Hello! I am pulling stats for an interface dashboard and I am trying to make sure I know what some of the terms mean exactly and have searched for term definitions but can't find a list. Does anyone know if one exists? Here are a couple of examples of what I mean. When I put in "is within" "this past week" I want to know exactly what days we are talking about what is "this past week" is it Sun - Sat of the previous week? Also terms like "this past month" Does that mean the past 30 days or all days in the month prior to the current month.Thanks,Debbie

Both we and the new company have our own client lists in Airtable and we would like to combine these, as we have some shared clients already, without (at this stage) merging the Airtable bases in their entirety.We would like people from both sides of the business to see each other's clients in one place, so that:1. we can see which clients are shared2. we don't create records for clients that already exist in one of the basesNew clients added in one base should be updated in the other base too.Ideally, clients should be able to be created in the existing 2 bases and update across, rather than created in a new 3rd base, but if that's not possible then that's fine.The clients will be linked to other tables in the respective bases and these linked fields should be displayed (via plain text if needed) in all bases.Does anyone have any ideas how we can do this? Hello, I want to use forms to let people outside my organization link records among my existing tables. I don’t want to let them create new records. Just let them link one field to another. Is there a way to achieve this through forms? I’m having trouble with the primary field being just a string of text. Ideally, someone could select the primary field from a dropdown, and then link whatever they want to to that specific primary field, without creating a new record. Use case example I have a list of companies as my primary field. I want someone to use forms to pick a company and associate it to a topic (currently linked to a Topics table, it basically acts as a multiple select).

Hey everyone,I have a 2 formula fields that generate prefilled form links. The forms are nearly identical and contain a number of linked record fields. I have noted that some of the prefilled linked record fields fail to prefill when opened with different Chrome profiles, or on Safari, on my own computer. Here is the spread of variation:Chrome Profile 1: Everything works as expected across both formsChrome Profile 2: For given records, both form links failed to load (Chrome says the page is unresponsive). I have not determined a common cause across records who's links fail yet. When the form links do load, there are (2) linked record fields that do not prefill.Incognito: All form links load (including those that do not load in Profile 2). 1 form works fully as expected, the other has (1) linked record field that does not prefill.Safari:  An inconsistent mixture of all anomalous behavior referenced above.I understand tha

Not all data records are stored in my table A, so some fields are empty. Now I would like to fill the empty fields using a form. is this possible?Approach: I would have to select the data record or data from the primary field so that the data records to be updated can be assigned correctly. so that the missing data is added when submitting the form.

Hi Airtable Community,I’m currently managing a database where payments are recorded in a “Payments” table, attendance is tracked in a “Attendance” table, and student information is kept in a “Students” table, all to maintain good data normalization. However, I’ve run into a significant issue when trying to create a “Debtors” table. Creating a unique list of student-class combinations from the “Attendance” table was not as straightforward as I had hoped. It required exporting the data to Google Sheets to generate that unique list. Additionally, I was able to automatically link each payment to the attendance records by using an automation based on a shared key (student-class-period) between the payment records and the attendance records. Hello, our team is using AirTable in a Scrum environment. Each sprint we point our stories and calculate our velocity. Currently this is a manual process. Is there a way to automate in in AirTable?

I want to monitor a specific field in a table called countries that stores comma-separated country codes like “GB, US, ES, SG” etc. If the data in the field changes in some way (i.e. a new territory code appears) then I want to trigger an automation (e.g. send a slack message) but I ideally want that automation to flag exactly what changed (e.g. “TH was added to the country list of record x”). Is that possible with Airtable’s existing functionality? i.e. that you can catch the specific change that triggered the change event? Thanks for any thoughts!

Is there a way for notification automation to send link to the record from interface instead of base?

Hi. I've a simple contact us form and that form also records date and time of a new entry. Is there a way for a new record to show up automatically on top of the base as opposed to bottom?

I need to create a form that includes a dynamic table-like structures within a question, where you can input multiple rows of data (objects) and assign a different value (like a dropdown selection) to each row in a grid format, and syncs this data to Airtable with one object per row and each selection per field. Furthermore, I need the system to recognize if an object has been submitted more than once and not add another row, but rather add the 2nd requester name to an existing row. Hi guys, Just trying to achieve the following. No luck so far. It’s a way to reduce inventory numbers of products based on the available qty of the parts that make up that product. I’d like for this to be nested. So if we have a wheel that is made of [tyre,tube,rim] and a bike that is made of [2 x wheel,1 frame etc], if we increase the qty of tyres, we will increase the qty of the wheels which will increase the quantity of the bikes buildable.eg. Table 1. (Products) Tyre Tube Rim Wheel Frame Seat Handlebars Bike Table 2 (Bill of Materials) Wheel - 1 x tire, 1 x tube, 1 x rim. Bike - 2 x wheels, 1 x frame etc. I can get it to work with one level of BOM. So if I had it as Bike = 2 x tires, 2 x tubes, 2 x rims, 1 x frame etc it works well. For the audit log events API, when I submit a startTime and EndTime .. the answer back is in UTC or local time ? if it is in local time, according to what setting is set ?

Hi guys,I currently have a status filed (New, Opened, Responded). I have the "New" and "Responded" sorted via automations, but is there anyway to update the "Status" from "New" to "Open" when someone opens the record within an interface screen.Any thoughts or help would help massively!

I have a very frustrating problem that started last week. I have an automation that when a record is created a slack message is sent to a slack channel attached to the record. It fails every single time but if i test it it works perfectly every time. It worked until last week and now fails eery time. Any suggestions

Hello AT community.Really scratching my head here, maybe someone can help.Some context, my company offloads data for carriers. We have clients that host access points, basically wifi radios, those access points each bring in a certain amount of revenue.I have a client table, an access point table (basically inventory), and a Access point revenue table. The Access Point table is linked to the client table so it shows which client owns it. The record ID for the Access point table and the revenue table are the same. What I need is an automation that will match the Access Point in the Revenue table to the Access point table to the Access Point in the inventory table. If they match I need it to pull the client that owns the access point and add it to the record in the revenue table. Hopefully that makes sense and thank you for the help

Hello !I am building an e-commerce platform where employees can buy services and products while benefiting from a coupon from their employer. Therefore, for each service and product, I might have dozen of different prices depending on who their employer is and how much they finance.I would like to generate a specific Stripe URL for each Airtable record, so that an employee could select a service or a product, and I would send them an email with the price applicable for them, and the Stripe URL. This URL would redirect them to a Stripe page with the amount prefilled (and ideally their e-mail too), so that they can proceed to checkout.I would like to know if that is feasible and what are the key modules I must use to do so.Thank you,Elodie

I am trying to allocate monthly expenses across our business units (BUs)  based on pre determined splitting criteria, some of those criteria change month over month, such as the percentage of revenue each business unit is producing. What I'm trying to do right now (but failed at it) is linking four different tables: 1. Transfers --> All the payments we have done in a month2. Suppliers --> A list of all suppliers we currently have3. Splitting criteria --> A list of all the possible splitting criteria (Equal splitting across BUs , splitting by  revenue%, etc) 4. Splitting % --> Given each splitting criteria, how would the percentages be assigned to each BU each month. For example if the split is by revenue %, what percentage of revenue each BU produced every month, or if it is equal splitting all BUs get 33% every month. This table has the following columns: month, splitting criteria, pctg to BU1, pctg to BU2, pctg

Alright, this is a bit convoluted, so I'm hoping someone out there is much more comfortable with automations than I am because this is driving me absolutely crazy. I have a list of companies that are being tracked as they're evaluated, but I want to be able to cross-reference them on the same table to indicate they're being evaluated for the same need. For instance, if I have records for Coke, Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper, I want to be able to go into the Coke record and have a linked record field that points to the same table, and I want to be able to link Pepsi and Dr. Pepper as also soda options.That part is easy, I've got it configured. The trick is that when I do this, what I want is for an automation to automatically go to the Pepsi record and update the linked record field to add Coke, showing the two are linked. Same for Dr. Pepper. The dream scenario is that Pepsi and Dr. Pepper would also reference each other automatically, but I bet that's probably pushing it a bit far.

There are a bunch of great input methods that one can use in the scripting extension to take text imputs or allow a user to select a specific record. THey are not avaiable in automations, but unfortunately it seems that running a script in an interface requires one to use an automation. Is there a way to get inputs from user through a pop-up in an interface run script?If not this is a much needed feature!
