I work with a team and we have a field that we write notes in it (I don't like the comments section), the field type in Long text. It is very easy to accidentally delete contact from it. I want to defend it from this by demanding the user to manual saving the changes in the field, i mean like without auto save, that a user will have to hit Save button in order to modify the content. Is it possible? and if so, is there any built-in tool that i can do it with or we will need code / other external tool. By the way i know that we can Undo actions with Ctrl+Z but the problem is that we are not always notice that we've accedantlly deleting something. 

Good afternoon everyone! I’m trying to create custom currency conversions for a project I’m involved with. We’re traveling around the world selling concert tickets at the door of the venues, and each country has a different currency. I want to be able to take the ticket price for each country’s currency and convert to USD which will then be displayed on that record. I’ve seen this script is available to convert currencies, but I don’t know how to make the currency type dynamic as it only seems to show a single currency in the example. How can I edit line 7, where is says “GBP” to take the currency abbreviation from a field that exists within the record (ex, EUR,NZD,AUS). Any help is appreciated!!

I am receiving this notice when attempting to upgrade: "We were unable to upgrade you at this time. Please refresh the page and try again. If you continue experiencing problems, please contact us."I would think a financial ticket would be considered important. 

I would like my base's users to be able to create interfaces so that they can work with the data exactly how they need, however I do not want to grant them creator privileges. I also do not want them to be able to share interfaces (or event better if possible, share only within our organization). Is this possible?

I am trying to set up an OAuth for Make, as API keys are no longer available to use, and it says not to give Personal Access Tokens to third party companies.I do not understand what the 'OAuth redirect URL' is supposed to be, at the moment I have tried the web address for Airtable https://www.airtable.com/, https://airtable.com/oauth2/v1/authorize, the web address for my Airtable base, but no luck. I'm not sure if this is the issue?I have used the same name and have copy and pasted the client ID (deleted from the screenshot for privacy).The error message I am getting is: This third-party app failed to properly construct a request to Airtable: invalid client_id or mismatched redirect_uriPlease can someone help?I have used API keys before and never had an issue, but I feel completely out of my depth with the OAuth and would prefer to use a token, but don't want to share my personal token with a 3rd party if Airtable advise against it, as it is for a company and I want to keep data s

Hi,I would like a new field that tells me if a date has passed on an old field, called due date.So I would like the new field to say 'Yes' if the date has passed, 'No' if the date has not yet passed, and blank if no date provided.Going around in circles with this one so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello everyone! I'm a new member in the airtable community and wanted help on my airtable problems. I currently have a base table that receives emails, the problem currently is that it saves the whole email chain instead of just the email itself. I wanted to ask if there's a way (scripting/formula) to automatically remove  lines of texts after the word "From:" for every new entry that comes in.  Thank you!

Does Airtable support sandbox instances? So for example if I need to develop and test before moving those changes to production, is there a way to do that? What Airtable capabilities allow this? If not, what have people used as a workaround? 

A few months ago I received an email from product@mail.airtable.com descibing changes to handling of dates and timezones in scripting. Do I recall correctly? Can someone point me to the info it described? I’m still doing manual timezone adjustments in scripts but think this new feature can handle it properly???

Hi,Somehow Airtable doesn't understand my dates as dates so grouping goes wrong. In an interface I have a list of booked events that I want to be grouped by their date. That way, I can easily see day by day how many events are booked. The grouping column is based on a formula picking out only the date from another column where the full date/time is stored.As a European I prefer 'DD.MM.YYYY' as the format, so my formula to give only the date is:DATETIME_FORMAT({date/time},'DD.MM.YYYY')This gives me visually 27.5.2024 for May 27, 2024, which is what I want. The grouping result, however, becomes like this:02.06.202414.06.202422.05.202428.5.202431.5.2024Grouping is apparently performed on the first digits, not as dates.Why doesn't Airtable understand a date that is only formatted into DD.MM.YYYY as a date?Rgds,Björn

Working with birthdays where I only know the client's Month/Day and not their Year of birth.  So text field is 5/12 for example but I'd like to have an actual date of 5/12 so I can set up reminders 5 days before the actual birthday.  I used the following formula but it's not working correctly.  DATETIME_PARSE(Birthday, 'MM/DD')Thank you in advance

Does anyone know of documentation that has an example of creating each field type using Node.js?There are certain field types I am running into issues with such as date fields and currency fields and I can not find much documentation of when an example for each field completed looks like.

Interface designer is nice but on mobile it’s quite pointless and I hope I’m mmissing something. Wouldn’t want to use a 3rd party for building interfaces. the list views show a random number of fields see sceenshot below. How can this be fixed? Also, to add a record - you need to ba an editor. So bad 😞 I have loads of people only doing that. Submitting records. Now I must make a workaround - because through a form it works  

Hi,I have a series of lookup fields that return multiple dates.  I'd like to combine those fields into one, listing all of the dates returned in M/D/YYYY.  I've messed with datetime_parse and format with a concatenate, but the formatting is either not M/D/YYYY or it only returns the first date listed in a series in the lookup field.Thanks for any help!

But when I manually enter data into the source table nothing happens.Here is the automation: This is the destination table. Hi,I'm trying to import duration data from a CSV (e.g., "2:52:32" meaning 2 hours, 52 min, 32 sec). The Airtable  Duration field is set up correctly (I think?) with the h:mm:ss time format selected. I want to keep it as a duration field so I can calculate sums, avgs, etc.When I import the data, the duration is not aligned correctly. For example, the original duration in the CSV is "23:51:52," but when it's imported, the duration is showing as "0:23."What can I do to correct this? Thank you so much.

I am trying to take the word count of a book (ex: 100,000 words)divide that by 9,300 (which is how many words an average narrator can read per hour)to come out with the actual time in HH:MM format. This is the formula I have currently and how it turns out. .   What formula would I use to divide the word count by 9300 to come out with a HH:MM?

Hi,Looking at creating a dashboard for an CRM/ERP application. One key metric to show would be conversion, i.e. percentage of leads that became customers. Since the dashboard "Number" element can only summarise a given column, not perform calculations between columns, I created a new table "BI" to hold various metrics that I will need.In that table it is easy to link e.g. all contacts and perform rollups and formula calculations to get the needed metric. But then I realised I seemingly cannot place an individual record, say "Overall conversion" (formula: customers / all leads) in the dashboard.I found that number or graph elements could be used to summarise e.g. yes/no columns which in a way would show the same information, but I'd prefer a simple "Conversion: 42%" instead of a whole graph with all the other, unnecessary information.How would you go about this?Rgds,Björn

Hi! Currently I have a field which is returning a "Modified At" date. This field is a standard field (no formula) and it is returning the modified date of another field (our "Feedback" field).This is what it is returning in a problematic record:However, when I look at the revision history of the record, it says that the most recent update to this field was one month ago.Can someone help me understand why there is a lack of parity between this modified at date and the revision history?

Whilst a fan of online apps and data, the paranoid in me wonders what I would do if your website goes down or gets compromised. Is there an easy way to backup my bases for local storage?

I know we can export data in .csv format but is there really no option in Airtable to basically download/export the whole DB?
