Hi! I'm trying to set up my first automation so that whenever someone submits a survey, AT sends that person an email with a summary of their responses. The client base are outside of the company and don't use AirTable beyond this survey, so I figured the automation route would be best. When I test using a test record I created in the base, it appears to run successfully. However, the first person submitted the survey yesterday and the automation keeps failing with the "The "To" input is empty" error. I currently have it set to popular the "To" field based on what the user enters in that question on the survey. I triple-checked the run that failed, and the user entered an email in that field, so I'm not sure why it's still saying it's blank. Should I add another step somewhere? Thanks in advance for any help! 

We create QR codes pretty frequently in our marketing collateral and it's not infrequent that we find out after something has been printed/distributed that we need to revise the URL it's point to for whatever reason.   I know there are a few services out there to generate a QR code. Is there a way to manage the associated URL though so if we need to redirect it at some point, we can?   

Hi guys!I'm using Ubiqod for attendance tracking in our company. When you scan code, you click on the correct button (arrival, break, going home). After you submit it, the data comes to google sheet and with automation it gets to the Airtable. Now the problem occured. The timestamp from the google sheets it's not the same in the airtable. My guess is that this has got to do something with the different timezones. In googlesheet it's correct timestamp, in airtable it's 2 hours later.This is timestamp from google sheet:This is timestamp from AT:How can I transform this date in AT so that the hour will be correct (it was supposed to be "14:07" not 16:07). Thanks! 

Hello! I've got an inventory board ("Print Products") that has hundreds of products (each with variable quantities). I add new amounts of each product regularly (in "Order Received" and "Products Received" for individual line items). When I sell items they go in "Order Sold" (with "Products Sold" for individual line items).The problem is, I move various amounts of various products between multiple locations. Sometimes they sell at a location, but sometimes they don't and I need to move unsold inventory around between locations. I created another table "Currently At" to try to keep track of how much inventory was at each location, but I'm finding it incredibly time consuming and tedious to input each quantity one line item at a time so that I can check in/check out the different quantities of each product. I was able to write an automation so that when I put something in "Products Sold" it automatically put it in "Currently At" with the correct quantity decrement. I can make forms

How can I display a ratio between two values in interface (dashboard)?I have the field "hours" in a base.In the dashboard I want to display the number of hours last week divided in a static number.Like:All records from last week.Total amount of hours from those records.Divided in 8.Plot this on a chart so I can see progress over time. I'm OK to go through a new table in the base to solve the problem

Hi Airtable Community,  is there a way to auto assign tasks according to a single select field. I have a single select with multible Teams (CRM, Website, Social Media etc.). I want a new record to be auto assigned to the team lead of the team from the single select field. New records will be created with a form.  Best regardsMirko

Hey,I have an automation that when the status changes to "done" an email is sent to the customer.Is it possible to send an email to the customer from the email of the user who changed the status?For example, if I change the status to "done" then an email will be sent to the customer from me, but if someone else from the company changes the status then an email will be sent to the customer from him.

I need to search records in multiple databases and if the search result is not empty then set a variable for that particular organization. I will then compose an email using non empty variables. Scan Airtable A base, if the output is not empty, set the variable Clinic A to results. Scan Airtable B base, if the output is not empty, set the variable Clinic B to results. Compose email that includes non empty variables: Hi John Smith, Please submit the following items: Clinic A variable (has value - not empty) [Clinic B variable is not included as the variable in the previous scenario was empty due to no search results) Can’t figure this one out as Integromat requires everything to go in a flow as I am using filters to filter in or out empty search results. But if search results for variable A are not passed then the rest of the flow does not happen.

Hey guys, I host my own pub quiz and since I’ve done around 80 of them I start forgetting and sometimes I add question I had before. I’m looking to make a database which I’d update after each quiz so I can quickly search for keywords or answers. This tool does seem really useful and I’m willing to explore it. Is there anyway to change the text alignment for long form text to be left justified instead of right.  See screenshot.

My text fields imported from excel have a question mark where an apostrophe should be.  Is there a simple formula to correct this?

Hello AirTable Community,Here's a fun one that I hope I can pick some brains on.  We have a Workday integration that creates an employee directory that feeds quite a few bases. With the Workday integration, we have to use a unique identifier - that being employee ID. However, employee IDs are not regularly used in our company so many do not know theirs. When filling out a form, they would typically use the employee name, which is not the primary field in the Workday integration (because of the unique identifier requirement.)Is there any way, via automation or some other method, to have the linking record be the employee name instead of the employee ID? If not, has anyone made a successful automation that would switch these columns after each sync with the Workday database? This has become quite a big blocker for us, so hoping someone has an idea of how this might be accomplished. 

Is it possible to limit the options for a single select field in an interface form? i can definitely do this in a regular airtable form. but i can't seem to figure out the way to do this in an interface form.example: single select fieldOption 1Option 2Option 3Can i make the interface form only offer them the choice of Option 1? or only Option 1 & Option 2, but not display Option 3 as a choice?

I have a URL field that I need to grab specific text from (in bold). Hoping someone can help me.  I'm sorry if this is not in the correct section.  I'm new to this and not sure of what to call most things.   I'm a crafter and i'm trying to use Airtable to keep an inventory of my craft supplies.  I have imported data from a different system, and have titled the column that contains the URLs for the photos  as "Image" and defined it as URL.  However, i can't get the images to populate.  I wrote an email to airtable asking for help, and although i keep replying to emails saying they're busy, with i want to wait, it's been well over a month and i still don't have a response.  I have tried looking up on the internet in various places, and have found issues the same as mine.  However, the fixes they show apparently are from a different version of airtable than is currently available, as many of the screens they show have different options from what I see, and i have not been able to equate the old to the new t

Hello,I am working on a base that includes artists' names and a lot of them have diacritics in their first and last name. Is there a formula that I can use that could identify if there are diacritics used? It can be a simple True or False formula that I can then use a filter to isolate everyone with diacritics in their name. For First and Last name I am used simple Single line columns.A list of names is important because it is used for a remapping feature on our website, so the end result for airtable needs to be a filtered view of names. I appreciate any help you can provide with this. 

I have a single line text field as a primary key “name” field. if it is blank when I save the record, I would like to automatically fill in the name as a concatenation of three other fields that are in the record. How can I do this?

Perhaps I’m missing it, but how do I generate random numbers? I am missing “randbetween” and “rnd” from Excel. Thanks for any and all help.

I’m curious if there are any plans to add conditionally shown fields to Interfaces, similar to what is possible in form view? For example, if you’re tracking network outages you might use one field to specify that the cause is a power outage, in which case you would want other fields to appear that let you specify when the power outage started and ended (so you can track UPS runtime when the power goes out, and site recovery time when it comes back.)

I’ve been trying to delete a published interface but can’t find where to delete it. I opened the interface and looked for a delete button but couldn’t find one. I exited the interface and went to my workspace to see all of the bases and interfaces I have, but I couldn’t find an option to delete it there. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm playing with the interfaces and I have a question. Is there any way I can share an interface with a person that hasn't an Airtable account?I don't want to add them as collaborators, because they should see only that interface (not the base) and I don't want to ask them to create an Airtable account just to see my interface. My final goal is sharing the interface link with an automation through email. Is there any way? Thank you!

Hi all! I thought I would share some things I wish I could do on Airtable right now, manifesting that they may be future features.1. In a long text field, I wish I could use bullets and hyper links. This would help display cleaner for the field in interfaces2. I wish I could save a record as a PDF from an interface - from the record selector and single record layouts. I know this can be done in Page designer extension but - to my knowledge - page designer does not dynamically space. And its not nearly as easy to customized as an interface.
