Hi all -Airtable newbies here! I'm an ops manager supporting a team that has a ton of gates/deliverables. There are lots of dates (50+) and it is cyclical every 3-4 months. The team has told me it would be helpful if I created calendar invite reminders for their outlook calendar to keep them on track. I've already inputted all of the deliverables and dates into airtable and created some great calendar tools, but am having trouble creating the piece to bridge the gap to outlook calendar reminders.I was able to create an automation tied to a button on an interface. However, I'm finding a few limitations to this and wondering if anyone has any great solves?I have to press a button for each record/date individually. Is there a way to set an automation to apply to all records with certain conditions? (for example, add outlook reminders for all dates in X cycle?)I can input a distro list for attendees but I would love if it looked up to a field of emails from a table and then used those

If I create a survey form (interface) to be filled out for project requests - do the other departments making the request using the form need an Airtable license? 

I have created a table with days off of the team. BUT for instance a person takes 2 days (22-23//24) the airtable count it as 1 day. Is there any other way to count is as 2 cuase actualy the person will be off 22 and 23.Thank you

Hey all! I'm back with a new issue that I'm hoping won't be too hard to solve but I can't seem to find the solution myself. I have two fields that I need to combine. Field 1 contains a variable, such as GKM3, GKM5, etc. Field 2 contains comma-separated values like L16, L17, L18. I have been trying to find a formula to combine the value of Field 1 with each of the values of Field 2. So the output in the 3rd field would be GKM4L17, GKM4L17, GKM4L18. Unfortunately, when I try a concatenate or substitute function, it only appends the Field 1 value onto the first value in the list, like in Field 3.  I would really appreciate any help! 

Hello, I created a table of articles I published on my site.  For each row, I inserted the article title, publish date and various tags.   I would like to create a view/report so that Airtable presents me with one long report of all my articles organized first by a single tag..and then for each tag category it would sort the articles by date.Here's what I did:Using the "Group" feature,  I grouped by "categories" (all my tags)  and then i added a subgroup of Date.When it showed me the results (see attached), it showed me rows organized not just by a single tag, but multiple tags.  (It seems it's doing that based on how I added multiple tags to the end of a single row in my airtable).How can I see a long list of all my articles grouped underneath multiple  "single" tags (versus multiple tags)?  thank you,Matt   

Hello!  I'm trying to come up with a formula or script or something that will let me know when a duplicate record was entered into my table.  I know I can use Dedupe to find current duplicates, but this is an ongoing issue and would love to be able to be alerted if something is entered into the base that already exists.  I saw another thread from a few years ago that said this was possible with a script.  Anyone have any insight?  Basically I'm thinking that when a new record is created... the script will run and based on the results of that script it either will or won't send me an email.   Hopefully that makes sense!

Page Design is really useful but I can't do a seemingly simple thing.I have a list (view of a table) and I want to layout it and print it in PDF with Page Designer but I can't find a way.It seems you can only print a single record at a time.Can you tell me if there is a way?Thank youDanilo

Hi there, I would like to use a formula in the primary key column of an airtable data set to create a unique ID, or autonumber, but i want that number to recalculate when i insert a new row anywhere in the master data set so that the ordering is retained. if you use the autonumber field type, it will create the record using the next available number, then all my views start to loose the ordering i want.is there a way to write a formula that will re-calcuate the primary key column to retain the existing order, with the new record in place.  For example: 1 TestA2 TestB3TestC If i insert a row between TestB and TestC, the primary key would show as follows:1 TestA2TestB3Testnew record4TestC 

I created a scheduled email to send weekly when the status of my table matches certain conditions.  The message was done in a grid view to include the column information.  I am trying to figure out how the user that receives the email can actually update the records using the email instead of having to go into the base table. What am I missing? Is there a way to click to the records in order to update from the email that is sent out.  Thanks!

I have a table of job roles and another table of knowledge items. The job role table is linked to the knowledge items table. I have an Excel spreadsheet that lists the knowledge items for each job role. It looks like I can only paste one item at a time into the linked field. I'm trying to write a formula to remove the "➟" if the preceeding field is empty.Current Formula:Origin& " ➟ " &{Destination}&" ➟ "&{Backhaul From}& " ➟ "&{Backhaul To\\Return}& " ➟ " &Origin &" - LANE #" & {LANE#}  Here is the output of the above formula.  Formula above works great, (example 1 below) but if there is no data in {Backhaul From} and {Backhaul To\\Return} the result is example 2 with 2 extra arrows.  Example 3 is the desired results. 1) Walmart ➟ Kroger ➟ Target ➟ Walmart - Lane # 12) Walmart ➟ Kroger ➟ ➟ ➟ Walmart - Lane # 23) Walmart ➟ Kroger ➟ Walmart - Lane # 2 I've tried BLANK() IF AND with no luck.  Can this be accomplished? 

Hi all, I currently struggle with how I should manage all team members. I would like to have them in a table called "People" (Person Name is just a single text field), with Birthdays, Joning Dates, Headshot image, title, which domain they belong to etc. Then other tables like tasks will have an assignee who is linked to the peoples table. So far so good. This would allow me to have nice overviews within Interfaces like in this template:No I noticed during Form creation for Tasks that I can't have a default value "current user", nor that automatic notifications are possible if someone got added to a field. Is there a way to solve this and bring this together?Like if I select a "User" in a task that they will get notifications and that the task will be then also linked in the "People" table? Update: Right now I am planning to use automations for notifications and to do that I added an email field in the "People" table. If someone has other ide

Hey all, I have a table where I have all team colleagues, with Photo, Email etc. If I will now select an Assignee for a Task in the Tasks table I will get a pretty nice view with all key information and a photo, which I really like. Image with data from an template: However, in Interfaces / Forms it happens sometimes that it is just a plain checkbox list. In other places, like if I am opening a record in an Interface it seems to work and I just have to make sure the layout is select to "cards". I did it for Forms as well, but here I can't select the fields which should show up. Is this a bug? Is there a way to have always this "cards" layout?

Hi everyone,I'm relatively new to Airtable, and I need to automate a simple report that aggregates metrics within an Airtable base then emails it to users. Here's some examples of the performance metrics I want to calculate:Total A IDs generated (there are multiple kinds of IDs)A ID "win" rate (i.e. when IDs = A,  and winner = TRUE)CTR increase per minMost winning ID B/C/D -- (ex: D by XX% over B and by XX% over C)Total testing time: XXX minsAvg testing time: XXX mins/testI've setup the initial framework of the automation (i.e. sourcing the table and emailing it users), but I'm struggling to aggregate the metrics that I want sent out. Right now, my rollups are only working on each row, instead of aggregating the entire column. When I try adding a SUM or COUNT formula at the bottom of each column, it doesn't work. Any assistance is much appreciated! 

I looked for other solutions on the forum and either I'm too much of a novice to know how to solve it or it didn't work for my problem. I have a rollup field that is collecting multiple dates. I'd like to have it only return the earliest date in the list.  Is that possible?  I tried using MIN(values), but only got a 0 in the field.  Thanks!

Hi everyone,Since the storage for my attachments is limited, I've compressed the images and uploaded them on Airtable, and stored the high-quality ones on Google Drive. Now, I want to add URLs to shared Google Drive images so they can zoom in on the image (a function that Airtable is currently missing).Because there're records that contain multiple attachments, they will have more than one URL. I can add multiple URLs in a long text field but they display as lengthy URLs and don't look nice. Is there any way to display it as multiple buttons?Thanks in advance

I have a series of Interfaces that all start with the same record picker.  I'd like to pick the appropriate record in the record picker of the first interface and then pass the value I've selected in the record picker to the remaining interfaces so that I don't have to pick it at the start of every interface.  Is there a way to do that?

I'm debating on changing a single-select field to a multi-select field, but I'm uncertain on the effect it will have on all of the dependencies.I have a Progress flow that follows cold leads (potential investment deals) into committed investments, where we then put the deal into either a 'Syndicate Investment" view or a "Fund Investment" view, but some deals have both investments. SO, in the view prior to putting them into one of these investments, i'd like to change the single select to a multi-select that will allow me to put 2 tags on select investments where both the syndicate and fund will invest, thus moving the deal into both views. Is this going to screw up my full flow process? 

A noob here with Airtable. I've been looking for a way to consolidate data automatically between two tables.I want to match sales data from store into product database. At the first table I have product properties database. At the second table I have sales data from the system. They share in common the product code.The first table looks like this:Product code | Product name | Product units sold | etc...The second table looks like this:Product code | Product units sold | etc...Problem: As the sales data is imported into second table with DataFetcher extension, it is not easily connected with other product data. I'd like to somehow combine this data automatically, so that when browsing the first table, it would fetch the units sold information to each product based on the common product code. I would imagine the solution to be running an automated script? The script would be like:if [the product code in table 1] = [the product code in table 2]then set [the product units sold in table 1]

I've got a little script on Zapier where if somebody registers for a Zoom meeting, we add them to Airtable. To avoid duplicates, I search for to see if we already have a record for the registrant with a query like this:OR({Email 1} = "{{email}}",{Email 2} = "{{email}}",{Email 3} = "{{email}}",{Phone 1} = "{{phone}}",{Phone 2} = "{{phone}}",{Phone 3} = "{{phone}}")However, if Airtable doesn't find the email in any of the three email columns and the {{phone}} is blank, then Airtable will return a result for a record with a blank phone number, which is obviously not what we want here.Is there any way to construct a query that will not return a match for an empty phone number?Thanks!

Hi, Myself and another team member are on the business plan and under the same domain. I have an option of sharing just an interface but another team member under my same business plan and domain cannot.  When they try to share just an interface, it's saying, they need to be on a paid plan. However, they are, they are on my business plan.Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated. 

**3/18 UPDATE: AT support was unable to find any evidence of why this happened; we were also unable to recreate the events and have it happen again. The ticket with them remains open; best guess is that it happened during the same time as a service outage (there was one that affected rich text fields around the same time.)We have a table in a base set up as a simple ticketing system, nothing fancy.Users update a long text field with any actions/updates to the ticket in question.All users who have access to the base access the same way (grid view), though they each have their own view set up.We utilize the '@mention' feature to notify the responsible party after certain actions, and when they become responsible.We've noticed that any time someone enters new information in the long text field and '@'s' someone, the record removes all previous '@'s'.I've watched this happen in real time, and am confident that the system (Airtable) is making these changes, and not the human user, even thou

Hello. I have two tables. Project has a date field "submit date." It is linked by the "Project ID" field in Project to the "Project" field in timelines.. Linked records in the "timelines" table vary on category (color team), with one called "submit.". Each timeline entry has a date associated with it. When the "submit date" is updated in Project, it should update the "submit" entry for that project with the new date.I am having difficulty making an automation for this.Step 1: When a record is updated. Step 2: Find records. Find records in the timelines table where the color team is "submit" and the project matches the project from the Projects tableThere is something wrong with this step but I don't know what it is.Step 3: Update recordThis would update the submit date in the Timelines table, but I can't seem to get there.Could I get some advice on how to finish this automation?Thanks! 

Hi, just trying to get some advise on how to start creating an inventory managements base on airtable. We provide kits with have their own unique indentfying number - and each kit contains devices which we record the serial numbers of - they belong to each individual kit. Is there a way to build this out so that the Kit ID "contains" the unique devices? But still make them moveable and flexible ? We also will need to track stock that has not yet been built into a kit - but all with have unique serial numbers. Many thanks for any insights!
