I have a user that can't click an interface button which runs an automation. The automation primarily updates a field that is not visible through the interface. My user, who has access to the interface but not the underlying base, is unable to click this button. It is greyed out. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the error message you get when you hover over the button because another user 'helped' them and moved the workflow along.Is it the current expected behaviour that a user with interface only access can't run an automation that changes the base? Or is there something else going on here?

I'm sure you'll be able to give me some ideas to figure out the best way to accomplish what I'm trying to.I have a base with 6 tables: Check-in, Market, Business, Operations, Traction and Finance.Forms with data will arrive in Check-in table. Since is a lot of data for the customer to fill in one time, we had to split fields in 5 forms which collect the real values of customer business and 5 forms collecting projection values.Customer will answer this every month, so we have an Evaluation Month field in every table. Also, and that's one messed up thing, they need customer be able to send data in more than one form. So this would work something like, on first month, customer knows 4 of the 8 questions, he will send a form with these 4 answers; then, when he gets the other 4, he will send another form with the other 4 answers. Hello!I realize that Airtable most likely wants to push forms to be built via Interfaces, but of course, many forms have already been built by users in the standard table views. When going to a form view within the table (not Interface), we get a popup window that states the form has been upgraded and then two buttons: "Edit Form View," which lets us edit in the old form view option within the table, or "Go to form builder," which takes us to the interface version. The user responsible for this base is not interested in using the Interface version at this time and so they click "Edit form view." However, what is annoying is that every time the form view from the table is brought up, the popup has to be cleared yet again.We understand that there are two ways to approach this form now. Hi. I've bumped into an issue when I want to send an automated email based on a field containing an email address. I've got two fields, one lookup that shows me the email address based on a selection from Email-Committee List. Help articles suggest using this formula -->> CONCATENATE({Committee's email (from Email-Committee List 2)}, "") but when putting --Calculation-- field in the --to-- field in the automation it comes back with the message that "The "To" input is empty" and I don't know what I'm doing wrong there.

I am creating a budget and have amounts incoming at various frequencies. I want to create a field that calculates the monthly amount based on a formula. Hello, this is an airtable newbie question:I have searched here, watched videos, and am completely failing with the following problem:I want to create an automation that sends a mail to ALL mail addresses contained in table 2 when a data record is added to table 1.I have the trigger, it works, it's simple.In the actions, I only have access to the data of table 1 in the To: field (where the mail addresses should go), not table 2.How can I access the data of table 2 at this point?Does anyone have a comprehensible tip for me?Many thanks in advance for your timeBoris

Beginner here, asking a question which has no doubt been asked a lot and probably has a simple, obvious answer! Apologies in advance...I have one table containing all of our customer bookings. In this table there is a formula field that takes the date that the booking was made and assigns it a week number based on a weeknum formula.I have another table where I have the week numbers listed from 1-52 in a field. The outcome I want is to have other fields that adds up figures from the customer bookings that took place in the same week number. Hi, I don't know if it is possible and I don't how to do it, or if it is a feature that is still not available in airtable.I have 2 tables: Reports and Users.I divided the reports by categories (1,2,3 etc), and I created different views for each category.I would like to lookup or rollup the category in the user table based on the different views that I created in the report table. In this way, I will filter the users by the categories, and I can apply some automation. Without this feature, I have, for example a person that has this: I would like, for example, that this person has only the code "5" and filter all the other data based on that.Is there any way that I can do this? Thank you 🙏

I want to store the total number of employees in the programs table to calculate the participation rate. Additionally, I'd like to break down the number of employees by position to calculate the participation rate for each position. I have three tables: Programs, Employees, and Tasks. While I can easily count the number of employees who complete each program or task, I am struggling with creating a field that sums the number of employees from the employee's table and places that total in the program's table to calculate the participation percentage.

I'm having a hard time finding a simple script that will allow you to duplicate a record via automation.My end goal:Trigger: When a record matches a condition (i.e. a checkbox is checked off)Action: Run script --> this is where I can't find a script online! I need to evaluate whether or not an attachment field is blank with an IF statement. Variations of double quotes and the BLANK() function don't do the trick. Any ideas?

Hello,This is a variant on an earlier topic. I have a base where users input lengthy URLs into several fields, and corresponding display text in separate fields. I've been using the workaround where a formula field does this calculation: CONCATENATE("[",{name},"](",{URL},")") and an automation takes that field and copies it into a rich-text-formatted long text field. It's clunky, and even clunkier when you have a bunch of markdown formula fields in your base. I'd like to do this with just an automation, but when I try to do it exactly the same way, I get text output like  [Airtable](www.airtable.com)whereas my formula approach gives Airtable  Here's the automation script I'm using. Hello, I am new to airtable. I need help with records. I have created 1250 records in my table even though i am on freeplan. I am not sure if i should add more rows records or not? 

My first post! This community has been very helpful. I’m still fairly new to airtable and hope someone can help with this problem. I have a Google Sheet with a date field, a start time field, and a stop time field. I want to import it into a table with 2 fields: {date and start time} and {stop time}. I tried to join fields in google sheets, then upload, but it only uploads the date correctly, and the time is ‘12:00am’. I’ve tried different date/time formats, but that hasn’t worked, and made the problem worse in some cases. For example it only works with the 12 hr format, when I tried 24 hour, neither the date nor time uploaded. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, I’m looking to create a formula column based off a column which has multiple fields.The Column has one or multiple of SD/HD, UHD, HDR or SDR.I want to create a new column called “Available in UHD?” where if one of UHD, HDR or SDR is there then show Yes. If it has only SD/HD then show no. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been trying to find solution for days now.Temporarily, I'm cleaning the data thru Google sheet changing the minute to minutes and second to seconds. Also adding 0 seconds if the data only says (sample) "3 minutes" and adding 0 minutes if the data only says (sample) "45 seconds". PLEASE HELP

Hi, there!! I need an automation to do exactly what the subject of the topic says. We’ll fill the e-mail field in Table 2 from a csv import. Then we need the automation to lookup that email on Table 1, get the Name value corresponding and then fill the field Aluno in table 2. I found a script in another post that I adapted to what I need but I’m still learning to code so I need help to fix my script. Can anyone pleeeease give me a help? I want to set a Date field to the current date time in an automation. I tried using a formula field (with NOW()) from a previous step in the automation to set this Date field but the automation fails with the error;Field "Date" cannot accept the provided value: Could not convert string to date.No amount of formatting of the formula field is helping. 

I am setting up some automation alerts for records that have incomplete information.I would like to trigger an automation if a new record is created to highlight any records that haven't been correctly filled in.Of course, the newly created record won't have had all the data filled in.I am getting a bit stuck trying to "find records" with a "when record is created" trigger that excludes the record being created.Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a base for supervisors to approve staff requests. I'd like it so supervisors cannot see each others requests or notes. So I have built an interface that is set so they can only see 'Viewers records only,' which is looking at the field: Supervisor, which is a user field. So now I need to add my supervisors to the user field but I cannot see how to do that without adding them to the base itself, which I don't want them to have access to. It will let me add them one by one via their email and it says it won't add them to the base, but I need them in the actual dropdown (for automation purposes). Is there a way to do this? I'm finding it hard to believe that I can shut down access to the base for privacy (by not adding them as collaborators), OR shut down access to the interface for privacy (by using the 'viewers records only' feature), but not both?!

Hey guys,I have noticed an issue recently where "Find Records" from a view is not pulling all records from said view, it's only pulling the first 10. I have maximum record limit set to 1000. The view is definitely pulling more records then that. Anyone else having this bug? And does anyone know a fix?Thanks.
