I have uploaded images as attachments to about 250 records in a base. Each one uploads without issue and I’m able to see the preview in grid view and the full image in gallery view. I checked each attachment as it was uploaded. The problem is after the fact: now, about 25% of them are coming up as empty jpg icons in both views. When I attempt to open the image within an individual record, the same thing happens - a white box with the jpg icon and the file name. Any insight? I’ve tried refreshing the base, but to no avail…

TLDR: Is dokuwiki a reasonable solution for non-airtable user account management? Or is there something better?As I'm trying to build my application for a social maker related nonprofit organization  that has about 105 members that cycle in and out, some are leaders in the group (9 board members, 4 officers, 6 area leads, etc), I want to have airtable data available to all registered members such as read only the member list and their contact information, and other people that can have access to member maintenance.  And each member would be able to update their own information (self help).  But with 100+ members, giving each an airtable account would be difficult to manage.But then I realized we have a wiki page that supports user management, and I might be able to embed forms and views in certain pages that require different access. The public api returns a very limited set of attributes in the list and get endpoints for bases and records, such as who to attribute creates and updates to. This would be very useful information to include in the api response so that third party apps can attribute Airtable records / bases to their authors. Currently record comments are the only thing to reference a user.Even at the enterprise level, the audit logs have some limited user information on creates and updates to bases, but nothing around records.

I have been staring at this too long and thinking myself into circles, need some fresh eyes! I have a base set up with 4 linked tables: schools, which are then linked to 3 program tables for SFS registrations, YF events, and Grants (2 sub-programs, AP grants and YF grants). The overall structure:  Each time a school participates in a program, a new record is created in the program table and linked to that school. A unique record name is generated indicating the program, year, and a unique id # (e.g. SFS-23-24-001). All of this is working great - in my schools table I have nice linked fields for each program where I can see what a school is up to. I am trying to set up an automation where when a diagnosis field for a trip in one table is updated it finds the corresponding person (that is connected) in another table and updates a diagnosis field in that table where only different diagnosis is entered. Attached is what I have started. It doesn't run. I tried adding a find records step but couldn't configure the condition (screen grab also attached). Suggestions please!

Hi Airtable Fans, what I am going to ask will sound crazy, but bare with me :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: Sofar, Airtable has been a fantastic ace in my sleeve to build prototype and MVP (minimum viable product) applications faster than any of my colleagues can spin off a Java Virtual Machine. Saving, malaxing and serving data with Zapier and co. is absolutely fantastic. Some of those prototypes even landed “in production” and are still in use today because rewriting them “for real” wouldn’t have a high enough return on investment. Big THANKS to the Airtable team for that! Right now, I am facing the next challenge. The next prototype I’d need to validate a business application idea with, would require some kind of user- and user-specific-data management. Hoping someone here has the missing piece. Goal: In an Airtable form when selecting the Other option to a pre-defined list of options, and entering a single line text for that option, that text then presents in the original table with the other pre-defined options for future selecting. I have:Table 1 that populates via a form built in Form View. The form asks for the submitters State.Multiple tables that are predefined lists of Group names based on State. For example one table is all CA group names, another all MA group names, etc. Each table has an Other option.In the form when someone selects a state, the respective table of their state's Group options presents. Very new to AirTable and I'm working in a file created by someone else. Right now, I need to know how to move a row. (The data is in Alphabetical order, and one entry name has changed. I need to re-order it. I just want to drag the row to a different place but it doesn't work)Also, I have grouped the data but can't seem to UNgroup it! The chat bot said to unselect the grouping criteria, but there is no way to do that. Help!

The List interface allows for Grouping of fields within records - which makes it visually much easier for users when records have many fields.Is this available for other types?  I would like it on Record detail but cant make it work.Margaret  

Hi,Our process includes creating hundreds of Google Drive folders for client sharing during a year. This is now done manually, and I am looking at automating it if possible. Ideally a trigger in Airtable would the use some information identifying the client, create a Google Drive folder, make the access "Anyone with the link", fetch that link back to Airtable, and send out an email to the client.Alternatively, Airtable would be watching a specified Google Drive directory for creation of new directories, then initiate the process of changing access and pushing the link to Airtable.Any ideas?Rgds,BjörnPS. Hi,We need to collect longer testimonials (round one A4) from hundreds of clients during a year, process them (re-write and polish before publishing) and have the clients approve the edits.Ideally I would just create fields for this in Airtable (draft -> approve button -> final -> published), but to my understanding Airtable doesn't allow free user to edit anything sent out form the base. And forms are made to be one-to-many, not enabling a form per client to be sent out, non?We use Google Sheets so I somehow vaguely think this should be doable with some creative Sheets integrations, but I can't envision it concretely.Anybody out there who could see this clearly, what would be the elegant and robust way to do it?BjörnPS. I've built a scheduling app on the Airtable interface. While the interface is ready I realised I cannot give open access to users to use my app as they all have to be on my paid plan from my understanding. Can someone guide me on how I should make it accessible to all. I thought of setting up authentication in bubble and embedding the interface there with forms so that the user can update the info but I cannot find embedding code for interface without making it public. this is urgent please

Hi all,I have met an issue where i've created an interface page that can be drilled down to a record detail. However, although i can see the fields perfectly fine, my team mate who has editor permissions only sees the fields as 'deleted' and I'm not sure what the issue is.  This is what my team mate sees. This is what i see.I have re-shared the interface with her, edited her permissions, created a new record detail page but none of it worked so far. Did anyone else encounter this issue? How did you resolve it? Thanks in advance! 

My colleague and I are trying to build a base where we can compare the payroll data from a csv. file (outsourced data) with data we have already stored in Airtable. We would like to compare the expected payrate we have stored in Airtable to the actual pay in the payroll report csv. file. We are having a difficult time figured out a way to compare two tables within the same base. We are importing a new csv. file into a table every 2 weeks and then we have a second table where our stationary data from Airtable lives and we hope to cross check both of these tables to make sure everyone is receiving the correct anticipated pay and if that is anticipated pay is not aligned with the expected pay then creating formula that would indicate to us that the amounts do not match. We were wondering if there is anyone out there who has any advice for comparing two sets that are on two separate tables but within the same base and creating a way to indicate to us the mismatch

Hello, I'm trying to import csv files into existing tables and wanted to perform upsert/insertion of only new records by comparing it with the records in the existing table.I'm using import csv extension to accomplish this, but ended in duplicate records for some rows. The merge operation is not accomplishing the task of avoid insertion of duplicate rows if its already present in the existing table.Message: Detected records with merge field value "". All matching records will be overridden to match the first matching row.In this case, its neither overriding nor avoiding the row and inserting both two rows with the same value resulting in duplication. The Merge column chosen is unique.Can someone assist with this issue.

Hi. I'm new to airtable, but I have a background as an ERP developer. I'm doing baby steps on my application to see if I can get airtable to help me manage a member-run makerspace. Currently I do it with excel and google forms. Hopefully this is something easy to do with an automation, but I'm very green at present.I have google sheet that gets filled in each time a person fills out a google form, including their photo that is stored as a url to a google doc folder.  When I import the data from this google sheet, I can assign it as a url, but is there a way with an automation to take the URL and add it to the record as an attachment?  The end result is that I want to be able to send out a form to the board members to approve, along with the photo of the applicant, if they submit one. Currently I can do this in google forms, notifying the board via an email, but this is the first step of converting our system to airtable.Thanks in advance.Jeff

Hi, I'm setting up an automation so that a webhook from another app (Instantly) triggers it. Webhook contains 'email', 'label' and other values. The goal is - when LABEL is added, it should create a record or update the existing one.I want to set up the following but so far failed:- After the trigger of adding a label...- If a record with the same 'email' field doesn't exist - create a new record.- If a record with the same 'email' field exists - update the record and its label but DON'T replace the old label - just add the new one in the same field with the old one (multi select)-----I think I managed to set up the updating part (pic below) but I don't know how to prevent overwriting the 'label' field when the record with the same email exists.Any ideas?Thanks! 

I have 2 automations that takes ~2500 new records. The first one clears the link field and links them to their matching records in another table. The second takes all of the ones that failed in the first automation(these failures are due to the imported list having items that dont match up cleanly and need to check another field) and ADDs them to the link field.These work >95% of the time. My issue occurs because so many automations run at the same time and some of these records need to link to the same record in the second table. This causes them to overwrite each other. I would like to find a way to slow this automation down and have it run in chunks or even 1by1 since it doesn't take too long per record. Does anyone have any ideas on how to trickle this automation or break it up into chunks?

Anyone have any experience with geocodeing? I’m working with Airtable and Integromat to try to create a few integrations with location data that I’m collecting in airtable. I’m looking to be able to geocode or reverse geocode any record in a table. I have a webform that will detect and capture gps coords if available, or the user can hand enter an address. When capturing the data I would like to use integromat to to geocode or rervese geocode so that the database contains both gps and physical addresses. Another thing I’m hoping to figure out is how to do route planning, which I believe is possible through the google maps api, given a selection of addresses. Does anyone have any examples or experience here they could share.
