Hello Airtable Community,My table includes an event title field as well as one for an event date.Event Title:The Chemical Regulations LandscapeEvent Date:June 6, 2004Formula:LEFT({Event Title}, 16)&" - "&{Date}Formula Result:The Chemical Reg - 6/6/2024All good so far…but there are also records that have an event title and no event date, so the formula above  returns #ERROR! for these records.So, for the records sans event date, how can I modify the formula so that it returns the first 16 characters of the event name instead of generating an error?Many thanks in advance for your assistance!John

Hi,I am using AT for the CRM purposes. I've got a list of proposals we're working on within my Proposals Table: https://airtable.com/appGL773TiIYzLwZD/shrzetl6rN5gnxAYzNow, what I'd love to calculate is: based on the stage selected (and % probability assigned to it) and proposal value, I'd like to calculate probability value.So if stage = "Proposal + SOW submitted (50%)" then, it's 50% of the value.Do I need to create another table for the probability? Have my stages outlined, then % and create a formula within my 'proposals' to calculate it?Thank you!

If I use this formula:IF({Whole-Body Conditions}!=BLANK(), {Whole-Body Conditions}, "") & IF({Body: Left Foot}!=BLANK(),CONCATENATE(", ", {Body: Left Foot}), "")I get this result when {Body: Left Foot} is NOT empty, WHICH IS WHAT I WANT: But when {Body: Left Foot} is EMPTY, I get this result that has an extra COMMA:When I take out the comma in the second IF statement, then there's no commas at all whether or not {Body: Left Foot} is empty.So... what's up with that? Shouldn't it ONLY put the comma IF there's content in {Body: Left Foot}? 

I'm new-ish to AirTable formulas (though experienced with spreadsheet formulas) and I have a unique situation where I would like to calculate a calendar date based on a combination of units that include Frequency (eg, monthly or weekly), Day of Week (Mon, Tue, etc.), and Week# of Month.For example:  X event occurs every three months on the third Weds of that month. These schedules are variable by record (it's a client service schedule), so some clients are serviced once per week while others are serviced once every other month, etc. The goal is to show at least the next service date after today (and if possible, all future service dates throughout the year) on a calendar view. But I cannot just add a number of days or weeks to calculate the next date because the schedule needs to place service events on the particular week/day/month combo.I do not have a starting formula yet because I'm not sure what logic is needed to pull together the variables. Hey all, Long time coda.io user switching over to airtable as my business grows. A key feature I love is the ease of building UI’s over the top of the databases. I’ve done some research but haven’t been able to come up with an answer. Using softr.io, stacker or any other alternative… can you have an ‘embeded’ table where the data can be changed. Basically, I want the full functionality of the airtable ‘table’ / ‘view’ to be in a client portal, a long with other items such as invoices etc./ Thanks in advance,

When adding data to Airtable records using Softr, I encounter a significant delay of around 4-5 minutes for the data to appear upon refresh if the records contain foreign keys referencing another table. This delay contrasts sharply with the immediate addition and display of data when records are added to a normal table without foreign key references. The presence of foreign keys seems to introduce a lag in the synchronization or processing time, leading to a noticeable delay before the updated data is visible. This issue may be attributed to the additional steps required to validate and integrate the foreign key relationships within the database, causing a slower response time compared to simple table updates.

I have an automation that is sending a Google Doc link via gmail. But when the link sends, an underscore is left out somehow, so the link doesn't work. Any idea why? I support an organization fundraising in a variety of currencies (USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, ILS). To simplify the process for the person maintaining the list, I have a single number field for the donation amount and a single linked field to select the appropriate currency (this is opposed to having 5-6 different currency fields on the intake form and needing to choose the correct currency field each time). We found that it was easier and faster to use a linked filed as opposed to a single select for currency.I would like to keep a running total of all the donations' values in both USD and EUR so I can use rollup fields to display overall amounts on a dashboard (i.e. my 100 donations in a variety of currencies are worth a total of USD 10,000 or EUR 9,500).Exchange rates are "static" in that if on the day of the donation, the ILS:USD rate is 4:1, it should stay calculated at that rate forever, even if in a year from now the rate is different. Hello All! I was wondering if anyone could explain in more detail how the sync feature works in relation to payment plans. We recently upgraded one of our workspaces to a team plan, and were looking at ways to have more users as read-only. I wanted to see if the Workspace with the Teams plan could operate as a large data repository, across departments and functions. and then have specific views feed into other workspaces. (i.e. A central place for customer data with a wide variety of customer types, and needs) Then the Teams workspace can handle automations, and large numbers of records, while the free workspaces are synced with a subset of the data. I attempted to sync from the Teams workspace to an unpaid one, and it said that it wouldn't work. But it seems to have synced anyway but may just not be updating. Please let me know if this is a viable option, or would there be an automation to automatically push any changes made to the Synced non-Teams Workspaces.&nbsp

Hi all - I’m trying to run an automation using a 3rd party Webhook. When a new Post is sent live, or updated, in my WordPress site I want to send various bits of info about that Post to AirTable. Everything works fine when I use ‘Create Record’ (so I know the webhook works) but obviously if I update the Post at any point it just adds it as a duplicate. So what I want to do is use Update Record instead (I think?). When a new Post is created, add it to AT, if that post is updated, update the record in AT. However - my understanding from this post Update record action failing (error: received invalid inputs.) - #3 by Brian_Nana-Sinkam, given what @Kamille_Parks says, is that I can’t use a Record ID from my Webhook e.g. Post_GUID. I need to use the AT Record ID. Which I don’t have available it seems. Is the only way around this to run the script that Kamille posted or am I missing something? Seems like a weird ‘feature’ if AT designed things this way, so I’m hoping I’m misunderstanding so

I'm not sure if I'm looking for a formula or if what I'm wanting is even possible, so this is just a general question about utilizing the progress functionality for percent fields.What I'm hoping to accomplish is a percent field, set to view as progress, that updates based on the progress between two date fields. So for example, if date 1 (0%) is January 1st, 2024 and date 2 (100%) is December 31st, 2024, I'm wanting the percent progress to update as the year progresses to show as it gets closer to date 2.The progress function is great but if it were able to automatically update for tasks that have start/end dates that would make it all the more powerful. Is this possible?

Hello - I need to calculate a date, in certain circumstances, that is 75 days out from another date in my table. I’m using this formula:SWITCH({S/N}, 'no', DATEADD(DOB, 75, 'days'), 'NOW',DATEADD(DOB, 75, 'days'),'NA')which calculates correctly, but includes a time stamp in the results (2024-07-24T00:00:00.000Z). What do I need to do to my formula to get the date only, in mm-dd-yyyy format? My apologies if this is covered somewhere else. Hi!Two formula questions - I have (4) different date fields with timestamps and need to identify the latest date across the four fields. When doing a Max value, it does not bring in the timestamp or makes it 12:00a as a standard. I also have (2) date fields that I need to calculate the datediff in hours and leaving the field blank if the second date field is empty instead of the NaN.Please help! When mapping a WordPress CF7 with airtable, Airtable allows Contact Form 7 to write into the field Email if it's an "Email" field-type, but not if i convert it to a linked table.I would like that the field "Email" inside of the table Messages links to a table named Email, where Email is the PK. Like this we'll be able to see all related messages.Unfortunately CF7 outputs an error with this setup. Is it there a workaround? Or should be build an airtable automation that reads the contact form user input that goes into the (unlinked) Email field and updates another field named LinkedEmail?So, either CF7 links messages to the Emails table, or we will have to auto-link using an automation.What's your opinion on that?

I have a somewhat complicated formula I wish to create, and as a formula n00b, I don't know where to start. Here's the problem I'm trying to solve:1. I have a series of tags I enter into a single text field, where each tag is separated by a comma. I have two conditions to meet before I list a product with the tags, otherwise, the Make.com automation won't work, and I'll have to spend a fair amount of time deleting a partially created listing and re-editing the record in Airtable. These conditions are 1) I can't have more than 13 CSV tags in the field, and 2) I can't have any duplicate tags.2) I would like to create a formula that displays an ❌ in the formula field if the tags CSV field has more than 13 tags AND/OR duplicate tags. If both conditions are met, display a ✅.Thanks in advance to all the formula wizards out there willing to help! 

I'm trying to use the options from a single select field as an 'input' selection in my script. I'm not sure if Airtable allows this. So far I have: let selectTable = base.getTable("Courses"); let selectField = selectTable.getField('School Year'); let schoolYears = selectField.options.choices; console.log(schoolYears) Which provides Then I make an array from just the names: let yearNames = schoolYears.map(record => ({name: record.name})) console.log(yearNames) Which gives:I'd like to then use those choices as an input: let selectYear = await input.buttonsAsync('Pick a year', [yearNames]); But this gives an error that you need a string. Would this be possible to use? It seems to want a full object literal list and not a variable like this. 

Hi all--We are a publishing company and we sometimes publish the same content multiple times throughout the year. We have a field set up "Publish Date" that shows all of the dates. The problem is when I try to have these feed into our general publishing calendar view, I can either only choose between the Minimum date (the first date) or the Maximum date (the last one), I can't figure out how to show both dates on the calendar (without having it span across the entire time in between the two dates). Is there possibly a way to separate the dates into separate entries and enter them into the calendar that way? Thanks in advance!

So Im pretty new to Airtable and not sure if I am going about this the right way and wonder if someone can point me in the right direction if not. Basically I am trying to use a multi select option to calculate the Extra costs involved in a job with solar installations which I have a field named Extras. So lets just say I have an option of installing on a tile roof which costs an extra 50 which I have added using the formulas below in a separate field called Extras Total.  IF(FIND('Tile Roof', Extras),50) +IF(FIND('3 phase', Extras),200) +IF(FIND('Solar Hot Water Removal', Extras),800) +IF(FIND('Optimiser', Extras),100) +IF(FIND('Panel Removal', Extras),20)  Where I am having trouble is with panel removal and optimisers there may be more than 1 panel or optimiser so is there a way that I can add multiple amounts to these particular options. My only thought would be to add multi options for each one e.g 1 panel removal, 2 panel removal, 3 panel removal etc. But this way w

Hello! Apologies if this is already solved or discuss or I am just missing something obvious. I am trying to create a button on an interface that does the following: Run an automation that has a custom script, create a new record in a different table, and then navigate the user to different section of the Interface. I don't see any automation actions that would navigate the user. I do see that a button can be used on its own to navigate the user to a different section of the interface, but I don't see any way to combine these methods into one swift action. Is something like this possible? I use the found records automation to create my report and the date is in the correct format, her DoB is 10th JulyBut when I add this as a grid of records to the Send an Email automation, the DoB shows as 7/10/1953 i.e. 7th October.and this is what arrives in the recipient's email.

So I think on its own, the and statement should be something like:{Status} != "MoveOn"I just can't figure out where to put each piece and how to close the parentheses. Hey all! Im currently using the Project Management template airtable has provided to track our engineering projects. Id like to remain using this template as it has some functions built in to show progress of each project, and using the predefined fields they display nicely in Gantt view. This is done by linking records from the Tasks table (each record is a task).The template has a table for Projects, and a secondary table with all the Tasks.In our case, every engineering project has the exact same set of tasks, so it wouldn't make sense to keep adding redundant tasks over and over to the Tasks table in order to set up the differing deadlines. I would rather create a new table listing all the tasks for one project, and duplicate the said table and rename for other projects.  The problem with this is that in the Projects table, I can only link to records from one other table, hence the connected formula fields can only show progress of one project. Im not sure how I
