I'm new, so apologies for any blatant errors. I'm trying to create a SKU in the table primary field using the SWITCH function based on other fields in the table. My initial try included a lengthy list of colors (all unique) and the 5-letter results (not unique) for output, and the formula failed to even load. Removing the color section, I was able to generate the appropriate results based on the other columns. However, after struggling with the color field and failing, I reset the formula to the original (no color), and now get #ERROR!. I cleaned up and sorted the color entries to perfectly match the fields, and now get #ERROR!, which is progress, I guess, as at least the formula loaded.Next, I added a lookup field for the color code I want in this table and changed the color SWITCH section to reference the lookup field, but I still get #ERROR!. Hi I was wondering if anyone would kindly help. I am creating a form from a grid view I have created. One of my fields in the grid view allows me to link with a master data base and pull all required info through using added lookups. This doesn't seem to be something that forms allows or am I missing something? Thanks for any advice.

Looking for some help regarding a formula. Here's a little context of what I am trying to do. I am working on importing my teams marketing budget plans into Airtable, and so far everything is working well. As a final step, and in order to avoid have two column with repeated numbers for Actual Variance to Budge and Planned Variance to Budget, I wanted to create a formula combining the two numbers and then group by that column (and hide it), so that it is always present but it doesn't need to be repeated. The look that I am going for is ($ x,xxx,xxx.xx | $ x,xxx,xxx.xx)I ran into the same issue that I found a lot of people here have faced. Once I use the currency values in a text formula, I automatically lose the "$" symbol and the number separators. The symbol (even with my limited knowledge) is easy to put back, but the separators were not. I found this solution in the forums. Hello everyone,In an interface page I created an automation that is launched when I click on a button.The automation will allow me to duplicate a record.However, when this automation runs, I stay on the page of the record I've just duplicated.Is there any way of adding a step in the automation, or whatever, so that the new record, which is the duplicate, is displayed?Thank you for your help.Julien

Hi, I am trying to automate a process whereby if a record in one table is not empty, it will automatically create a duplicate record in a different table, filling in some select fields.To be specific:I have a table called tasks. It has a URL field called "output" which typically links to a google doc:I also have a table called "Resources" which I will usually populate independently, but in the cases where there is a task connected to the resource, I want it to automatically create a new record.I was able to make it work in a test, however it only worked for the test record.How do I make it such that all records that fit the condition "not empty" will trigger the creation of a new record. The automation is already set to "on".

I need to understand one thing regarding billing per user per workspace. If I am the owner and at the same time creator/editor/everything of 3 different workspaces, am I charged as “one user” or “three users”? There are three of use in the team who will need access to many different workspaces. Will we get charged per email address (even if that user uses 4 workspaces) or per number of workspaces that user uses? I have a formula in the primary field of my table that combines a Date/time and the name of the brand in the appointment.  Formula I am using: DATETIME_FORMAT({Appointment Time},'MM/DD, H:MM A')&" - "&Brand results are randomly adding 2, 4 and 6 minutes to the time format, ex:04/09, 9:04 AM - Gregory(appointment time is 9:00 am in the calendar column) I'm lost, what am I not specifying that would prevent this? Thanks!

Hi, We have different bases in a single workspace that correspond to specific projects. One tab in each base is the project schedule. We would like to link all of these up in a separate ‘master-schedule’ base that can house a Gantt chart to keep track of our project pipeline. We would rather not have all the projects (dozens of tabs) in a single base. Is this possible with Airtable?

Hi,I have an automation in Make.com that adds a record to a table in Airtable. The connection uses an Airtable Personal Access Token. I have given the token all available permissions in Airtable, but am still receiving the below error message in Make.com:[422] Insufficient permissions to create new select option ""Microsoft PowerApps""I suspect it is because I am trying to add an option to a Multi Select field that doesn't already have this option specified in Airtable. Would appreciate any feedback on where I'm going wrong on the permissioning / access approach - it seems like this MUST be possible.I should add that I am currently on the Free plan; not sure if that has an impact.Many thanksBrett

I have been using this booking form template (here is the community post where I found it) to try and create a student registration form, but I'm running into some snags. I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. The basic requirement is below (once I have that established, I'll play around and try and make it a bit better). What I need is a form where:Student enters in their student ID.Student chooses a research topic from the list.When they submit, this reserves that topic for that student, assigning their student ID against the topic. I have five topics (for simplicity sake: blue, green, red, pink, brown), and each topic has 25 spaces available. Does anyone know why creating or linking records in elements with a linked record source is disabled (locked icon)? Right now, you see this when you mouse over those disabled buttons: This feature is not currently available in Interfaces for elements with a linked record source  Because I do need a linked, filtered, and sorted list element with a record source, I came up with the solution of adding a record picker element, just purely for the ➕ button that isn't disabled. I think the hover message means that the Airtable team is working on it, but not sure what the timing or issue is. Anyone know?

Hello. I am currently on the "Team" plan and by mistake one of our collaborators ended the available automations. Because from this workspace we manage two companies we need to resolve it urgently, although unfortunately after 24 hours of contacting the Airtable Team we still have no response.The recommended solution is to upgrade the current plan. Given that it is a specific situation that should not be repeated, what would be the best way to resolve it? It's okay if I have to pay.1 - Upgrade my current plan to the Business Plan, hoping that this will reset the automation count and then return to my current plan.2 - Since my current plan is annual, if I keep it (not upgrade) but change it to a monthly plan, will this reset the automation count?If you have any other solution I would appreciate it.It seems like a very bad idea to have to change your plan because you made a mistake. I have two automations set up that send me reminder emails when my records hit a specific date condition.  It is a "days remaining" type of condition.  I want to wake the base up every morning so that it can update the records and send the appropriate reminder emails.  Do I need to have the schedule automation first in the list so that it performs that first or does it not matter?

Hi,I am new to Airtable coming from Xano and using Thunkable as my mobile front end.In Xano I can create and API endpoint which will allow me to search for a specific value in a column in a table.  I see that I use the AirTable API to get a record but that is by record id.If I wanted to search by a field, email address for example, how would I accomplish this?ThanksSteve

I have synced my calendar (using sync to an external calendar option under share view) to my google calendar on my laptop. I see the events from that calendar there. On my phone, I have set up to see google calendars. When I look at a date that I know there is an event for, I do not see it. Any ideas as to why I would see it on the desktop calendar, but not on my phone?

I have created a space for the company that my clients can access to see their results (in a control panel, interface). But in order to see their results, currently, they have to create an account on airtable (which is strange for them since it is my company that provides the service)I want to know if it is possible that they can access to their dahboard (interfcae) without logging into airtable, or something similar, it is very important for me.Thank you

I am not a habitual Airtable user, nor am I much of a tech person, so I apologize if this question has been answered and I wasn't able to find it.I am developing a database for my perfume collection using Airtable, and for most parts of this project it's great. I would really like to be able to track the dates that I wore each scent (currently I do this in a hand-written notebook, and I have years of data that I'd love to input). I can't figure out if this is possible or how I might do it. I've been trying to get this to work using a formula but haven't figured it out...What i want: I have a table that contains 1000 records, 12 of which i'm displaying on the web frontend via softr.io. Now what i want is to randomize the 12 records that will be displayed. This does not necessarily need to be randomized each time the page is refreshed/the API call to retreive the records is made. It could also randomize every minute or so.I guess randomisation on refresh/load would have to be made via the API call somehow. But if the API call always retreives records based on a static filter, I would have to randomize the results that the filter retreives on the Airtable side.Any idea how to do this?One simple solution I thought of which should semi-randomize every time the result of NOW() is updated in Airtable: Number records with autonumber. Take the seconds from NOW() and calculate based on the second (which is a value between 0 and 60) which block of 12 records should be taken. I.e. i

I have a table "Products" and a table "Artworks". The Product table has a lookup field to the Artworks table. In this lookup field, I assigned multiple Artworks to each Product (e.g. "Product 1" has assigned "Artwork A", "Artwork B", "Artwork C", and "Artwork D").Product 1 can only go into production once all Artworks assigned to Product 1 have approval status "Approved".In the Products table, I added a rollup field that shows the records from the "Approval Status" field from the "Artworks" table.
