Trying to automate our UPC code generation (not the barcode image). We have our company prefix, and I know how to do the check sum. What I can’t figure out in AT is to process the current numbers already used/assigned in our block, and see what is the first missing number in the sequence. So we should have 10K numbers in our block, 00000 - 99999. We have used random numbers in past, all done manually. I would like to do this automatically in future by looking at that above sequence, removing anything that has been used, and then using the lowest number possible to start auto assigning SKU’s to projects moving forward. If this needs to be a script, can it be run by a button and/or an automation triggered by conditions?

I am using Airtable to manage a sales pipeline. I have created a sales dashboard using interfaces which reads across all opportunities. I want to be able to create quarterly and monthly reports by duplicating this dashboard and then filtering the records it reads to a specific date range.I can't seem to find the option for filtering a dashboard at the global level - does it exist?

Hi,I'd like to insert the error message into a field, so I used try catch with both of them updating a variable, which I then used to update the field. Weird; it only updated on success, not on error. Odd one, but I've noticed it a couple of times in the last week, so I wonder if it's a quirk of a new update.Basically I have a Status dropdown with a default option applied, called PlannedOne view that has some filters, including "If {dropdown} = ARCHIVE: Amendment"There is no grouping for the dropdown options in this view.Yet, when I create a new record it defaults to ARCHIVE: Amendment.This is how the filters are setup. Anyone know why this is? It's very frustrating. Is this a bug?

Hello!Anyone have an idea as to why my line graph is a bunch of scribbles? I want to chart number of applicants to specific majors overtime from term to term. The terms are in the correct chronological order on the x-axis, but for some reason the lines start in random terms and jump to other random terms.Thank you for any help!  

I have a table of projects. Associated with each project is multiple teams and multiple quarters. Both the quarters and teams fields are sourced from linked records.I would like automation (or script) to create related projects in another table, one per multiselect field combination. I've tried creating a script with ChatGPT, but no luck. I also so some other solutions in the community that were similar, but not quite the same as my situation. Any suggestions? 

I want to link specific words (like "Click here") in one of my tables to a cell in another table in the same database. "Copying the Cell URL" does work... for those who have an Airtable account. I need "the public" to be able to follow that link from the webpage where I have this table embedded.I've been researching this for hours and can't find anything. What am I missing? 

Hi, I am generating a URL by concatenating a URL string and then the Airtable record ID. Between my URL string and that ID, there is always a byte mark like “%EF%BB%BF” added (for example, when using the URL in an email automation). Any way to remove that since the URL leads to a 404 otherwise?

Hi everyone, New to Airtable but love it so far, and am hoping to have the following question answered. I am creating a project / task tracker for my team, ultimately going to create an interface which would have the following hierarchy:Project > Tasks > Subtasks. I know I only have 3 levels so I'm trying to display the DRI name under the Subtask table in order for me to group it correctly. I created the correct tables which are linked properly (I think). Here is my question: How can I mirror the DRI in my Project table to auto-populate in my task and subtask tables? This will help me group my views properly. Thank you

I have a base set up to log participant feedback after people attend a program. Respondents fill out a form and give ratings to questions related to different dimensions (belongingness, context, etc.); I currently have responses linked to activities and program profiles, which determine the specific dimensions that are presented in the survey.I want to make a Likert chart for each program that shows the distribution of ratings for each dimension. To do that, the response data needs to be arranged as below, where the cells are counts of the number of people giving each response for each dimension:I've played with creating different views, experimented with rollups and formulas, but I haven't found an approach that gives me the output I need without requiring me to transcribe counts manually into the correct table format.Any help or insight (ideally without requiring the purchase of additional extensions) is greatly appreciated!!

Hi all! I’m in desperate need of a way to get the data I have in a table into Google Sheets. I would prefer not to use Integromat, but a script. I’m not a developer… I found a script (https://www.optimi.co.nz/blog/2019/05/11/you-too-can-make-dashboards-how-to-visualise-your-airtable-data-in-google-data-studio) but it pulls all the columns of the table and I would like it to pull only the ones that are not hidden in a specific view. Also, since I will be referring to those columns in other sheets, I need their order not to chance when it updates. Any suggestions? @Bill.French? Thank you!!

Hello and thank you for adding me to this group.I am attempting to do something that on the surface appears relatively simple however I am not quite able to figure out a work around for the issue.I am building out a bidding module to my base.I have a Series of tables starting with "Projects" then "Bids" then "Bid Line Items" where I then roll up the total of a set of Line Item expenses "Bid Amount*" to the Bids Table. I want to use that rollup in the "Primary" field as part of a formula however I get a circular reference error.Is there an easy way to extract that information and use it in a formula? Thank you!

I need help figuring out an easy data entry model for our YOY production reports.The basics: We have ~150 clients and ~75 suppliers (every year some clients leave, some are added, which is true for suppliers as well, meaning those lists are not static). Our clients sell products from our suppliers. Hi everyone! I'm struggling to create an automation. We have a list of customer-support interactions that are either marked as Open, In Progress, or Resolved. For the most part, interactions are resolved same-day, but occasionally, some will need to be left as Open or In Progress, creating the need for a daily email summary that lists those unresolved interactions (if there are any). With that, I've been trying to create a scheduled automation that runs at 8:30 AM every day based on a view (that is set to only show unresolved interactions), and I'd like the automation to only send the email if there are items within that view. I've been trying to configure this, but with no luck. I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly (maybe it's my "Find records" step?) There's currently 1 record within that view, but when I test the automation in it's current state (attached) it's not meeting the conditions. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

I'm making a dashboard from an interface, and when I display a number that is the sum or average of a group of fields it always displays the number with two digits after the decimal. Is there a way to round that number to no places after the decimal?Also for some of the numbers, I want to add a dollar sign to the beginning of the number. Is there a way to do that when the number is using a "Number" field?

Hey there. I’d like to alphabetize one set of records in a table but would like to write a formula that would exclude the word “the” at the beginning when alphabetizing. (I rather not just format as Title, The.) Any possible way to do this, or no, because this is essentially a sorting issue, not a formula/record-naming issue?

Hello! I'm hoping someone here is great with automations/scripting/something to help. I'm trying to run an automation every Sunday to randomize work tasks for my team and then send an email or Teams message. I want it to refresh the randomization when this runs at it's scheduled time. I have 6 members, and already have their off days input. The Airtable randomize values extension works for what I'm wanting (and avoids the cells that are already filled with "Off"), but I can't run it on an automation and honestly, I don't know enough about JavaScript to change the code. Why is the form interface different than editing an existing record for selected related/lookup fields in another table? The form interface for adding a new record is very minimal and only shows 1 field while editing an existing record shows multiple fields. Ideally, I want the new record form to show more details so I can filter out the best option. Hey everyone!I'm new to this and need some help. I have a list of client details that include two attachments: a price list and a software update list. These attachments are used in automated emails. Periodically, I need to update these attachments with the latest versions.I've tried two methods:1. Linked records: I created a second table with the attachments linked to the client list. However, I'm having trouble getting the attachments to appear in the client list.2. Update record automation: My understanding is that I need to first find the relevant records and then run a repeating group to update them. However, I'm facing two challenges here. First, it seems to only find up to 100 records, but our list is much larger. Second, I'm struggling to get the automation to work smoothly.Has anyone encountered a similar situation and found a solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are empty record fields counted as 'Unique' in the Unique total number? I expect not, but just checking.
