I have a table linked to itselfA Lookup field type still works fineBut a Count field type always returns the value 1 when in some cases it should be more than 1

I have a field where people can enter a birthdate. I want that to show up on a calendar view in Airtable. Unless the year is the current year, it's not showing up on the calendar. I tried using a formula field but then I can't get the formula field to show up on the calendar. How do I get it so people can enter the actual birthday say 2-6-68 but have it show up on a Feb 2024 calendar view in airtable? Also, do I need to do anything different so that in 2025 it would show up in Feb calendar view?

Hi all. I was wondering if there is a possibility to use a formula to have the quarterly date shown automatically. I want to link it with automations, to send reminders each quarter in the year.Specifically I need this function, to be reminded to collect invoices each quarter. In my case the quarters are as followed:Q1 Jan - MarQ2 Apr - JunQ3 Jul - SepQ4 Oct - DecSo the formula field should automatically show ex. March 31, 2024. With the automation that I would then add it gets triggered once this date is reached. As a result then, once March 31 was reached, the field should update to the next quarter June 30, 2024 and so on. Which should make it easier to track and remind myself/the team to collect the quarterly invoices. Hope this makes sense.

I am trying to figure out how to create a formula that would remove the text before a URL in a field.Example:Website: http://2pillarschurch.comHow do I remove the Website: portion so it just shows the URL?

If I change the default value for a field will the new default value only apply to newly added records?  Or will this cause existing records to be updated with the new default value also?

Good Day, I need assistance with a formula, I would like to count the status of registered learners for a specific project. I tried the Counta formula but the numbers does not add up correctly. It shows for example 2 learners registered against the project code, but none of the learners are registered yet, therefor should show 0? COUNTA({Learner registration status},"Registered")

Hi,I am a Airtable newbie and am having a bit of a challenge figuring out how to properly link 2 tables.  Table 1 (Vehicles) stores Vehicle data - Plate, Make, Model, etc. Table 2 (Fuel Log) stores  - Plate, Litres and Fillup DateI would like to include a field in Table 1 that shows the total litres for each vehicle.  I have tried linking by Plate (not sure if that is correct) and can't figure out how to show the total litres in table 1. I would also want to be automatically update the total in the Vehicles tables when a new row is added in the Fuel Log table.Would appreciate any assistance.ThanksSteve

In our workflow, users can be assigned to the same record multiple times. I need a way to track how many times a user was assigned to a record and, ideally, list the record name to which the user was assigned. Is there a way to do it with automation, or is it better to do it with the formula?

Dear Community!When creating a timeline view with a "Day" timescale the horizontal axis ranges from 1st Dec 2023 to 20th Aug 2024. Is there a way to adjust these start and end dates of the timeline?I'm trying to make use of the timeline view for planning shifts during an event that only goes for a few days and the massive range on the horizontal axis makes the view basically unusable.Best regardsHenry

Hello, I am brand newt Airtable. So far it has been very good and a pleasant experience. I am a long time user and developer in MS Access. So there is some adjustment. In Access, when you link two tables, you can tell Access that you want to link via one field, but display another. So, I have a table with a linked field to another table. Airtable is showing me the primary key. Is there a way to show a more informative field? I am so used to using primary auto numbers that I cannot break the habit. So now all I see is a record number. I would like to see say the customer last name that is part of that record. Thanks in advance for the help. Best, Scott

Hello, On my Database  I have a table called "inventory".On my work spase i have two users, me as an admin and the second as an Editor user only.In the Inventory table i want that the second user will be able to create his own records and edit them, but cannot edit my records- right now he cannot delete the whole record but he can delete the values in his fields.Is this possible?

Does anyone know the formula to subtract 3 hours from date and time field but... show just the time please? This formula provides the correct answer showing date and time but... DATEADD({Departure Date & Time},-3,'hours') ...when I add this to the formula to they and show just time -- the time is completely wrong. DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD({Departure Date & Time},-3,'hours'),'h:mmA') My attempts have resulted in a series of #Errors. Any ideas please? Thank you.

Hello everyone, I have two tables: Pre-production and Production. I was able to make an automation so if I "approve" a project submitted through form to Pre-production table, a new record is created in Production with the same name and info. Now I want to make an automation so if the info in Pre-production table is updated, it will also update the same info in the Production table. But I keep getting an error. What am I doing wrong? 

Hi. I'm creating a base that would be populated by the form. There'll be some fields that will be handled inside the base by paid users. I've created an automation that would send an email to a departement once the status changes. People would get a link to that record so they can change the status but when I tested it, an airtable account that isn't in our workspace doesn't have the ability to access that record. Is there a workaround that would allow people who are not in workspace to interact with  the base through the link generated in the automated email? All we want them to do is to change the status.I'm attaching a few screenshots. What we want is to have the user see the record as in the screenshot named airtable4. Thank you! 

Hey guys,I'm having trouble using a valuta like € 1.333,61 in a formula. It's being recalled from another table using a Lookup field. I've tried adding a new formula column/field and reformatting it first, before using it in a formula, but without any success so far. I keep getting the NaN error when using the value in a formula. All other fields/data in the calculation are valuta's like € 1.333,61 as well. Can you guys give me a hint? Thanks!

I have data coming in from interface forms that is structured with headers like this:Name 1 / Email 1 / Address 1  / Name 2 / Email 2 / Address 2.... and so on, all the way up to 100! Yes, 100!We use this data to fill in PDF forms so it must come in as 1 row (at least with the app that I am using, I am using PDF Maker by Bustbrain labs).My question is, is there a way to split this data into multiple records like this:Name / Email / Address (header)Name 1 / Email 1 / Address 1Name 2 / Email 2 / Address 2Also, I need the data to sync, so that if there's an update on the 1st table where the data is in a single row, it will also update the data in the split records.I am open to a script, automation, syncing and duplicating tables, whatever I need to do to accomplish this. HiI am a curriculum coordinator in higher education and have multiple bases/tables/forms that contain/gather information about course units in the curriculum. All information always relates to a course unit, e.g. Business Economics. All the information needs to be linked so I can always look up information in other bases/tables, but I'm not sure when to create a new base, create a new table in a base or create a new view. These are some of the data I have:Curriculum 'technical information': per course unit how many credits, elective or not, prerequisites, timing (SEM1 or SEM2) etc.Curriculum task allocation: information that comes from an export from our CRM which shows which lecturer will be teaching a particular course unit in which semester(s) to which class group. The unique key here is a formula field concatenating course unit - class group - semester - lecturer, e.g. Bachelor Thesis - Class Group 2 - SEM2 - John Doe.
