Hi! I'm having trouble with a formula where it brings back text and adds " " when it is done. Here is the layout:Column 1: Formula cell with the following formula {Client} & ' - ' & {Total Volume}Column 2: Linked to another table, displays {Client} names (Example: John)Column 3: {Total Volume} quantity (Example: 10)What I want to get from this formula is = John - 10What I'm getting from this formula is = “John“ - 10Is this because I am linking to another table? It does not happen with every value from the {Client} column! 

Hi… I’m looking for a scripting solution that lets me auto-populate a field with a parent and child relationship. Eg - Column 1 has the children Column 2 has the parent of the child I’m wondering if I can write a script that can populate a new column with the tree hierarchy like this - wco:WC Interface → wco:Area → wco:Block → wco:Image Card → wco:Hero Image Card I have looked at a solution posted by joao_melo which works. But i’m wondering if this is doable in a script?

Hi all,This seems pretty basic but I can't get it to work after a day of researching and patching together example code I've found. Hi!I am testing airtable to see if we can use it to accomplish our needs and have hit a snag with this Project Profiles interface. I created a spreadsheet that feeds the interface, each row is a "project" but I need to display associated data at the bottom of the interface in table format.There is a way to do this by linking to a separate table, but I don't see a way to set the tables as an intuitive 'child' to the given project so that the process is more automated.

I'm trying to figure out the best way integrate my Airtable base with Sages brightpearl.Will this be possible using a script extension?Or should I use Make?Has anyone done this before and what will you recommend? 

I have an attachment field containing images. I see that the stored attachment object has a url property. In another formula field I would like to show just the attachement url. Any ideas? Thanks.

I know I am late to the game here. I have been ignoring the updates until now. I currently have uploads and the links for the uploads through a formula - which allows me to create a download button.I use these so in the public share link to my base - users can quickly select the download button instead of opening the record and downloading the actual file. The airtable documentation says the url will stop working when in formulas. This sounds like my use case scenario. Does anyone know if this will this continue to work going forward?Obviously I thought this was meant to stop working in November, so either they haven't got to my base yet or I am in the clear (because it still works)...If this function will stop working - is there an alternative way to achieve what I am doing when the change happens?

I am the Technology Manager for Companion Health. We are a medical practice currently utilizing Airtable. We recently had one of our employees accidentally remove one of our client records which resulted in me having to review a snapshot and pull the data back in.I would like some advice on what I could do to ensure this is prevented as much as possible.Also is there better backup methods for client data other than the snapshots taken in Airtable?

Hey guys,I spent the day trying to get my head around a moving average function. In my case I want to calculate the 7 day average of my Google Ads CPL (cost per lead) metric. I have daily data from Google Ads in my base along with all important metrics like ad spend, clicks, impressions and so on. I also track the amount of leads. For the day to day calculation a formula does quite well but when it comes to calculate things "across" rows Airtable is quite limited.My approach is to use an automation that runs a script every time I update either the amount in ad spend or leads. This way I kind of "fake" a formula field. I am building a base for client follow up. When our clients are a couple, they are entered on the same row in our main table. I have the client name column as a look up field in our Client Birthday table, so it pulls the name from our main table. However, in the Client Birthday table we need them to be on separate rows. Is there a way to use an automation or script to split the client names into two rows?For example, if we enter John Doe and Karen Smith on one line in our main table, could we make them show up in two rows in our Client Birthday table?Thank you!

HiI have a simple script I run each night, which simply attempts to tick a box in about 100 records, which then drives an automation to fire off some reports on activity that day (1 per user). Unfortunately it never completes, it tells me it has failed. It works for many records, but not all. I have similar scripts for other reports. I'm using a script because it fires at a specific time. Any ideas how I can improve this please so that it will process all before timing out. Hello,I need help with figuring out how to lookup the right price of an item for a particular customer from a table.I have an order line item table that contains "Customer Name" and "Item Name". Using this information together I want to look up the price from the price level table.This is the image of the order line item table. I have a customers table where I store all information about my customers. I have an inventory table that contains all the items. The price level table contains all the pricing information. Each item can have different prices for different customers, hence the separate price level table.

We needed a "quick" way to see that a calendar entry was canceled (in the label, which is a text field named "Short Name") without typing it. (We use a check box to "cancel" the event) Forgive me, I'm new. I am trying to create a formula to name my Clients based on the following: If {company} is not blank, use {company} and if {company} is blank use {last name}, {first name} - and if there is a spouse name use {last name}, {first name} & {spouse name}I can't quite get it to work - can anyone help? 

I guess I just don't understand how/why Airtable is set up this way.If I have a Pro account.And another has a Pro account.Why can't they just SHARE one of their workspaces and/or bases with me - with edit access - without my having to pay a 3rd time?! To be a Pro user on "their" account?!That makes zero sense to me. ;-/ 

I'm new here so I do not know that many formula. I imported my tables from excel and I have it generate name of the product with product name + weight. However, I want the numbers that are generated in 2 digits format. And here is my current formula :"[90.0]"&" "&{product name}&" "&{weight)}I tried using Round(), but it didn't help.  

Hi - I am trying to update a forecast in case the field hasn't been updated for over a month. The idea is that if there are no updates, the forecast would lower by 10%. It all looks great, until I have to "Update record", I pull the record ID (dynamic) and added the field "Forecasted" and also make it dynamic. I add the field "Forecasted" and multiply it by 0.9. However, this creates an error. Here are the different versions and the results: "Forecasted"*0.9 --> Error"Forecasted"(0.90) --> Error"Forecasted".9 --> If the original value was $15,000 it shows $150,001 (maybe it thinks I want to move the decimal place?)"Forecasted""Multiply by" --> I created the field "Multiply by" to all equal 0.9 in the data, but whenever I place both of them together, no changes"Forecasted"*"Multiply by" --> Error"Forecasted"10% --> ErrorThis should be simple, the formula is pretty easy, but for some reason I can't get it to work. HiI am trying to use below code (Google Apps Script) to get data from Airtable. The fetch request succeeds but the fields are returned as text [Object]. I am not able to see actual data. However the request works from other HTTP clients like Bruno.I have observed another issue. The code with small change marked below used to return data perfectly till couple of days ago but suddenly started throwing error 422. Hey Airtable Community!I have a problem that's been bugging me for some time and I can't seem to solve it, so I decided to ask for your help.I have an automation on Make.com that pulls data from my bank account, looks for transactions by [transactionId] in my Airtable base and, if not present, adds a new record. The problem though is that the filter formula I'm using in my API call sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.What I mean is when I perform tests, everything runs fine and after a few days the formula stops working - it doesn't identify correctly the records that are already in the the table and adds them again, effectively duplicating existing records. Hi everyone, I'm a beginner at airtable automation (so excuse the novice question) - I'm trying to figure out how to set up an automation to send an email with attachment when a new record is created. Same attachment will be going to all emails. More info: 1. User fills out a form on website with email address. 2. New record is created in Airtable table "Contacts" with the email address3.
