Solved

Hey, is there a way to separate files in an attachment field in airtable?Currently we have customers submitting photos into an attachment that automatically creates a new airtable record. These photos are stored under the one attachment field in airtable. I'm wanting to create an individual record for each file/photo in a different table called photos. For example; a customer submits three photos in one attachment. I want this to trigger an automation that creates a new record for each file within the attachment field. I've attached the code I'm trying to use with no success. Is there a way to do it without code?

Hi, I’m trying to automate creating an invoice on Quickbooks Online by a button press on Airtable through Integromat. While I’m successful in creating an invoice, the invoice is created for a Customer in Quickbooks. However, I want the invoice to be created for a Project of a Customer in Quickbooks, which is what I’m struggling with. Here’s the workflow: Have a Projects table and an Items table in Airtable. Create Invoice button exists in Projects table. On button click an invoice is created for all the items from Items table associated with the respective Project. In Quickbooks: Customer exists. Multiple Projects exist under Customer. Problem: Unable to map the invoice created to a Project in Quickbooks Any ideas, tips or solutions on how to achieve this? Thanks!

Hi,I want to search for 1 item in a table which contains multiple items in a cell - apple, banana, grape. The filterByFormula with the = only works if there is only 1 item in the cell.  If they are multiple items, I get an error.I tried using "contains" and "like" but they don't work.  What should I use?ThanksSteve

I am trying to create a scoring system using Airtable where judges can score a team (with the different metrics in columns). What I have done: Created 3 different tables for each judge Each judge’s table has a list of all the teams (teams are populated as new records across all judges’ tables automatically using external software) Judges can manually key in the score for each metric and an overall score is automatically calculated in the respective record What I need help with: However, I want to create a new table which gives a summary of the overall score for each team for each judge (i.e. looking across a particular record, I will be able to see the overall score for judges A, B and C). And I want this table to be updated AUTOMATICALLY whenever each judge finish scoring the team. What I have achieved thus far is using linked tables and lookup function. However, this is very inefficient as I have to manually choose which the team (or record) to be linked manually before I can looku

Hi there, i'm having issues with letters' case in my filterByFormula text and API call.I'm trying to do a searching box where user can give an input of what they are looking for, and Airtable fetches from a big database. Right now if i'm looking for "Hilfinger" it actually works alright and returns a few records, but if I type "hilfinger" it won't find anything. Here is my API call, i hope you can help:https://api.airtable.com/v0/appk7bV1OTtj*****/Offerte?filterByFormula=SEARCH(%22TEXT+HERE%22%2C+%7BNome+Oggetto%7D)&sort%5B0%5D%5Bfield%5D=Identificativo&sort%5B0%5D%5Bdirection%5D=descWhat would be ideal to happen is that Airtable gets the records even if cases are lower of uppercase.Thank you very much, any help would be much appreciated

I copied the Project management Airtable Template and I see Manual sort as a field type. This is not available for me on any other bases. Is this a new field type?

Hello all 🙂 I've been staring at this and I am sure it is right in front of me but can't see it. I have a table of scenes that have their filming date defined by a lookup field (I link backwards for print result purposes - if you have seen my other posts DocsAutomator saved my sanity)Now the problem is of course that the linked filed doesn't ACT like one, so I cannot sort properly by date. I can group all the same dates together but they sort alphabetically, not chronologically. How do I accomplish this?

Hey Wonderful Community! I am currently having an issue with a formula that I am trying to show as a progress bar. Here are the specifics: I am calculating the percetage of time passed between a start date and an end date. The formula seems to be correct: ROUND((DATETIME_DIFF(NOW(), {Start Date}, 'days') / DATETIME_DIFF({End Date}, {Start Date}, 'days')) * 100, 2) However, when I go into the "Formatting" section of the Formula Field, it gives me a very large percentage which seems to be incorrect (in this particular case the preview shows 345600% but in the formula section, the preview shows 35.56%. I have attached the two images of the settings below:  Please can someone help me? xx

Hi, I am trying to create either a script or automation that will detect multiple records for me. I have my trigger set up, If a record has a scheduled date that was one day ago and the status on it is "booked"I want to then update anything under these conditions to "completed" I am having issues setting up the "updating" feature.  my configuration is as shown. I have NEVER done this type of automation, so I am extremely confused on this. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

This forum has been incredibly helpful, so I thought I'd keep asking questions. Next up is why filterByFormula doesn't seem to work in my node app. However, the formula works in the Airtable UI and when used in an HTTP request via the API.  const base = new Airtable({ apiKey: 'xxxxxx' }).base('yyyyy'); const matchingRecords = []; await base('tblbfJeKQo52GnLWD') .select({ filterByFormula: '{project_id}="3986271"' }).eachPage( (pageRecords, fetchNextPage) => { pageRecords.forEach(record => { console.log(record); matchingRecords.push(record); }); fetchNextPage(); }, err => { if (err) { console.error(err); return; } } ); console.log(matchingRecords); The above returns `matchingRecords` as an empty array. However,  https://api.airtable.com/v0/app49uIs2F0Ca2ES3/tblbfJeKQo52GnLWD?filterByFormula={project_id}='398627

Hello everyone,  I have got this base with active deals and I would like to send it via email to my team, but I want the email to contain the same table as on Airtable. How can I do that? Create a pdf?

Does anybody else notice changed behavior when uploading attachments with the API?AT used to fill the file name property by default, but since last week I'm not getting any value when reading the attachment field. Older attachments have the "filename" as usual, newer uploads have no value in the JSON.Can anyone confirm please? Thanks in advance!

Just to be clear. When I add a lookup field to a table, that field is not accessible direct through `getCellValue`, correct? I still have to get the id of the corresponding Linked Record field, and do another lookup to get the value of the field that matches my Lookup field. Correct? Just want to make sure I'm not crazy, because it sure seems like extra work for what could be available directly in the table itself.

I would love to learn if there is a way I can connect Airtable to social media accounts. That way, I can gather data and create graphs within Airtable that already has access to all of the social media platforms data history. Looking forward to hearing from the community!

I have a switch formula setup to calculate Experience Brief Due Date and Opportunity Case Due date based on the Estimate size of the project, when an item was added during Quarterly Planning. Is there a way to add onto this formula to return the "Created" date if "When was this added to the Plan?" does not equal "Quarterly Planning"?Current Formula:IF({When was this added to the Plan?}="Quarterly Planning", SWITCH( {Estimated size},"Small  (2-4 weeks)", DATEADD({Target in market date}, "-35", "days"),"Medium (4-6 weeks)", DATEADD({Target in market date}, "-49", "days"), "Large (6-8 weeks)", DATEADD({Target in market date}, "-63", "days")))

I have a switch formula setup to calculate Experience Brief Due Date and Opportunity Case Due date based on the Estimate size of the project, however I only want these values to pull in for items that are added during Quarterly Planning (not Intake-Ad Hoc Requests)-- Is there a way to set up the Switch Formula to be conditional on the value in the far right column (when the project was added)? Here is my current switch formula:Experience Brief Due Date:SWITCH( {Estimated size},"Small  (2-4 weeks)", DATEADD({Target in market date}, "-35", "days"),"Medium (4-6 weeks)", DATEADD({Target in market date}, "-49", "days"), "Large (6-8 weeks)", DATEADD({Target in market date}, "-63", "days"))

Hi, I am constantly recieving an annual team plan billing to my credit card from you guys. Which is unlucky 'cause I'm broke and there's no money left in my card. I've downgraded to free plans. Could you kindly take back the billing? Many thanks.

I have two bases: Contacts and Matters. In Contacts, there are two tables: People and Companies. In Matters, I have a table (Matters) with a field for Clients. I know i can sync People and Companies to the Matters base. However, is there a way to link the records for People and Companies to the Client field? I only see a way for one or the other.

I need next result - Text & Date. Date should be in format MM/DD/YYYY. But now as a result I have time also. It is not expected result. Formatting tab is not available for this case. Below I attached the formula I use. I would be grateful if somebody helps me to remove time from my formula.

Hi,I am a Airtable newbie and am having a bit of a challenge figuring out how to properly link 2 tables.  Table 1 (Vehicles) stores Vehicle data - Plate, Make, Model, etc. Table 2 (Fuel Log) stores  - Plate, Litres and Fillup DateI would like to include a field in Table 1 that shows the total litres for each vehicle.  I have tried linking by Plate (not sure if that is correct) and can't figure out how to show the total litres in table 1. I would also want to be automatically update the total in the Vehicles tables when a new row is added in the Fuel Log table.Would appreciate any assistance.ThanksSteve

Hello all,I'll be inputting a cost figure in one column, how do I automate a calculation in another column (ideally the same table) to work out the cost price inc VAT (20%)?

Hi! I’m creating an automations on Balances table. I need to track all the changes in the table. I have a possibility to create an automation when the record is created or updated. But how can I run an automation (to run a script) when the record is deleted? Thank you!

Dear Community! When creating a timeline view with a "Day" timescale the horizontal axis ranges from 1st Dec 2023 to 20th Aug 2024. Is there a way to adjust these start and end dates of the timeline?I'm trying to make use of the timeline view for planning shifts during an event that only goes for a few days and the massive range on the horizontal axis makes the view basically unusable.Best regardsHenry

Hi everyone,I did see this post but since my table is a synced to google drive I can't change the primary field.Does anyone have another solution to display field data in the linked record field?@ScottWorld ?

Does anyone know the formula to subtract 3 hours from date and time field but... show just the time please? This formula provides the correct answer showing date and time but... DATEADD({Departure Date & Time},-3,'hours') ...when I add this to the formula to they and show just time -- the time is completely wrong. DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD({Departure Date & Time},-3,'hours'),'h:mmA') My attempts have resulted in a series of #Errors. Any ideas please? Thank you.
