Hi! very new to using Airtable. I am trying to find out if it’s possible to use Airtable to populate users profiles for a small 30 members community. I am trying to display name, title, image, etc.. or would I be better using something I am more familiar with like Supabase. any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Steve 

Hello therei have an automation that was working fine, now when i try to test it, i can't get past the trigger. the trigger works, but when i try to evaluate the conditions for the first action group (or any other action group) i get an error instead of an "yes, matches conditions" or "no, doesn't match conditions". strangely, this automation worked until now. is the error possible related to airtable general maintenance or issues and not to my automation at all. or do you guys know what kind of conditions throw such an error instead of getting evaluated. very strange 😞

Hello Airtable family, I’ve previously explored how to sort the linked records, finding the best approach was a manual sort using the ‘Batch Update Block.’ The purpose was so that when using our Airtable-based ordering system, when we clicked a customer record in the customer table, it would show linked orders sorted with the most recent orders at the top. As I’m not the only one entering orders, it’s become a bit tedious and/or unreliable to use this method. I’m looking for a way to do it programmatically, either with an automation, scripting, or using even using Integromat. In theory, I’m thinking the best approach might be an automation script that only triggers when a customers ‘linked orders’ array changes, though not sure how to set that up with views, triggers, ect. I can likely figure out the script part from pseudo code. Any suggestions or ideas to try, I’m all ears! (Or, eyes…?) Kris

Hi all,I'm building a List InterfaceIn that list, I have enabled the "Edit records inline" setting. Now, all fields, even the ones that have been locked in the underlying Base, are editable from the interface. How do I keep the locked fields locked in the interface?

I am a real novice at formulas and I have been unable to work out what I have done wrong. Can somebody please tell me. DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(01-11-2019),{DOB LInk},‘Y’) I am trying to return the age of a person based on the difference between the DOB and the date in the future. What I have here works sometimes but sometimes gives the incorrect age. The problem occurs if the dob is later in the year than todays date. Airtable AYM Festival test 2019 - Airtable Explore the "AYM Festival test 2019 " base on Airtable. Hopefully the link will show that the first age (for Jacob) is correct but the second line for (Peter) is one year out.

I have an automation set up to add an event to my google calendar. It is working fine except, the end date it shows on the calendar is showing up the day before it ends. I have the events with no time listed because i do not want a specific start and end time for them. When i have the all day box checked in the automation It is showing on the calendar as ending a day earlier. When i make the "all day" under configurations in the automation dynamic and pick the end date it gives the start time and end time as 8AM in google calendar.  Is there a solution for this? Hi, I have a table where I add any investment into a company done. So, each row contains a field which is  linked record that link the investment to a record in table "company".But we can invest several times in one company. So I want to create a view that could display the last investment made for each company. I thought creating a new "single select" field called "active investment?", and having "active" option automatically selected for the latest investment made for a company. But I can't figure out how to do this double condition (having the "company" in the "linked field" and being the earliest date). Does someone know how to do something like this? Thank you,  Have a nice day 

Hey,I want to help my father's business and automate it to be more efficient and save him time.The problem is that he is not technological at all and he gets a bit complicated and I am afraid that he will destroy or enter wrong data (enter empty records or accidentally click on things).I wanted to ask you how you would deal with it?I thought maybe creating forms to create customers, a form to edit the details of the customers, etc.is this a good idea?I would love to hear from you how you would behave.Thanks

Hi Folks,I have come up with a workaround for not being able to filter on query within scripting automations. Since you can query on a view but views can't be adjusted via the API either we use a view that has a checkbox and then check the box through update records and uncheck when done.  This is useful when you have a list of records from a linked field more than a dyanamic filter.  It is also still best to filter the records that are returned to ensure they do meet your criteria but greatly reduces the number of records returned.  First we use this async function to make the object for updates:   ​async function setAutomationFlags(table, recordIds, flagValue) { const automationFlags = recordIds.map(recordId => ({ id: recordId.id, fields: { "Automations": flagValue } })); await updateRecordsInChunks(table, automationFlags); }     updateRecordsInChunks is another function that takes an array and slices it: &

When someone calls through RingCentral and their name, or number match an Airtable record, is there anyway for that record to pop up?

I have a user that can't click an interface button which runs an automation. The automation primarily updates a field that is not visible through the interface. My user, who has access to the interface but not the underlying base, is unable to click this button. It is greyed out. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the error message you get when you hover over the button because another user 'helped' them and moved the workflow along.Is it the current expected behaviour that a user with interface only access can't run an automation that changes the base? Or is there something else going on here?

I'm sure you'll be able to give me some ideas to figure out the best way to accomplish what I'm trying to.I have a base with 6 tables: Check-in, Market, Business, Operations, Traction and Finance.Forms with data will arrive in Check-in table. Since is a lot of data for the customer to fill in one time, we had to split fields in 5 forms which collect the real values of customer business and 5 forms collecting projection values.Customer will answer this every month, so we have an Evaluation Month field in every table. Also, and that's one messed up thing, they need customer be able to send data in more than one form. So this would work something like, on first month, customer knows 4 of the 8 questions, he will send a form with these 4 answers; then, when he gets the other 4, he will send another form with the other 4 answers. Hello!I realize that Airtable most likely wants to push forms to be built via Interfaces, but of course, many forms have already been built by users in the standard table views. When going to a form view within the table (not Interface), we get a popup window that states the form has been upgraded and then two buttons: "Edit Form View," which lets us edit in the old form view option within the table, or "Go to form builder," which takes us to the interface version. The user responsible for this base is not interested in using the Interface version at this time and so they click "Edit form view." However, what is annoying is that every time the form view from the table is brought up, the popup has to be cleared yet again.We understand that there are two ways to approach this form now. Hi. I've bumped into an issue when I want to send an automated email based on a field containing an email address. I've got two fields, one lookup that shows me the email address based on a selection from Email-Committee List. Help articles suggest using this formula -->> CONCATENATE({Committee's email (from Email-Committee List 2)}, "") but when putting --Calculation-- field in the --to-- field in the automation it comes back with the message that "The "To" input is empty" and I don't know what I'm doing wrong there.

Hello, this is an airtable newbie question:I have searched here, watched videos, and am completely failing with the following problem:I want to create an automation that sends a mail to ALL mail addresses contained in table 2 when a data record is added to table 1.I have the trigger, it works, it's simple.In the actions, I only have access to the data of table 1 in the To: field (where the mail addresses should go), not table 2.How can I access the data of table 2 at this point?Does anyone have a comprehensible tip for me?Many thanks in advance for your timeBoris

Beginner here, asking a question which has no doubt been asked a lot and probably has a simple, obvious answer! Apologies in advance...I have one table containing all of our customer bookings. In this table there is a formula field that takes the date that the booking was made and assigns it a week number based on a weeknum formula.I have another table where I have the week numbers listed from 1-52 in a field. The outcome I want is to have other fields that adds up figures from the customer bookings that took place in the same week number. Hi, I don't know if it is possible and I don't how to do it, or if it is a feature that is still not available in airtable.I have 2 tables: Reports and Users.I divided the reports by categories (1,2,3 etc), and I created different views for each category.I would like to lookup or rollup the category in the user table based on the different views that I created in the report table. In this way, I will filter the users by the categories, and I can apply some automation. Without this feature, I have, for example a person that has this: I would like, for example, that this person has only the code "5" and filter all the other data based on that.Is there any way that I can do this? Thank you 🙏

I want to store the total number of employees in the programs table to calculate the participation rate. Additionally, I'd like to break down the number of employees by position to calculate the participation rate for each position. I have three tables: Programs, Employees, and Tasks. While I can easily count the number of employees who complete each program or task, I am struggling with creating a field that sums the number of employees from the employee's table and places that total in the program's table to calculate the participation percentage.
