I am syncing my Google Calendar with airtable - one way: I'm adding the bookings on Google Calendar and they display on my airtable calender view. Today, none of my bookings after tomorrow is showing on my Airtable. Is there something wrong? 

I'm creating a script to compare two rollup fields and add the values both share into a third column. The fields roll up linked record fields and return them as just the text in a comma-separated list. Airtable documentation says rollup fields are an array; it looks like this is technically true, but it seems to be an array of a single string. When I log.console the cell value (note, I'm using getCellValue, not getCellValueAsString), I get ["Category 1, Category 2, Category 3"]. I want to get an array of multiple strings: ["Category 1", "Category 2", "Category 3"]. I'm very new to Airtable, so before I try to figure out ways within my script to separate the one string using the commas and all that, I want to make ask:1. Is this single string output the expected behavior, or is my script calling it incorrectly?2. If it's normal, is there way to configure the rollup fields to instead keep them as separate items?

I found a great Airtable template but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get that template into my existing base. I get it that I can sync and then remove the sync, but the reason the template is so cool is because of the multiple tables, views and interfaces.Am I right that I would have to sync each table in the template to my base and then edit to get all of the configurations, like views and interfaces?I also understand that I can make a copy of the template and sync my existing tables to this new base and then delete the old one, but this means that all of the links I've shared out will no longer work, which leads to frustration and less uptake of the toolIf I understand this right, templates are designed only for when you're starting a brand new base and not good for adding to existing bases. Is this correct? I feel like I'm missing something! ETA: I see this feedback from 2017 but I'm only the 3rd person to upvote it in 7 years. Is this really not possibl

Dear all, when I prepare the message of a mail to be sent in an automation, some field (eg.: coming from a column with formula (concatenate)) are different from the original.In particulare the character "_" is lost and even "\\" is changed to "\\".Less important: also some emojis are changed. Could you help me to fix the issue?Thank you very much.Best regardsA. Hi allI have an Orders Table and an Order Line Items table.I have a Date Required field within the Orders Table which is linked to my Order Line Items table.I want to have an Updated ETD (estimated time of departure) field against each line item so it is separate from affecting the overall order ETD (i.e. each line item with one order can have a different ETD).Ideally I want to just show the format as mmm-yy (i.e. July-24)Any ideas on automating this so that the Updated ETD takes the Date Required data but can be editable? Thanks!

I have two numerical values, A and B, that I am using to create a range field. Here is my current formula:CONCATENATE({A}, "-", {B}). So far so good. The tricky part is that not all of the entries have a B value, in which cases the result will look like {A}-. Ideally I would like it to just return the single value from A without the hyphen in this scenario. I have tried using an IF to say IF(BLANK({B})) but here is where I get lost.  Any advice is appreciated! I am very new to formulas... 

Hi AllMy apologies if this is too simplistic - I’ve only got six months or so experience with Airtable…I suspect use case doesn’t matter here, since my “issue” is at the record and field level. Here is the scenario:- a form with some fields pre-filled is sent to a Client for additions and updates, is submitted by them, and creates a new record in an UPDATE table, separate from the main, “real” table; Clients often have no regard for “garbage in, garbage out”…- a manual review of the two tables “side-by-side” is performed to make sure data in each field is the type of data expected - both in text and attachment fields- an automation does an “Update Record” on the main table, using the data from the UPDATES table record, hence moving the new data to the Client's existing record in the main tableThe result is that blank fields in the UPDATE table overwrite existing data in the main table. Hi there,I am new to using automations and hopeful this is something I'm just overlooking. I'm having trouble with an automation for a "Shift Reminder" SMS.Goal is:1. At a Trigger time find records with a Start Date of "day after" trigger2. Send SMS to associated cell numbers with each trigger to remind of shiftI have no issues if there is only one record returned. The SMS goes through without issue. If there is a second record returned the first record SMS goes through but the second record SMS is ignored.Would be so appreciative of any help! Thanks!  

I am currently in the process of using Airtable to build a new shipping schedule. I have grid view set up so it is grouped by delivery date because it is very important for management to be able to quickly see how many pools are scheduled to ship out on any given day. The problem is that when an order is canceled, it still appears in the count. Is there any way to exclude certain records from being included in that count? Thank you.

Thanks in advance everyone - Tried searching but couldn't find anything recent/relevant Currently we are using email automations to conditionally send first articles to our customers to approve, which works - but I'd like a more elegant solution. In an ideal situation, once a record matches certain conditions, it sends a form (interface or other) pulling the image from our base, and the customer can use a check box / comment section to send approval back to us - and updates our records with the checkbox selected and or comments sent.Thanks again - If I missed anything in my search, another advanced thank you for pointing me in the right direction.                                                                   

Hi,  I am very new to AirTable but have a lot of relational DB experience years ago, using first dBase, then MS Access.  I am working on a simple project for my golf club that calls out for a RDB solution.  I have started learning AT, but am stuck at a very basic level. Hello! I have a formula to count how many workdays are left between a data and “today” and when the reference data is “after today”, the output returns a negative number (as it should). I am looking for a way to get my formula to only return “0” when that situation occurs. I haven’t figured out the nested if statement logic to make it work. Does anyone have a solution to this? HelloI'm looking for some assistance with my base design. I come from a SQLServer background and can do this easy here but not getting the best way to build for AT...The ScenarioI have a list of users and a list of products.  It's collectibles so I want to be able to know what users have what products, and more importantly which don't they have.In SQL I'd just create a UserProduct table and pretty much create a record for every user for every product and just record it there (not hugely scalable I know but not a big issue).In AT I already have the two base tables Users and Products.  I know once I have the base data I can create Got/Not Got views easily but that base table is baffling me - probably over thinking!!!I'm sure it's easy but I'm just not getting itTIAMike

One table is called Appointments where we upload an invoice in the attachment field called "Invoice" and another table is called "Contacts" where we store all invoices in the field "All Invoices" for a certain contact. I'd like to create an ID that include:First, if Cell A = xYx then add "Z" to start. If Cell A = YxY then add "ZD" to start.Then, take first letter from name and surname, and then add these. Hi Airtable Community,I have a base with different automations with the same trigger. I would like to set an order by with these automations are triggered.For example, I would like Automation one to be triggered first. After automation 1, the automation 2 should start immediately.the easiest would be, to just add another “Find records” and another Repeating Group in this automation. Unfortunately, its not possible to add anything behind a repeating group.I Want specific phases and tasks for projects to be generated. Both needs to be linked to the project and the tasks should be linked to the phases. To do so, I need the phases to be created first (trigger=new project meets condition). After that, I need the tasks to be created and linked to the phases. When both automations start at the same time, some of the tasks are not properly linked because the phase was not created yet. I'm really hoping this can be accomplished without needing to create yet another formula field, so I'll give details below and see where I get. 🙂I have fields for start and end dates and then a formula that calculates the duration between them, including when the end date is blank and then it just keeps counting from the start. I want to have a chart show this data on an interface, but I don't want every single value showing uniquely on the chart if possible.Instead, I'd like to have it group them into buckets for things like 0-30 Days, 31-90 days, 90+ days, but I can't see any way to do that intelligently within the interface. My fear is that I'm going to need a formula field that gathers this at the table level and then point the pie chart to that field instead of the duration field.Anyone have a suggestion for the best way to accomplish this kind of reporting? Can't seem to find this on the community board, but if it has already been answered - I'd appreciate a link. I have Projects and Subprojects. The latter being the child. So there are a few Subprojects for every Project. On the other hand, I have Project managers. I want to have a "Tasks" table with all the tasks assigned to Project managers. My issue is that I want tasks to be EITHER created related to the Subproject, OR related to the main Project. The same exact relationship issue I encounter is when I have "Payments". A payment can be to a subcontractor - and therefor related to a Subproject. OR a payment can be to a Sales agent who brought the Project - and then it would be to the project. If I create two tables for these (i.e. "Project Tasks" and "Subproject Tasks" or "Project Payments" and "Subproject Payments") then it really just duplicates a lot and it also makes it impossible to create a normal interface to see all tasks assigned to me

Earlier today, I deleted some value options from one of my single-select fields (Team Type) in one of my tables - I did not do anything else like delete the field, change its type, or change any field permissions. Now in the Interface builder, a Grid element linked to that table is grayed out with the error message "Field "Team Type" was changed and can no longer be selected". I have hidden and unhidden Team Type from the grid Fields list, and gone into Edit it and then Saved it without making further changes, but nothing I've tried is working. I made this change a while ago, so it is impossible to go back and literally undo the actual option deletion action I did, and the change is necessary for our data so I don't want to return the data to its previous state anyway. Does anyone know what is happening here and how I can restore my grid? Thank you for anything you can offer!

Probably a simple solution, but I can not figure it out. I am using the following script to try to get a list of all of the records in a specific table.let table = base.getTable("Codes");let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync();console.log (query) When I run this, I get the following error O: No field with ID fldwfud1d0wv3rdVD in table 'Codes' at main on line 2When I run this same coding using one of the other tables, it works as expected. Any ideas on how to fix this? It is getting in the way of the larger script I am trying to write.

Hi,I have seen a few posted questions that are similar to my scenario, but I need more specific assistance. I am trying to update my Appointments grid view records when someone cancels their appointment that they've scheduled through Calendly. I have tried to create the right formulas for record look up in Zapier and Airtable Automations, but they keep coming up empty. In Zapier, it looks like it might be a multi-step search which is only available on paid plans and I really don't want to have to pay for another subscription to do what might be possible in Airtable alone. Please help! Longtime Airtable user, but limited experience with Interfaces.My regular workflow has three browser windows open at once:Window 1: Shows the fields of one record from Table AWindow 2: Shows a filtered view of the records in Table BWindow 3: Shows a filtered view of the records in Table CIs there a way to create a single interface to show these things?

I would really like the ability to group related tabs within a base - it would make our database so much tidier and easier to navigate. Thus far I can see no such function. Does it exist, and if not, how can I suggest such a function to them?
