field to build a URL to prepopulate a Fillout form, and I send the link via an automation -> Gmail send. The formula looks like this:"https://user.fillout.com/t/random?email="{email&"&name="&name&"&id="&RECORD_ID() When sent out in a mail this becomes a clickable URL. I would however like to have as a "friendly name" clickable link instead. This I know can be done with the [Click here!](https://domain.com) syntax, but I can't figure out how to work that into the formula. Anyone know how to do this? Rgds, Björn

Hello,I'm trying to create a "Sign Up Page" using an Airtable Form, however, it's not working like I want it to :).I have 1 Table which is the Available Time Slots, and 1 Table which is the SignUps & associated SignUp Form.The problem is that I want my Linked Record (Available Time Slots) to show up in a Grid Format on the Form (either Old Forms or Interface Forms), however, the only option I seem to have is a "+" sign that says "Add Record" that gives a Drop Down menu. Is there anyway I can customize this to display in a better format for folks signing up for a time slot?For example, a list with radio buttons? A grid with a column that has a "Sign Up" button?I'm exploring the possibility of building a SignUp app in Airtable, and using automations, record #s, and pre-filled forms to allow people to self-service their needs like cancelling a session.Ideas are welcome!TIA,ML  

I have multiple tables that deal with budgeting, and in each one I've got a similar setup. I track the total budgeted and then how much we've spent manually, then a formula determines the difference and another formula looks at that difference and determines the status of the budget. It works great 95% of the time and looks like the below.Total BudgetedTotal SpentDifferenceStatus$100,000$100,000$0Matches Budget$500,000$650,000-$150,000Over Budget$300,000$200,000$100,000Under BudgetThe problem I'm seeing is that every once in a while I will get a record where the Difference correctly shows $0, but instead of Matches Budget the formula will return Under Budget or Over Budget. I don't know what could be causing this since there's no rounding taking effect; it's all precise numbers and formatted as currency.The formula I use to determine the Difference result is {Total Budgeted}-{Total Spent} and in the screenshot below you can see three different records, all with zero amounts for the dif

I need to calculate the number of days a ticket was open, but excluding weekends.However, Airtable wont let me change my work days to be Sunday-Thursday.What formula can I use as a workaround, to count all days of the week minus every Friday and Saturday of the year?

Hoping someone can help, I saw in Airtable's 'What's New' update in July that if a formula returns "a boolean (true/false), a new formatting option lets you output the result as a checkbox instead of a number". This would be really useful for me, but I have tried multiple ways to do this and have not sound it possible. I know Airtable's checkboxes mostly use 1 for checked and 0 for unchecked, so have tried outputting formula as a 1 or 0 for true / false, but no luck (tried "1" / "0", "true" / "false" etc too). Here's the screenshots from the 'What's New' page, if anyone has had any luck with this, help would be really appreciated. Thanks Matti

Hi Airtable Community.Now, I use "When a record is updated" trigger in my automation and I want to use only the data of updated field for sending notification to my team member.Concretely, my table has 3 fields which are "Assignee_1", "Assignee_2" and "Assignee_3", and when someone update one of these 3 fields, I want to send the notification to only the member written in the updated field.However, I don't know how do I get only updated field data.If you have any good solution, please let me know.

Hello!I'm new to automation and trying to figure out how to copy data from one field to another when one field is not empty and the other is empty.I have a Tasks Due table and a Reminder field that is a Dateadd formula which calculates a date from data from another linked table. I want to copy that Reminder field and paste it into my Date Due field if the Reminder field is not empty and the Date Due field is empty. Can anyone help? Screenshots of how I currently have it set up. I've tried changing up the conditions, Record ID and field but can't get it to work.Thanks so much for any help you can give!

How can I automatically generate a new record ID in Airtable that continues sequentially from the last number in the existing data?

Hello!There are a LOT of posts regarding the popular error of "Received Invalid Input" but in my search I didn't find anything that was specific to the conditional logic of the automation being the area that returned the error.I've created a video to show how the conditional logic works when the list properties length = 1, but if it = 0, then the conditional logic check returns the "Received Invalid Input" error. Any help is appreciated.

I feel like what I want to do is very simple, but honestly, I'm wasting a lot of time without succeeding. My level of incompetence is quickly reached.So, I have in my Table 1 a Date field and a field that I'll call field N. In my Table 2, there is also a Date field and a Number field.I want AirTable to find the corresponding Date in Table 2 for each record in Table 1, then return the Number field and enter it in the N field of Table 1.I've been searching for the function, but I can't find it. Hello, I’ve been trying to work this out for hours but I’m afraid my knowledge of airtable formulas is quite nascent. I’ve got this current formula: IF( {Due}="", “”, IF( AND( DATETIME_DIFF({Due},TODAY(),‘hours’) >= 12, DATETIME_DIFF({Due},TODAY(),‘hours’) <= 48 ), “Due Soon”, IF( IS_BEFORE({Due},TODAY()), “Past Due”, IF( IS_SAME({Due},TODAY()), “Due Today”, “Upcoming” ) ) ) ) Which gives me different values depending on how much time is left in the “Due” column. I’m trying to add another variable that says that if checkbox column “Done” is ticked, disregard all the above formula and return value “Complete”. How can I go about doing this please?

Hello,I have a table containing information about clients: surname, first name, end date, etc., as well as the number of hours sold. In another table, I have the tasks for each customer with the number of hours used.I've created an interface that summarises the job information by customer. At the moment, I need to filter by customer to display all the tasks, but I also want to see the number of hours sold directly in this interface.However, to obtain this information, I need to apply two filters:Filter 1 on the Tasks table to select the customer. Filter 2 on the Customers table to retrieve the hours sold. Is there a solution to avoid having to filter twice?

I have been trying to develop a formula to output the amount of work hours between two date/time fields. This is for a base that has Time Off requests for employees.I have a field with a start date like this (9/16/2024 10:00am) and a field with an end date like this (9/28/2024 3:00pm). What is a formula that would calculate the amount of work hours between those two fields, assuming:Work hours are 8am to 5pmExclude 12pm-1pm if the span crosses that time period, since there should only be 8 hours between 8am and 5pmExclude weekendsIdeally, and I realize this is a tall order, it would exclude New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day for say, the past 5 years and next 5 years.This has been driving me crazy for a long time, and I cannot come up with a reliable solution, even with ChatGPT. Can anyone help?
