I have a single table where I have different columns for Town, County, Region etc. I then have a Description field with some generic copy but at the end I want to automatically add the Town name within its row (see image).E.g. Town: Aaron's HillDescription:  Welcome to the beautiful town of {Town}Seems like a fairly basic requirement but I've done a lot of Google searching and I can't find the answer. Any help very much appreciated  🙏  

Hello. I have used the script extension to get the URL stored in the URL field of the currently selected record. I am using the button field to send the URL to the script but ideally, I would want to just click on a record and the extension identifies the currently selected record. However, when I try to output the URL from the record in an iFrame, I simply get the HTML code for the iFrame in my output. How can I display the actual website? While i do see lots of posting and tags saying “looking for a certified airtable consultant” but I am not able to find a accredited program or a pathway to become a certified consultant?

I have a tasks table with a self-linking field that I use to define task predecessors. Is there a way when adding a predecessor to filter the options to show only those that relate to the relevant project/grouping?The problem I am trying to solve is that there may be many tasks with the same name so sorting through them to find the correct one takes time. For example, in my task table I may have the following:Project 1:Task 1Task 2Project 2:Task 1Task 2When selecting a predecessor for task 2 I have to wade through and find which Task 1 is the correct one for the project. May be helpful to know: my tasks table has another linked record field that links to a projects table, therefore each task is tied to a project. 

Hi there!As I am fine tuning the AT bases for our team, I seem to be missing something rather important here and thought I would ask the community about it as it seems to be rather significant.As we create tasks and assign to our team members, we would like the team members to login to AT and view those tasks. They can go into the various views but here they see all the tasks. This is fine as an overall project log. But if they then filter this list to show only those assigned to themselves, it seems to run the filter across ALL OTHER USERS viewing this page!If that's the normal behaviour, how does an editor/team member see only their assigned tasks without impacting the rest of the teams' views? Almost all other PM tools I have tested with (Monday, Asana etc.) have a dashboard page of sorts that shows their open items etc. But a personalization filter on the existing views may be enough for our needs.Please let me know as this is a rather important functionality to keep the informatio

Hi everyone,I am wondering if there is a workaround/solution without using make.com or scripting.I have data in one column for example. Hi.I have two Date files with Time Called Start and Ende.g.:Start=08.05.2024 09:54End= 08.05.2024 12:00in another filed I'd like to calculate this into hours rounded to full 15 minutes using:IF( AND({End}, {Start}),ROUND(DATETIME_DIFF({End}, {Start}, 'm') / 15) / 4) the result of this is 2 which is correct as I used "ROUND"But I'd actually like to ROUNDUP, so the result should be 2.25But when I change ROUND to ROUNDUP in the above formula, I just get #ERROR back Further down the road I'l like to convert the this into "working days" of 8 hours each So let's say I have two entries with 2 hours and 8 hours, that would sum up into 1,25 "working days" reason for this: I'm building a tracker of PS engagements. Customer purchases a fixed amount of days and engineers enter information about what work has been done. Hi, I have researched the forum but cant find the problem to my solution. Every time a record is updated in UseCases, I calculate a field call Environment_textual (example value would be "Negligible risk").I have another table called Environment_pics where I store pictures for each rating (e.g. there is a pic for "Negligible risk"). I want to create an automation which takes Environment_textual and copies it over to the linked field, so I can the picture in the UseCases list.I get an error for the last step.Should I copy the result in the linked field in UseCases or in the linked field of Environment_pics? For use cases it runs succesfully but the value is not inserted, for Environment_pics I get an error "The record does not exist"Please help. A gif would be me most welcome, or any description, link. Hi All,I'm having difficulty automating a task that I need for my database. Essentially what I'm trying to do is to have a default value in the "Link to Field" selection, which is then removed when another option is added. The data is currently pulled in from another table using a 'Link to Field' column, I currently have the automation working to add default option back when options are removed but having difficulty creating the script to remove the default option when a second option is added.Below is my current code, which pulls the current options from the cell and checks whether they are the same as the field being updated, which then passes those choices to an updateOptionsAsync, from which my understanding is the wrong function to be calling.Any help would be greatly appreciated!! let inputConfig = input.config();let currentRecord = (inputConfig.recordID);let table = base.getTable("Deals");let field = table.getField("Properties");let queryResult = await table.selectReco

Hi,I have a table called Launch Calander that I link records from other tables like Email task, Website tasks and Digital & Print tasks.The lookup fields for all the other records show fine in the Launch Calander except for Email.I've tried deleting the linked record for email and starting over by creating it again from within the Launch Calander, then creating Lookup Fields and making sure they are linked to the Email Linked Record. Yet, nothing shows up. 

Hi community, I’m building up automation with Gmail sending records to the mail address of the person who filled out the form. I used the Rollup field to pull the email address from the other table. I’ve run 50+ times testing trigger and all the steps which showed no error, but it never succeeded while actually performing the automation after submitting the form. I’ve also tried to delete and rebuild automation for 3 times but still in vain. I also assured that every cell of mail is not empty. I attached some screenshots of the condition. Is there any suggestion to fix the problem? Much appreciated!

I've used Airtable for several years and have a workspace with approximately 80 bases.  Prior to one of the "upgrades", I had organized my bases in a way that was easy for me to find which base I was looking for and that made sense to me.  Now that the workspaces are sorted by opened by you, alpha, or last modified, it is very time consuming to find the particular base that I am looking for.  The "upgrade" may have been great for many people, but it was horrible for me.I have looked and can't seem to find a way to manually sort my bases so that they stick.  I suspect that this is no longer an option for me.Does anyone have an answer?I tried to contact support, but it has been several weeks and the only communication that I received from them was asking if I had received an answer yet.  Of course, I had not, because no one had answered. Thanks! 

Im trying to set up a BOM (Bill Of Materials), but i have thousands ind different categories and subcategories. I though it could use the use the new dynamic filtering in the the link fields, but as there a many seperate sub categories depending on the material it ends up being quite messy.So I thought I maybe can rig something up in a script extention to have the user run through a bunch of questions to filter out all the irrelevant records to finally be asked to choose from a narrowed down list (as if the user would be choosing records from filtered view). Is this possible with the script extention?

Hello everyone,I'm a beginner on Airtable, I don't really know where to post this message, so sorry in advance if it's in the wrong place, I have some ideas for resolution but it could be in automation, base design or then formulas, I chose to post in Other questions.I couldn't put a screen shot because the data is sensitive. 🙏I'd like to know how it's possible to keep the previous information that filled a field.Let me explain:We're doing a small CRM.So I use the Kanban view based on status and when a customer record hasn't been modified for 4 days, I've been asked to set up an automation so that the customer record goes into "Action Required" status.The aim would be to have an action to return the customer file to the previous status once the action has been carried out by the sales person.The problem is that we have 7 different statuses, so the previous status can be 6 different statuses.I thought of a button, but the rollback action (based on a record) doesn't seem to exist

HelloI've creating a function to act as a rudimentary web scraper to grab some meta data like the page title, description etc using the `fetch()` api. In an automation, this works perfectly as expected. But in a scripting extension, my `try...catch` throws an error message of "Failed to fetch".Are there some restrictions/limitations between automation scripts and extension scripts when it comes to using `fetch()` ?

Hi there,I'd like to set up an automated weekly email for pending leave applications, but only if there are actually pending leaves. When I tried using conditions linked to individual records, it sent multiple emails. And when I used scheduling as a trigger, it still sent an email even if there were no pending leaves. I have an interface with this summary, but can't seem to use it in the automation. Has anyone figured out a solution for this?

Hey folks,I'm having a strange problem with updating records in my Airtable. I set up an automation where it checks if a record with a specific user ID exists. If it does, it updates the record, and if not, it creates a new one.I deleted all the records from the table. Now, even though the table is empty, the update is failing because the automation is finding two record IDs that don't exist anymore.Empty Table:Run automation :The update will fail as it refers to the previously deleted records' IDs. Is it a cache issue of some sort?Any ideas on how to fix this?Thanks!

Hi Airtable Community,I have a table with events. New events can be added via a form and various needs can be requested for the event using a multiple selection field.A record is generated in a second table for each need.I have currently created an automation for each selection option as I have not yet found a way to do this dynamically. However, as there are now around 30 different needs, I would like to make the automation dynamic. Any ideas for a solution? The problem is that the need has to be named correctly and I can't pull this information dynamically from the multi-selection field.Thank you and BestMirko 

I have 2 questions to ask:1st being this:I have 2 tables:1. Revelator Sheet Data2. Client InformationThe "Revelator Sheet Data" table holds the music assets of the clients belonging to our business. To map the assets to the clients (in the client information table) I will use the "payee_id" which is present in both "Revelator Sheet Data" and "Client Information" tables.But I can only link 2 tables with primary fields. The "Client Information" has "Client ID" while the "Revelator Sheet Data" has "Id" as the primary fields. So, when I linked the "Client Information" table to"Revelator Sheet Data" table using client_id, how do simultaneously match the payee_id?For example: Above is the Revelator Sheet Data table. I have linked the client information table using client_id. Now I want that if "Payee id" (in Revelator Sheet Data) and "Payee ID" (lookup field from client information) are similar, the client_id is mapped automatically ie I basically want to map client id based on pay

I'm new to Airtable automations so apologies for what may be an overly complex workflow - any suggestions to improve it are welcome. Goal: send an automated email when someone "invites a friend" on a website. Email will say "Hi {friend's name}, your friend {user's name} {user's email} recommended you join this site", etc. How I've set it up so far: Airtable table with fields Friend's name, Friends email, User's name, User's email Concatenate formula to combine the above fields into a message something like "Hi {friend's name}, your friend {user's name} {user's email} recommended you join this site"Automation to send an email using the text from the Concatenate formula Problem: there doesn't seem to be a way to format the text so when the email sends, it's just a long string of unformatted text. Does anyone know a better way to set this up? 

Hello - I am trying to get a total count field if student's have passed multiple tests. There are six fields representing each test. Within each multi select field the contents contain: Drop downs for fields:  Pass 4/5/24, Pass 4/17/24, Fail 4/5/24, Fail 4/17/24.  I want to use a multi-select tool so if/when they retake the test, I can note which date they passed or failed. Fields:Test 1 Test 2 Test 3 Test 4 Test 5 Test 6 I would like another column to say, if the fields contain pass, then count it as one. If a student passes 4 out of 6 of the tests, I would like the column to have the total = 4. I am stuck combining the multiple fields.
