Hello everyone,I need help with automation in Airtable. I have two tables: "Needle Tasks - General" and "Needle Tasks - Antonov". The goal is to update records in the "Needle Tasks - General" table based on changes made in the "Needle Tasks - Antonov" table.Here's how the automation is set up:Trigger:- When record updated- Table: Needle Tasks - Antonov- Fields: All fieldsActions:1. Find Records:- Table: Needle Tasks - General- Conditions: Where "General - ID + Project" contains "Antonov Tasks ID + Project"- It finds a record in the "Needle Tasks - General" table and returns Airtable record ID recvhvhDDXVsYTmCc2. Update Record:- Table: Needle Tasks - General- Record ID: Use data from the previous action (Find Records)- Fields: Data is taken from the trigger in Dynamic ModeThe problem arises when executing the second action (Update Record). Hello! I found the "Splitting text to alternate columns separated by ;" thread and was hopeful that it was exactly what I needed, but after trying to implement this formula I am not getting the expected outcome. I'm not sure if it has to do with the format of my data including a mix of hyphens and underscores or if there is something else I'm missing.I have anywhere between 1 to 5 lines of text that I need to break out into their own columns instead of being combined. Hi, I created a form where people can choose if they want 1 or 2 tickets. I have 40 tickets only available. I have no idea how to setup the form and the table so the form close when the 40 are reached.... Any ideas ?  Thank you !

I know this should be easy, but I'm new to Airtable and apparently missing something obvious.I want to let users add a new contact to my base.I have a People table and a Companies table.  They are joined with a multi-to-multi Roles table [Person, Company, Job Title].I've built a form to accept a new People record, but:1) How do I detect if a matching record already exists.  If it does, I don't want to create a duplicate2) I want the form to also ask for the new contact's company and create a new Role. But, I can't ask for Company in a form on People, If, instead, I put the form on Role, then I can't create a new Person or Company; I can only accept existing ones.My assumption is that I'm trying to force the system to act in a way it doesn't want. And, that's fine. I know about the various training resources for Airtable. I am wondering what more advanced users may suggest as far as approaching how to apply the tool to particular problems. We are an HOA management group and are moving away from Town Square in order to build our own internal workflow system. Member data, project submissions, complaints, gate access requests, etc. How does one ‘visualize’ a scenario in which AirTable can address these disparate parts to our system? 

Hello,I am trying to make the process of time tracking more user-friendly. Instead of using the duration field and writing manually each time record, I would like to use two single select fields as StartTime and EndTime pickers, each containing values 00:00, 00:15, 00:30, 15:30, 15:45, 16:00, etc.But I am stuck with a formula that makes a magic difference between these two times.Is it even possible with a formula, or does it need to be done with some sort of script?Thank you

I manage a very large grant program (100+ active grant recipients ongoing), and we're doing most of our data tracking in Airtable.  We want to add a customer/grantee portal, and I have seen various Airtable add-ons mentioned. (We do not want to add each grantee as an Airtable user.)Our main need in this portal is something that can handle/track communications between our team and grantees. We need something that threads or lists all the communications that went to that particular grantee, regardless of which team member sent the message.  ie: Sometimes one team member starts a conversation, then others pick up and continue the conversation. This needs to be clear and easy to follow (no massive "original message" bits tacked onto the bottom of every reply like happens when clients using ZenDesk hit "reply" in email.) I work with a team and we have a field that we write notes in it (I don't like the comments section), the field type in Long text. It is very easy to accidentally delete contact from it. I want to defend it from this by demanding the user to manual saving the changes in the field, i mean like without auto save, that a user will have to hit Save button in order to modify the content. Is it possible? and if so, is there any built-in tool that i can do it with or we will need code / other external tool. By the way i know that we can Undo actions with Ctrl+Z but the problem is that we are not always notice that we've accedantlly deleting something. 

Good afternoon everyone! I’m trying to create custom currency conversions for a project I’m involved with. We’re traveling around the world selling concert tickets at the door of the venues, and each country has a different currency. I want to be able to take the ticket price for each country’s currency and convert to USD which will then be displayed on that record. I’ve seen this script is available to convert currencies, but I don’t know how to make the currency type dynamic as it only seems to show a single currency in the example. How can I edit line 7, where is says “GBP” to take the currency abbreviation from a field that exists within the record (ex, EUR,NZD,AUS). Any help is appreciated!!

I would like my base's users to be able to create interfaces so that they can work with the data exactly how they need, however I do not want to grant them creator privileges. I also do not want them to be able to share interfaces (or event better if possible, share only within our organization). Is this possible?

I am trying to set up an OAuth for Make, as API keys are no longer available to use, and it says not to give Personal Access Tokens to third party companies.I do not understand what the 'OAuth redirect URL' is supposed to be, at the moment I have tried the web address for Airtable https://www.airtable.com/, https://airtable.com/oauth2/v1/authorize, the web address for my Airtable base, but no luck. Hi,I would like a new field that tells me if a date has passed on an old field, called due date.So I would like the new field to say 'Yes' if the date has passed, 'No' if the date has not yet passed, and blank if no date provided.Going around in circles with this one so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello everyone! I'm a new member in the airtable community and wanted help on my airtable problems. I currently have a base table that receives emails, the problem currently is that it saves the whole email chain instead of just the email itself. I wanted to ask if there's a way (scripting/formula) to automatically remove  lines of texts after the word "From:" for every new entry that comes in.  Thank you!

Does Airtable support sandbox instances? So for example if I need to develop and test before moving those changes to production, is there a way to do that? What Airtable capabilities allow this? If not, what have people used as a workaround? 

A few months ago I received an email from product@mail.airtable.com descibing changes to handling of dates and timezones in scripting. Do I recall correctly? Can someone point me to the info it described? I’m still doing manual timezone adjustments in scripts but think this new feature can handle it properly???

Hi,Somehow Airtable doesn't understand my dates as dates so grouping goes wrong. In an interface I have a list of booked events that I want to be grouped by their date. That way, I can easily see day by day how many events are booked. The grouping column is based on a formula picking out only the date from another column where the full date/time is stored.As a European I prefer 'DD.MM.YYYY' as the format, so my formula to give only the date is:DATETIME_FORMAT({date/time},'DD.MM.YYYY')This gives me visually 27.5.2024 for May 27, 2024, which is what I want. The grouping result, however, becomes like this:02.06.202414.06.202422.05.202428.5.202431.5.2024Grouping is apparently performed on the first digits, not as dates.Why doesn't Airtable understand a date that is only formatted into DD.MM.YYYY as a date?Rgds,Björn

Working with birthdays where I only know the client's Month/Day and not their Year of birth.  So text field is 5/12 for example but I'd like to have an actual date of 5/12 so I can set up reminders 5 days before the actual birthday.  I used the following formula but it's not working correctly.  DATETIME_PARSE(Birthday, 'MM/DD')Thank you in advance

Does anyone know of documentation that has an example of creating each field type using Node.js?There are certain field types I am running into issues with such as date fields and currency fields and I can not find much documentation of when an example for each field completed looks like.

Interface designer is nice but on mobile it’s quite pointless and I hope I’m mmissing something. Wouldn’t want to use a 3rd party for building interfaces. the list views show a random number of fields see sceenshot below. How can this be fixed? Also, to add a record - you need to ba an editor.
