My text fields imported from excel have a question mark where an apostrophe should be.  Is there a simple formula to correct this?

We dont have URL shortener? Any free workarounds, formulas, links? Tnx!

Hello AirTable Community,Here's a fun one that I hope I can pick some brains on.  We have a Workday integration that creates an employee directory that feeds quite a few bases. With the Workday integration, we have to use a unique identifier - that being employee ID. However, employee IDs are not regularly used in our company so many do not know theirs. When filling out a form, they would typically use the employee name, which is not the primary field in the Workday integration (because of the unique identifier requirement.)Is there any way, via automation or some other method, to have the linking record be the employee name instead of the employee ID? If not, has anyone made a successful automation that would switch these columns after each sync with the Workday database? This has become quite a big blocker for us, so hoping someone has an idea of how this might be accomplished. 

Is it possible to limit the options for a single select field in an interface form? i can definitely do this in a regular airtable form. but i can't seem to figure out the way to do this in an interface form.example: single select fieldOption 1Option 2Option 3Can i make the interface form only offer them the choice of Option 1? or only Option 1 & Option 2, but not display Option 3 as a choice?

I have a URL field that I need to grab specific text from (in bold). Hoping someone can help me.  I'm sorry if this is not in the correct section.  I'm new to this and not sure of what to call most things.   I'm a crafter and i'm trying to use Airtable to keep an inventory of my craft supplies.  I have imported data from a different system, and have titled the column that contains the URLs for the photos  as "Image" and defined it as URL.  However, i can't get the images to populate.  I wrote an email to airtable asking for help, and although i keep replying to emails saying they're busy, with i want to wait, it's been well over a month and i still don't have a response.  I have tried looking up on the internet in various places, and have found issues the same as mine.  However, the fixes they show apparently are from a different version of airtable than is currently available, as many of the screens they show have different options from what I see, and i have not been able to equate the old to the new t

Hello,I am working on a base that includes artists' names and a lot of them have diacritics in their first and last name. Is there a formula that I can use that could identify if there are diacritics used? It can be a simple True or False formula that I can then use a filter to isolate everyone with diacritics in their name. For First and Last name I am used simple Single line columns.A list of names is important because it is used for a remapping feature on our website, so the end result for airtable needs to be a filtered view of names. I appreciate any help you can provide with this. 

I have a single line text field as a primary key “name” field. if it is blank when I save the record, I would like to automatically fill in the name as a concatenation of three other fields that are in the record. How can I do this?

I’m curious if there are any plans to add conditionally shown fields to Interfaces, similar to what is possible in form view? For example, if you’re tracking network outages you might use one field to specify that the cause is a power outage, in which case you would want other fields to appear that let you specify when the power outage started and ended (so you can track UPS runtime when the power goes out, and site recovery time when it comes back.)

I’ve been trying to delete a published interface but can’t find where to delete it. I opened the interface and looked for a delete button but couldn’t find one. I exited the interface and went to my workspace to see all of the bases and interfaces I have, but I couldn’t find an option to delete it there. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm playing with the interfaces and I have a question. Is there any way I can share an interface with a person that hasn't an Airtable account?I don't want to add them as collaborators, because they should see only that interface (not the base) and I don't want to ask them to create an Airtable account just to see my interface. My final goal is sharing the interface link with an automation through email. Is there any way? Thank you!

Hi all! I thought I would share some things I wish I could do on Airtable right now, manifesting that they may be future features.1. In a long text field, I wish I could use bullets and hyper links. This would help display cleaner for the field in interfaces2. I wish I could save a record as a PDF from an interface - from the record selector and single record layouts. I know this can be done in Page designer extension but - to my knowledge - page designer does not dynamically space. And its not nearly as easy to customized as an interface.

Hello!I am trying to create a formula that categorises ships by type, then size category, and if they meet both of those criteria they are assigned a value that is annual fuel consumption appropriate for the vessel's size category. I have an interface in a list form.  I added a button to the interface. I want the user to be able to select multiple records from the list and click on submit. However I see that the button is disabled and it does not detect the source. I tried adding a dummy record picker element at the top and I could then see the button. But my question is I should not have to add that dummy element because I just don't need it on my interface page. It just creates a lot of confusion for the user to see that dropdown. Is there a resolution for this? Do automations only run when there are record pickers in the interface? Because that is pretty weird according to me.

I have a automated email that goes out to a group of non-collaborators when a form is filled out.  The emails contain an inserted grid with designated information from that form including any attachments that were submitted.  These attachments are, however, not viewable by the non-collaborators.  Share and sync is turned on.  Is there a setting I am missing?  Is it not possible for non-collaborators to view the attachments?  Is there a workaround that doesn't involve giving the non-collaborators access to the base?Thanks for the help!

I'm experiencing something weird - I have a formula field ("Cheque 2 amount") set up to subtract different currency fields. All fields, including Cheque 2 amount are set to currency format with 2 decimal places.  Everything looks normal in Airtable:However, I have a "send email" automation set up that uses the Cheque 2 Amount as a token, and some of those emails are displaying this token with 14 or so extra decimal places (here is the email generated from that same record above): Seems to be happening to maybe a quarter of the 160 or so records I was working with this morning. I can't see anything different about the ones that are experiencing this glitch. My best guess is it has something to do with the Cheque 1 Amount field, which is a formula that calculates a percentage (SUM(.75*{Approved budget})) - however it is also set to currency format with 2 decimal places, along with all the other fields. Anyone have any ideas???

I found this formula in the community. However I want to include a timestamp aswell. Since {date 1}, {date 2}, {date 3} may occur on the same day. I tried adding a format specifier but it wont work... I’m really excited about the new interface designer features. Airtable has given us the tools to build functional apps without getting people too deep into the database side. Unfortunately I can’t quite fully embrace it yet – it seems like the interfaces don’t work at all on iPhones. Moreover the degradation is pretty un-graceful, users just get a message to login or use the app with little or no explanation of what went wrong and how they could fix it. Our folks – especially some key stakeholders – are on iPhones more than any other platform, making this an important thing to solve for here. Does anyone have any ideas about how to deal with this? Does anyone know what Airtable’s roadmap is? Would love to leverage the features if I can figure out how to manage this challenge.

Apologies for the confusing title. To not confuse things further, I'll minimise the story/context. I'm developing a crop planning and record keeping system for our farm.For this issue, I have 3 tables in question. 1) Crops (basic info about all our crops)2) Crop Plan (for planning)3) Field (what actually happens in the field, as plans are never followed 100%).More than one Crop is added to the crop plan via a linked record. An automation creates a record for each crop with a "planned" status in Field. The planning info and dates are dynamically updated between tables. So there are two linked records in the Crop Plan table - Crop and Field. The Field table also have a linked record to Crops. This is automatically filled when the Crop field in the Crop Planner is filled.So if you add the crop "Beetroot" and "Radish" to the crop plan table to plant on 01/01/24, 1 record is created in t

In Airtable, a normal one-to-many relationship between two tables is bi-directional. When I create a link-to-record field in the parent table, Airtable automatically creates a mirroring link-to-record field in the child table. But if I create a link-to-record field that links to the same table – a self-join – that mirroring field does not get created. I was trying (as an experiment) to create a one-table to-do list, but I wanted a task to be able to have sub-tasks. So I defined the link-to-record field linking the Tasks table to itself, and called that field (that relationship) “Subtasks”. I created a task like “Prepare for vacation” and then added subtasks to it by clicking into the “Subtasks” column’s + button. And then Prepare for vacation [Subtasks: Get gas in car, Pack, File vacation form…] Get gas in car Pack File vacation form at post office etc. That works fine. But now what I’d like to do is filter out the subtasks and show only the parent-record tasks. Problem is, I can’t s

What’s the best way for someone to use my base? Lots of people will need to use it and add/edit records but they should not see each other’s information. They are individuals and not in the same company or organization. Can they copy my base and then use it freely? What is the best way to share so they’ll have the base to be able to add, edit, update and delete records?
