Interface

Hi, Myself and another team member are on the business plan and under the same domain. I have an option of sharing just an interface but another team member under my same business plan and domain cannot.  When they try to share just an interface, it's saying, they need to be on a paid plan. However, they are, they are on my business plan.Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated.

Long text field removes @mentions after field is updated

**3/18 UPDATE: AT support was unable to find any evidence of why this happened; we were also unable to recreate the events and have it happen again. The ticket with them remains open; best guess is that it happened during the same time as a service outage (there was one that affected rich text fields around the same time.)We have a table in a base set up as a simple ticketing system, nothing fancy.Users update a long text field with any actions/updates to the ticket in question.All users who have access to the base access the same way (grid view), though they each have their own view set up.We utilize the '@mention' feature to notify the responsible party after certain actions, and when they become responsible.We've noticed that any time someone enters new information in the long text field and '@'s' someone, the record removes all previous '@'s'.I've watched this happen in real time, and am confident that the system (Airtable) is making these changes, and not the human user, even thou

Automation to copy a date from one table to another

Hello. I have two tables. Project has a date field "submit date." It is linked by the "Project ID" field in Project to the "Project" field in timelines.. Linked records in the "timelines" table vary on category (color team), with one called "submit.". Each timeline entry has a date associated with it. When the "submit date" is updated in Project, it should update the "submit" entry for that project with the new date.I am having difficulty making an automation for this.Step 1: When a record is updated. Step 2: Find records. Find records in the timelines table where the color team is "submit" and the project matches the project from the Projects tableThere is something wrong with this step but I don't know what it is.Step 3: Update recordThis would update the submit date in the Timelines table, but I can't seem to get there.Could I get some advice on how to finish this automation?Thanks!

Kit Inventory Management with parent and child components

Hi, just trying to get some advise on how to start creating an inventory managements base on airtable. We provide kits with have their own unique indentfying number - and each kit contains devices which we record the serial numbers of - they belong to each individual kit. Is there a way to build this out so that the Kit ID "contains" the unique devices? But still make them moveable and flexible ? We also will need to track stock that has not yet been built into a kit - but all with have unique serial numbers. Many thanks for any insights!

Show "Late" tasks in Deadline Alert column as "Done" when "Done" selected in Status column?

I'm using this formula in a Deadline Alert column: IF({Deadline} < NOW(), "Late", IF(IS_SAME({Deadline}, TODAY(), 'day'), "At Risk", "On Time")) I have a separate Status Column to mark tasks Done. Is there a formula to show "Done" (instead of "Late") in the Deadline Alert column when "Done" is selected in Status?

Airtable button triggering webhook Twice

Hey guys, I have a button in my Airtable that triggers a Zap in Zapier. I'm using this code: { "https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/14888220/30r6035/?recordID=" & RECORD_ID() }, but it's triggering the Zap twice. I'm also using multiple buttons, and it's not working as expected. Can you help me troubleshoot this?

Scoring system where number of criteria scored is variable

Hi,We have a scoring system that rates functionality in an interface. So as not to bias the total score, if the functionality isn't present we ask evaluators to give it a -1.In Excel, the final score is determined by a formula that:Counts the number of criteria where the score is >= 0Determines a max possible score based on the number of criteria scored (e.g., there are 10 criteria in a category but only 9 of them got scored the max possible score is 9*3=27 (9 criteria scored * highest possible score))Adds the values for each of the criteria scored to get the actual totalI'm able to use sum to get the total score but I'm not sure how to get the number of criteria scored without using countif which Airtable doesn't seem to have.Is there a way in AT to do what I'm trying to do? Any help is most welcomed.

Return list of zip codes by frequency

Suppose you have a series of records that include zip codes. There may be many of one zip code and a few of a bunch of others. How do I get a list of the frequency of these zip codes? So 14757 occurs 6 times and 14722 occurs 9 times and 20021 occurs 3 times, etc. I want to get a list of the zip codes by how often they occur and if possible a count of that frequency.Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.Scott

Watermark Multipage pdf

I expect this is beyond what Airtable / 3rd party automations can do but if achievable this would be an absolute game changer for me. I would like to create three fields. Field 1 (Single Line Text) / Field 2 (Attachment) / Field 3 (Attachment).In Field 1 - I enter the name of an employee. In Filed 2 - I attach a multipage pdf. Then in Field 3 - I get the multipage pdf with the individuals name across it as a watermark.I've tried programs Zapier, CraftMyPDF, pypdf but hitting hurdles throughout. Any ideas are enormously welcome.

Slack integration broke after duplicating base

I'm building a PTO request workflow in Slack which adds a record to an Airtable. Airtable then automates some downstream steps which will post the PTO to a shared Google calendar etc. It was working fine. I wanted to make some modifications without messing with the original workflow so I duplicated the workflow itself as well as the Airtable. The Slack workflow duplicate allows me to choose that duplicated airtable (I added it to the integration in Airtable) but it simply won't work when I try to run the Slack workflow. Slack throws "The service used for this step isn't available" when I try to run it. I deleted the Slack integration in Airtable and re-created it with a request from Slack to no avail. I also tested deleting the copy of the table to see if the error changed, and it did- Slack would say "The user doesn't have permission to use this step." instead. A brand new airtable base from scratch works, but I don't want to re-create the existing one if I can avoid it. Any

I want to roll up only the n-th of the linked record

Hi,I have a table named "Customer" whose field is "Address"I also have a table named "Invoice" where the associated fields are "Target Customer" where it is linked to "Customer" table and it can linked to many customers; and "Latest Address" which is a roll up field.In my case, i only want to retrieve the last address of the last linked customer. So if i have ["Customer1","Customer2"] in "Target Customer", the "Latest Address" must be Customer2's address only.How can i achieve this?Note: Customer1 and Customer2 are not related to any created time or updated time or any min max value. The sequence is totally random. Thank you

How to get less records in webapi and also get the offsett

Is it possible using a formula or automation to compare two multi-select fields and show which items are missing from the 2nd? I'd like to have a 3rd field that would show just what was missing from the completed list.

The "Add record" and "Add milestone" controls are disabled in our Gantt view. Removing all filtering, all grouping, and disabling/re-enabling "Use milestones" in the view's settings have not helped.'How is this supposed to work?

IF formula assistance using dates

Hello! I'm creating an Airtable base to manage book club meetings. I have a column for the meeting dates (DD/MM/YYYY) which take place once per month. I'd like to have a "Reading Status" column that uses a formula to create the following labels:"All Done" for meetings where the date has already passed"Up Next" for the upcoming meeting"Not Yet Read" for future meetings that are not the next closest meetingI am new to formulas and struggling with how to set this up. when printing a gallery view, prevent cards from breaking across a page

I have a base that is mostly photos, with reference numbers on each one. Because the photos are the "main event", I am trying to use gallery view to print and/or save as PDF.However, I find that cards often break across pages, and sometimes leave the photos invisible. See example, attached.Is there a way to make gallery view print so that cards do not break across 2 pages? Tip: How to get a Field ID from GUI for use in API

Hi! I found a workaround that’s helpful for me, so I thought I’d share. If someone has an easier way to do this, please let me know! Apologies if this has already been posted, I didn’t find it after a bit of searching. The problem I was trying to solve was that when updating a record, a field can be named using its friendly name (e.g. “First Name”), but then if I change it later, even a little bit, my API integration will break. Each field also has a unique ID, prefaced by fld, but I wasn’t aware of any way to actually find that name. Well, it turns out that you can for most fields, with a little trickery: Edit: See drassi’s post below for an easier way to do this. In the GUI, create a new field, and make it a formula. In the formula, refer to the field that you want to know the ID of. (For instance, if you want to know the ID of the “First Name” field, make your formula “{First Name}”.) Update Tables Automation: Invalid Input

Hey I am stuck with the automation of "update records", and this is where I am:1. I have a table named "master project" (primary field) and in each row, consists of 7 sub-projects under the same master project. All 7 projects shared the same status on 4 variables, while each also have different status on 5 variables  2.  I need to break each of the 7 sub-projects into individual row so that I can run calculation based on each row. For this purpose, I have created another table with "Projects" being my primary field. And to continue build on new projects when i have more master projects input from table 1 (above point), I have use "create a record" automation to pipe in full information of each project3. My challenge is, I need to create an automation that, if any update is detected on (1), it should also automate my second sheet (2). But now because I have broken down 1 master project / record in table 1 into 7 rows in table 2, seems like the software is having diff

Access Values from Repeating Group in Script

New to AirtTable automation and surprised this hasn't been asked before, but I couldn't find anything in docs or here. I've got a repeating group set up using List of Records as the Input list. The list of records is only 8 rows long.For each record, I want to run a script. In that script I want to access one of the values from the record currently being iterated over. I was hoping this was passed through `input.config()`, but dumping that reveals only what I manually add as an Input variable.I had this in the script itself, using `selectRecordsAsync` and iterating over each record. However, the operation exceeded the 30second limit, so I thought a repeating group would be better.  thanks

Automation on multiple linked records

Hello y’all! I’m trying to run an automation on multiple linked records from one record, but it doesn’t work because the action expects one record id. Do you know a way to achieve this? My scenario is this: I have an invoice linked to multiple purchase records from another table I want to fill in a delivered date field on the invoice record and fill the purchase records dates using the automation. Why not use a lookup field? Because sometimes there are partial deliveries or the products are damaged and returned. These would be manually corrected then. All the best!

VLOOKUP style matching

Hey guys, Really new to Airtable and not an excel expert either. I have been trying to create a Master Catalog / Master SKU table which contains fields like SKU variations, Amazon ASIN, Category, sub-categories, landed costs etc. I have also assigned a Master SKU code as the Primary and this may overlap for some SKU variations. I want to create another table where I can import the Sales data in excel format, which carries the Amazon ASINs (not all of them populated in the Master SKU) and Units Sold. The excel may also contain other data that is not relevant to this exercise. Similarly, I would like to create more tables to upload sales data from other marketplaces (each has their unique marketplace product ids) as well. How do i get Airtable to recognise these ASINs (or other unique marketplace ids) & match them with the Master so that I can link the records ? Or do i have to key in each line of Sales Data as a New record in a New table and then individually link eac

"Edited by pasting"

I developed a table that looks up records from other tables in a base. My colleagues all say that they have never touched this table, yet revision history of multiple records in the Linked column say that they were "edited by pasting." I have searched AirTable FAQ and can't find that phrase anywhere. Has anyone else seen that with Linked & Lookup fields? Perhaps my colleagues just don't remember that they did this? When I add a new record and see it show up in the Linked table, it just shows that I edited it, not "by pasting."
