Hello - I am trying to get a total count field if student's have passed multiple tests. There are six fields representing each test. Within each multi select field the contents contain: Drop downs for fields:  Pass 4/5/24, Pass 4/17/24, Fail 4/5/24, Fail 4/17/24.  I want to use a multi-select tool so if/when they retake the test, I can note which date they passed or failed. Fields:Test 1 Test 2 Test 3 Test 4 Test 5 Test 6 I would like another column to say, if the fields contain pass, then count it as one. If a student passes 4 out of 6 of the tests, I would like the column to have the total = 4. I am stuck combining the multiple fields. Airtable provides the following equation to count for one multi select field: IF({YOUR MULTIPLE-SELECT FIELD NAME},LEN({YOUR MULTIPLE-SELECT FIELD NAME})-LEN(SUBSTITUTE({YOUR MULTIPLE-SELECT FIELD NAME},",",""))+1)Is there a way to create a formula that will count from multiple field

Hi, I'm new to automations on Airtable and am facing an unusual error:"Name is "foo", Invalid filter on Email (Invalid choice name or id: foo@bar.baz)"My "Find records" step has two conditions (OR), attempting to match on "Name" or "Email".Here you can see a successful test, when a match is found:It is also successful when no match is found, BUT when only "name" is used, and not both name and email, finding 0 results (expected behaviour).  BUT when adding the email condition bac, when there are no matches, it gives the error: This seems like a bug to me, can you advise? I want to have a select field with a couple of options for clients that need a subscription. Like: "1 month subscription", "2 month subscription", ... . This would ideally convert the answer into a 31 day duration field that can then be used in a date dependency to calculate the end date for the subscription. Is this possible?I already figured out that i can convert it to duration using a formula field but then i can't use it in a date dependency...

To any formula ninjas, A column has multiple keywords/values. I need to add a pre-fix before each of the values. From: column: Colour values: White, Black, Blue To: add the prefix “Colour_” to each one of the values in the colour values: Colour_White, Colour_Black, Colour_Blue I created another column with the prefix Colour_, and then a basic concat, but the result is (of course): Colour_White, Black, Blue I don’t know how to add the prefix to each of the values individually, and if concat is the right formula. Detail: not all columns will have a value, so need to consider an empty cell. If anyone has a good idea… much appreciate it ! Christie

Hi,I find myself needing to change at least single select values, and would like to know if there's a way to do that without breaking automations and interfaces?I e.g. have names of event types that I need to change, for example from "Discovery" to "Discovery call" or status kind of values like "Ready" to "Ready for invoicing". Any of these are used in interfaces and automations as discriminating variables to either activate automations or filter what is shown.When attempting to edit one, I get a warning of dependencies, but I can't understand whether the update would actually break the listed dependencies.Thankful for any help how to do this safely. I have a script that I'm having difficulties with. The script is part of an automation block which is triggered by a new record being added to a table called Projects. This record in the projects field has some info about it, (how many episodes, series number, etc) but crucially, has a multi-select field. The automation is supposed to look at the trigger record, which has a field for how many 'episode' records it should create, and then makes the episode records and links them back to the project. It is supposed to also copy the multi-select entries that are in the triggering record and make them the same in the newly created 'episode' records. But it seems to be failing at that, and I'm getting an error: Error: Field "fldYr1BVOeRj2DLLz" cannot accept the provided value. at main on line 43 Can anyone see from the script what might be the issue. Hello there! What's the best way to enable AI for our workspaces? Our organization admin has requested activation through the in-app prompts and contacted Sales directly, but it's been over two weeks without a response. I manage everything for Airtable in our org and I'd initiate this myself and push more, but my org admin can't make me an admin because it appears that Airtable can't make an admin out of a user that has an email from a different domain. If there's an account executive associated with our account, I'd be grateful for an introduction to help guide us through this. 🙂  Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for any help.Not sure what is causing this. I set up an automation to send an email when a field is updated to a certain value.The email is sent but the data from the specified fields are not included and there is an error. Here is the email:-----Subject: New Potential LCR:  - $ - #ERROR!This was just added as a planned LCR expenditure.Estimated Amount: $ Estimated Date: #ERROR!Vendor: Vehicle:-----So there should be data pulled from the fields for each of items. I also don't know why there is an error.The data in the actual table records is there and seems OK. Here is what it looks like:So the data exists, but it's not included, and the estimated date is generating an error. Otherwise the email is being sent.Thanks for any help! 

Hi there— Grateful for your help in figuring this out.I have a single select dropdown field in one cell. If a user selects an option in that dropdown field, I'd like the cell next to it to replace the text based on whatever is selected. So in the screenshot, if someone selects "Brown" in the dropdown, I'd like the cell to the right to show just the text "Color Theme D". Is there some kind of IF statement or formula I can use in that new cell? Is there any possible way to run Data Fetcher from the Interface?I have created a Button following this info https://help.datafetcher.com/advanced-options/run-request-from-button-field but this resides in the data which is not ideal. I want to be able to fetch the data on demand with the click of a button from the interface without ever opening the data. Is this possible

Hi, this is a Voiceflow specific question, but I was hoping someone might have some ideas.I'm making an API call from Voiceflow using a multiple filterbyFormula to exclude words. Hi! I am using airtable to keep track of several types of info connected to individual clients. However, sometimes I need partners/spouses' names to be in the same column. Is there a way to write a formula that only runs when certain conditions are met?For example, as seen in the picture below, my current formula for IN PROGRESS: Client and Spouse column is {First Name (from Spouse/Partner)} & ' and ' & ({Full Name}) I would like that formula to run IF there is a spouse, and I would like the IN PROGRESS: Client and Spouse column to only populate info from the Full Name column if there is no spouse/partner.I tried writing IF statements, but I couldn't figure out.Thank you!

Hi everyone! I have an Airtable base for a virtual event my team is planning for Learning at Work Week. I hope I put this question in the correct area.I am developing a base to use for a contracting business, and I have a column for Distance Driven to job (to calculate fuel used in a different column)when I create the job for the client, it auto inputs the job address into a column, is there a way to have it auto calculate the distance to drive (by inputting my business address as always being the starting address, and the job address being the ending address?)Currently when I am creating the job for the client in the base, I have to open Google maps in a separate page, and input my business address and job address by hand, and manually transfer the number of miles into the base.There has to be a better way, right?

Hi! I'm having trouble with a formula where it brings back text and adds " " when it is done. Here is the layout:Column 1: Formula cell with the following formula {Client} & ' - ' & {Total Volume}Column 2: Linked to another table, displays {Client} names (Example: John)Column 3: {Total Volume} quantity (Example: 10)What I want to get from this formula is = John - 10What I'm getting from this formula is = “John“ - 10Is this because I am linking to another table? It does not happen with every value from the {Client} column! 

Hi… I’m looking for a scripting solution that lets me auto-populate a field with a parent and child relationship. Eg - Column 1 has the children Column 2 has the parent of the child I’m wondering if I can write a script that can populate a new column with the tree hierarchy like this - wco:WC Interface → wco:Area → wco:Block → wco:Image Card → wco:Hero Image Card I have looked at a solution posted by joao_melo which works. Hi!I am testing airtable to see if we can use it to accomplish our needs and have hit a snag with this Project Profiles interface. I created a spreadsheet that feeds the interface, each row is a "project" but I need to display associated data at the bottom of the interface in table format.There is a way to do this by linking to a separate table, but I don't see a way to set the tables as an intuitive 'child' to the given project so that the process is more automated.

I'm trying to figure out the best way integrate my Airtable base with Sages brightpearl.Will this be possible using a script extension?Or should I use Make?Has anyone done this before and what will you recommend? 

I have an attachment field containing images. I see that the stored attachment object has a url property. In another formula field I would like to show just the attachement url. Any ideas? Thanks.

I know I am late to the game here. I have been ignoring the updates until now. I currently have uploads and the links for the uploads through a formula - which allows me to create a download button.I use these so in the public share link to my base - users can quickly select the download button instead of opening the record and downloading the actual file. The airtable documentation says the url will stop working when in formulas. This sounds like my use case scenario. Does anyone know if this will this continue to work going forward?Obviously I thought this was meant to stop working in November, so either they haven't got to my base yet or I am in the clear (because it still works)...If this function will stop working - is there an alternative way to achieve what I am doing when the change happens?

I am the Technology Manager for Companion Health. We are a medical practice currently utilizing Airtable. We recently had one of our employees accidentally remove one of our client records which resulted in me having to review a snapshot and pull the data back in.I would like some advice on what I could do to ensure this is prevented as much as possible.Also is there better backup methods for client data other than the snapshots taken in Airtable?

I have a score card with a computed percentage grade (e.g., 84) that I want to turn into an easy letter grade for my stakeholders.Rather than using a huge nested IF formula I thought I'd try to use SWITCH to compare and create some values.SWITCH( {% GRADE}, >=93, 'A', <=64, 'F')But I keep getting a generic Sorry, there was a problem creating this field. Invalid formula. Please check your formula text. error message.I can't find anything in the help documents talking about using comparison operators like =, >=, <= with SWITCH.Is what I'm trying to do even possible or am I stuck with that massive nested IF statement?Thanks in advance,Anne
