Hello! If I want to add a checkbox to a rich text field I simply type [] and checkbox appears. But the same does not seems to work over scripting. I tried all kinds of combinations of `[] ` and `- [ ] ` and so on with no success.```let formattedInstructions = instructions.map(instruction => `- [ ] ${instruction}`).join('\n');```Maybe it's not possible right now?Thank you!

My Interface goals are stalled because I can not figure out how to create my desired bar graph. I created a bar graph example in R to show that I would like to have the number of hours on the Y and the dates on the X. They do not necessarily have to be color coded but they should be separated by the location. In my own attempts to create this bar graph I have only been able to create a count of the number of hours logged. For example, 2 hours has been logged twice for two different dates. This does not provide any substantial information on time and the number of hours spent traveling per location. If anyone is willing to help me figure out how to create this bar graph, please reach out! I would really appreciate it.

We perform record review for the assets we have in our base, around 300 days after the last review date was entered for the asset. These assets are in the LMS Content table, which has linked records back to the Assets table.Rather than have the reviewer go to the the Assets table to update those linked records, I’d like to automate it so some of the linked records get updated with the same new date value. In the Assets table, there are linked records back to the LMS Content table, here I want to update some of those records based on a condition. Here’s a bit more about the desired workflow:I want to update linked records when a value in the Last Review Date field of the LMS Content table changes. For each linked record, from the Assets table where its Asset Type value = “Video”, update its Asset LR Date to the same value just updated in the Last Review Date field of the LMS Content table. Then, for each linked record from the LMS Content table, where the value in the LMS Content fiel

I'm working in a new client interface, and they have a button with the action 'Update record'. This is linked to a dropdown. (This is a list of purchase orders.)But there aren't any other settings for this. What does this action do? How is the record "updated"?

Hi there!Quick question: If a recipient of an automated email from Airtable (sent by Airtable mail server) clicks on the "unsubscribe" link, will his/her email address be "blacklisted" for all automated emails from that Airtable base or is this specific to the automation which has executed the "send email" step?Cheers!

Hi all,I am trying to add info from a linked table (one to many relation) in the body of an e-mail in an automated action. This is my setup:TableA with Fields Name, Age, Status, Email, ...TableB is a collection of dates on which the person in TableA is expected. Fields: Name (from Table A), date, type of meeting)One record in tableA can have multiple lines in TableB.Now I want to be able to send an automated mail that contains the info from TableB (date and linked type of meeting). Is this somehow possible? If yes, can someone please help me how to solve this? Thanks in advance.Kind regards,Kenneth De Vos

Is it possible to link multiple filters to a single grid in an Interface? I have a base with 11 tables; 1 primary table and 10 support tables. In my primary table, I have 31 fields, 10 of which are linked records. I would like to create an interface for my client that will allow for as simple or as complex a query as needed. To explain further:My primary table is a plant directory. I would like my client to be able to choose a simple query, such as:All plants that are Red. I would also like my client to be able to choose a complex query, such as:All plants that are Red or Orange, Low Maintenance, requires Full Sun, is Fragrant and is Deer Tolerant. Is there a way in Airtable to be able to accomplish this?Thank you in advance, Mr. Brad B.

Hi,I'd like to give users a button to create a new table in the backend with default fields and table name. This table could be a duplicate of an existing table. Is is possible to implement this functionality on the front end?

Hi everyoneTrying to see if an idea is viable from a cost perspective but can't work out licensing implicationsI want to build a FREE, NO COST application for a community scenario where kids are collecting and trading stickers.  The plan is to use Softr and Airtable and the app is basically built but now I'm wondering if it's viable using free licenses. Not sure of the number of users, don't anticipate it will be that many, maybe 100 even if successfulAny thoughts?ThanksMike

I already have an automation using a webhook, that when I add a new record in a certain table, a sign request is created and sent to the relevant email address. What I need to do now is after the document is signed by the recipients, save it as an attachment on the same record.Any idea how it can be done?

I have a lot of personal views. I'd like to split them into sections like you can with collaborative views. I can't find an option for this. Is there a way to do this?

I could use some help correctly setting up a multiple select field that monitors changes in other fields. For context, this'll be setup for internal use mostly for billing purposes. Once the tagged change(s) in the multiple select field have been resolved, they'll be manually cleared. Scenario: I have a multiple select field called Changelog that monitors changes in other fields in the same table- Contribution Status, Contribution Amount, and Current Donation. Any change in a record associated in a specified group should have their respected outputs reflected in the Changelog field. Issue: I want the Changelog field to populate any and all changes. Sometimes the output looks accurate, other times it does not. In the example screenshots, I changed a record's Contribution Status which resulted in changes to both the Contribution Status and Contribution Amount- correctly reflected in the changelog. However, when making this change, it affects the other records in the group,

I am building a base to control the orders of my market. In there, I want to "Add a new order" and select the products of the order, while choosing their quantities. Is that possible? Also, I want to calculate the order value with the quantities of each product.

When creating a form, we can limit the options the submitters can select. Is there a way to do a similar set up at the user level?I was thinking maybe, at the interface level, we'd be able to limit the selection of a single select field. But that doesn't seem to be an option. Maybe there's another way to do this? Here's my scenario:I have a dropdown that my users can edit, but I don't want to give them all the options. Maybe I split the options and connect them with formulas?I have an Inventory Table with a drop-down where users can change the status. Some of the statuses are for office use only, so I'd like those options to be filtered out. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I am using LIST records API to retrieve data from the table.I am needing to get all the records every time. This is acceptable, but no ideal. My client's table has no field that mark when a row is created or edited/updated. Does this of function already exist? If so, How would I grab only the records that were added or changed since the last update? BTW: using this API call:https://api.airtable.com/v0/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/$$tablename$$Thanks,Scott

I'm going based on this: https://airtable.com/developers/web/api/create-commentThe authorization is fine, but for some reason within scripting it keeps giving the error that the body isn't parsable. My script is as follows:    //Variables let inputConfig = input.config(); let recordID = inputConfig.recordID; let commentContent = "Hello World"; let url = 'https://api.airtable.com/v0/appksePpf16d6MPdp/tbl4ZEftsWgo84Ldu/' + recordID + '/comments'; console.log(commentContent); //Create the Comment let response = await fetch(url, { method: 'POST', headers: { 'Authorization': 'Bearer [private]', 'Content-Type': 'application/json', }, body: { //For some reason, it's not accepting this body 'text': commentContent } }); console.log(await response.text()); //console.log(await response.json());   I've gotten it to work with this exact same data in Spectator, so I'm really puzzled as to why this doesn't work.

I have a simple automation set up to send an email when a record is updated. The email includes a link to a Google doc for that particular record. The automation works most of the time, but I've run into situations where the URL for the Google Doc in Airtable gets modified when it comes through in email. For some reason, the underscores in the link get removed. See arrows in attached screenshot. The top URL is the correct one in Airtable, the bottom URL is what comes through in the email. I have other records in Airtable that also have underscores in the google doc URL and those comes through fine. It just seems to be random docs that this is happening with.Any ideas how to fix?

How can I make it 2024-08-31 6:30 PM PDT like how the record is in my airtable base? I don't want that T or Z at the end and the seconds and the decimal to be shown either.

I have a base where I have separated expenses into a few different tables. I did that to make it a little clearer for me as it became so cluttered. But now it’s hard to add up the prices and compare. How do I create a dashboard that truly just takes the sum of one column from each table that I have? For ex: I have a table for health insurance, car matinence & lease payments. How would I create a dashboard like summary where I can display the total sum of each of these? So it would look like: I tried linking, rollup and lookup but just can’t figure it out. I have used airspace for a long time, but only for simple data entry. I do not have pro.

Summary People sometimes ask whether it’s possible to use an Airtable form to edit an existing record. Technically the answer is “no” because Airtable forms always create new records. However, a base can be set up so that records created by a form end up affecting records in another “mirror" table. As with my first show-and-tell submission, this was inspired by a solution that I created in another thread. Long story short, the key to that solution was using two tables: one for collecting form data, and another that looks up that form data and fills out a parallel set of fields. Extending that to allow data from subsequent form-generated records to effectively replace older data in the “mirror” table only took a few more steps. Table Setup To build this system, the first table to make will be the [Data Entry] table. This is where the form data will end up. After deleting the default records, change the primary field to the Autonumber type, then set up the remaining fields for the data y

Hi folks. I’m trying to create a way to allow a member of our team to edit a shared view, and I’ve reached a snag. Here’s what I’ve done so far: Created a synced table in a new database using the data from the shared view Added 3 new columns in the new table for adding information to individual records Created an automation in the new table that makes a new row in a google sheet every time a particular column meets a condition All that works. And here’s where I’m snagged: Creating an automation in the original database that updates the changed record whenever a new row is added to the google sheet - BUT: When I use the Record ID from the new synced table, it doesn’t match the Record ID of the original table, so I get a “record doesn’t exist” error When I use one of the other field values from the new google sheet row to identify the record, I get an “Received invalid inputs” error. SO - how do I get the original base to recognize the equivalent record in the synced base? What’s t

I have a CRM database with a table called Companies. These Companies have columns that are linked to different tables called Country and Sector. I would like to create a new table, a Market Matrix of sorts, that automatically rolls up the companies in Country A + Sector B, which would also include notes and different properties on the country/sector in question. What is the best way to accomplish this? Thank you in advance! I'm relatively new to this so any help most appreciated.

I have a date+time and a duration (days: hours: minutes). I want to add a day:hour:minute duration to the date+time and output a new date+time. Issues I've encountered:1. I can only set a duration field to be day OR hours/minutes/seconds. 2. When attempting to create a formula to add a "Day" duration field to a "Hour" duration field the output is incorrect. For example I have a Day Duration field with "1" and in the Hour duration field I have 00:05. I triedDATEADD({Next Output Days},{Next Output HH:SS},'seconds')   Results in #ERROR!SUM({Next Output Days}+{Next Output HH:SS})   Results in 301?I'd be fine with a result of the total seconds of the day + hours/minutes to use for my final formula but I can't seem to combine the day duration field and the hour/minute duration field into anything useable. I just want to recreate the function of this form under "Add or subtract time from a date" https://www.calculator.

When applying this formula "{Pago a realizar}-{Pago efectuado}"  to the selected fields, as you can see in the 4 file, the result is not 0 but 1. How could I fix this error?

I have an Interface Detail Page that has a list of records. When i open a record it shows me a sort of modal column on the right and the url changes but it doesn't show an ID. Instead it gives me the "detail" parameter with a ver long string like this one "detail=eyJwYWdlSWQiOiJwYWdCeXBjZW9saHVvNXI2aiIsInJvd0lkIjoicmVjcXZseGk5SkJtcHluVXMiLCJzaG93Q29tbWVudHMiOmZhbHNlLCJxdWVyeU9yaWdpbkhpbnQiOm51bGf8".The question is where can i retrieve this long string?I'm working with Make so i want to change this parameter dynamically.I don't know if someone already asked this question, i didn't find any discussion with this problem so i made a new one.
