This will allow you to stop accepting form responses and show a friendly message to your users instead of the form. Previously, you would have had to unshare the form and users would see a generic page unavailable message. Have you ever had a lot of fields in a view, and had difficulty finding the field? Well now searching (with CMD-F / CTRL-F) will highlight fields as well as cells: Zooming into the exciting part: You might also notice that we added summary information at the bottom. The number of cells found (in case you relied on how many “matches” were found previously), as well as how many matching records and fields there are!

Hello, I’m Rosalind and I’m a Product Marketing Manager at Airtable. I’m excited to share a small but often-requested new feature with you today: the ability to output the result of formula fields as a set of single-select options! Formula fields already allow you to output their results as plain strings, numbers, and dates, and now we’re adding the ability to output results as a set of predefined single-select options. Single-select options are more visually pleasing than plain strings and clearly illustrate that a field has one value within a defined set of possible values. We’ve heard from many Airtable builders who have used Automations to achieve the same result by copying formula results into single-select fields – hopefully, those Automations can now be retired! Hello Airtable Community, We're back with some little big timeline view improvements to make it easier to plan and manage capacity across projects. Here's a high-level summary of the improvements we've made: 1. Re-designed summary bar ☘️ We made the summary bar fully responsive, so values will be visible in most cases. When they're cut off you can now easily mouse over them to see the full value. We also improved the display of holidays and time off which now show as 'PTO' or whatever custom label you prefer. 2. Drill into tasks & projects 🔎 You can now group by person first and tasks / projects second, allowing you to get a high level picture of your team’s utilization and then drill down into the specific work each person is assigned to. 3. Assign tasks to multiple people 👨‍👨‍👦 It’s pretty common that work is split between multiple people. We’ve received many requests from form creators who want the ability to see who submitted a form response without needing to add an additional name or email form field. We’re excited to announce that we’ve added a new feature to the form view that will allow form creators to collect submitter information automatically. Form creators can opt into this functionality using the ‘Collect respondent email addresses automatically (sign-in required)’ toggle at the bottom of the form designer. When toggled on, form submitters will be asked to sign into Airtable or make an account so their name and email address can be collected with their form submission. Then, form creators will be able to see who submitted the form in the ‘Created by’ field, which is

What’s new? Reactions. With comment reactions, you can quickly share feedback and show support with an emoji reaction. Threading. With threaded record comments, you can add a comment in reply to another comment to help keep async discussions organized. Comment watching. Comment watching allows you to monitor specific comment threads and get notifications when new comments are made. Our three new commenting features are available for all users. Sign into Airtable to give it a try and let us know what you’d like to see next!

Starting today, users can access an expanded list of layout types on mobile, including Kanban views, Charts, and Numbers. New Interfaces functionality on mobile Automatic setup . All you need to do to access your interfaces is log in to your Airtable account through our mobile application on an iOS or Android device – your interfaces will show up automatically! New Linked Record Creation/Deletion in Various Elements The first enhancement allows collaborators to create and delete new linked records directly within List, Grid, Calendar, Kanban, and Timeline elements. This feature simplifies the process of adding and deleting related records. Gone are the days of the lock icon and complex workarounds to create/delete linked records in interfaces. Hello! I’m Ayesha, a Product Manager here at Airtable. We’re so excited to share a small improvement to let you display your percentages as progress bars. What are progress bars? For your fields that are formatted as a Percent, you can choose to display the field as a progress bar. You’ll see the progress bar in all the surfaces where you see that field today, across your bases and interfaces. In forms, you’ll still see just a numeric input. How do you enable progress bars? Progress bar formatting is a supported option for the following field types: Editable fields Percent Computed fields with a numeric result (format must be “Percent”) Formula Rollup Lookup (only lookups with 1 number value are shown as a progress bar.) Enable it with “Display as progress bar” under Formatting. You can also enable the ability to see the percent values next to the progress bar. How can you customize the colors? We’re so excited to share a new feature with you that allows you to change the term “record” in the product to a term that’s more specific to your table. What is this? When you name a table, you can now optionally select a name for your records from a list of 50+ options. You’ll see that name used in the product where you see your table or view, so you can more easily understand what actions you’re taking. For example, instead of seeing the generic “Add record” action: You can now override this “record” terminology by specifying the work that you want to track. If you choose to call your record a “task”, you and your team can now see “Add task”: How can I set this for a table? You can select this from the dropdown next to a table name, under “Rename table”: What options can you choose from? You can now limit the records that can be selected on a linked record field by configuring a filter based on the value from another field from the same record. For example, when assigning People to a Task, instead of browsing through the full table of People, you can now filter the linked records available for selection based on another field on the Tasks table, in this case we can use the value of the Skills Required field to filter the list of People to only those that have the relevant Skills: How to configure On a linked record field configuration, toggle on the option to Filter record selection by a condition .
