Hello AT community.Really scratching my head here, maybe someone can help.Some context, my company offloads data for carriers. We have clients that host access points, basically wifi radios, those access points each bring in a certain amount of revenue.I have a client table, an access point table (basically inventory), and a Access point revenue table. The Access Point table is linked to the client table so it shows which client owns it. The record ID for the Access point table and the revenue table are the same. What I need is an automation that will match the Access Point in the Revenue table to the Access point table to the Access Point in the inventory table. If they match I need it to pull the client that owns the access point and add it to the record in the revenue table. Hopefully that makes sense and thank you for the help

Alright, this is a bit convoluted, so I'm hoping someone out there is much more comfortable with automations than I am because this is driving me absolutely crazy. I have a list of companies that are being tracked as they're evaluated, but I want to be able to cross-reference them on the same table to indicate they're being evaluated for the same need. For instance, if I have records for Coke, Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper, I want to be able to go into the Coke record and have a linked record field that points to the same table, and I want to be able to link Pepsi and Dr. Pepper as also soda options.That part is easy, I've got it configured. The trick is that when I do this, what I want is for an automation to automatically go to the Pepsi record and update the linked record field to add Coke, showing the two are linked. Same for Dr. Pepper. The dream scenario is that Pepsi and Dr. Pepper would also reference each other automatically, but I bet that's probably pushing it a bit far.I am at a lo

I have an automation that sends an automatic email. There are 2 date fields in the text. This should display the date and time. unfortunately the date fields are displayed as in the attachment. how can I change this?It would look nicer if everything was like the last one. could be removed

Hello,I would appreciate if someone could help me.In the attendees column, I can link multiple names in one record.I want to create an automation that allows me to create a record in another table whenever a name is added in the attendees. I tried doing it using the automation in airtable: whenever a record is updated in the attendees a record is created in another table with the name of each person. But the problem is all the names are being shown in that table.So, how can I create an automation where I can have the name of each person in one record.

I have a name and the corresponding date of birth in a data field, separated by a "|" I would like to use a formula so that only the name is displayed to me. the name is before the "|" sign. I tried LEFT, but only got ERROR

How do you write data separately to all the records you find when you automatically find multiple records？the follow example find 2 records, then the next action step run fail, what can I do so that the updated action is written to each of the two records found?

Hi guys!Losing my mind trying to figure this out – I thought it would be a super simple formula but just cannot get it to work. Here's the lowdown:I'm mapping out placements for an editorial website – there's a carousel that will feature 5 articles each week, rotating between 12 different articles. I want to be able to count how many times an article has already been used in the plan.So, I've got a table here that's grouped by each week (ie. Hi,I wonder if I can somehow give a copy of a Base to another user?I have a blank Template base (with just the column names and formulas and such) and I would like to give a copy of this Base to another user. This other user is NOT part of my company or organization. I do NOT want them to be a 'collaborator' in any senses - I just want to hand off a single copy of the Base to them, and then they can do whatever they want with it, and not involve us at all (or our account at all). So I've been developing an Airtable base for months to track & log operations. Since there are so many moving parts, creating google calendar invites are a must for the employees who will be a part of the operations. I've been reaching an error with the Google Calendar automation to create events, which I will show in a screenshot. I cannot seem to find what the limits are to find a workaround, some days I can only generate less than 10, other days I can generate around 50. It is never consistent, and I've been trying to find resources to figure this out - but I have not yet. If anybody has any workarounds, or knows the usage limits, that would save me so much trouble. I don't want to use any third party automation software, I would like to keep everything in Airtable Automations.  

In the form I have a data record field where all free rooms are displayed. All occupied rooms are not displayed. However, if I have a reservation for the future, the assigned room is immediately marked as occupied even though it is still available until the specific reservation date. So far I have no idea how to solve the problem.

Is it possible to subsequently edit an existing data record using a form, for example to change a status. without making the change directly in the table?

I would like to insert a link in my automated email to an interface page that I've just created and published. But it doesn't show up in the "Use data form..." popup - see screenshot?

Being new to airtable and not wanting to pollute the forums with silly questions I can look up myself, I've been trying to go to the online help to solve my own questions.  Unless I'm missing it, most of what they provide is an organized set of articles which is to be frank, frustratingly useless to this old school gray haired developer.  I was hoping to find a simple itemized list of terms with reference/example type information, almost like a dictionary. Every other programming language has this kind of thing, and you can easily find terms that sound like what you want with a quick description (reference style) and a few examples.  Does this kind of thing exist, or is it just the article format?  I know I can pay for teams and do the AI thing, or go ask chatgpt, but I'd rather just do it old school and research it quickly.Thanks.

i'm trying to make a formula to pull out the last name from a field that sometimes has full names in it & sometimes does not. i found this formula in a very helpful Airtable blog:TRIM(MID(SUBSTITUTE(Employer," ",REPT(" ",LEN(Employer))), (3-1)*LEN(Employer)+1, LEN(Employer)))this worked for me when i was parsing a field that always had "Title First Last" as the number of words. however, my new field sometimes has a middle initial. i changed the formula to (4-1) to account for the middle initial, but it doesn't work for names without a middle initial.i'm guessing there's a way to tell the formula to look for the word that is the right-most word separated by a space, but honestly i don't even fully understand this formula, so i'm not sure how to modify it.Here's an example of data in the original field & the output:i'm using an IF() function to determine if the field has names and titles in it or not, do i need to do a nested if based on whether a middle initial exists?also, i kn

I have a table of 100 members of our makerspace. There's a ROLE field that is multiselect that has Lead, Board Member, Officer, etc.  9 of the members of the "Member" table have "Board Member" and I have a subsequent view called "Board Members" that filters to show all board members (and that have an active status).I want to have an automation on another table (Applications) that would send a gmail to each of the 9 members in the "Board Members" view/grid. Does anyone have an example of this?  FWIW, I want to include a url of a fillout form including the RECORD_ID() of the application record as well as a parameter of the email address to pre-fill the board members identifying information so when they approve/comment on the form we can identify the source board member.Thanks in advanceJeffPS: I know that on the free plan there are limits on sendmail to non-airtable emails, but that gmail might work instead.

Can someone give me some advice on how to update the yellow columns as shown in the example below?I have a fillout form that the approvers can update the approval status of the applicant. On saving and the record gets updated, I'd like the counts updated.  Would I do this on an automation of a record update of the member approval table?  

I'm working on a tracking system for a coral restoration project. To report coral bleaching to my Bleaching Report table, a user selects a date and all structures where bleaching was observed (linked to my Structures table) like so:Bleaching Report table:I would like to add a new record for each structure along with the corresponding date to a different table, like so:Structure Bleaching table:I tried setting up an automation which triggers when a new record is created in Bleaching Report to create a new record in Structure Bleaching for every linked item in the Structures field, but it seems only 1 record is being created even when there are multiple structures linked in the field. Hi. I've got a base in AirTable which I need to be able others to update through a form in fillout. I only want specific fields to be updated by the form. In the case as shown in the screenshot I only want people to change the status and no other fields. When I chose to limit who can edit fields such as name, email etc to nobody but leave the status field as editable by anyone the form doesn't update that field. I only manage to update the status field when all other fields are editable but then it will obviously create an issue that will allow people to edit the base. The idea is that people would report status updates by the form and they would need to see certain fields of the form.  Could anyone point me to some resources on how to accomplish that? Thank you.

Let me explain:I’ve set up a base for project management where each project has different tasks based on the program type (and there are multiple programs). Ideally, I want to create a form with a predefined task list, allowing Project Managers to fill in details such as start date, assignee, end date, status, etc., without having to manually enter each task name.Is this possible with Airtable’s Teams plan? Can anyone recommend a license-free icon library compatible with Airtable Formulas and Interface Text fields? I see them used in templates, but would love to have access to a complete library.

Hi,I use a formula field to build a URL to prepopulate a Fillout form, and I send the link via an automation -> Gmail send. The formula looks like this:"https://user.fillout.com/t/random?email="{email&"&name="&name&"&id="&RECORD_ID() When sent out in a mail this becomes a clickable URL. I would however like to have as a "friendly name" clickable link instead. This I know can be done with the [Click here!](https://domain.com) syntax, but I can't figure out how to work that into the formula. Anyone know how to do this? Rgds, Björn
