Hello everyone, I use airtable to manage shopify orders, and i need to print a delivery order that contains all the details (each record has one item from the order, if i have one order with 3 deferent items I will have 3 records), I already designed one with airtable page designer but i cant do deferent records in one page

Hello!Does anyone know how to delete records from a List View? When I select a record and right click I do not have the option to delete like I would from the Grid View.Is anyone else having the same experience?

Currently, formula fields support numeric, date and text output only. Are there any plans to extend formula field to work with other types of output (such as the single select field)? A bit of context: I have 3 single select fields (let’s call them A, B, and C) which represent the status of a task. Statuses may have one of the following options: Todo, Doing, Paused, and Done. For example, given some task, it could have the A field as Doing, B as Paused, and C as Todo. With that in mind, I’d like to have a field D that automatically selects its value based on fields A, B, and C. Let’s say D is a formula field that does some least common denominator logic to figure its value out. The problem I’m facing is that the output type of D is text, and I’d like it to be a single select field’s value type. Also, is there a dedicated place to ask Airtable for feature implementations?

Hey, there! 🤗I have a column named "Time" that has the time a test was taken based on military time.  I'm trying to get the the column "Time of Day" to be able to populate automatically either "morning," "afternoon," or "evening."I believe I need an IF statement. If score time is:0-11:59: morning12-16:59: afternoon16:59-24:00: eveningMy formatting is probably way off 🤣 I am very new at formulas.  This was based off my research in other forums. Thanks! Here's what I tried: IF( {Risk Score} < 0, "error, value too low", IF( {Time} < 12:00, "morning", IF( {Time} < 17:00, "afternoon", IF( {Time} <= 24:00, "evening", IF( {Time} > 24:00, "error, value too high" ) ) ) ) )

Many times we wish to have a single select or multi select field automatically choose an output based on other fields. Automations are useful for this, but are limited and become convoluted as a separate module, especially when you have many of these use cases in one table. It would be very useful to have a single select or multi select field with an inbuilt formula box, where the select output could be determined by the formula. You could then introduce another option to lock formula mapping (ie no ability to edit), or freeze mapping, where an Auto value output would generate unless the field was manually overwritten. The workaround at present is to create three Fields, 1 select field for manual input, 1 formula field for automated input and one last official formula field to take the most relevant of the two previous outputs. This generates clunky database design, similar to when there was no today() function.

Hi, I have a Single Select field that has the options “This week”, “This month”, “This quarter”. I’d like these to be automatically chosen and updated based on a Date field. The purpose of this is to use a Matrix block to display records by a “Event Type” Single Select on the Y axis and in relative date categories “This week” etc on the X axis. Is this possible, or can anyone suggest a better solution?

I created an "upgraded" form and gave users commenter access to the base and workspace. However, when they try to upload a file (images to be specific), they get an "invalid permissions" error. Is there a setting that I am missing? I tried out this setup with the old forms and it seemed to work.

I appreciate your help!I have one main table of English learners who register for classes - name, contact info, etc. Let's call is the Main Student table. There are two other tables that get data related to each student. (One table gets data from Stripe if the student is able to pay anything. Another table shows teacher comments about the student from the prior year.)In the past, we set up links between the tables. Then, for each student, we manually linked the individual records and had "lookup" fields for the fee & comments in the main Student table. But we had 750 learners register with us last year! How can we automate this? I'm thinking that an automation would need to:1. Find matches between the Main Student table and the other tables (based on one or more of name / email / phone)2. Update the record on the Main Student table with the data for that student in the other tables.I have searched for examples (found one relevant one but from 2019) and tried some combinations of "fin

Many thanks for considering my request.I have a Table A. I chose the "When a record is updated" option in the Automation trigger with multiple field selections, and the Next step is Scriptwriting, In the script, I need to track which field has been updated recently (i.e. which updated field triggers this automation).Eg: Table AField 1 | Field 2 | Field 3 | Field 4These four fields are selected in the "When a record is updated" option of the Automation trigger. If Field 1 has been updated recently, we need to track that Field 1 has been updated recently. If Field 2 is updated recently, we need to track that Field 2 is updated recently.Based on the Field update I have to write logic.

Hi AT CommunityI have a Google Sheet which has cell values (text/currency) which I would like to bring into Airtable. Along with those values I need the user to answer some questions. I would like to prefill form fields with the cell values from the Google Sheet, hide the fields, leaving visible only the questions which I need answering. Any suggestions on how I could go about this please? It needs to be a one step from Google Sheet to Form. I have looked into prefilling a Google Form from Google Sheet, this then populates Google Sheet (form response Google Sheet), when a row is added it creates a record in Airtable Base. I don't think you can hide Google form fields which isn't a huge problem, but not my preference. Any other thoughts or suggestions. THANK YOU.

Hi,I have a field with created dates. I would like to be able to create a chart that shows this data, grouping by the month of the created date. However I want the year to be irrelevant. For example, March 2024 and March 2022 to be shown in the same group within the chart.I have created a new field with a formula to show the month only which works perfectly. But then when I create a chart on the interface, they are in alphabetical order and not date order which is not want we want. Can't think of a way to make the chart display the months in date order, or another way for this all to work. Any help is appreciated!

Hello Everyone,I want to copy the whole Table including Column Names (headers), is that possible ?I don't want to type by hand all column names each time I copy/paste the whole table in a spreadsheet for example.Thank you for your help

Hello:New to Airtable and new to the forum here...Looking for a solution to combine records in my field {Component], for every change in records in my fields {Location ID} and {Room}.  For example, in the attached image I would want to combine WF218, W361824, RF9624 3/4, W3330, and so on to B18, in a new field.  This is to correspond with {Location ID} 1-3-302 and with {Room} A Acc Kitchen.  For the next combined field, the result would be ADA SB30, for location 1-3-302 and room A Acc Bathroom.  I would like to accomplish with a formula, but I understand I may need to create a new linked table.  I am attaching 2 views; one is grouped and one is a straight view, for clarity.  Thanks so much!!

Hi, Table A, B, and C. Table B fields are linked with Table A and Table C. I'm trying to run automation. Whenever a new record is added, I will filter the records from Table A and Table C based on the condition. Then I need to create a record in Table B by linking the data from Table A and Table C. Now I can filter the records from Table A and Table C using the Find Records action. but not able to run a nested repeating loop. I can do only one repeating loop.

I have Budget table which has cost field, variable cost, and month field (Jan to Dec). Cost field has some default amount. Variable cost field is editable which user should give some value(amount).Case 1:Cost | Variable | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | ......... | Dec | $60                     $5     $5    $5     $5               $5     Case 2:Cost | Variable | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | ......... | Dec | $60      $120      $10    $10  $10   $10             $10     if the client's budget amount is more than the standard cost. in that case, the user will provide the original amount in the Variable field to split the amount into 12 months. but if the client wants to close the monthly payment early by paying more each month. For exam

Hello everyone,I need help with automation in Airtable. I have two tables: "Needle Tasks - General" and "Needle Tasks - Antonov". The goal is to update records in the "Needle Tasks - General" table based on changes made in the "Needle Tasks - Antonov" table. Here's how the automation is set up:Trigger:- When record updated- Table: Needle Tasks - Antonov- Fields: All fieldsActions:1. Find Records:- Table: Needle Tasks - General- Conditions: Where "General - ID + Project" contains "Antonov Tasks ID + Project"- It finds a record in the "Needle Tasks - General" table and returns Airtable record ID recvhvhDDXVsYTmCc2. Update Record:- Table: Needle Tasks - General- Record ID: Use data from the previous action (Find Records)- Fields: Data is taken from the trigger in Dynamic ModeThe problem arises when executing the second action (Update Record). I receive the error "Received invalid inputs."Details of the error for the second action:- Table: Needle Tasks - General- Record ID: recvhvhDDXVsYTmC

Hello! I found the "Splitting text to alternate columns separated by ;" thread and was hopeful that it was exactly what I needed, but after trying to implement this formula I am not getting the expected outcome. I'm not sure if it has to do with the format of my data including a mix of hyphens and underscores or if there is something else I'm missing.I have anywhere between 1 to 5 lines of text that I need to break out into their own columns instead of being combined. Ideally I would have five new formula columns that allow me to break these out based on them being separated by "\n" or if that it not possible, I can also add a ";" at the end of each line to simplify the formula if it helps!Example Data:abc_def-gh_ij-x-kl_mno-pqu-first-msg-x-240101abc_def-gh_ij-x-kl_mno-pqu-second-msg-x-240102abc_def-gh_ij-x-kl_mno-pqu-third-msg-x-240103abc_def-gh_ij-x-kl_mno-pqu-fourth-msg-x-240104abc_def-gh_ij-x-kl_mno-pqu-fifth-msg-x-240105A sincere thank you in advance to anyone who takes the t

Hi, I created a form where people can choose if they want 1 or 2 tickets. I have 40 tickets only available. I have no idea how to setup the form and the table so the form close when the 40 are reached.... Any ideas ?  Thank you !

I know this should be easy, but I'm new to Airtable and apparently missing something obvious.I want to let users add a new contact to my base.I have a People table and a Companies table.  They are joined with a multi-to-multi Roles table [Person, Company, Job Title].I've built a form to accept a new People record, but:1) How do I detect if a matching record already exists.  If it does, I don't want to create a duplicate2) I want the form to also ask for the new contact's company and create a new Role. But, I can't ask for Company in a form on People, If, instead, I put the form on Role, then I can't create a new Person or Company; I can only accept existing ones.My assumption is that I'm trying to force the system to act in a way it doesn't want. And, that's fine. I'm new to Airtable and 100% comfortable restructuring my base to work in a natural way.So, my broader question is: how do I setup a base so I can link to companies (where multiple people can work in one company and

I know about the various training resources for Airtable. I am wondering what more advanced users may suggest as far as approaching how to apply the tool to particular problems. We are an HOA management group and are moving away from Town Square in order to build our own internal workflow system. Member data, project submissions, complaints, gate access requests, etc. How does one ‘visualize’ a scenario in which AirTable can address these disparate parts to our system?

Hello,I am trying to make the process of time tracking more user-friendly. Instead of using the duration field and writing manually each time record, I would like to use two single select fields as StartTime and EndTime pickers, each containing values 00:00, 00:15, 00:30, 15:30, 15:45, 16:00, etc.But I am stuck with a formula that makes a magic difference between these two times. Is it even possible with a formula, or does it need to be done with some sort of script?Thank you

My CEO opened up her account settings and is only able to change her password. The setup two-factor authentication setting is not displayed on her end.

I manage a very large grant program (100+ active grant recipients ongoing), and we're doing most of our data tracking in Airtable.  We want to add a customer/grantee portal, and I have seen various Airtable add-ons mentioned. (We do not want to add each grantee as an Airtable user.)Our main need in this portal is something that can handle/track communications between our team and grantees. We need something that threads or lists all the communications that went to that particular grantee, regardless of which team member sent the message.  ie: Sometimes one team member starts a conversation, then others pick up and continue the conversation. This needs to be clear and easy to follow (no massive "original message" bits tacked onto the bottom of every reply like happens when clients using ZenDesk hit "reply" in email.) It would also need some sort of notification when the grantee sends us a message. Has anyone had direct experience with any of the portal-creation add-ons to

I work with a team and we have a field that we write notes in it (I don't like the comments section), the field type in Long text. It is very easy to accidentally delete contact from it. I want to defend it from this by demanding the user to manual saving the changes in the field, i mean like without auto save, that a user will have to hit Save button in order to modify the content. Is it possible? and if so, is there any built-in tool that i can do it with or we will need code / other external tool. By the way i know that we can Undo actions with Ctrl+Z but the problem is that we are not always notice that we've accedantlly deleting something.
